ORIGIN OF LIFE.
Why do textbooks claim that the 1953 Miller-Urey experiment shows how life’s building blocks may have formed on the early Earth–when conditions on the early Earth were probably nothing like those used in the experiment, and the origin of life remains a mystery?
I dunno Hank, let’s ask JWink, he was around back then and saw it all. :D
‘Morning Regular,
‘53 was about the time I moved to Wichita from El Dorado. I was in the third grade.

“Why do textbooks claim that the 1953 Miller-Urey experiment shows how life’s building blocks may have formed on the early Earth–when conditions on the early Earth were probably nothing like those used in the experiment, and the origin of life remains a mystery?”
Because it was the first study which laid the groundwork for numerous other studies which repeated the experiment using a variety of conditions and produced similar results. A study was done that also showed RNA molecules could form in the air pockets in ice. Simply put the development of organic materials from inorganic sources is quite common.
Hank, yesterday you stated you had some scientific evidence that a god created lizards. Are you going to present that evidence?
“Hank, yesterday you stated you had some scientific evidence that a god created lizards. Are you going to present that evidence?”
I never said that, MP. You got any scientific evidence that he didn’t? In fact, you got any evidence that these lizards were ever anything other than the lizards God created?
“Because it was the first study which laid the groundwork for numerous other studies which repeated the experiment using a variety of conditions and produced similar results.”
That’s a lie MP.
Because the Miller-Urey experiment used a simulated atmosphere that geochemists now agree was incorrect, it was not the “first successful attempt to show how organic molecules might have been produced on the early Earth.” When conditions are changed to reflect better knowledge of the Earth’s early atmosphere, the experiment doesn’t work.

The Truth
I don’t know why I’m posing this question (other than showing the possibility that the people that approached him finally got what they wanted), but have you ever heard of Smedley Butler? He stood up to thugs, Petraeus hasn’t and is a willing accomplice. Congress heard and corroborated everything he (Butler) alleged and yet even then, Congress did nothing. Although, Prescott Bush was shut down for trading with the enemy.
Bush=Nazi.
“I never said that, MP. You got any scientific evidence that he didn’t? In fact, you got any evidence that these lizards were ever anything other than the lizards God created?”
It’s not up to me to disprove your claims. You claimed your god made lizards. That’s a scientific claim as it was made in the context of referring to a scientific article about the evolution of lizards. Clearly you were dishonest and can’t support your blatant lie.
“That’s a lie MP.

No, as I have said it served as the groundwork for numerous other studies including the ice study I mentioned. Scientists repeated the study as well as altering the atmospheric conditions. The results were the same.
Business Plot.
Something’s never change.

You need to read more about Prescott Bush. He worked for a Dutch Bank that, yes, did business with Germany. Prescott Bush had minimal shares in the bank and was caught up like everyone else when Germany decided to go Nazi. The assets for Prescott were frozen until the early 1960s when it was decided there was no wrong doing by the Bush family elder.
Did ya catch that Pfeefer? The U.S. government cleared Prescott Bush of any charges. Re-inventing history doesn’t become thinking Americans.
Thought you were better than that.
Prescott Bush was also part of the plot to overthrow President Roosevelt and replace him with a fascist dictator.

As I said before Maggot, re-interpretation of history doesn’t mean a claim is true.
All these “what if’s” and “could of been’s” are just products of conspiratorial loons with hyperactive imaginations.
I care not who or what this government “cleared” of wrong-doing. This hasn’t been our government since 1913.
Prescott was a Nazi and so is his Grandson. You go ahead and put lipstick on the pig all you want.
Regular, you’re ignorant and there’s no shame in that.
What’s the difference between ignorance and apathy?
I don’t know and I don’t care.
Regular whines:
“As I said before Maggot, re-interpretation of history doesn’t mean a claim is true.”
You are the only one claiming the historical events didn’t happen despite them being well documented. Or is it your claim since a bunch of rich, powerful conservatives didn’t get prosecuted then they must have been innocent. Yeah, O.J. Simpson didn’t kill anybody either.
So tell me wise one, how did all the historians manage to get it wrong but you have the correct information about the conspiracy to overthrow Roosevelt? Will it be just as compelling as Hank’s scientific evidence that lizards were created out of nothing by a magic man who lives in the clouds?
My great grandfather used to be a moonshiner. Does that implicate me, MH? I would love to know how I am accountable for my ancestor’s actions.
Similarly, please demonstrate how GW is accountable for things his grandfather did. I am not sure I understand the connection.
–and before you jump up and down and scream how horrid GW is, please note I am not defending him, am very disappointed in his presidency, and wish he would just go away. But, I am truely curious about how you are going to blame him for the actions of his grandfather.
Please elaborate…
While there is no suggestion that Prescott Bush was sympathetic to the Nazi cause, the documents reveal that the firm he worked for, Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), acted as a US base for the German industrialist, Fritz Thyssen, who helped finance Hitler in the 1930s before falling out with him at the end of the decade. The Guardian has seen evidence that shows Bush was the director of the New York-based Union Banking Corporation (UBC) that represented Thyssen’s US interests and he continued to work for the bank after America entered the war.
What the article fails to mention about Thyssen.
“Thyssen had been an early financial backer of the Nazi party, but by 1939 was bitterly denouncing Hitler and had fled Germany.”
“By 1941 Thyssen no longer had control over his business empire, which was in the hands of the Nazi government.”
“Bush was a director and held only one share in the Union Bank.”
“Toby Rogers claimed that Bush’s connections to Silesian businesses (with Thyssen and Flick) made him complicit with the slave labour mining operations in Poland out of Auschwitz. However given Thyssen fled Germany before Hitler invaded Poland and set up those mining operations it is very hard to see how this claim can be defended.”
Thyssen was Dutch, not German. Many Dutch were killed and imprisoned during WWII fighting against the Nazis.
* Bush was also an early supporter of the United Negro College Fund, serving as chairman of the Connecticut branch in 1951.
* Served as Senator from 1952 – 1963
Put the USAPATRIOT Act beside Hitler’s Enabling Act. Read them and compare.

What Historians would that be Maggot?
You mean those in the U.K. tabloid the “Guardian” which Pfeefer uses a reference? Those people are not Historians they are “shock reporters” selling their screed to conspiracy chimps like you and pfeefer.
Pleefer….I am still waiting to learn how you make GW responsible for the actions of his grandfather. I fail to see the link.
I have another ancestor who owned slaves. Does that make me a criminal?

Hmmm guess you were right MP the nut doesn’t fall far from the tree.
“What Historians would that be Maggot?”
Eva Schweitzer for one, others have written books on the subject. The Guardian didn’t just make up the story, they did have the recently declassified documents. So the point is moot.

And by total random chance, they then combined into larger organic molecules and more complex proteins that by incredible random chance happened to combine in just the right sequence to produce the building blocks of life. At some point the protein molecules magically came together to form a living cell. The cells started breeding, and then again changing and evolving magically into other, larger and more and more complex life forms, and then magically becoming self-aware and voila, here we are.
Of course, even with the best of directed efforts by brilliant scientists and scientific technology, we have been unable to produce the first stage, a living cell. And none have been able to offer more than theories to explain the process by which it occurred.
And Maggie thinks that a Designer is a silly concept.
If it’s not Rush or Fox, it’s apparently “tabloid”.
You’re not powerful nor rich. Bush on the other hand is. It’s a family tradition.

The Guardian is a Lib paper.
“Editorial articles in The Guardian are generally to the left of the political spectrum. This is reflected in the paper’s readership: a MORI poll taken between April and June 2000 showed that 80% of Guardian readers were Labour Party voters;[3] according to another MORI poll taken in 2004, 44% of Guardian readers were Labour voters and 37% Liberal Democrat voters”

It was a phoney experiment that hasn’t been repeated, MP. Name one study that used the Miller-Urey experiment as groundwork. Just one.
Some have compared that chance (Producing single cell life) Maggie to a tornado going through a junk yard and producing a Ferrari. About right.

Hmmm… Sounds like a direct threat to the POTUS, Pleef. I think there are laws against that.
No it doesn’t. A “direct threat” is a direct threat.
What I stated was much like calling for impeachment. Would that be a “direct threat” as well?
Dummy, quit thinking your clever, you isn’t.
The ‘Tinfoil hat’ award goes to Pfeefer today.
Wear it proudly Pfeefer. :D
At this point, Pleefer has a permanent place in the tinfoil hall. He’s good for a laugh and an eye roll, but not much else.
Remember – the fact that there is no evidence in support of the “conspiracy” simply means that there is a conspiracy. Beauty, eh?
Thanks, I always do.
Unfortunately, GM, he’s not even good for a laugh anymore. He’s much too predictable for comedy.
Well, I hope you all get what you want, be it, WW3 or socialized health care or more tax rebates. You’ll be arguing the same idiocy for the next, oh, however many years it takes you folks to bring upon your “end of the world”.
I’ll leave you folks to doing what you do best…big talk about nothing.
You’re right though, I ain’t laughing either.
Pleefer- Hoe did you get Regular to take off the Tin foil hat and give it to you? I thought he won it as part of a like time award.
Boy, you must have some real mojo!!
“My great grandfather used to be a moonshiner. Does that implicate me, MH?”
Only if you inherited wealth from him, either directly or indirectly. Are you enjoying benefits from the wealth he accumulated with his illegal activities? Then I suggest you give that wealth to charity. It’s ill gotten gain. Just like the bush crime family’s wealth.
My wife says I have superb mojo.
Sorry, KFG, he died penniless. No ill gotten gains to be had.
So, are you suggesting that the Kennedy’s give all their inherited wealth from the rum running activities of Joe Kennedy to charity? I am sure they will rush out to do just that….yeah, right.
So…. two wrongs make a right? Bushco is criticized so you bring up the Kennedy’s?
Big eye roll.

So kfg, should the Kennedy’s give up their wealth because their father made it from selling illegal bootleg whiskey?
It’s a simple question. :)
If that’s how they got their money, then yes.
Ahhhh….it is only illegal if the Republicans do it, but the Kennedy’s get a pass, is that it?
I never said 2 wrongs make a right. But if you are going to suggest that ancestral wealth, if accumulated thru less than legal means, should be given to charity, then let’s demand it ALL be done that way–including your precious Kennedy’s.
Otherwise it is a hollow political attack with no rationale.
Plus, I fail to see where a banker working with a legitimate government is illegal. The government changed, yes, but does that present any kind of evidence that the banking business was in and of itself illegal?
No..unless you are an extreme left winger, then even the act of breathing is illegal if done by a Republican.
Jesus WEPT! Please repost where I called the Kennedys precious or defended them.
Is there something about:
“If that’s how they got their money, then yes.”
That’s just too damn hard to understand?
THE BANK WAS STILL DOING BUSINESS WITH HITLER’S GERMANY EVEN AFTER PEARL HARBOR.
Hank ignorantly states:
“It was a phoney experiment that hasn’t been repeated, MP. Name one study that used the Miller-Urey experiment as groundwork. Just one.”
Just one? There’s Jeffrey Bada, at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, Calif. It’s a common experiment done in high school and college labs but you only asked for one study that successfully repeated the experiment.
Any chance to get the name of the scientist that did that study showing god created lizards out of nothing?
Yeah, Jesus wept, alright..especially if he would ever read what passes for ‘logic’ on this blog!
Nobody seems able to answer my question….how is GW accountable for actions of his grandfather? Of course, I did read the totally ridiculous claim on this blog some time back that GW must be a nazi because his grandfather’s bank did business with the nazi governmnet. Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense. (not)
So..anyone care to answer an honest question without foaming at the mouth for a change? What is the crime that GW is accused of doing based on his grandfather’s bank? Anyone?
No sense in having a hissy fit attack mode on me, I am not defending anyone…I am just trying to get a straight answer–if that is at all possible.
Or, is this just another hate fest where reason doesn’t apply?

Confusion, Fear in Georgia as Russians Move Deeper
Russian armored vehicles were moving deeper into Georgian territory Wednesday, shattering a truce to end six days of fighting in the country that has displaced 100,000 people and battered the Georgian landscape.
Georgian officials said the city of Gori was looted and bombed by the Russians. An AP reporter later saw dozens of armored vehicles leaving the city, roaring south.
Russian officials denied the claims.
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said Russian troops are enforcing some sort of blockade around Tbilisi, but have not entered the capital.

Report: U.S. Refuses Israel Weapons to Attack Iran
JERUSALEM — The United States has rejected an Israeli arms request that would have improved Israel’s capability to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, a frontpage report in Israel’s Haaretz newspaper said on Wednesday.
The U.S. warned Israel against attacking, saying such a strike would undermine American interests, the paper said. The unsourced report also says the U.S. demanded that Israel give it a heads-up if it decides to strike Iran.
Defense Minister Ehud Barak did not deny the Haaretz story and refused to discuss it in an interview with Israeli Army Radio,
“It would not be right to talk about these things,” Barak said, according to Reuters.
Iran is a “threat to the whole world order, and there are many actions to be made in the realm of intelligence and preventive measures,” Barak said.
The United States “does not see an action against Iran as the right thing to do at the moment,” the defense minister said, but shared Israel’s view that “no option should be removed from the table”.

High-Ranked Navy Commander for Nuclear Reconnaisance Squadron Dismissed
SAN DIEGO — The commander of a Navy air reconnaissance squadron that provides the president and the defense secretary the airborne ability to command and control the nation’s nuclear submarines, bombers and missile silos has been relieved of duty, the Navy said Tuesday.
Cmdr. Shawn Bentley was relieved of duty Monday by the Navy for loss of confidence in his ability to command, only three months after assuming the position.
Capt. Brian Costello, commander of the Navy’s Strategic Communications Wing One, removed Bentley from command, said Lt. Cmdr. Charlie Brown, a spokesman for the Naval Air Forces.
Brown said Bentley, who is based with the squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, was removed after an investigation by the Navy’s Inspector General was completed. The Navy did not release any details about the investigation or about any possible allegations against Bentley.
But a source close to the investigation told The Associated Press Bentley’s removal regarded an undisclosed personal matter and was not related to the squadron’s missions or duties. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter.

McCain Obtained Marriage License with Cindy While Still Married to First Wife
While the news about Edwards’ affair has become front-page news, little attention has been paid to a recent report in the Los Angeles Times that exposed new details about how John McCain’s first marriage ended after he started an affair with his current wife. The paper revealed that McCain obtained an Arizona marriage license on March 6, 1980 to marry Cindy Hensley, even though at the time he was still legally married to his first wife, Carol.

They are all the same scum owned by the same people. They really believe they are above the law and above the “rules” of straight marriage. And they both believe so much in traditional values and the sanctity of marriage, as evidenced by their own behavior, that they couldnt POSSIBLY endorse same sex marriage.

Phone records are generally not protected under the 4th amendment. As a general rule, a warrant is not even needed. In the language of Katz v. US, they are not a “reasonable expectation of privacy.”
That is so because lots of people – at the phone company – have access to those records, for billing purposes. What is exposed to others is thus not reasonably expected to be private. It’s similar to what were “pen registers” in the pre-digital days.
And that has absolutely nothing to do with the Patriot Act.
For the first time in my elongated life, my work schedule allows me to be home before 5:00 p.m. (Of course, I have to arise at an unchristly hour, but that’s OK. Big, bad Bertha is nothing if not resilient.)
Therefore, I am able to watch re-runs of “Will and Grace” on Channel 36 (for all you non-cable subscribers). And, oh, what laughter has ensued. Watching these repeats from the late 1990s and early 2000s enables me to forget many things, chiefly this: My innocent notion that this funny, whimsical program was definitive of the gay lifestyle before the cast of a particularly vile Showtime porno-trash program laid waste to my naivete…)
W&G had the benefit of excellent, creative writers, a superb cast (who can forget the immortal Sean Hayes (Jack McFarland) or the deliriously funny Meagan Mullally (Karen Walker), and two delightful lead characters (Will and Grace, natch).
Debra Messing performed her role as Grace with the skill of a Jewish Lucille Ball (”Jewcy” – as her producers called her). Grace was innocent, neurotic, vulnerable, trusting, sweet, vindictive, scatter-brained, professional, you name it. She was quite a character.
And for several years, Thursday nights on NBC were sacrosanct. I was perched reverentially in front of my TV like a pre-stroke Mother Angelica praying her nightly rosary. (Of course, neither I nor any of the W&G cast compared aborting women (unfavorably) with Adolf Hitler. Kudos for us.)
I ceased watching the show in early 2004; the storylines had disintegrated, Harry Connick, Jr. and his lack of charisma marred the plot, and Jack became too implausible.
But just weeks ago, a re-run from 1999 catapulted me into such delight and laughter that I very nearly felt young again. (And there ain’t many thangs that can do that in this chick.) Moreover, I had the inestimable benefit of being able to relate to Grace’s predicament………
This particular episode concerned her latest paramour – a handsome, nice, VERY, VERY nice, New-Age nincompoop whose sensitivity was way over the top.
It was several hundred tokes over the line, as a matter of fact.
“I brought you a special pillow,” Mr. Empathy Eunuch cooed at one point. “It’s very beneficial if you’re cramping during menses.”
Fast-forward to another scene: Grace, Mr. Sensitiva and his all-too-human feminine side were in bed. “You just clench….and release….clench….and release,” Girly Garcon intoned softly. “Think of it as push-ups…..for love’s sweet flower.”
Oh, L-L-L-L-awd.
See, guys – there aint’ nothin’ wrong with being sensitive. It’s wonderful to have empathy. It’s great to be kind. But…..
If you aint’ hot – and she’s just not that into you – it becomes a cartoon. It becomes fodder for my memory to traipse back through the decades – to the fall of 1975, to be exact.
A dude from a neighboring town had fallen for me – quite fiercely, as he put it. He proudly informed all my friends that “I would be married by (high school) graduation” if I stayed with him.
Only trouble was – dude didn’t ask me first.
That’s a no-no, guys. That and the fact that he was singularly un-hot. I finally had to gently tell him I just wanted to be friends. He then went on to marry one of my school-mates – and they’re still married today with kiddies.
I hope she’s attracted to him; I wouldn’t allow more than a good-night kiss – and I remember running into the house and gagging after each one. He doesn’t deserve that, to be sure.
But Big Bertha deserves to laugh – a lot. This episode caused me to perform a somersault – sans a stitch of clothing. Thank goodness there were no hidden cameras in my apartment; if I could have thrown my voice, I could have probably proved that homosexuality is a response to a catastrophic (traumatic) event.
And then we wouldn’t have these awful Showtime sleazefests sullying up the surroundings….
The FBI has admitted it illegally obtained the phone records
Then why did they admit that it was illegal?
<iBarack Obama is no Chris Rock, but there’s one story he likes to tell on the trail that always makes me laugh. According to the Democratic nominee, there’s a particular breed of Obamaniacs who approach him after events to confess their Obamania–sotto voce. “They whisper to me,” he says. “They say, ‘Barack, I’m a Republican, but I support you.’ And I say, ‘Thank you.’” Pause. Blink. Blink again. And then: “‘Why are we whispering?’” It’s all in the delivery.
I bring this up today because they’re no longer whispering. As we speak/type/read, the Obama camp is holding a conference call with reporters to unveil “Republicans for Obama,” a branch of its operation designed to show that “Republicans are coming together in support of Senator Obama to bring change to Washington.”

Decade has had fewest 90-degree days since 1930
By Tom Skilling
August 13, 2008
August is the wettest and often the muggiest month of the year. Yet, summer heat continues in short supply, continuing a trend that has dominated much of the 21st Century’s opening decade. There have been only 162 days 90 degrees or warmer at Midway Airport over the period from 2000 to 2008. That’s by far the fewest 90-degree temperatures in the opening nine years of any decade on record here since 1930.
This summer’s highest reading to date has been just 91 degrees. That’s unusual. Since 1928, only one year—2000—has failed to record a higher warm-season temperature by Aug. 13.
Global Warming is just killing us this summer!! Not.
Measuring global warming by one season in Kansas is like measuring a child then declaring that all people are 3 feet tall.
Scientific ignorance still prevails on this forum, I’ll have to continue my pro-science posts.
“The FBI has admitted it illegally obtained the phone records of reporters for the New York Times and Washington Post in 2004. FBI Director Robert Mueller has told the papers that the FBI obtained the records for four reporters in the papers’ Indonesian bureaus apparently as part of a terrorism investigation.” — Sol
How many reporters do you suppose Fox has in Indonesia?
“How many reporters do you suppose Fox has in Indonesia?”
Given that stunning investigative report Fox did concerning Obama attending a Muslim university in Indonesia when he was six years old I would conclude that Fox has zero reporters in Indonesia.

“Measuring global warming by one season in Kansas is like measuring a child then declaring that all people are 3 feet tall.”
Ah…Maggot,
Midway Airport is in Chicago…and Chicago is NOT in Kansas.
Are you another public school graduate?
Whatever, switch Kansas with Chicago, your error is still the same. I only scan your posts since there is nothing intelligent to be found in them, as you often prove.
Have you found that scientific evidence for creationism yet?
KFG…you did not answer my simple question. How am I (or anyone else) accountable for the actions of their ancestors? The thread here seems to be that since GWs bank did business with a government that changed into a nazi regime, somehow that makes GW evil?
You claim ‘ill gotten wealth”. Any proof of that other than the voices in your head? Where is the crime?
It is a shame that a simple question can only be met with derision, insults and childish little taunts. Can anyone honestly provide a real answer?
Or is this just typical lib garbage..like capn claiming that all church shooters are “CONs”. Total hatred BS just thrown out there.
Typical.
RE: the Republicans for Obama, Sol’s 11:20:
Folks, read the rest of the link on Sol’s post. The “Republicans for Obama” are a myth – they don’t exist, at least not in any numbers to give Obama any electoral edge.
BTW, Sol, per your question. I don’t know that the FBI admitted any such thing. All you’ve linked to is a have only a webrag with an obvious agenda.
WASHINGTON – FBI Director Robert Mueller has apologized to the editors of The Washington Post and the New York Times for improperly obtaining phone records of the newspapers’ reporters while investigating terrorism four years ago.
Mueller and other FBI officials told the newspapers that agents obtained the records under a process that allowed them to bypass a grand jury review in emergency cases. The incident came to light through a review by the Justice Department’s inspector general of bureau procedures that enabled the FBI to obtain thousands of records from phone companies after the Sept. 11 attacks.
Because of possible First Amendment violations, requests for reporters’ phone records are supposed to receive an even higher level scrutiny before they can be approved — usually requiring the approval of the attorney general or other high-ranking Justice Department official

FBI Admits Obtaining Records of Reporters
The FBI has admitted it illegally obtained the phone records of reporters for the New York Times and Washington Post in 2004. FBI Director Robert Mueller has told the papers that the FBI obtained the records for four reporters in the papers’ Indonesian bureaus apparently as part of a terrorism investigation.

The FBI Admits to Spying on NYT and WaPo Reporters in 2004
The records were apparently sought as part of a terrorism investigation, but the F.B.I. did not explain what was being investigated or why the reporters’ phone records were considered relevant.
The Justice Department places a high bar on the collection of reporters’ records in investigations because of First Amendment concerns, and obtaining such records requires the approval of the deputy attorney general. That requirement was not followed when the F.B.I. obtained the records of two reporters for The Times in Indonesia, Raymond Bonner and Jane Perlez, as well as two reporters there for The Post, Ellen Nakashima and Natasha Tampubolon, officials said.

From Newsweek >>>>
**FOX is the only firm to consistently break out its results by party affiliation; it has shown Barack Obama leading John McCain overall since June.”"
Looks like GMC only accepts as documentation, those articles with which he agrees… Hmmmm that could be serious!!
“Deputy Assistant FBI Director Mike Kortan said in a statement that no investigative use was made of the reporters’ phone records, and that “safeguards are now in place that we believe would prevent this from recurring.” The records have been purged from the FBI database.”
Fox News
So, the records weren’t used, the records were purged and action has been taken to prevent future occurrences.
Let the arm flailing cease.
If a person somewhere broke into somebody else’s house, and took their underwear from their drawer, but DIDNT ACTUALLY WEAR THE UNDERWEAR…. Would it still be a crime??

Speaking of agendas
http://www.epluribusmedia.org/columns/2007/20070212_political_profiling.html
Our ongoing study of the Bush Justice Department (to be published in 2009) investigates the implications of the Bush/Ashcroft/Gonzales Justice Department’s blended religious -fundamentalist and neo-conservative rhetorical vision. The study views the impact of the Justice Department’s vision on the fight against public corruption and reveals the non-proportionate political profiling of elected Democratic officials.
We presented the preliminary data through August 2004 at the Southern Speech Communication Annual meeting in April 2005 in Baton Rouge and as a refereed panel paper with data through December 2004 at the November 2005 annual meeting of the National Communication Association.
We compare political profiling to racial profiling by presenting the results (January 2001 through December 2006) of the U.S. Attorneys’ federal investigation and/or indictment of 375 elected officials. The distribution of party affiliation of the sample is compared to the available normative data (50% Dem, 41% GOP, and 9% Ind.).
Data* indicate that the offices of the U.S. Attorneys across the nation investigate seven (7) times as many Democratic officials as they investigate Republican officials, a number that exceeds even the racial profiling of African Americans in traffic stops.
Our paper explores the role of the fourth estate and others in detecting such profiling and concludes that what is really needed is transparency, the highlights of which are noted below.
The current Bush Republican Administration appears to be the first to have engaged in political profiling. Our paper calls for new federal laws that would create a national registry of federal investigations of elected officials by party affiliation. This new, political profiling registry could well be a hybrid of the current requirement for state and local reports of racial profiling in traffic stops and the Commerce Department’s Office of Labor Management Standards’ annual report on Union corruption………

Gunman Critically Wounds Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman
By STEVE BARNES
Bill Gwatney, the chairman of the Arkansas Democratic party, was shot and critically wounded in his office in Little Rock Wednesday morning, police officials said.
The officials said a single gunman fired three shots Mr. Gwatney, a former state legislator, in his office a few blocks from the state Capitol and then drove away. The gunman was pursued by police officers and was apprehended after being shot during a lengthy chase.
KTHV-TV reported that Mr. Gwatney was hospitalized in critical condition . . .

Denver’s DNC homeless plan: It’s a crackup
By Naomi Zeveloff 07/18/2008
The New York Times is having a laugh today over Denver’s plan to provide zoo and museum passes to the homeless during the Democratic National Convention Aug. 25-28. The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless plans to secure 500 tickets for its clients so they will have somewhere safe to go during the political mayhem. But the Times’ online Laugh Lines column — made up of jokes written by readers — includes a jab at the program:
“Officials in Denver will give homeless people passes to the Denver zoo while the Democratic National Convention is in town next month,” writes reader Pedro Bartes. “That way, they won’t miss much of what’s going on inside the convention.”
“Apparently, Democrats don’t want anybody but Hillary begging for money.”
Bartes, an aspiring comedy writer in Seattle, has another joke on the Denver plan on his blog:
“Officials in Denver will give homeless people free movie tickets and zoo passes during the Democratic National convention. Democrats were afraid there were going to be many beggars around. After all, Obama has been offering change since he started the campaign.”
The Colorado Independent first reported on Denver’s plans to entertain the homeless during the DNC with museum trips and big-screen-TV convention viewing last month.

hey capn….can you verify the shooter’s party affiliation? Have you checked his voting record? No? so, this is another fantasy of yours, just like the church shooters?
How can you continually shoot off this garbage without ANY basis in fact? Maybe the chairman was “dating” the shooters wife? Maybe the shooter didn’t like the guy?
Your lies are becomming a joke…just like you.
From CNN:
“Asked about a possible motive, Lt. Hastings said, “right now, we don’t know.” The investigation is ongoing, he said”
They should ask capn…he knows all the answers. And, when he doesn’t, he just makes them up!
From what I understand, the shooter was a 51 year old white male. After the shooting, a chase ensued and he was shot, and later died. On cnn.com, it is reported that a similar individual entered a headquarters for a church organization (memory may not be totally accurate here) earlier, and stated he had just lost his job. It isn’t clear whether the two incidents are related.
On motive: who knows? The wounded chairman owned three car lots; did the shooter buy a lemon? Was his pickup going to be repossessed? Right now, the above are as probable as any other thoughts being thrown around here, or, I suspect, other internet blogging sites.
All I know is: it’s not illegal for the justice dept. to fire otherwise qualified a.g’s for political affiliation, but it may be illegal to fire the people that were hired to replace them.
It has been announced that Mr. Gwatney has died from his wounds.
Let’s use capn’s “logic” like he does, shall we?
John Hinckley shot Reagan, he must be a lib.
Squeeky Fromme tried to shoot Ford, she must be a lib.
John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln, he must be a lib.
Ergo, all libs are murderers.
That is ‘logic’ according to capn. anyone with any reason at all knows that is completely ridiculous and without any basis in facts. But…facts never have bothered capn, have they?
hey capn…I am STILL waiting on my request for proof of your idiotic comment about all church shooters being ‘CONs”.
Well the colorado shooter was a con- he was mad that he wasn’t accepted into their program. And the one earlier this year was a con- he had books and books on neocon ideas.
What kind of PROOF are you seeking, Raptor?? It would be helpful to know, so those looking, can find it for you…
Edwards WAS sexually involved with mistress when she became pregnant…SEX, MORE LIES & VIDEOTAPE
The ENQUIRER has also confirmed that Edwards secretly visited Rielle and their love child three separate times at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles this year – a fact that proves he is still lying to America and his wife.

“Well the colorado shooter was a con-”
This may not be a road you people want to go down. The prisons are filled with democrats.
Enema, we were discussing the church shootings. But if it makes you feel better to change the subject, I understand.
Box, meeting with does not equal screwing. I know that’s hard for you people to understand. I just don’t see where Edwards would have any reason to lie after confessing the affair.
And of course, we’ve got the McC*nt in waiting who ditched his sick wife with a marriage license for Cindy before the divorce was even final. Hypocrisy hypocrisy. Perhaps this is why Edwards dropped out of the race, and McC*nt still won’t answer the question on whether or not he berated his wife with derogatory names in public.
An Ohio couple leaving Tiller’s Wichita abortion mill Monday afternoon were persuaded, mainly by graphic picture of aborted babies on the Truth Truck outside, to go next door to Choices Medical Clinic, a pro-life center that offers help to pregnant women. After an ultrasound and visit with the staff physician, the couple was informed that the anomalies their 33-week pre-born baby was experiencing were correctable with surgery. Tiller’s abortion mill gave them no such information, only the option to contract an illegal post-viable killing for $15,000, for which they had paid $1000 down. (Post-viable abortions committed solely because of defects in the baby’s health are abolutely illegal in Kansas.)
George R. Tiller and his fellow greed-crazed abortionist quacks continue committing illegal post-viable abortions and coercing mothers into unwanted abortions through the denial of informed consent.
How do they continue getting away with it? Ask the Sedgwick County grand jury members who were essentially told, while being led around by the nose, that DA Foulston would have any indictments they returned thrown out.

Leo Mantei, 73, was in front of a Colorado Planned Parenthood abortion mill in July, pleading for Christ’s mercy for babies about to be slaughtered, when a father walked across the parking lot to the public sidewalk where Mr. Mantei was standing and punched his face. Mr. Mantei suffered a nose bleed and black eye, but will recover, and is back on the sidewalk. The father was arrested.
We may hope that the violent father is fully prosecuted for a civil rights violation, so that the First Amendment rights of other pro-lifers may be protected and respected.

The credibility of a new report on the mental health effects of abortion from the American Psychological Association is tarnished by the fact that the lead author, pro-abortion Brenda Major, has violated the APA’s own data sharing rules by consistently refusing to allow her own data on abortion and mental health effects to be reanalyzed by other researchers. Major even evaded a request from the Department of Health and Human Services to deliver copies of data. Major is likely attempting to avoid supporting a link previously proven by over a dozen other studies between abortion and subsequent health problems.

Nebraska abortions have dropped to the lowest annul number since 1974, following a national trend that has excluded Kansas, where mothers are attracted for illegal post-viable abortions not tolerated in the civilized parts of the USofA.
2927 abortions were committed in Nebraska in 2006, and the number of teenage mothers committing abortions, about 15% of the total, was also down. The number of Nebraska pregnancies ending in death in abortion mills is down to 10.95%, although 21.77% of the teen pregnancies end in abortion mills, owing to adoption being stigmatized.

Missouri’s legal battle to stop taxpayer funding of useless, unethical embryonic stem cell research will likely come to a head in October. That’s when a state judge will decide whether to block $21 million in public funds from going to the Life Sciences Research Board for the controversial science.
Missouri’s Amendment 2 when it narrowly passed may have already suckered voters into a ban on funding reductions for organizations that conduct useless, unethical embryonic stem cell research, forcing them to make unwanted compensating cuts in other spending.
“Enema, we were discussing the church shootings. But if it makes you feel better to change the subject, I understand.”

I wonder how many people on this Earth are qualified to wipe old peoples asses after they crap themselves. You think it may be a zillion?
$9 per hour is too much.
GMC, wouldn’t phone records be the property of phone company. So if a government agency wanted to see the records they would need a subpoena or a warrant? A trial I was a juror on had phone records as a Key piece of evidence and the WPD detectives had to get subpoenas for those.
That must’ve been in the pre-bush era, after 9/11 ‘everything changed’.
Looks like political pressure was applied to get a ’sexy terrorist’ trial before Nov. elections. Cons. have no shame!

What anomalies- plural. And you’re going to try to say that x number of doctors didn’t tell them this? Please. I’m sure the ‘educators’ at your facility were far more trained than the professional docs who gave them the OK for an abortion. RIGGHHT. Perhaps someone should tell them that you’re exploiting them here and that you lie like a rug. I suppose they’ll go through with the abortion.
As far as the father- I hope that the emotional distress laws that got Fred Phelps in hot water will protect him- you only tell half the story of how your ’stellar sidewalk psychos’ spew hate at these people in an emotional time.
The research…oh you mean that you want YOUR researchers to analyze her work. Yeah we know how that will turn out. No bias there. The experts can’t write a paper without you all trying to discredit it.
For the NE stats….yeah because they’re traveling out of state nimrod. You won’t stop abortion, just make it far more difficult. Closing clinics does not end abortion. Changing laws won’t end abortion.

Ah good to know enema is stalking me. Hey enema, healthcare is more than wiping old people’s ‘asses’. You’d better be careful, you could experience Karma and be paralyzed in a car accident tomorrow. And then you can tell your caregivers just how lowly you think of them.
There is FAR more to healthcare than that. You have to be able to assess, to provide comfort and social services, physical labor, and know how to react in an emergency, idiot. Perhaps when you watch a loved one die and their care is crappy, you’ll get it.
On “Law and Order” they just ask for the phone records and they get them. They trace those people following their cell phones.
“The prisons are filled with democrats.”
Got anything to back that up. Prisoners are not usually allowed to vote, in case you did not know.
The president’s party affiliation is more strongly correlated with increases in prison population than is the state crime rate, minority population size and other variables.
Incarceration is political.

“The War Is Over”
“Yesterday, author Bing West, a former assistant secretary of defense and combat Marine, wrote an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal entitled, “The War In Iraq Is Over; What Next?” Here are some excerpts of is his excellent analysis of the situation in Iraq today and the next decision that confronts America”:
“The war I witnessed for more than five years in Iraq is over. In July, there were five American fatalities in Iraq, the lowest since the war began in March 2003. …For the first time in 15 trips across the country, I didn’t hear one shot or a single blast from a roadside bomb. In Anbar Province, scene of the fiercest fighting during the war, the tribal sheiks insisted … that the U.S. Marines had to stay because they were the most trusted force. …
“Gen. David Petraeus is squeezing the life out of al Qaeda in Iraq. The mafia-style militia of Sadr has been splintered. …Al Qaeda fought to make Iraq its base in the Arab Middle East. Instead, it is being hunted down. …Yet the progress in Iraq is most threatened by a political promise in the U.S. to remove all American combat brigades, against the advice of our military commanders.
“With victory in sight, why would we quit? …The problem is not American force levels in Iraq. It is divisiveness at home. While our military has adapted, our society has disconnected from its martial values. I was standing beside an Iraqi colonel one day in war-torn Fallujah when a tough Marine patrol walked by. ‘You Americans,’ he said, ‘are the strongest tribe.’…
“Over the course of more than five hard years, our troops have brought stability and freedom to 25 million Iraqis, while crushing al Qaeda in Iraq. Regardless of disagreement about initiating the war back in 2003, Americans should unite to applaud the success of our troops in 2008.
“A stable Iraq keeps faith with the million American soldiers who fought there, sets back Iran’s aggression, and makes our enemies in Afghanistan and elsewhere fear us. It’s time we stopped debating about yesterday and displayed national pride in our soldiers.”
1. Rush Limbaugh: “I tell people don’t kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus – living fossils – so we will never forget what these people stood for.”
2. Senator Phil Gramm: “We’re going to keep building the party until we’re hunting Democrats with dogs.”
3. Rep. James Hansen on Bill Clinton: Get rid of the guy. Impreach him, censure him, assassinate him.”
4. John Derbyshire intimated in the National Review that because Chelsea Clinton had “the taint,” she should “be killed.”
5. Ann Coulter: “We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed, too.”
6. Ann Coulter: “My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building.”
7. Bill O’Reilly: “ll those clowns over at the liberal radio network, we could incarcerate them immediately. Will you have that done, please? Send over the FBI and just put them in chains.”
8. Clear Channel radio host Glenn Beck said he was “thinking about killing Michael Moore” and pondered whether “I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it,” before concluding: “No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out — is this wrong?”
That’s just SOME of the spewed filth of the hundreds of incidents where they’ve advocated violence towards liberals/Democrats, and these are just SOME of the better known repubs doing it – there’s hundreds smaller swine of the GOP who’ve said the same.
Here’s some other hate -
Mel Gibson on Frank Rich: “I want to kill him. I want his entrails on a stick. I want to kill his dog.”
Fresno City Council Member Jerry Duncan in 2003 wrote in an email that police should “Cap” members of the Human Relations Commission and wrote, “If I had one dirty bomb and I could eliminate all the liberals in Fresno at once.” When his comments became public, Duncan said “The response I have gotten from the public on this has been 100% supportive.”
Boxlock–
The warring factions in Iraq are saving their ammo for when we leave . . .
Then be better carefully consider leaving Capn…or has that simple concept not occurred to you.
So the purpose of your stupid list of real and made up conservative insults is what, CapnAmerica?
Do you not think that anyone here could pull up a list of liberal hate speech and post in in about 30 seconds that are just as or more offensive? What does that kind of crap accomplish?
If you are trying to prove yourself superior, it ain’t workin’. It definitely ain’t workin’.
I’m on record since 2003 my firm belief that Iraq will devolve into a blood bath when US troops leave, whether we leave tomorrow, next month, next year, or a hundred years from now.
The Sunis, Shi’ites, and Kurds will kill each other when given a chance. They always have. They always will.
“outlander” challenges –

I, for one, don’t think you can.
This will post at 7:46 or so.

Only the dense amongst us thinks that we can change centuries of culture in a few years. Sociology should be a required course for presidents’ resumes.
If those civilians that resisted us in Afghanistan and Iraq are terrorist that should be tortured tried and hung, it stands to reason that the British would’ve been justified in doing the same to America’s minutemen.
And, on top of that, America was even their colony!
Boxlock — Even the leaders in Iraq want us to issue a time line for withdrawal… And they seem to want it NOW…
Nicely done, “outlander” –

No, No, No, CapnAmerica,
The question was:
What proof do you have that this man who shot the Democrat was a Conservative or that it was politically motivated?
“Nathaniel” whines –
“What proof do you have that this man who shot the Democrat was a Conservative or that it was politically motivated?
Guy walks into Democratic Headquarters and pumps three slugs into the state Democratic chairman.
You know… an accident.
(Or maybe it was justified, boy. Maybe Gwatney hurt the guy’s dog.)
Chas,
With all due respect intended, and I don’t mean to further insult you by saying that,….oh, there I go again not being nice. And, unbelievably you almost sound like a genuine conversationalist in your above post me. Sorry, just reflexive I guess.
You are, I am sure, correct. I mean who wants another country’s military presence in their own land. But we must also look out for what is in our best interest as well as theirs, as they certainly are not going to be thinking of that. In fact they may not have a good grasp of what is good for them ultimately right now. I know that sounds presumptuous to make decisions on their behalf, but look at the history of the area. They have made very poor decisions historically. They must have a stable and secure government in place before we totally leave.
Ya know, it’s kind of like raising a child in the since that the government is immature now but developing. You don’t leave them to themselves to early, and you have to know when to start let go. BUT, it’s not an overnight thing…it is gradual.
MonkeyHawk,
So, you don’t have any proof either then?
Ok.
McCain: “Congress: Get Back To Work!!”
It was only five days earlier, on July 30, that the Senate was voting for the eighth time in the past year on a broad, vitally important bill — S. 3335 — that would have extended the investment tax credits for installing solar energy and the production tax credits for building wind turbines and other energy-efficiency systems.
Both the wind and solar industries depend on these credits — which expire in December — to scale their businesses and become competitive with coal, oil and natural gas. Unlike offshore drilling, these credits could have an immediate impact on America’s energy profile.
“Senator McCain did not show up for the crucial vote on July 30, and the renewable energy bill was defeated for the eighth time. In fact, John McCain has a perfect record on this renewable energy legislation. He has missed all eight votes over the last year — which effectively counts as a no vote each time. Once, he was even in the Senate and wouldn’t leave his office to vote.“
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/13/opinion/13friedman.html?hp
You know that McCain is old and he needs his naps. Running a campaign requires too much energy for him to do two jobs at once.
“Nathaniel” –
You realize you’re running to the defense of a cold-blooded killer, don’t you?
And only because his victim was a Democrat.
Y’know. Justifiable homicide.
MonkeyHawk,
Nothing I have posted has been in defense of the killer. Nothing.
So, No, I don’t realize how I am running to the defense of a cold-blooded killer.
My question was, to CapnAmerica, how does he know the political affiliation of the killer and that he was a Conservative?
I am concerned the War On Terror has become a victim of the bash Bush and Republicans dogma.
Let’s agree for a moment Bush could have done things differently. He is short. Only five months to go (and yes, thank gawd).
But I am still seeing signs that there is a large segment of the world, many muslim, who have dedicated their lives to “death of America”. Not trying to be overly dramatic (most here won’t see the threat as they nuke popcorn, play video games, and watch the olympics).
But consider this: Here is a highly educated young woman. She went to MIT got a degree, experienced the “freedom” and “abundance” of American life. Yet she still believes we are the Satan – and despite the restrictions Muslim life puts on women: Is willing to die to kill us.
Doesn’t this bother any of the libs? Will this all magically “go away” when Obama is installed?
This is not 911. This is July 17th, 2008. Not a one time act of a madman.
“NEW YORK — An MIT-educated Pakistani woman charged with trying to kill U.S. agents and military officers in Afghanistan allegedly carried a list of New York City targets — including the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and the subway system, NY1.com reported on Wednesday.” (AP)
Keep telling us it wasn’t political, boy.
Keep believing that.
Nothing matters except that which you believe.
“You know that McCain is old and he needs his naps.”
Scientific evidence suggests that taking a nap during the day increases productivity and alertness of human beings. This fits science like a hand in a glove.
Naps are a good thing. Besides, maybe if Bill Clinton had taken a nap, instead of engaging in oral sex with Monica, we would have avoided an embarrassing episode in American elementary schools.
Chas…I am just asking capn to back up his wild imagination when he claimed a week and a half ago how all church shooters are “CONs”..or as he wrote today about the shooter being a con. He has no proof, he has no backup, and he can’t support those stupid hate statements.
Of course, he does come out with lots of hate speech to justify his..but he never, ever has addressed my questions. He makes outlandish statements and expects us to believe them…because he said so, I guess.
No backup. No verification, and no facts. Just his hateful imagination.
MonkeyHawk,
I have not told you or anyone here that it was not political.
I simply asked CapnAmerica a question. A question which he has not answered and you seem unable to understand.
No one here gives a shit that 35 year old MIT educated women – are willing to give their lives to KILL Americans.
It is much more exciting to attack Nathan on some moronic word game. This is what matters in America today.
What a freaking joke the democrats are.
Amway you act as if libs are just going to throw up our hands on the terrorism thing and sing Kumbaya. Aint going to happen. We want to focus on the real threats to America- not the bs.
Bill Clinton could get a bj every day from a different woman for all I care if we could exchange our time of prosperity and peace for what we have now.
Apparently the alternative energy people don’t contribute to mccain like the oil people do, or he wouldn’t of missed the votes.
boycott –
GM is a sponsor of Rush Limbaugh (sleaziest guy in America but no wonder look at who is audience is)— no wonder GM is a sponsor they build crap cars any way .. hope they sell less and less —-
as is Carbonite a internet file security product — boycott
more to follow —- he should get the same treatment boycotts that Imus got
we would have avoided an embarrassing episode in American elementary schools.
ok there’s aproblem in elementary schools with oral sex ? and you want to blame clinton ? how about mom and dad ?
Boycott hell.
We need the Fairness Doctrine.

Limbaugh: “Edwards might be attracted to a woman whose mouth did something other than talk”
On the August 12 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh said of former Sen. John Edwards’ recent disclosure of an extramarital affair: “I’ve got a theory about the motivations. Well, I don’t know that I could — I don’t know that I can put this one on the air.” Discussing his “theory,” Limbaugh said, “We know — we’ve been told that Elizabeth Edwards is smarter than John Edwards. That’s part of the puff pieces on them that we’ve seen. Ergo, if Elizabeth Edwards is smarter than John Edwards, is it likely that she thinks she knows better than he does what his speeches ought to contain and what kind of things he ought to be doing strategy-wise in the campaign? If she is smarter than he is, could it have been her decision to keep going with the campaign? In other words, could it be that she doesn’t shut up? Now, that’s as far as I’m going to go.” Limbaugh later added, “It just seems to me that Edwards might be attracted to a woman whose mouth did something other than talk.” Limbaugh went on to say in a subsequent segment: “my theory that I just explained to you about why — you know, what could have John Edwards’ motivations been to have the affair with Rielle Hunter, given his wife is smarter than he is and probably nagging him a lot about doing this, and he found somebody that did something with her mouth other than talk.”
And this from their great hero.
We can NOT work with these people. They are not human.
I’m proud of Wichita for women’s equality!

Waa waaa!! BlueJay, don’t act offended! You lib jackasses say far worse than that on this blog. You want censorship of the opposition, that is all you want, you can’t handle competition.
How you doin’ Political C*nt?
The fairness doctrine would not affect Limpballs. But he does need to be removed from the seat. it makes me sick that people listen to this guy. Hank- you’re a real POS for supporting this jerk.
Nathaniel
Are you really a Marine? I am still waiting patiently for the correspondence from Reverend Mr. Chas, but I am starting to wonder about your well being.
Why are you tripping over mouse turds with those less than honorable intentions?
Jonah was in the belly of a whale, so why are you associating and carrying-on nit-picking battles with those lower than the whale?
As some of the Marines I have had the priviledge of knowing say, “It ain’t shit”, “don’t sweat the little shit”.
Pick your battles. Remember the best defense is…..
At present, you are caught in a fatal funnel.
I think what some of the Marines from the sandbox said that with today’s US military technology, the key was NOT to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver, but
rather what follows………………..
Remember: “Retreat hell…………”
Alas, I predicted the Repub. ire would be turned on the victim.

P.M., most people don’t want to hear liberal conspiracy theories and constant “poor ole me” Bullshite. Sorry that crap doesn’t fly with most Americans. I am sorry you are so resentful of others hard work and success. It is really sad that you are so helpless.
Sometimes an RPK is better than a M240.
These guys are fishing. They all have poles out with bobbers. They are standing close together in a tight group. The bait on their hooks varies, but they all have one purpose.
Does the fish take the bait hook, line, and sinker?
Or focus on the tight group?
Their joy is when the fish takes the bait.
Remember what someone of a high pay grade once said said, “……………. but I will make you fisherman of men.”
You KNOW the funnel is there. You KNOW the trap it presents.
Why the freak do you keep walking into it?
Mean what you say and say what you mean. Leave it at that.
You do better to threaten boycott on the local sponsors of con radio.
Everything else is no joy.
Sometimes even a numbered beach is covered by interlocking fields of fire.
I bet you will make one hell of an impact BJ…Idiot! You are not the target audience, why do you think you will affect listenership?
Lewis Black’s next show will pit PETA vs the NRA. Sure to be hillarious.
The number of listeners drives marketing.

I love myself, I love this country, I love life, and I am thankful for the opportunities that can be opened up to me (and have) if I work hard. I never take for granted the things in this life. You should try that some time.
Yay, a perpetual war advoacy group! Tell you what, how about only the members of that group fight the Iraq war and send all the others elswehere.
Oh and your families can pay for it too.
Lewis Black describes his political affiliation as such: “I’m a socialist, so that puts me totally outside any concept …”
LOL lot lizard. I really irked enema today, I think I’ve figured out who anti is.

Lewis Black is my favorite comedian. Its not like he’s out there promoting socialism, just pointing out the absurdity of what is going on in the world today.
He reminds me so much of the message boards.

I know, I think he is funny too. I thought it was just interesting that he considered himself a socialist.
I’m always away from my house, I guess that shows how much you know.
Or stay and argue with a handful of idiots from a small pond. 1-2-3 forever sir!
Don’t think so political mama.
“ANTI” started posting as “ANTI J R”.
I’m pretty sure I know who she is. And as long as she is content to post in one or two sentence posts and nip at ankles I think I’ll let her vent.

And you’re still “ANTI J R” sweets.
HEHEHEHE
Dearest P-Mom
I love Rush! He actually called me in 1992, about a book I was pushing at the time.
I love him because he gets nitwits like you and BJ’s panties in a wad.
I listen a lot to all kinds of radio, even Air America. I have absolutely no hate or animus toward any of them. I wouldn’t listen to anything that made me mad.
You call me a POS? Think about it girl, you are letting someone else get into your head. Take a break from BLOGing for a week or two, get control of yourself.

So.
““The war I witnessed for more than five years in Iraq is over. …”
Well I don’t know about that.
I DO know that the right made much the other day of how a roadside bomb just about got Oliver North.
Now think about that. Oliver North was nearly killed by a roadside bomb.
This means even the celebrity VIP sectors aint safe.
Nope. You said yourself that you love Rush. Glad know what kind of person you really are.
Rush: an American success story.
His show is insightful, educating, entertaining….and damned funny.
I listen most every day.
Political_mama,
Are you just now figuring out that my father and I love Rush Limbaugh?
I thought that was pretty obvious since the first day we started posting here.
Like I said before, the libs are scared of Rush. It is that simple.
If you listen to most any recording of the “Justice Brothers” on Rush…and don’t laugh. You have no sense of humor.
“Barack the Magic Negro” – hilarious.
“Are you just now figuring out that my father and I love Rush Limbaugh?”
If you and Dad want to consummate that love?
I understand that Rush is kinda disposed that way.
How’s the strike going BJ? You going to get a little more added to your pension?
I expect it from you neanderthal man testicle. I expect it from Nathan. I really hoped Hank wasn’t in the same category.
You expect it, Pee?
I’ve made it clear for years that I like Rush.
Dear P-Mom,
There is not a week that goes by that you aren’t more profane than anything on the radio. Plus, you’re not funny.
You encourage and defend all the profanity of you little liberal friends on this BLOG, you can give me Rush.
bitter old nitwit
Why because I repeat what republicans say? That makes me profane? There is no help for you people.
I hope that Obama’s political movement proves so incredibly successful that all of you are discredited so extremely worse than you already are that you’re in the same category as Phred Phelps…with as much political clout.
Old?
I met political mama at a meetup with you and the goofnut in attendance. At the Eagle?
Based on previous encounters, I preferred to avoid you Hank.
I also avoided the goofnut.
Since I really did not care to know him better?
If memory serves, you were the cootster in attendance.
I hope that Obama’s political movement proves so incredibly successful that all of you are discredited so extremely worse than you already are that you’re in the same category as Phred Phelps…with as much political clout.
——–
Perhaps Political Mama you would like to put us in special camps…..with large ovens.
No, just marginalized to the point where you can do no more harm to the country.
Hank calling me old…yeah.
Senility- must be. Perhaps it is herediary. Nathan can’t remember Rush being hateful and Hank thinks I’m old.
With all these personal questions…
Pee, how’s the effort to quit smoking going? I remember 3 years ago you were going to quit when you were “ready.”
After 3 years, are you ready yet?
So Political Mama, you want to restrict our speech.
HEHEHE
Seems junior doesn’t want to talk about his pension. After the shit he’s given me over the years about mine I guess he’s a little embarrassed to be found out as the hypocrite he is!
How much you you get a month, junior?
hypocrite
That’s ‘bitter old nitwit’. If the old bothers you, I’ll drop it.
bitter profane nitwit
I used the chantix with my tax return and attempted to quit smoking last week. I could give you my psychology about the whole ordeal, but I don’t want to leave myself exposed for you to jab darts into.
How is marginalizing your opinion restricting your speech?
You can scream it from the rooftop, people will still look at you like you’re a loon.
How idiotic would you like to look Hank?
I of course get no pension at all until I am 65.
Oh and by the way?
I’m not junior to you in any way save age.
Oh yeah, I forgot. You said you have the “smoking gene.”
I’m shocked that you’re not an MD, Pee.

——-
How are you going to ” marginalize” without restricting?
Just wondering, junior. You mentioned the other day that you hoped the strikers would increase your pension. Just wondering what you have ever done to earn a pension.
Oh, and by the way,
I’ll never look idiotic while you’re around.
junior.
Perhaps you need the definition of ‘marginalize’ anti:
To relegate or confine to a lower or outer limit or edge, as of social standing.
How are you going to ” marginalize”?
Perhaps you should answer the question Political Mama.
“Junior”
A corruption on J R.
And Hank was not bright enough to come up with it. In more than a year of visceral fighting.
No he borrowed that from the blogs dumbest poster fleetwood.
Hell maybe he IS fleetwood.
It’s not my side switching nics.
Kept man.
Your opinion would merely be insignificant. Because all that you stand for would have been soundly discredited. It should be now- but apparently there are a lot of dumb people out there who can’t figure out that the reason we’re in the mess we are is because of your policies and beliefs.
Are you going to confine us? In a camp? With ovens?
Maybe you are the dumb one, you just are to dumb to realize it. The majority of mentally stable people is on our side. Is that why you hate talk radio?
Let’s have your usual nic here “ANTI”.

I think I have been doing that for some time now.
Apparently you’re the stupid one because you keep trying to tie being marginalized for your opinion having no weight to being physically restrained in some form.
no, you are not the majority. I’m sorry that you are unarmed in the battle of the minds. I can’t help you if you can’t even keep up with the discussion.
