Columnist Clarence Page wrote how Sarah Palin overshadowed John McCain at the GOP convention, much like the then-unknown Barack Obama did John Kerry in 2004. And he warned Democrats not to, in the words of President Bush, “misunderestimate” Palin.
“Sure, Palin’s experience at national politics is slim to none, and so is the public’s knowledge of her,” Page wrote. “That’s bound to cause headaches for her and McCain’s campaign down the road. But on this night, like Ronald Reagan, she showed how a good speech is more important than an encyclopedic knowledge of world affairs in winning public hearts and minds.”

Palin has rape victims pay for their rape kits
Throughout Palin’s term as mayor Wasilla was the only town in Alaska to punish rape victims by forcing them to pay for their own rape kits. Palin, who thinks rape victims should be punished by being forced to bear the rapist’s child, didn’t have a problem with additionally burdening the victim financially.
Eventually in 2000 the State Legislature stood up to Palin and made such practice illegal. For four years Palin sat by as the practice continued although she had the power to end such a practice.
So far you have Palin finding abortion not acceptable in case of rape or incest, rape victims paying for their own rape kits, and McCain thinks the job of pedophiles to rape children should be made easier. What is it with Republicans being cool with rape?

Palin’s husband has been subpoenaed in the Troopergate scandal.
The husband of GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin is among 13 witnesses subpoenaed by Alaska lawmakers, the Associated Press reports.
The subpoenas are “part of the investigation into whether the Republican vice presidential candidate abused her power in trying to get her former brother-in-law fired,” writes Gene Johnson for the AP.
Johnson quotes retired prosecutor Stephen Branchflower saying of Todd Palin: “He’s such a central figure. … I think one should be issued for him.”

A situation she probably inherited, and of no importance unless someone actually had to pay for a kit. Did anyone have too? This is thin soup unless you can somehow connect it to an actual political postion.
“
I’d also assumed she inherited the policy, but apparently not, according to the 1999 Wasilla annual report.

Not the most unbiased source around, but there is a link to the Wasilla website which contains the report.
Quoting the then-police chief of Wasilla:
“According to Fannon, the new law will cost the Wasilla Police Department approximately $5,000 to $14,000 a year to collect evidence for sexual assault cases.”

Palin’s advantage is the same as Obama’s little if any track record or knowledge of them so you get to fill in the blanks with what ever you want to. If you like them then what is filled in broader on them walking on water. If you do not then they are the end result of a mad ideology’s experiment. If you like to deal with facts then you see nothing but a handsome face and miss what the big deal is. If you like to deal only in the possibilities then they are the end all be all for you.
Palin’s promise is a world that is far closer to a totalitarian state, order and structure where your simplest decisions are made for you along with the hardest decisions too.
Obama’s promise is a better world where everyone is equal and the human race is striving for excellence.
Both promises are not very likely to happen and either way the masses do not want it to be realities in their hearts. On paper they both have the same selling points to sway the voters, a handsome face to look at.
I see the liberals are out early pushing their lies.
RAPE KIT MYTH
Just More Democratic Blogger Desperation
he latest myth touted on liberal blogs that’s bubbled its way into mainstream news headlines is the one where Sarah Palin ordered rape victims to pay for their own rape kits.
“Palin’s Town Used to Bill Victims for Rape Kits” was headline on a Thursday USA Today news story. Reporters Ken Dilanian and Matt Kelley used a 2000 quote from former Wasilla Police Chief to blame Palin for an outdated, now illegal policy she never supported.
“In the past, we’ve charged the cost of exams to victim’s insurance companies when possible,” former chief Charlie Fannon told the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman in 2000 as then-Democratic Governor Tony Knowles was signing legislation to make local police branches cover the costs of the kits.
“I just don’t want to see any more burden on the taxpayer,” Fannon said at the time, which was reprinted in the USA Today.
Fannon went on to say that he believed the criminal should be held responsible for the costs, which run from $5,000-$14,000 per year for all assault cases. USA Today did not reprint those quotes from the interview, though. “The forensic exam is just one part of the equation,” Fannon said at the time “I’d like to see the courts make these people pay restitution for these things.”
Liberal blogs like HuffingtonPost, DailyKos and Salon.com are using this interview the Frontier conducted with Fannon to accuse Palin, who was mayor of Wasilla from 1996-2002, of supporting making rape victims pay for their rape kits– a charge vehemently denied by her aides.
“It would appear that Sarah Palin has a problem with Rape,” blogger Steven R wrote on the DailyKos. “In addition to not supporting the availability of Abortion for victims of Rape, Mayor Sarah Palin, Maverick, Fiscal Conservative, also had citizens of Wasilla pick up the bill for their own forensics tests.”
Palin spokeswoman Maria Cornella told USA Today that Palin, “does not believe, nor has ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test.
“Gov. Palin’s position could not be more clear,” Cornella said. “To suggest otherwise is a deliberate misrepresentation of her commitment to supporting victims and bringing violent criminals to justice.”
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign advisers organized a conference call Tuesday with former Alaskan Governor Knowles and Ketchikan Mayor Bob Weinstein to do just that.
Knowles told reporters, “There was one town in Alaska that was charging victims for this, and that was Wasilla, and the — the original police chief had been fired by Mayor Palin, and her replacement for that police chief was protesting it, and even when I signed the bill.”
Weinstein added, “Wasilla under Sarah Palin’s administration chose to charge sexual assault victims for the forensic kits, and that’s the choice they made. They easily could have made the other choice.”
Palin appointed Fannon as police chief in 1997. His predecessor was fired by Palin over his willingness to limit the town’s bar operating hours. Fannon was one of three candidates considered for the job and the City Council confirmed him in a 5-0 vote.
Palin later tangled with Fannon when he ran for Wasilla’s mayoral office during her gubernatorial race. Fannon created campaign ads containing a false endorsement from Palin. Palin did not support Fannon for mayor. She supported his rival, Curt Menard.

The difference, and Obama’s clear advantage is he’s spent nearly two years Obama vetted, interviewed, attacked, debated, questioned, cross-examined, analyzed, reviewed, VOTED for (and against), second-guessed, analyzed, criticized, praised, panned, denigrated, second-guessed, inspected, detected and, ultimately, elected.
If the Moose-Dresser is, in fact, the second-best person on the planet to lead the Free World after John S (for Senile) McCain the Third (for Shrub’s 3rd term), we have a right to figure out why.
So far she hasn’t given us a clue.
As if she doesn’t have one.

“I see the liberals are out early pushing their lies.”
Good morning Nathaniel,
Lies are all the liberals have, you know that. Especially the ones on this blog.
Their positions are so weak and fallacious they must lie to support them or even comment.
Sarah’s ‘got um shaking’ and the more they shake the more they lie.
I think it’s hilarious.
But Monkeyhawk if that is true then why oh why is it still being said that people just do not know enough about Obama?
Sure you can read what he said and hear what he said. You can go back and see how he voted on issues and listen to those with whom he served.
But that is not enough to make an informed decision!
We have to look at what can not be seen to do that.
Check our gut reactions to the over-all feel of a person. Do we like their hair? How well is they dressed? Do they drink the right kind of coffee?
Do they prefer Pepsi or Coke? How often did they mention God in a speech and how often did they not mention God? That is the important issue of this and all elections.
If this country was suddenly attacked by a herd of Moose who would be better at defending it? No Obama would be the poorest choice in that issue! Palin would save us money, she might actually start not just charging Rape victims for the rape kit but the mileage that is accrued by the patrol cars answering the call of a rape. I like that as a fiscal conservative, since without investigating the rape we could not know whom the rapist is. Some one would have to pay for the expense of investigating and unless it is the Government whom is doing the raping. Why should the people pay? They are not the ones whom reported the rape.
Yes I am being a male member in jesting!

Are all you CONs so clueless you don’t know who you’re attacking? Like how John S (for Senile) McCain the Third (for Shrub’s 3rd term) doesn’t know Suni from Shi’ite.
Well I’m glad to see Wasilla’s former policy of charging rape victims for their own exams being repeatedly mentioned.
I think most people are intelligent enough to read the original source material, rather than relying on someone’s interpretation.
If John McCain will lie, bold-faced and bald-headed,outright lie about his running mate being a pig and other trivia, he’d lie about his rationale to start a war and occupy a foreign country; he would lie about his fiscal conservatism and spend this country even further into debt than the Bush-Cheney Liars Club. McCain is NOT McSame; he’s McWorse. He’s unfit to serve.

Sarah and Todd Palin like to name their children with sports/Alaskan theme names.
Track, who was born in Track and Field season.
Bristol, after Bristol Bay.
Willow, after the town north of Wasilla, or the Willow Ptarmigan (Alaska State Bird).
Piper Indy, after the Piper Cub airplane, and the Polaris Indy snowmachine (snowmobile for you ‘outsiders’). And an interesting quote from Palin has her saying Indy could also refer to “Independence”…. Hmmm.
Trig Paxson, after the town of Paxson, north of Wasilla.

Dueling Palin Rallies in Anchorage.
OK folks, it’s heating up here in Anchorage. Get ready for dueling rallies!
Before she heads out of state to resume campaigning with John McCain, Sarah Palin will attend a rally in her honor Saturday morning at the new Dena’ina Convention Center in Downtown Anchorage. The doors open at 7:30am, and the rally begins at 9:30. We were uncertain if a rally would be scheduled, but they made the announcement late this morning.
Two and a half hours later, at noon tomorrow, the group “Alaska Women Reject Palin” will be meeting at the corner of 36th Ave. and Denali St. to hold a sidewalk protest with signs. This is a non-partisan rally that encourages creative signs that stick to policy rather than partisanship.
Seems simple enough. Two rallies – two schools of thought. However, Anchorage conservative radio talk show host Eddie Burke has stirred the pot. He blasted the organizers of the second rally during his talk show today on KBYR, calling them ….sit down…. “a bunch of socialist baby-killing maggots.” No, I’m not kidding and I wish I were. Welcome to the dark side of Anchorage that makes sane, thinking people cringe. Burke also announced the particulars of the rally…so there may be some unwanted guests.
The media, no doubt, will be all over the first rally, and hopefully some will cover the other one as well. In any case, I’m planning to be at both, and will report back with the un-mediatized version of the events.
I think a big turnout at the “AK Women Reject Palin” rally could be a powerful statement. Men and kids are also welcomed.
It could be an interesting day…

It might be interesting to see how moderate Kansas Republicans react to Palin. As a lifelong resident of this stellar state, I’m not convinced that moderates will be overly impressed with how the initially catchy Bridge-to-Nowhere narrative is playing out. Nor will this crowd be much in support of the Alaskan governor’s busybody streak as revealed by the book banning story. In my experience, Republican moderates enjoy a broad range of reading material, and they want a lot of freedom in this area. They won’t like it much if a totalitarian mindset is trying to tell them what to do.
Taken in all, Palin’s emerging record could be just the sort of thing to remind Republican moderates why they voted for Sebelius a couple of times: down the middle beats right-wing extremism any old day of the week.
Will Kansas moderates be persuaded that Palin knows something about foreign policy simply because of Alaska’s proximity to Russia? This is quite a leap of faith requiring a level of salesmanship that even Palin cannot muster. If she can sell sand in the Sahara, maybe it flies, but unscripted with Gibson, Palin got snagged a few times.
Kansas moderates will have to ask themselves if the importance of voting Republican trumps the risk of putting a right-wing extremist and an utter foreign policy novice one step away from the presidency when the guy at the top of the ticket is 72 years old.
Say Linda, shall we now call you Halter Grasshopper Palin?
Hey, I checked it out and my name would be: Stick Freedom Palin!!!. Does that mean I would try to hammer my own mom? Perspiring minds want to know.

Actually, this makes great sense.
Group Health Insurance, Individual Health Insurance, or Medicaid should be billed, first, in such instances.
Private and government insurance can NOT be billed for services that are “free” to other people.
You are an idiot.
And a hateful idiot at that!
Nobody was denied a rape kit, were they?
And, if anyone was billed for a rape kit, and could not pay the bill, and had no insurance, so what? The hospital would, eventually, write it off.
What books does Sarah Palin want removed from our libraries?

Obama’s world is a Marxist statist totalitarian system.

REAL women DON’T wear liptstick.
This whole Palin, Palin, Palin business serves 3 purposes for the Press.
1. Distracts everyone from asking these questions about Obama that are being asked of Palin.
2. Directly attacks conservative values.
3. Highlights the need for Obama to make a Change. The Press Hopes that Obama dumps Biden and picks Heelary.

They don’t even bathe or shave!

Obama’s foreign policy?
Obama endorsed Odinga, in Kenya.
Odinga lost.
Odinga’s followers then murdered over 1.500 people, burned Christian churches, while leaving mosques untouched, and gang raped members of the opposition party, in front of their families.

” I’m sooo soorry foor yoour paaain.
What will yoou be naaming the baaby.”
BJ
You liar.
No books were ever banned by Palin, ever.
However, Obama DID try to force a radio show off the air!
Franklin,
Quoting former Governor Tony Knowles, who said it far more succinctly than I could:
“We would never bill the victim of a burglary for fingerprinting and photographing the crime scene, or for the cost of gathering other evidence, Knowles said. Nor should we bill rape victims just because the crime scene happens to be their bodies.”
How many States are there Obama?
ks independent
Think moron, think.
How can you call fingerprints a “medical” expense?
How can you call burglary photographs a “medical” expense?
Clearly, you can’t.
However, if private or government medical insurance can be billed, for a rape kit, that is what SHOULD happen!
Well look at this, the Obama campaign attacks McCain for not using the computer more.

McCain’s injuries make it difficult for McCain to use anything other than a computer mouse.
“No books were ever banned by Palin, ever.”
This is true ONLY because a courageous librarian and the community stood up to Sarah Palin.
It is a criminal investigation, involving a particularly heinous crime. This isn’t an appendectomy we’re talking about.
Fortunately, as of 2005, the practice of charging victims (or their insurance companies) is illegal throughout the U.S.
If you’re unfamiliar with the horrible trauma of rape, I suggest you educate yourself, instead of making yourself look silly by hurling grade school level invective.
BJ still blowing hard this morning I see. Do you ever rest? Maybe that is your problem because every attack you have floated this week has no substance. As in they are false, lies, leftist liberal made up krap. Must be hard to be a liberal today.
A challenge for you: For the rest of the day instead of asking your insane questions with innuendo only post those things you can prove. That will sure cut down the clutter on the blog.
National Review writer Stanley Kurtz put himself into the headlines earlier this month by pushing the guilt-by-association link between Bill Ayers and Barack Obama because they both worked on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge to improve public schools. When Kurtz went to look at the Annenberg files at the University of Illinois at Chicago, librarians temporarily blocked access out of concerns about whether they had the proper permission to open them to the public. UIC quickly changed their dumb decision, and this week Kurtz went to read the Annenberg papers. Previously, Kurtz had speculated that “access to the CAC records promises to provide a treasure trove of documentary evidence.”
And what did he find? Absolutely nothing. Kurtz’s great conclusion: Ayers and Obama went to the same meetings! And this brilliant attack by Kurtz: Obama is “comfortable working with people” on the left. Well, that’s no surprise, since he’s also comfortable working with people on the far right.
But although Kurtz smears failed for lack of even a sliver of any evidence, he and the far right have come up with another line of attack.
Today, Rush Limbaugh claimed Kurtz was a victim of repression by the Obama campaign. Why? Because Obama’s campaign sent out an email urging people to call into Milt Rosenberg’s radio show where Kurtz appeared last night. Limbaugh claimed, “Obama does not want people to know how close he is to Bill Ayers.” According to Limbaugh, asking people to call into a radio show to criticize Kurtz’s lies was a “brutal sleaze and smear tactic.”
Unlike Limbaugh, I listened to Kurtz on Rosenberg’s show. More than half the show was devoted to Kurtz’s laughable attacks on Obama (in one case, Kurtz started reading from an innocuous book on global justice that he admitted Obama probably never read, but which he linked to Obama because Obama knows the man who runs the foundation that produced the book). There were a couple of people just reading from the Obama campaign email, but plenty of anti-Obama people had the chance to call and were apparently given preferential treatment to get on the air (Rosenberg even called back notorious Obama critic Steve Diamond because his line was bad). So Limbaugh was lying about an “effort made to clog up the phone lines.”
Amazingly, Kurtz and Rosenberg played the same victimization card as Limbaugh. During the show, Kurtz accused the Obama campaign of “stifling reasonable debate and free inquiry” by sending out an email encouraging people to call in to the show and express themselves. He claimed, “this is an effort to silence me illegitimately.” And you agreed: “It sure has that ring to my ears.”
Well, I got the email, and it says nothing about stifling debate. Here’s what the email says:
In the next few hours, we have a crucial opportunity to fight one of the most cynical and offensive smears ever launched against Barack.
Tonight, WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears. He’s currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers. Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse. Call into the “Extension 720″ show with Milt Rosenberg at (312) 591-7200 (Show airs from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. tonight) Then report back on your call at http://my.barackobama.com/WGNstandards Kurtz has been using his absurd TV appearances in an awkward and dishonest attempt to play the terrorism card. His current ploy is to embellish the relationship between Barack and Ayers. Just last night on Fox News, Kurtz drastically exaggerated Barack’s connection with Ayers by claiming Ayers had recruited Barack to the board of the Annenberg Challenge. That is completely false and has been disproved in numerous press accounts. It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves. At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz’s lies. Kurtz is scheduled to appear from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Chicago market. Calling will only take a minute, and it will make a huge difference if we nip this smear in the bud. Confront Kurtz tonight before this goes any further:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-k-wilson/stanley-kurtz-and-the-ant_b_122155.html
=======================================================
In other words, Kurtz’s claim is completely baseless. There is NO terrorist connection between Obama and Ayers, other than what Kurtz makes up in his Neo-Con mini-mind.
To proclaim there is, in the face of evidence to the contrary, is pure lying.
Obama has every right to slam WGN for allowing some moron to perpetuate the lies. And to allow one of his people on the show for rebuttal would just give credence to right-wing b**l s**t.
So ksindependent are you saying that until 2005 all states billed the victims insurance for the rape kits? Well this would make maggot look even sillier. The trauma of rape is indeed very real. On that we agree.
BJ
BS
There was NO “community protest” BECAUSE no books were ever banned.

If what I post is untrue? Feel free to prove it.
BlueJay,
You are correct, as has been amply documented by every major media outlet. They must all be part of that “liberal media conspiracy” or whatever.
Seriously, the degree to which some seem out of touch with reality is almost scary. First-hand information from multiple sources, checked repeatedly by many across the political spectrum, and some seem unable to grasp it.
Oh well. I’m out of here for now.
Checked out my Palin name. Axe Diesel Palin. Why does that make me want to drag my knuckles on the ground?
JM
You are wrong, on many counts.
First, Obama and Ayers worked on more than one “foundation” together.
Next, Ayers was actually the BOSS of Obama, appointing Obama to run one of those liberal “foundations”.
Next, Obama launched his political career in the home of terrorists William Ayers and Dohrn.
Next, Ayers wrote a book about his terrorist past, called “fugitive days” and promoted that book, standing on an American flag.
Next, Obama was WORKING with Ayers, at the time Ayers was promoting his book, and bragging about all of his bombings.
Next, some of the organizations that Ayers and Obama contributed to have terrorist links.
The facts are out there and will be many times posted again Franklin.
Sarah Palin asked the librarian if she had a problem with removing books from the library.
The librarian did indeed have a problem with it and said so.
Sarah Palin fired the librarian.
That there is no known LIST of books is even more troubling. DID Sarah Palin want literary veto for ALL incoming material to the library?
“On Wednesday evening, Obama’s campaign urged supporters to call the radio station to complain.
“Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse,” the note said.
“It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves,” the note continued. “At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz’s lies.”
Zack Christenson, executive producer of “Extension 720 with Milt Rosenburg,” said the response was strong.
“I would say this is the biggest response we’ve ever got from a campaign or a candidate,” he said. “This is really unprecedented with the show, the way that people are flooding the calls and our email boxes.”
Christenson said the Obama campaign was asked to have someone appear on the show and declined the request.”
The Obama campaign not only tried to tie up phone lines, to the radio show, but also went to the broadcast company, directly to try to keep Kurtz off the air!

okobsever,
I’m glad I saw this before I jumped out of here. No, not all states billed the victims of rape for the exams, but it did happen elsewhere. In fairness, although rare, it did happen in other states.
The 2002 Alaska law outlawing it was aimed at Wasilla, but I don’t know if the federal law was aimed at any particular location. It might be worth checking!

What a steaming crock! Not knowing how to use a computer in this day and age is the same as being illiterate.
Along with being too old, add being illiterate to the reasons for McCain not being qualified to be president.
So far, the only qualifications McCain seems to have for being president are being a POW and being able to wrap himself in a flag.

If you really want to know more about the Ayers/Obama connection go to the link above and start reading. Several interesting facts with dates to back them up. Written by a lawyer it shows the Chicago Political scene in depth.
This is only if you have an enquiring mind and are not content to only listen to and read what the MSM want you to know.
“a bunch of socialist baby-killing maggots.” is how a local Anchorage radio station described the probably very small gaggle of anti Palin women.
Ha…pretty accurate I imagine, but he forgot to mention ‘Ugly as a Jackass’s Behind’ and just as crude.
“Whether McCain’s physical limitations are part of what is keeping him from using computers remains to be seen, but if so, there are a lot of assistive devices out there for using computers for people who have injuries or disabilities: certain types of mice, voice activation software, special keyboards, keyboard usage training, etc. Still, training to use those kinds of devices can take time – something presidential candidates do not have at their disposal. With less than two months left in the campaign, there’s definitely not enough time for a self-proclaimed computer illiterate to get up to snuff.”
Perhaps if John McCain DID use a computer?
He would have come to know Sarah Palin as well as computer literate people are coming to know her.
I have to agree with X. Though I remind that we must allow that some people do not have access to the information age through no fault of their own.
But John McCain can certainly afford a computer and internet access. One must conclude that he is WILLFULLY illiterate.
Very consistent in a party comfortable with banning books.
XXX

“JR, the women you pick up don’t wear lipstick do they?
They don’t even bathe or shave!”
Good one Max.
I might add ‘or brush their teeth, or even use toilet paper’.
Anyone with any more refinement than that would never be around him.
BJ do you have a problem with older people?
As for disproving your lies. I don’t have 24 hours a day to devote to blogging and since nothing you post is accurate I would be busy constantly disproving them.
Do your own research and only post those things you can back up. Then none of us cons could prove you wrong if you have a verified source.
Bill Clinton RARELY uses the computer:
“Sure, but why would he? Bill Clinton sent two emails during his entire presidency and often admitted he didn’t know squat about the internet.
One reader says “Steven Hawking knows how to use a computer!” Yes, because if he didn’t he couldn’t do his job or communicate. McCain, like Clinton, didn’t have that problem”
“Odinga’s followers then murdered over 1.500 people, burned Christian churches, while leaving mosques untouched, and gang raped members of the opposition party, in front of their families.” — the wefu
Won’t stick. Try throwing different mud against the wall.
BJ has a problem with people, period.
BJ I have one question for you about VP choices. Obama the messiah is computer litterate. How then did he end up with ‘Foot in Mouth Daily’ Biden? There was plenty out on the internet that would have shown him to be a poor choice.
Palin is a member of the assemblies of god, that is, was. The people murdered were murdered inside churches of the assemblies. Therefor, Palin murdered Odinga’s followers. Well I’m amused, but not enough to waste any more time.
Anyone know the difference between boxlicker and Church Lady?
Um.. lipstick?
“As for disproving your lies. I don’t have 24 hours a day to devote to blogging and since nothing you post is accurate I would be busy constantly disproving them.” — the wefu
But you do have 20, don’t you? The rest of us need more sleep.
“BJ do you have a problem with older people?”
Not at all.
Only with bitter old women like you to whom calling names and yelling “Liar!” substitutes for reasoned argument.
If you can refute what I post do so.

Bill Clinton admitted to being computer illiterate.
By the way, the McCain camp is running circles around Obama, with the You Tube ads.

How do we KNOW what is “required” of a Commander in Chief?
Bill Clinton did not need to use the computer.
George W. Bush does not use the computer much, either.
McCain DOES use the computer, McCain just does not find email very useful to him, and McCain’s disabilities make email hard for him to use.
The story is evolving.
It SEEMS that Palin’s church and perhaps by extension Palin, wanted at least 3 books removed from bookstores and the local library.
I can see no other reason why Palin would even ASK about removing books from the library.
Two of these books seem to be “Pastor, I’m Gay” and “Go Ask Alice”
Perhaps our conservative “friends” would like to opine as to these books?
I find nothing about them that is objectionable. Though I am aware that just the TITLE “Pastor I’m Gay” would seem to get the right firing up their torches.

“By the way, the McCain camp is running circles around Obama, with the You Tube ads.”
Those same ads being based on lies and distortions. But isn’t that McCains way: Lies and distortions?
“Sarah Palin fired the librarian.”
There’s another lie from BJ.
Can you even tell the truth BJ.
Palin ask the librarian what she thought, or would she be willing to remove some books with bad language, she NEVER told her to. And this happened before Palin was even sworn in as mayor.
The librarian quit of her own choosing and more than three years later. Unrelated.

See BJ this is a prime example of your posts. No substance, no proof, already disproved many times and you float it out there so your little sheeple friends can send it on to other sheeple. This is the libs way of campaigning – if you tell a lie enough times something will stick in the mind of the brainless.
So how do I disprove the ramblings of your mind. An endless job as I stated. Even when proven wrong you just keep on posting. Even when you know it is a lie you just keep on posting. Oh well.
How are you coming on the school bus story? Just another of your ’stories’ with no basis. How many of those have you started since Palins nomination as VP?

Ya know Franklin is getting jumpy when he starts in with the “would you?”.
“Palin ask the librarian what she thought, or would she be willing to remove some books with bad language,”
That’s news to me and to this forum Boxlock.
I don’t think Sarah Palin has given a reason WHY she would ask about removing books from the library.
Do you have a link?
Well there you go again okobserver.
You can call me a liar. But you don’t back it up.
You read this forum regularly and you have seen the back up for what I post. SO you want to keep me forever busy rehashing it instead of proving your own argument.
Most of us have a Borders, a Barnes and Noble, or computer access.
It is perfectly appropriate for a Mayor to be concerned about what is on the shelves, since taxpayer dollars are involved.
This is a dumb story.
Palin did NOT “ban” a single book.
Nor did she ever try to “ban” any books.
Palin simply did her job.
How many executive positions are available out there that don’t require computer experience? What do you suppose happens to your resume when the recruiter finds out that you don’t know how to use a computer?
John McCain wants to be the top executive.
He doesn’t know how to use a computer.
John McCain doesn’t meet even the basic requirement to be in an executive position.
“Palin simply did her job.”
I must admit I do not have a link to the specific mayoral duties of Wasilla Alaska.
I am inclined to doubt that they include…
Ask librarian if she has a problem with removing books from the library should it become necessary. Threaten librarian with termination if she resists.
Also likely absent would be a provision to make sure all city officials are on board with given mayors personal agenda on pain of termination.
But Sarah Palin maybe had her own ideas as to executive power.

Sliming Palin
September 8, 2008
False Internet claims and rumors fly about McCain’s running mate.
“She did not demand that books be banned from the Wasilla library. Some of the books on a widely circulated list were not even in print at the time. The librarian has said Palin asked a “What if?” question, but the librarian continued in her job through most of Palin’s first term.”
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/sliming_palin.html
She wanted to know if books would be pulled.
She did NOT tell her too.
“Were any books censored banned? June Pinell-Stephens, chairwoman of the Alaska Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee since 1984, checked her files Wednesday and came up empty-handed.
Pinell-Stephens also had no record of any phone conversations with Emmons about the issue back then. Emmons was president of the Alaska Library Association at the time.Books may not have been pulled from library shelves, but there were other repercussions for Emmons.
Four days before the exchange at the City Council, Emmons got a letter from Palin asking for her resignation. Similar letters went to police chief Irl Stambaugh, public works director Jack Felton and finance director Duane Dvorak. John Cooper, a fifth director, resigned after Palin eliminated his job overseeing the city museum.
Palin told the Daily News back then the letters were just a test of loyalty as she took on the mayor’s job, which she’d won from three-term mayor John Stein in a hard-fought election. Stein had hired many of the department heads. Both Emmons and Stambaugh had publicly supported him against Palin.
Emmons survived the loyalty test and a second one a few months later. She resigned in August 1999, two months before Palin was voted in for a second mayoral term.”

And yet this paper refuses to print anything negative about osama of the muslim faith.
Very welcome. I thought it was a good story, which also hopefully put to rest that “list of books” running around the internet.
You’re parsing Boxlock.
The point is that Sarah Palin asked about removing books from the library. Who does that? Why?
That’s what is left to be answered.
Actually, your post only raises MORE questions as to Palin.
“Palin told the Daily News back then the letters were just a test of loyalty as she took on the mayor’s job”
Well isn’t THAT the problem in government today? Tests of party or personal loyalty trump competency?
Palin’s questions were rhetorical questions, no books were ever banned, and the mayor’s question was about ‘policy’ of the library and the librarian.
All that from the youtube link given by ksindependent.
Well, I guess that settles that, nothing inappropriate took place….except in the diseased minds of those trying to fallaciously destroy someone they don’t like.
That’s you BJ.
Obama could NEVER qualify for a top secret security clearance, with the company Obama keeps.

‘Energetically Wrong‘
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/energetically_wrong.html
“Summary
Palin claims Alaska “produces nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy.” That’s not true.
Alaska did produce 14 percent of all the oil from U.S. wells last year, but that’s a far cry from all the “energy” produced in the U.S.
Alaska’s share of domestic energy production was 3.5 percent, according to the official figures kept by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
And if by “supply” Palin meant all the energy consumed in the U.S., and not just produced here, then Alaska’s production accounted for only 2.4 percent.”
The fact that Sarah Palin asked a librarian about removing books from a library has been established.
What Sarah Palin has not explained is why she would even ASK such a question.
I think we all should be just as concerned about the side story here.
The “loyalty test” bit?
A leader who employs loyalty test may well be a leader who does not wish to hear opinions other than their own.
See george bush and Colin Powell re Iraq.
We are supposed to be electing a representative leader, not coronating a Royal.

=========================================================
Really? All I’ve read has been internet BS, perpetrated by right-0wing extremists with basically no proof whatsoever.
How about your boy:
Photo catches McCain celebrating birthday with indicted con man.
Although John McCain has made condemning the influence of lobbyists in Washington one of his signature issues, his own campaign is largely run by high-powered lobbyists, including his campaign manager, Rick Davis.
The connection with Davis appears to be behind McCain’s having spent his 70th birthday partying on the yacht of Italian conman Raffaello Follieri — who hired Davis’s business partner to lobby for him just a few months later — along with Follieri’s then-girlfriend, actress Anne Hathaway. The date was Aug. 29, 2006 and the place was Montenegro, where McCain had traveled with a delegation of US senators to celebrate that nation’s independence.
Although the meeting has been reported previously, the Nation has now confirmed it with a photo of John McCain preparing to board Follieri’s yacht. Rachel Maddow offered an exclusive preview of the photograph on her new MSNBC program on Wednesday, noting that it “appears to undercut the well-crafted, focus group-tested image of John McCain being pushed on the American people.”
Follieri, who was arrested in April for allegedly passing a bad check, has just pleaded guilty to eight counts of wire fraud and five counts of money-laundering resulting from a scheme in which he obtained millions of dollars in investments by claiming to have connections in the Vatican.

Why thank you linda. I endeavor to resemble that remark.

Pretty grumpy, foul mouthed bunch huh?
I hereby consider this lot reflective of Sarah Palin herself.
BlueJay, You know something too many forget — a person has to be a friend to have a friend.
Palin. I am so bored with the subject and it really does keep all of us from seeing the much more important subject — John McCain who is the candidate for POTUS. Palin is being used in hopes McCain can finally achieve the long-wanted prize. If she gets him that prize we won’t hear much from or about her during his term (barring tragedy). He is not going to share the authority his prize will give him! If she takes the opportunity to learn she may have a bright future in the Republican Party. That is IF she can keep the slime and failure his presidency is sure to be washed off effectively.
The issue we are ignoring is that John McCain is a neocon of the worst sort (how many personal wars will he need of his very own?), he has no economic policies other than continuing those of bush, he has displayed poor judgment at every turn, is an impulsive hothead, is using the exact people currently running things in his push to REFORM. Doesn’t take too much to see the contradiction in that!
From the link cosmos shared:
“While watching the Sarah Palin interview with Charlie Gibson … and the coverage of the Palin phenomenon in general, I’ve gotten the scary feeling, for the first time in my life, that dimwittedness is not just on the march in the U.S., but that it might actually prevail.”

“It IS possible to have friends who are crooks, and not know that those people are crooks.”
So you’re saying McSame’s birthday party was really nothing, even though he had to know yacht boy was under indictment? And, three months later, yacht boy hired McSame’s handlers management firm? Fairly stupid, don’t you think? Do all people running for POTUS think the same way?
I hope that the American public is smarter than to listen to McCain’s and Palin’s ‘distrortions of truths’ and ‘mud-slinging’. The 2 of them remind me of little kids saying ‘Your Mama’, and if anything, it serves as amusement. Hillary uncovered anything that there was to uncover about Obama in the Primary.
The speech Palin gave at the Republican Convention was written for her, using an old sales trick of having people identify and associate themselves with Palin as being the same person, mind, and spirit. Then came the ‘fear’.. like the fire and brimstone preachers use to ’save’ people.. hey.. it worked for G.W., and people were stupid enough to fall for it the last 2 times.. let’s try it again! hehe
McCain thought he would grab Hillary’s voters because a woman is on the ticket. Believe me, she is nothing like Hillary! The mud-slinging that she had done to Hillary prior to being placed on the Republican ticket lost her points there.
I am voting for the candidate that will best serve THE PEOPLE, not the candidates that will best serve the corporations. This election is not about what people’s personal hang-ups are.. and I think it shows ignorance for a person to be for or against a candidate based on race or gender.
I challenge anyone who reads this post to find and read The Declaration of Independence, The Gettysburg Address, and The American Constitution. America needs to get back to the roots of which our country was founded. I think you will be amazed at the difference of how government was meant to be, and what it is now.

Kandi,
I saw Junior (BJ) at the last WEblog meetup. He’s rather feminine looking and acting. And he has this problem with drooling/spitting while he talks.
If you ever meet him, bring along a towel.
————————
Always suspected the boy was a spitter and a rather doltish Progressive Liberal hermaphrodite with oedipal latency.
And I can offer visual confirmation, Regular, that you are just as you come off here.
A social misfit who so rarely sees the light of day that you have decided that dress and personal hygiene are time wasted when you could be threatening posters, the blog itself, or people driving on Kellogg.
I always wonder about the beliefs of people not fully explored.
Sarah Palin is against a woman’s right to choose even in cases of rape.
Now that is extreme enough that most people stop right there and back away. SOME will comfort themselves in saying that, well that may be her belief, but she would never enforce it. MOST others will I hope consider further.
Perhaps a supporter for Sarah Palin would like to step up and speak for her here?
I am wondering. IF you take the position that a pregnancy as a result of rape MUST be carried to term, as Sarah Palin does?
How do you enforce that?
BlueJay,
And you made all those judgements as you drove b,y like the coward you are in your truck, instead of facing Regular like a normal person would.
Because if you had stopped, I am sure that Regular would have just as many insults for the way you look as well.

“An all-around, good, kind-hearted American man I have enjoyed getting to know!”
ROFLMAO
No Franklin RIGHT Obama is promising quite a bit that will not happen. Best of all worlds when there can not be such a thing. Political lying or not it will not happen because of it is against the base human nature.
It is the same ole thing that every Politician has promised since the two cars in every garage and a chicken in every pot! Marxist? In a way yes since the Communist stated their were the best intention for the people.
They could not deliver and neither can Obama and neither can McCain with his Promises too.
And another point of order, “the hospitals will write it off”. How much is an aspirin in the Hospital? Write off is another way to say you will pay for those whom can not or will not pay. For the price the hospitals charge for one aspirin you could buy enough bottles of aspirin to last for a year! I find it funny when I hear such thing and other then you saying it. The last person I heard say such a thing was a McCain spokesman in answer to the question of the uninsured. “Those without insurance can go to any hospital and get medical care for free”. Free my butt! It is hardly the answer anyone whom is fiscally sound would say. Of course lately I have had a hard time finding a fiscally sound Republican! We need more like Tom Coburn of Okla and Ron Paul of TX. I also find it ironic that Obama seems more fiscally sound than McCain does.

I’ll add two questions to the list:
Explain why Palin has made the false claims, multiple times, that,
1) only a 2,000-acre “plot” or “swath” would be opened to exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
2) she told Congress, “thanks, but no thanks” to an earmark she had earlier supported, but was eliminated 13 MONTHS before she took office. You cannot say “thanks, but no thanks” to an offer that does not exist.
Is Palin grossly misinformed about the Arctic Refuge? Does she believe that the “Bridge to Nowhere” earmark still existed, when it did NOT?
Or. . . is Sarah Palin just a liar?

. . . and Franklin, Max, Regular and Kandisue are all apostles of truth, justice and the American way? You gotta be kidding me. Both sides have their a**holes, me being one of them, and damn proud of it:-)
I see the Republicans just deny the fact that under Palin’s watch the police continued to charge rape victims for rape kits. Palin touted that a mayor is being like a community organizer (McCain praises community organizers, I wonder why Palin hates them?) but a mayor has to make decisions.
So where was Palin’s decision for the four years she sat on the issue while the state government worked on the issue? She could have issued an order to require the police to provide the kits for free. But she did nothing. I suppose this is her idea of standing up to the Republicans by opposing their efforts to reduce victimization of women hurt by rape.
Perhaps Palin just hates women? After all, she fired the Public Safety Commissioner who was doing a great job and replaced him with a guy with sex crimes on his record. Lovely.
http://community.adn.com/adn/node/131022
Well it’s not just Palin. McCain wants to punish rape victims as well. McCain voted against Senator Biden’s bill which would require free rape kits.
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/09/mccain-voted-against-biden-law.html
You might remember Biden, he’s the anti-rape candidate for VP.

Or. . . could it be that your information is from a liberal source? In other words probably nothing but lies.
Now since I have responded to you please tell me why you would want a man with a muslim name and a muslim family who even says “MY MUSLIM FAITH” for a President?
Or is your home base in Iran? Saudi? Syria?
“In Office, Palin Hired Friends and Hit Critics
Good info. there, sounds like she’s a gobn herself, just set up neo-gobn.
“So when there was a vacancy at the top of the State Division of Agriculture, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as one of her qualifications for running the roughly $2 million agency.”
Ms. Havemeister was one of at least five schoolmates Ms. Palin hired, often at salaries far exceeding their private sector wages.
I bet she had someone in mind for the librarian’s job also (probably a church member), but it didn’t pan out.
The director of ag. sounds about as qualified as brownie was for his job.
Question for the cons: since it’s been factually established that the police chief that Palin hired was charging victims for rape kits (and publicly protested the bill to stop the practice!), shouldn’t the mayor of the city bear some responsibility?
or does the buck stop with the city administrator whose position was creadted by the city council (since they didn’t think Ms. Palin had the management skills to handle the job herself)?
Also from Linda’s link;
““I said, ‘You know, Sarah, within 10 years you could be governor,’ ” Ms. Chase recalled. “She replied, ‘I want to be president.’ ”
When Gibson stated during his ‘interview’ that sounded like hubris, that she knew she was ready to be v.p., he didn’t even know the half of it.
What kind of person, thinks a communication degree is any kind of qualification to be president, even if that person is the mayor of a pit stop community?
All together now, in a high-pitched nasal whine, repeat after me:
In what respect, Charley?
“shouldn’t the mayor of the city bear some responsibility?”
Nope, ya dope.
If it is the city administrator’s job to make those decisions, then it is just that, and would be ‘Monday Morning Quarterbacking’ for the mayor to second guess the administrator all the time.
Also, if you are injured in an accident of some type and require medical attention of any kind even if totally the fault of someone else, or a victim of a crime and are injured at the hand of someone else, you still must pay for your medical attention.
If a victim has medical insurance it would be mismanagement of public funds not to have the individual file for that.
Again from the nyt link:
“In 1997, Ms. Palin fired the longtime city attorney, Richard Deuser, after he issued the stop-work order on a home being built by Don Showers, another of her campaign supporters”
Sounds like she was unfit even for her mayorship, and should be investigated on multiple fronts.
Also from Linda’s link;
““I said, ‘You know, Sarah, within 10 years you could be governor,’ ” Ms. Chase recalled. “She replied, ‘I want to be president.’ ”

Well I’ll vote for her. The US would be much safer with her than obama of the muslim faith.
“What do we do when it becomes starkly clear that at least 100 million people all over this planet believe, deeply and as a basic tenet of their devout religion, that all who disagree with them are infidels – and must either be converted, subjugated or put to death. And that their God will handsomely reward any and all who die, accomplishing this “conversion” of the world’s population to their religion?” Pat Boone

Duh, bribe the whole state’s population with another $1200 check every year, and you would to.
So The Buck Stops Over There. Don’t take any interest in what the police chief is doing, even when you’re the top elected official, and he was hired by you personally. Got it. What leadership!
Also, if you are injured in an accident of some type and require medical attention of any kind even if totally the fault of someone else, or a victim of a crime and are injured at the hand of someone else, you still must pay for your medical attention.

None of which has any sane relevance whatsoever. You must be off your meds.
I guess you just felt like about complaining about rape victims who might, in some instances, be treated by medical personnel without making a payment first. None of which, obviously, has anything at all to do with rape kits.
You’re an extremely creepy person, Boxlock.

Amzaing,
The Democrats have spent the last 60 years trying to bribe the people with government handouts and yet they don’t have that kind of popularity.
I wonder what the difference is?
I think the weblog could easily do a thread on this article about Palin.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/14/us/politics/14palin.html?pagewanted=1&hp
Right on cue, Nathan proves my point.
“The Democrats have spent the last 60 years trying to bribe the people with government handouts”
Nathan I am positive that in your world, the government serving its people in any capacity at all constitutes a “handout”.
The NYT article @ Phantom’s link is mostly about Palin’s cronyism and vindictive approach to governance, but a consistent theme is persisting:
Ms. Palin declined to grant an interview for this article. The McCain-Palin campaign responded to some questions on her behalf and that of her husband, while referring others to the governor’s spokespeople, who did not respond.
Did someone say her next interview is with Sean-friggin’-Hannity? LOL!
Do you see the many who make positive comments are given high-paying jobs, those who say anything perceived as negative are fired? It seems to me Sarah Palin didn’t like the GOBN that was in place; she likes her own much better.
And guess what? This is exactly how BUSH governs! He wants people he “likes,” and it really doesn’t matter whether they are qualified. Good job, Brownie.
In hopes of being elected McCain is now saying he wants to REFORM and CHANGE — so he has the exact same people currently running things coach, teach, package his running mate. McCain has NO, NADA, ZILCH policies that differ from those of the past EIGHT years of bushco.
Saddest? There are people who think this is change. And they walk among us.
“Well hell Boxlock she sent everyone in Alaska free money. I could get 80% approval if I sent everybody a thousand dollars.”
No…no you couldn’t BJ, you have and would have a near zero approval rating.
You would have a very high repulsive rating though.
Imagine that… A leader who wants to have people on the team that will support her goals and visions instead of those that do not.
I am simply amazed, shocked I tell you.
Just in case you happened to see the ABCNews (if you watched ABC News, I won’t but was told of this) with interviews of 5 military folks in Iraq ˆ 3 planned to vote for Obama and 2 for Hillary; no mention of any McCain supporters. Well, here’s the ‘Rest of the Story.’
**********************************************************************************************
This is from Major General (ret)Buckman.
*********************************************************************************************
“My niece, Katelyn, stationed at Baluud ,Iraq, was assigned with others of her unit, to be escorted/guarded/ watched outfor Martha Raddatz of ABC News as she covered John McCain’s recent trip toIraq. Katelyn and her Captain stood directly behind Raddatz as shequeried GI’s walking past. They kept count of the GI’s and you should remember these numbers. She asked 60 GI’s who they planned to vote for, in November, ‘08.
54 soldier’s said John McCain,
4 for Obama and
2 for Hillary. Katelyn called home and told her Mom andDad to watch ABC news the next night because she was standing directly behind Raddatz and maybe they’d see her on TV. Mom and Dad of course, called and emailed all the kinfolk to watch the newscast and maybe see Katelyn. Well, of course, we all watched and what we saw wasn’t a glimpse of Katelyn, but got ahell’ava view of skewed news.
After a dissertation on McCain’s trip and speech, ABC showed 5 GI’s being asked by Raddatz how they were going tovote in November;
3 for Obama and
2 for Clinton. No mention of the 54 for McCain.”
What a bunch of lying news organizations anymore.
“And guess what? This is exactly how BUSH governs! He wants people he “likes,” and it really doesn’t matter whether they are qualified. Good job, Brownie. — Ms Inks.
They did learn a bit from Katrina, and eventually, they learned a bit from failures in Iraq, but my GAWD, what a slow curve.

I think the second NYT article gets right down to nitty gritty. It is a MUST read!
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/14/opinion/14rich.html?pagewanted=2
Her high approval rating for giving out money to the voters, I wonder how the amount she sent out compares to the amount she kept from the previous bridge to nowhere earmark. I bet in effect, the people of Alaska received two federal tax rebates this yr.
Who really carea anything about what the New York Times has to say….the most discredited paper in the country I imagine.
But is does point out another good characteristic of McCain. He knows the good and effective people to pick and surround himself with, and he knows how to use them.
That is the single best characteristic of an executive decision maker.
Good for McCain and Palin.
PS:
Obama has miserable abilities like that.
I agree with the second article, Obama needs to focus on mccain and bush failed policie, especially those mccain would continue (virtually all), the press is starting to vet Palin, and people aren’t going to like what they see.
The nyt will serve as a focal point, and from there be covered by the more moderate mainstream media.
As far as the rape kits, you doofuses- how many cases of rape actually go to trial where one can recoup the cost of the kit? About 10%!!!!
And that’s of the actual cases reported. So give me a freaking break that Sarah Palin was all against it- what a crock. Just trying to save the taxpayer by making the victims pay for their own forensics????? WTF. Thank GOD they had a governor who saw this insanity for what it was. They could gett taxpayer earmarks for testing dna of seals, but can’t pay for rape kits my azz.
Face it, with her psycho fundy freakness, she probably is one that believes rape is a punishment from god, and a good woman should submit to a man- because if she was raped she was in the wrong for getting raped to begin with.
Augh. Its like the certain cultures who believe that men who rape women and impregnate them have to marry the men who assaulted them!
McCain’s camp hasn’t made a lot of friends with media recently. Seems his timing is a bit off. He was the media darling when people (other than us political junkies) weren’t paying attention. Now, and over the next few weeks, methinks the media won’t be so enamored of the old coot.
And although McCain has enjoyed a great deal of attention, energized the “base,” and realized a big jump in the polls, the electoral college advantage is still with Obama.
It’s still true that if Kansas was going to have SIX electoral college votes for McCain, an increase in enthusiasm among Kansans, more Kansas Republicans voting, won’t add to that total. There will still be SIX electoral college votes for McCain from Kansas.
Obama will not win.

What happens when these people become household names?

And YES, Obama IS a Marxist.
Obama was trained in the Saul Alinsky method.
Alinsky was a Marxist.
Obama’s mentor, in Hawaii, was Mr. Frank, a Communist.
Obama is the MOST liberal member of Congress.
Obama’s Pastor, Jeremiah Wright, HATES the USA.
Yes, Obama IS a Marxist.
Read Obama’s own books, would you? Obama lists several books that form his ideas. They were all written by radicals.
pmom
What you just posted is more “psycho” than anything Palin has ever said or done.
Obama is a radical, who supports tyrants around the world:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBJouPhws1M
Odinga had a pact with radical Islam:
http://www.israelunitycoalition.org/news/article.php?id=2998
Give Obama 40 percent of the white vote, and McCain 60; then give Obama 90 percent of the black vote and 60 percent of the hispanic vote, then plot an electoral college map. Could be interesting. I wonder if there’s an interactive site into which such things could be plugged.
Then take the reds states of the South, mixed Kansas and such like places, and give McCain 70 percent.
Could be interesting. I don’t think there’s any doubt that McCain is going to run way ahead of Obama among whites. Look at the convention.
As I have said time and again; this election is about race; and the only thing you need to do to prove my point is look at the convention floors.

Okay, I tried to be nice, cause you’re a bit mentally off, but that bit was so far out as to make the chaos theory an impossibility. Logic just up and disappeared from the universe.
Giving the media NO to limited access to the person their audiences want to hear from most must be frustrating. Then remember the comments from the McCain camp about how unfair the media has been. Doesn’t seem the path to win and influence friends.

And if the New York Times is so discredited, why do most of the news organizations in the world use it as the source of many if not most of their national and international stories. Every newsman at Fox, Rush, Savage, and all the others read it at breakfast, and attack it after lunch. The Times has had some spectacular screw-ups, it’s true, but month after month, year after year, it is still the source document used by more journalists and commentators than any other.

Oh, I have all my teeth, and no cavities.

The R party thinks of palin as their Joan of Arc, but she’s going to be their downfall instead of leader.
That’s what happens when you fall in love at first sight(too often). If she’d been vetted like Obama’s prospects were (one guy said they asked him who was his high scool girlfriend, and they talked to her and counted it against him when she denied it). Of course if your high school friends, and friends depend on you for their employment, true vetting might have been an impossibility. Like Kilkenny said her opposition is afraid to speak out.
“Oh, I have all my teeth, and no cavities.”

I’m still laughing! My daughter is 44 and has never had a cavity. She is almost always able to work this into the conversation. Don’t ask me how! Her hubby and I sometimes make wagers on how long it will take for her to get this (un)important (and usually waaaay off topic) bit of info into the current conversation.
It doesn’t matter to the Republican Party what she is as long as she is super white. They’ll vote for her.
We critters without cavities are s-o-o-o-o superior to you with mortal teeth.
They might achieve limited damage control through the WSJ(murdoch) but I don’t think that’ll be enough.
I doubt that Obama will get even 50% of the Hispanic vote.
For one thing, McCain is well liked by Hispanics.
For another?
Racial tensions between Hispanics and Blacks has always been very high.
Jobs and nepotism are two things working America know all too well, that alone is going to cause great damage.

Jason Blair, New York times, has to RESIGN:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayson_Blair
Jayson Blair (born March 23, 1976, Columbia, Maryland) is a journalist who was forced to resign from the New York Times in May 2003, after he was caught plagiarizing and fabricating elements of his stories.
“Historical controversies
New York Times headlines on the mass murder of Armenians and Pontic Greeks[6]The paper, like many news organizations, has often been accused of giving too little or too much coverage to events for reasons not related to objective journalism. One of these allegations is that before and during World War II, the newspaper downplayed accusations that the Third Reich had targeted Jews for expulsion and genocide, in part because the publisher, who was Jewish, feared the taint of taking on any “Jewish cause.”[7]
Another serious charge is the accusation that the Times, through its coverage of the Soviet Union by correspondent Walter Duranty, helped cover up the Ukrainian genocide by Joseph Stalin in the 1930s.[8][9]
In 1965, the Times published a story about a Jewish man turned neo-Nazi, Dan Burros. Burros killed himself minutes after the paper came out with the story.[10]
The Times has been accused by Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting of giving partial coverage of events in the 1980s in Central America, in particular by insisting on human rights violations committed in Nicaragua, to the detriment of other abuses during the Salvadoran Civil War, the Guatemalan Civil War or under the dictatorship in Honduras.[11]

Hey Bluejay, is that not what your man Obama wants to do. Take money from the so called rich and give it to the so called lower class people. If he gets in and you work for a small company you will be looking for a job. Than Obama claim of wanting to “change”will happen, Instead of having dollars you will have change.
I actually like Judith Miller, formerly with the Times:

In Judith Miller’s legal defense, in the Valerie Plame case, Miller stated that NO LAW had been violated since Plame was OUTED years previously, by her husband Joe Wilson, by Cuba, and by the Soviet Union.

What crap!
Obama has never been “vetted” — that is ridiculous.
Show us one of the people he “helped” as a “neighborhood organizer” would you?
The fact is, Obama’s job, as a “neighborhood organizer” was to stir the pot, get Black church members upset about something, and then get them to turn out and vote. Obama was part of the dirty Chicago machine. Obama never helped anyone.
The Chicago press HAS done stories about Rezco and the Obama connections to Rezco. The national media had kept a lid on that story. Rezco was a slum lord who went to prison. Rezco owned apartments that had no heat and bad plumbing. Rezco wrote campaign checks to Obama at the same time Rezco had zonning and court hearings on his slums. Obama’s law firm represented Rezco. Obama wrote letters, on behalf of Rezco, to Federal and State regulators and politicians.
When has the national media told us ANY of this stuff?
oh yah, “community organizer” — whatever.

Liberals are amazing.
They criticize Bush, for the way Bush has SUCCESSFULLY defended America.
Yet —
Liberals support Obama, who’s friend, former boss and political supporter is terrorist William Ayers, who was in an article, in the New York Times, on 9-11-01, saying he had not “done enough” bombing of buildings.
William Ayers bombed the Pentagon.
William Ayers and Obama are close friends.
”
At the same time that those airplanes hit the World Trade Center, there were copies of the New York Times newspapers, being read, in those buildings, which contained the article about terrorist William Ayers! Ayers BRAGGED about his bombings. Ayers was still bragging about blowing up 30 different buildings, long after 9-11-01.”

Go figure. Let me guess, you were reading the liberal blogs again and simply believe anything they say there?
BlueJay, I don’t know where you’ve heard that rumor, but all I’ve ever read is what is in this article (and, I’ve read the same thing in several places):
—–
Gov. Sarah Palin said goodbye to about 4,000 troops bound for Iraq Thursday, including her eldest son, at a deployment ceremony for the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.
Palin came home to Alaska Wednesday in part for the ceremony, which military officials stressed had been planned before she was named to the Republican presidential ticket two weeks ago.

I admit it, I’ve done things like the above on this blog, but dealing with the wefu as a collective has calmed those urges. Snarky, snarky, snarky. In fact, this whole blog is one big old snark, but GAWD, we were amateurs. If you can say one thing about Palin, she’s snarky.
It was an invitation to my fellow bloggers to vet out the story Nathan. This is what bloggers do. And last I checked, I don’t answer to you.

Nope.

Good lord Boxlock, do you pull this stuff outta your ass? Pull your head outta there instead.
Linda is a very warm and engaging and FUN person.
Ask Nathan. Last meetup we didn’t invite him to he cried all day.
beber, there are posts and posters one shouldn’t dignify with a response.
And as one with superior (vs mere mortal) teeth, I know you understood. ;-)
I heard about the story from my mother, who heard about it on Countdown.
Worth looking further into.
BlueJay,
Sure, you liberals are two faced hypocrites. You love to preach about tolerance, accpetance, and how much fun, loving and warm you are.
Yet you go out of your way to make sure that you don’t invite anyone that disagrees with you and then make sure to rub it in their faces that they were not invited.
Nevermind the fact that many of us have been to several meet ups in the past and had a great time.
Understandably, there is little being said about his deployment, no details. There are nuts in this world. It wouldn’t be safe to divulge details of when and where. But, as far as I’ve read the ceremony was planned for that date because it was 9/11 — when Americans thoughts go to the patriotic, and those soldiers are deploying soon, although not on that exact date. Maybe Track was taken from that ceremony in a secretive way. Again, there are nuts in this world. It is understandable why details of where and when he will deploy aren’t released.
Oh I’ve set him off again.
“You love to preach about tolerance, accpetance, and how much fun, loving and warm you are.”
Well? We are. But? You and cons are…well, not.
I’m working on a meetup now. The general feeling is that it will be more…relaxed, and fun without cons. I don’t know how to say it any other way. It’s just the truth.
You can ask Steven Davis, I don’t bite either. :D
Of course, Junior’s version of the events is entirely fictional as he didn’t even have the courtesy to stop, park his truck and introduce himself.
Frankly, I don’t care if I meet people or not, but it’s always an option for me. Life is short or long, depending what situation arises.
BlueJay,
Sure. I have more fun going out shooting with my best friend than I do in other things with other friends.
I still make time to hang out with them.
I still make time to do things and involve myself with others that are not quite as fun.
The truth is, that I don’t really care if you liberals hang out every weekend.
It is your pompous attitude here when you rub it in our faces that not only are we not invited, but that you think we are not fun.
Quite frankly, I have not seen such immaturity or elitism since Junior High.
Yes Ms. Inks, but we all do.

Just ask Rep. George Miller.
Miller, D-Martinez, a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, introduced federal legislation last year to end Alaska’s policy of allowing people to shoot wolves from airplanes – a practice used to keep the number of wolves in check so they don’t eat all the state’s moose and caribou.
Miller – who has strong support from environmental groups around the country – deemed the kills cruel and unnecessary to preserve the moose and caribou population. What’s more, he said, they violate federal law banning airborne hunting.
Faster than you can cry wolf, Palin told the East Bay congressman and his Washington pals to butt out.
“Congressman Miller doesn’t understand rural Alaska (and) doesn’t comprehend wildlife management in the North,” the Alaska governor said in a statement issued last September.
Miller is also clueless to the fact that game hunters rely on the moose and caribou “to put healthy food on their families’ dinner tables,” Palin said.
Miller, however, tells us there are plenty of moose and caribou for native Alaskans to hunt. He says his bill, still waiting to be heard in committee, is really about stopping the state from handing out licenses to sportsmen “in the name of predator control.”
“Shooting wolves from airplanes probably doesn’t look like a good deal to most Americans,” he said.
Shooting wolves from airplanes?
Somebody do the math for me here.
If you can afford to fly around shooting wolves, I am guessing you can go to the grocery store as opposed to having to hunt for your food.
Palin is …I don’t have a word. She’s awful.
“Yet you go out of your way to make sure that you don’t invite anyone that disagrees with you” — the wefu
Why, oh why, dear one, would one invite disagreeable people?

No, but you’d be advise to pull yours out of your arse. It seems to be perpetually there.
As much time as you spend with it in there do you actually enjoy that?

McCain-Palin Crowd-Size Estimates Not Backed by Officials
By Lorraine Woellert and Jeff Bliss
Sept. 13 (Bloomberg) — Senator John McCain has drawn some of the biggest crowds of his presidential campaign since adding Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to his ticket on Aug. 29. Now officials say they can’t substantiate the figures McCain’s aides are claiming.
McCain aide Kimmie Lipscomb told reporters on Sept. 10 that an outdoor rally in Fairfax City, Virginia, drew 23,000 people, attributing the crowd estimate to a fire marshal.
Fairfax City Fire Marshal Andrew Wilson said his office did not supply that number to the campaign and could not confirm it. Wilson, in an interview, said the fire department does not monitor attendance at outdoor events.
In recent days, journalists attending the rallies have been raising questions about the crowd estimates with the campaign. In a story on Sept. 11 about Palin’s attraction for some Virginia women voters, Washington Post reporter Marc Fisher estimated the crowd to be 8,000, not the 23,000 cited by the campaign.
“The 23,000 figure was substantiated on the ground,” McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said. “The campaign is willing to stand by the fact that it was our

Ahha! Another clarification by Palin campaign.
“WASHINGTON – Sarah Palin’s visit to Iraq in 2007 consisted of a brief stop at a border crossing between Iraq and Kuwait, the vice presidential candidate’s campaign said yesterday, in the second official revision of her only trip outside North America.
Following her selection last month as John McCain’s running mate, aides said Palin had traveled to Ireland, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq to meet with members of the Alaska National Guard. During that trip she was said to have visited a “military outpost” inside Iraq. The campaign has since repeated that Palin’s foreign travel included an excursion into the Iraq battle zone.
But in response to queries about the details of her trip, campaign aides and National Guard officials in Alaska said by telephone yesterday that she did not venture beyond the Kuwait-Iraq border when she visited Khabari Alawazem Crossing, also known as “K-Crossing,” on July 25, 2007.
Asked to clarify where she traveled in Iraq, Palin’s spokeswoman, Maria Comella, confirmed that “She visited a military outpost on the other side of the Kuwait-Iraq border.”
It was the second such clarification in as many weeks of the itinerary of what Palin has called “the trip of a lifetime.” Earlier, the campaign acknowledged that Palin made only a refueling stop in Ireland.
In her interview with ABC News Thursday night, Palin did not mention Iraq in describing the visit, saying only that she went to Kuwait and Germany to meet with US forces.
According to an itinerary obtained from the Alaska National Guard, the Republican governor visited troops and airmen at a series of bases in Kuwait, including Camp Buehring, Camp Virginia, and Ali Al Salem Air Base.
Her visit to Iraq itself was during a short stop at Khabari Alawazem Crossing on the second day of her two-day trip to the region.
Palin arrived at Camp Buehring in Kuwait, where she held a town meeting with soldiers and reviewed various training programs designed to prepare troops to deploy into Iraq, said Lieutenant Colonel Dave Osborn, commander of the 3d Battalion, 207th Infantry of the Alaska National Guard, who was in charge of the 570 local troops serving in Kuwait and Iraq.
“The whole intent was to check on the Alaskans,” Osborn said in a telephone interview yesterday.
On the second day of the trip, he said, Palin was flown to the border crossing, about 100 miles north of Camp Buehring, where she spent the morning meeting with troops and presiding over a ceremony in which an Alaska National Guard soldier extended his enlistment.
But she did not venture into Iraq, Osborn said. “You have to have permission to go into a lot of areas, and [the crossing] is where her permissions were,” he said.
Palin did not stay the night in Iraq, and spent the rest of the second day at Camp Virginia and Ali Al Salem Air Base, Osborn said.
Palin also told ABC that she had traveled to Mexico and Canada. Her campaign had previously mentioned a Canada visit, but not a trip to Mexico. Comella said yesterday that Palin had visited Mexico on vacation, and Canada once last year.
“We did not have 100 percent confirmation about the Mexico trip in the initial days we were being asked. It was a personal trip,” Comella said.
Palin’s campaign did not respond to requests for details about when she traveled to Mexico and where she went, nor did it provide details of her 2007 Canada trip or indicate whether it was for business or pleasure.

Well BJ typical logic for a lib but unless they threw the mother in that broom closet too then I am fighting for the life of a baby ‘after’ birth. Logic isn’t one of your strong points is it?
So Palin’s ‘life changing experience’ was at a border crossing?
“You and yours are “pro life” only until a child leaves a woman’s body.
Then? It’s “you’re on your own kid!”
So what are you proposing? Kill the defenseless human so it won’t be an “on your own kid” situation.
Which is of course absurd in itself.
The reason you want to kill the kid is for your own convenience, at least be honest about it.
I mean what more can happen to a child than to lose it’s life, and you want to deny it’s life for your own pleasure.
What self-centered hypocrits you are.

The question is open to you as well Boxlock.
A woman has just been told that she has a Down pregnancy. What do you tell her?
“A woman has just been told that she has a Down pregnancy. What do you tell her?”
You tell her she will have the gift of a Down syndrome baby.
To love and to cherish and that will enrich her life like nothing she can imagine if she will just accept the wonderful gift GOD has given her.
Will there be fear, sure. Will there be initial sorrow, sure. Will there be initial questioning of GOD’s plan or love of them for this challange, sure. But the love of GOD will bring them through that and to so much more. That child is a loving, living, breathing, human being, and once conceived deserves to live, not to die for the convenience and selfish fears of someone else.

Looks like McCain is running circles around Obama, on the internet and computer issue:
”
Sat, Sep 13, 2008 at 12:47:49 pm PDT
Maybe I’m cynical, but I can’t help suspecting that the Obama campaign was set up by John McCain’s self-deprecating statements about not “getting” the Internet. Here’s a Forbes article from 2000, and it’s clear that McCain is nowhere near as clueless as Obama would like to portray him: Forbes.com – Net Vs. Norm.
In certain ways, McCain was a natural Web candidate. Chairman of the Senate Telecommunications Subcommittee and regarded as the U.S. Senate’s savviest technologist, McCain is an inveterate devotee of email. His nightly ritual is to read his email together with his wife, Cindy. The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. “She’s a whiz on the keyboard, and I’m so laborious,” McCain admits.”

MSNBC’s David Shuster: “How can Barack Obama who is now running for the president have pushed the wrong buttons … Your job as a state legislator or a member of the U.S. Senate is to know exactly what you are voting on.” (MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” 1/24/07)
Shuster: “And if you don’t know what you are voting on or are confused then you ask somebody. But to push the wrong button and then to say ‘I was confused and made a mistake,’ no, that is not acceptable. You are running for the President. You need to be prepared … You need to take your positions seriously and know exactly what you are doing.” (MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” 1/24/07)
One Of Sen. Obama’s “Goofed” Votes Angered Fellow Democrats:
“Barack Obama Angered Fellow Democrats In The Illinois Senate When He Voted To Strip Millions Of Dollars From A Child Welfare Office On Chicago’s West Side. But Obama Had A Ready Explanation: He Goofed.” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)
Sen. Obama Voted With Republicans On The Issue But Then Criticized Them For Their Vote. “On June 11, 2002, Obama’s vote sparked a confrontation after he joined Republicans to block Democrats trying to override a veto by GOP Gov. George Ryan of a $2-million allotment for the west Chicago child welfare office.” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)
“Shortly Afterward, Obama Chastised Republicans For Their ‘Sanctimony’ In Claiming That Only They Had The Mettle To Make Tough Choices In A Tight Budget Year. And He Called For ‘Responsible Budgeting.’” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)
A Fellow Democrat Then Got Angry With Sen. Obama For His Contradiction. “A fellow Democrat suddenly seethed with anger. ‘You got a lot of nerve to talk about being responsible,’ said Sen. Rickey Hendon, accusing Obama of voting to close the child welfare office.” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)
Sen. Obama Later Changed His Vote In Order To Align With The Democrats. “Obama replied right away. ‘I understand Sen. Hendon’s anger. … I was not aware that I had voted no on that last — last piece of legislation,’ he said.” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)
“Obama Asked That The Record Reflect That He Meant To Vote Yes. Then He Requested That Hendon ‘Ask Me About A Vote Before He Names Me On The Floor.’” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)
NOTE: Democrat In Confrontation Declined To Recall The Event, But Added That He Never Pressed The Wrong Button While Voting. “Hendon declined to discuss the episode. ‘I try to block out unpleasant memories,’ said Hendon, who has endorsed Obama. ‘If I tried really hard to remember it, I probably could, but I’m not going to try hard because I’m supporting the senator all the way.’” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)
“Hendon Said ‘It Happens’ That Senators Press The Wrong Button. But He Was Quick To Add: ‘I’ve Never Done It.’” (Peter Wallsten, “Obama Said Oops On 6 State Senate Votes,” Los Angeles Times, 1/24/08)

I didn’t say she banned books Franklinpaulie.
I said she asked about banning books.
ABC was SUPPOSED to air her being questioned as to this. They did not.
Why?
BlueJay, you are so asinine in your comments I will not even respond directly except to say…you are so ridiculous I am going to bed.
God Bless All Of You, even HIS dumbest creations like BlueJay.
I have 5 children and one grandchild.
The grandchild is severely disabled.
I also had a brother that was deaf, he died when I was in college.
I have four other siblings, still living.
I can only tell you that families who have disabled children draw very close.
Nothing makes clear our humanity more than seeing the HUMAN traits in someone so completely helpless.
That you would deprive the world of this gift from God is sad.
She has taught me more than any Phd could ever dream of teaching me.
“am capable of doing several different things”
Lying, shilling and baseless personal attacks?
Yup you got that.
My reference to you being broken is that you are no longer an important personage in your party.
Just a flack for it here.
“Nothing makes clear our humanity more than seeing the HUMAN traits in someone so completely helpless.”
And yet you reserve this observation to your family.
And your judgment.
And to hell with anyone that isn’t you or on board with your beliefs.
need to stop being disingenuous about this, and discuss it. She is a representative of the TV base built by Pat Robertson, which is not “mainstream” in any religious sense and which McCain once opposed. Palin is a representative of the “New Wave” of apocalyptic Pentecostalism, a lunatic doomsday cult with a bizarre theocratic aganda.
The evangelists used to be Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. My Grandma was a Pentecostalist, and people in her church talked in tongues and fell on the ground like they do in Sarah Palin’s church, but my Grandma never heard of any “Rapture” and wasn’t expecting the end of the world. I tried to find something online to remind people about what evangelical Protestantism was before it became the religion of the apocalypse: Before God was coming to kill everybody who didn’t vote for George Bush and engulf all peoples who aren’t in your own church in grief, death, and torment. Before you preached about taking refuge in Alaska to wait for angels to come in some kind of flying saucers and rapturously beam you up to escape the mess you’ve made in God’s name.
When I used to go to my Grandma’s Pentecostal church, we sang a little song. Apparently you “evangelicals” no longer line your own children up across the stage to sing it, but I found this link instead. As far as I can tell, this version traces back to Pat Robertson’s sponsorship of a “Christian” theocracy in Zambia:

Keep in mind with your answer that I am a single Dad who has lived the reality of a society that does not hold parenthood with any respect. says Blue Jay.
Never had a problem with not being repsected as a parent of 2 children.
You might want to look in the mirror. Respect is something earned not given.
Wanted, person to run $2 million agency. No experience necessary, must have loved cows when a child.

Such is the only qualification needed to work for Palin. That, and being one of her friends. Palin practices the same old boy cronyism, she’s just more of the same.
Flatlander, is this RW&B all over again? If so, the act is improving.

Did she want to ban a book on sex change? A book I’m sure you hold dear but the rest of the world would find repulsive.
Just another reason millions of voters are now going to vote of McCain.
Palin for President.
“Kandisue” gives us –
“Just another reason millions of voters are now going to vote of McCain.
Palin for President.”
DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!
Tell her what she’s won, Johnny!
“Kandisue,” if you weren’t real someone would have to make you up.
There’s an astroturf campaign going on in right-wing twice-born churches to “Pray for John McCain’s early salvation…and death” going on. You want “Palin for President” and it’s becoming pretty clear that the “maverick” John S (for Senile) McCain the Third (for Shrub’s 3rd term) isn’t a favorite among the powers-that-be in the Republic Party.
If McCodger were to get elected, you’ve got the Alaskan Manchurian
puppetCandidate — almost as dumb as Shrub — who would do the NeoCONs’ bidding.Chas
The wolf population, in Alaska, is rather large.
Care to post a video of someones child being attacked by a wolf?
Monkey
“Astroturf” advertising and campaigning was made popular by David Axelrod.
David Axelrodis running the Obama campaign.
The idea is to use “fake grass” to attract “real grass roots”.
It helped Obama get the Democrat nomination, but — how long has it been since Obama did really well in a Primary?
Well let’s review.
Palin is the candidate of…
Those who would force a raped woman to pay for her own rape test.
Those who would tell that raped woman that a resulting pregnancy is some sort of “gift” and FORCE her to carry that “gift” to delivery.
Those who think hunting animals from airplanes is ok.
Those who would ban books that they do not agree with.
And that’s for starters.
Oh our poor country is SICK that a vile slime like Sarah Palin has any constituency at all.
mport
You criticize Palin’s faith?
Have you studied Black Liberation Theology, the faith of Obama and his church?
It all seems to stem from a hatred of religion of maybe it is just Christianity as far as I can tell.

Vile slime? is your heart as dark as your posts?
I’m beginning to believe that you may be under demonic oppression.
Seriously it’s not to late to turn your life around.
Kandisue hates everyone except Kandisue, Sarah Palin, and Pat Boone.
Kandi? Just my take, but I get from you that you would be VERY comfortable with…
“that all who disagree with them are infidels – and must either be converted, subjugated or put to death”
so long as you get to carry the cross before the mob doing the holy cleansing.
Do I get you just about right?
Religious zealotry of any faith is dangerous to freedom.

Soon very soon it will be open season on Christians.
I honestly believe if obama gets in it will happen during his Presidency.
Evil will have their day.
Baby killing, homosexuality, Islam, Pornography, Pedophiles, everything is in place. It’s coming.
You can see it in the posts here of the hatred of Christianity. It’s coming.
Oh. My. God.
“Baby killing, homosexuality, Islam, Pornography, Pedophiles, everything is in place. It’s coming.”
ROFLMQAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woo hoo! Nice touch, lumping in gay folks with all of the above.
Open season on christianists? I think you project a little, given that you also lump in the believers of Islam with pedophiles and “baby killers”? heheheheheheheheheh. HEE HEE HEEHEEEEEE.
heheheheheh.
Does fish and game have an opening day date for that open season on christianists? And why the whining? I thought you all WANTED to be raptured?
…hee hee hee heee. Still LAUGHING…
So, kandisue gives us the real message of her/his faith and politics.
Be afraid.
Be VERY afraid.
My reply?
Bedwetter.
IMHO KandiSue represents is one poster representing the 25% of what’s wrong with people that would call themselves Christians and call themselves Republicans.
The majority of Democrats that seem to post represent that 25% that is wrong with the left.
Extremists all for the most part.
It’s the middle 50-percenters that will decide the election and the future of our nation.
It IS rather strange and hypocritical.
Liberal Democrats hate Christian Conservatives, and use all kinds of phony “Seperation of Church and State” arguments against Christian Conservatives.
Yet?
Liberal Democrats support Obama, who launched his political career by organizing Black church members into political causes, using the Marxist Saul Alinsky method and using Black Liberation Theology.
Black Liberation Theology is VERY open to Nation of Islam teachings, and Louis Farrakhan, with all of his hate.
Obama has stated, publicly, on tape, that THIS is “one of the prettiests sounds in the world, at sunset”
