It’s not big deal mentioning there are plenty of “scientists” who believe in a young earth, contrary to the scientific evidence. It’s a completely different matter on mentioning who those scientists are and whether or not they have degrees in a related field that would guide one to conclude there is a young earth.

The vast majority of scientists in fields such as physics, astronomy, chemistry, and other hard sciences are Atheists. It has a lot to do with the negative correlation with knowledge and religiosity. Knowledge is the enemy of fundamentalism, that’s why fundies oppose scientific inquiry.

I am saying no such thing. I made no claim that all scientists are athiests. Actually, almost every time my father and I are told that we are ignorant for believing in a Young Earth, both he and I will mention that there are plenty of scientists who believe in a young Earth.

My point is that regardless of how many scientists actually believe in God, do you think any of them have published any papers or done any studies which mention God as any part of it? (at least anything that was not laughed out or not accepted)
