Lieberman to lunch alone

Clearly, there are consequences for those who leave their former party and then address the other party’s convention: Former Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., will no longer attend Democrats’ weekly caucus lunches or biweekly lunches of committee chairmen. Stay tuned for whether he’ll keep his chairmanship of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Of course, if John McCain wins in November, Lieberman might end up being secretary of state or defense — not a bad trade-off.

Joe Lieberman is a good man. After all, he was Al Gore’s selection for Vice President. :)

Of course, the Democraps do like to throw people under the bus. This practice is occurring more and more as those who don’t march in lockstep with the Crats are given the ‘Scarlet Letter’ for being independent thinkers.

    Sieg Heil Democrites.

Making the Senator from Israel a man without a country is sufficient reason alone to vote Democratic.

“Sieg Heil Democrites” — the wefu

And this from the wefu. Now what country once preached Aryan supremacy, and whose convention was lily white?

Lieberman thinks he’ll get an appointment from mccain from which he’ll be able to do more for Israel.

Absent a 60-vote majority, it’s unclear what Reid will do about Lieberman. The Dems might need him on a few issues, but the same is true of some of the more liberal New England Republicans. Would he abandon those positions, just out of spite, if he got the royal boot?

The real question is whether Lieberman is already thinking of jumping ship himself, before he’s pushed.

Lieberman’s future depends on the elections, if the dems. get a solid majority he’ll be relegated to the garbage heap of the republicans. If not, he’ll just be tolerated. If mccain wins, look for an appt. for lieberman to be made.

Lieberman was the only reason the democrats had a majority in the senate and now they don’t won’t him. He’s not the only independent in Congress and mostly likely won’t be the last. You have been a bad boy and now you can’t play house with me. If the roles had been reversed, I doubt if he would have got the same treatment from the lib dems.

Dirty Joe STARTED selling out the Democrats during the recounts in Florida in the 2000 election.

He’s lowered himself consistently since then.

    Now?

BlueJay sings….He’s a real nowhere man, sitting in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for nobody.

The banner in the background says it all. Country first.

With ‘crats it’s party first, constituants second, screw the country unless a ‘crat is in charge.

The Repukes’ borrow-and-spend policies saddling this country with mammoth debt is clearly a ‘me-first-country-last’ policy. Bush epitomizes that in the White House and Palin did likewise in Alaska and Wasilla.

JFK once told a group of US Nobel Laureates that they were possibly the greatest gathering of talent in the White House since Jefferson dined there alone.

If all the Democrat Senators gathered together in one room, they would not equal the talent, brains and integrity of Joe Lieberman dining alone.
