If only we could forget Kline, Morrison

“As a general rule, everybody wants to kind of forget about the last couple years when it comes to the A.G. and D.A. offices.” — Christian Morgan, executive director of the Kansas Republican Party, in a Topeka Capital-Journal article drawing links between the old Phill Kline-Paul Morrison feud and the current district attorney races in Shawnee, Johnson and Sedgwick counties

Wrong, Morgan would love to put Kline into other positions had he not been so soundly defeated.

We should never forget what radical religious fundies try to do in our state…and Morgan is right up there.

You are so right momma. Keep those awful “fundies” in their place. After all we are so much better governed by the elites from Johnson County. Don’t question them. They are the wise and all knowing people who run this state like its their own little fiefdom. God or (insert whatever deity or non deity you worship) forbid that people of faith would step out of their pews and exercise their constitutional right to participate in our system of government. After all they are just a bunch of narrow minded bigots. Right momma? Much better that we be ruled by the Lords and Ladies whose wealth and position make them the rightful rulers over us serfs.
But be careful momma. There are “fundies” behind every Bush (pun intended) just waiting to jump out and quote scripture at you. Keep your guard up at all times, lest you succumb to their mind control techniques. Remember momma, the only good “fundie” is a dead “fundie”.

    Ha!!
And look how fast your boy Morrison dropped from grace. That’s about the shortest time in office anyone in Kansas has taken to self-destruct.
He makes a “fundie”, as you so incorrectly understand, look really good.

Chris, your own posts reveal you for what you are.

By the way, the self identified Christian Right does not have a lock on “people of faith”. When people who are self identified members of the Christian Right behave badly, and are called on it, it is not bashing “people of faith”.

As for the fall of Morrison, he has no one to blame but himself (and he deserved his fate). Just like the guy who lost to Morrison, and then lost again in JoCo.

But then, according to Chris, it seems that’s the fault of the “elites” of Johnson County, not Kline himself.

    Whatever.

The dimos should be so proud of Morrison. Now they have a dim running in Johnson county that knew about Morrisons affair but kept it a secret. Perhaps he should have told the dimo Morrison not to lie about it.

It is funny how the tables turn and dimos run.

The dimos could not praise Morrison enough. He was hailed across the state as a high profile dimo. He was the golden boy. The one to change this state.

Instead he proved the dimo creed that adultry is ok. And it is even better when you lie about.

Kinda like what McCain did? McCain threw in bigamy too. Of course you have a double standard, you’re like Paul but with a penis.

Morrison was not a fundie, he was far from it. For one thing he was a democrat and everyone knows it’s a cardinal sin for a democrat to become a fundie. What will they ever do?

I wonder what ‘measure of success’ Morrison used with Foulston to get the Tiller cases entered into court.

It appears the cases has standing, as Attorney General Six is proceeding with them. Evidently, Foulston’s objection to them were not legal, but turf pride and political ideology.

Foulston’s days are over, come next election.

    Sunflower,
If you’re going to use adultery as the test for impurity, the fundies flunk around more often than the rest of us. Check out their divorce rate!
As far as I’m concerned, adultery is an issue between a husband and wife, and is not fair game for gossipmongers.
However, hypocrisy is a matter of public concern. When people publicly condemn others for the sins they themselves are committing, re: Newt Gingrich, et al, then it becomes a matter of honesty, which some of us still foolishly expect from our elected officials.

I think PeeMom should be forced to sit down and have lunch with Phill Kline – just for giggles.

It would be fun to watch.

    Or better…

Maybe they should be forced to wrestle in a mud pit.

You know that old line about arguing with a politician is a lot like mud wrestling with a pig. Both parties get dirty, but the pig likes it.

Except, I’m not sure who is the pig.

    Bloggers, I knew Paul Morrison.
Paul Morrison was a friend of mine. (using that term loosely)
    I feel sorry for Paul.
But for the grace of God go I.
    (Keep me close, Lord)

Translation of KsGolfnut’s posts on this thread:

“Notice me, Political Mom. Notice meeeeeeeeeee! I am insuuuuuuulting yooooooooooou!”

    Correct response:

    Shallow (and apparently desperate)
    Troll

Which appears to have been exactly what happened on this thread.

    Well done Political Mom.

Aggie, Have I ever pretended to be any thing other than what I am? I am not ashamed of being a Christian or a conservative. To me the main stream Republicans are as big a problem as the looney left Democrats are.
As for the JOCO elites. They have longed feared Phill Kline, not for his crusade against abortion, but for his “Boy Scout” do the right thing beliefs and because of that he is a threat to them and their crooked ways. But just keep on hating Kline for his abortion stand. That plays right into the elites hands. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Keep your eyes on the show.
