Linda,
"Are Republicans able to recognize that their party has been hijacked?"

I think you are mistaken about who is hijacking whom. It started with the neo-con messiah R. Reagan who persueded the evangelical christians that he was their chosen one. Given that neither he (nor any of his republican successors) ever actually delivered more than hot air on any major christian issue, the real surprise is that the evangelicals are still buying the same old song and dance. Maybe (scary as the thought may be) they really are as dumb as they look!

PER USUAL this blog only contains mindless drivel by a bunch of trolls attacking or defending Chrisitan political values, evoltuion or other non-issues. the psots only obfuscate the real issues which are the hypocrisy, corruption & fascism condoned by the elitist power broker attorneys & lobbyists in both parties. I'm surprised some of you haven't gone off on a tangent about Tiller & the abortion issue.

Too bad Rhonda wasted space & oxygen about the story about Brownback's DNA quote. Is this really newsowrthy? I think that it would be far more interesting & entertaining to learn something about the status of Brownback's appointment of US Attorney Eric Melgren to become a federal judge. Is the Melgren appointment dead? Would this be an embarrassment to Brownback? Oh wait a minute! To answer those important political questions, Rhonda or a reporter at the Eagle would have to pick up the telephone and ask some actual investigative questions. It so much lazier for Rhonda, Phil & Randy to surf the internet to finds a link to another news source to support their biased opinions & blog entries. Very pathetic.

"TomPaine" asks --

<i>"So I might agree with Republicans on some issues but because I’m not a Christian I’m not welcome?"</i>

Pretty much.

Ask Joe Lieberman.

Everyone knows John S (for Senile) McCain the Third (for Shrub's 3rd term) wanted Lieberman to be his running mate.

And everyone knows why his Republic Party handlers prevented it.

Linda,

Please tell us about your definition of good and evil and how you are able to discern the two as produced by political leaders. We need you to help us know how to determine right and wrong and how to vote accordingly....

with the right votes we can eradicate evil, isn't that right?

Are Republicans able to recognize that their party has been hijacked? Are Christians able to recognize the evil being done in the name of God?
========

Yes, yes.

Must be the today for the Wichita Eagle Editorial department to attack Christianity. That’s two articles in a row that are mocking Christianity

___

Who is mocking Christianity? It's not the denomination that has the problem, it is some people that use that label to further their own personal agendas. Jesus only showed his temper once and that was when he ran the vendors out of the temple. That's how I view some of these radical Evangelical Christians - they are the vendors in the temple using the name Christianity for their own personal gain.

They don't want you there.

Of course, I don't want republicans in my party either.
