With friends like Pakistan . . .

pakpolice“American intelligence agencies have concluded that members of Pakistan’s powerful spy service helped plan the deadly July 7 bombing of India’s embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, according to United States government officials,” the New York Times reported. “The American officials also said there was new information showing that members of the Pakistani intelligence service were increasingly providing militants with details about the American campaign against them, in some cases allowing militants to avoid American missile strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas.”

And this is a revelation how? Since it was Pakistan’s intelligence that build up the Taliban and used the terrorists to strike at India. They would have closes ties to them and share ideology with them. Mr. Webster I would like you to meet Mr. Beelzebub. Pakistan long ago choose their side in this I would say it was back in 2003 or so.

Yeah, the feud with India has gone on forever.

I say no more aid to Pakistan until they clean up their act.

Jenna, after the war was against a peaceful unified sub-contintnent envisioned by Ghandi, Nehru and the Brits where Moslems and Hindus could exist side by side. He wanted and got a seperate and the first official Islamist state carved out of India and ever since have been at war with, or interferring in, all the countries in the region that are not officially or functionly Islamic. This is why the West fears Islamic states, it has little to do with denying democracy, rather an aversion to to totally Islamic States, because of their record, aims and objects.

What corner of the bush comic book stand will THIS bit occupy?

We HAD sanctions against Pakistan because of their nukes.

    Oh but bush dropped those.

So Pakistan would help us get bin Laden?

And WHERE is Osama bin Laden, mastermind or at least conspirator in the greatest attack on US soil in history?

Why he’s in Pakistan of course!

You could pay a roomful of writers and they could not come up with a more failed administration.

Obama went to Pakistan while he was still in college.
He doesn’t talk much about it.
It is not hard to understand why: At the time Obama visited Pakistan, hardly any “foreign” visitors could get into that country.

You’re so right Paul. Just like Clinton trained to be a Communist spy in the 60s, Obama was training to be a Muslim terrorist when he was a teenager.

I must confess. I traveled to Canada around the time Canadians seized American fishing vessels. I was clearly training to be a terrorist for the Canadian government and conspiring to control the nation’s fish supply.

Bush visited several times, gave them lots of money, accomplished little else.

Obama visited India too while touring Asia. Clearly he was training as a Hindu terrorist in India. And you know what, Obama had visited Kansas when he was young. There’s a lot of bomb making equipment in Kansas. Paul is right, Obama has been conducting acts of terrorism since he was three.

NOT TRUE! I knew people who traveled there - it was not that difficult to get in. PROVE IT PAUL!

As for Pakistan harboring alQuada/Taliban and being an ally that should come as no surprise. After all, the origin of alQuada is SAUDI ARABIA - another good ally!

Remember, Bush is the guy who looked in Putin’s eyes and saw his soulmate.

We’ve seen an oft repeated pattern of what the Dems. have said all along on just about every issue eventually being confirmed by the factual case. But it is small comfort being right, when the Right has been so wrong.

Pakistan is just doing what it has always had to do in a country chock full of heavily armed militants for widely varied and often conflicting causes. It has played both sides of the fence in an incredible balancing act, in pure middle-east tradition. That’s how governments survive in such an atmosphere. It’s a matter of keeping as many of the factions as happy as you can, or at least not so unhappy as to start shooting at you. If you thought Deadwood was hairy, try Karachi!
