All of the Clinton sore-loser-part jumpers who are voting for McCain are only doing so for one of two reasons: they like the way the economy, education, health care, etc. has been the past eight years OR they are simply being spiteful because Hillary did not WIN the nomination. Either way, they'll be the ones complaining about everything if McBush is elected. Actually, I feel sorry for them. It also shows that they were not really supporters of Hillary, either....they are/were confused and thought they were voting for Bill again. YEAH, I SAID IT!!!

The Democratic National Convention rolls on, and evidently more than a few anti-abortion activists are rockin' and rollin' along with it.

This morning, I observed a video statement from a young woman who survived a second-trimester abortion. How could I fail to be moved by this? I would ask.

I am hardly an uncaring woman, nor a stupid one.

However, I fail to understand how Obama is the villain here. He did not force this young lady's parents to initially choose abortion; moreover, he did not preclude her survival. I know of no pro-choice individual who would say, "She shouldn't have lived; her life is meaningless."

Traversing my sights downward, I also observed a heartwarming picture of a former nurse who deemed aborting women "wimps" on her delightful blog some months back. I could be mean; I could be critical; hell, I could be downright truthful, but I'll take the high road. I'll be true to my gender. I'll turn over a new fig leaf (if she will).

Let me close with this, though: Some months back, a young lady who evidently escaped being a late-term abortion at Dr. Tiller's Clinic and her self-sacrificing mother visited Wichita. On that day, I happened to drive by the Clinic, as I realized I had lived here for 3 years and had never done so.

Two days later, I realized I had briefly locked eyes with this beautiful young woman. She and her mother had been stationed outside the Clinic that day.

For a myriad of reasons, obviously, I was moved by this. However, if I had seen some former medical practitioner carrying a sign proclaiming me and millions of others "wimps" - I'd have backed up me hooptie and fled the scene. And I'd never have seen a lovely young lady and been moved by her story.

Note to anti-abortion activists: You'll accomplish far more by these sorts of insights than dumb-a$$ insults. Besides, Big Bertha's no wimp. I don't think Jilly could have done what I did two months ago.

She wouldn't have had the ova-cojones.

And that's my salvo for today...............

Heeheehee. Obama now lied about where he was??? LOL. He said he was in Kansas City - twice! I heard it with my own ears!!! LOL He did not say Saint Louis!

What weird near parallel universe does that guy live in?"

"Anyone who travels as much as Obama does can get confused about where they are on any given night, and Obama is no exception. He mistakenly said he had watched the speech at the home of a St. Louis family — despite the cue card affixed to the camera as a reminder that he was actually 230 miles away in Kansas City, Mo., where had scheduled a campaign appearance Tuesday.

Sensing the flub, 7-year-old Sasha apparently was prompted to ask: "Daddy, what city are you in?"

"I'm in Kansas City, sweetie."
----
You libs would be calling McCain "senile" if he did this, admit it!

Notice, blog readers.

The left says that I am lying.

However, not even once, has anyone shown us that anything I said is not true.

This is a Blog. OF COURSE there are circumstances, "nuance" and context to be taken into account. Of COURSE there are two sides to every story.

However? Liberals do not try to tell "their side" of the story, since they have no factual defense.

Instead, they call me names and call me a "liar" never being specific about that charge.

Linda
Dim Wit, lol
"Rules for Radicals" the book that Steven has decided to read, is a LIBERAL book.
Author Saul Alinsky taught COMMUNISTS how to "organize" the masses.
Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama and other Democrats have studied the Alinsky method and used it.
Yes, the book that Steven is going to read is
"propaganda" but it is extreme LIBERAL propaganda.

An "neighborhood organizers" job is to, "rub raw the resentments of the group" --- Saul Alinsky, hero of Obama.

Ya, that will bring us all together!

Tonight, Hillary Clinton will teach the party what you all missed - by throwing her to the wolves. Had we counted all states votes, we would be having 8 more years of prosperity under another experienced and politically savy Clinton.

Hillary with Bill at her side will remind you ALL of what we once had, and could have had again.

Instead of substance you went with style. Instead of experience in dealing with politicians, world leaders, and the American people, you went with a Chicago hoodlum.

Just listen to Hillary. She will try to heal the wound, but listen carefully to what could have been.

Still can if the delegates stand with her and we count fifty states - not forty-eight.

Wow, paulie really put on a show last night? Was it the start of the convention that sent him into convulsions? Poodle dancing at it's finest.

"You guys save us lots of money.
I just post to see what works, and pass along the results and information."

heheheheheh. HEE HEE HEEE. Does anyone really think paulie ever reports back to wingnut central and says "they laughed my ass outa the blog. They laughed so hard they couldnt type"?

Naaaaawwww. Even paulie cant take that much humiliation. "Yes masters, I tried, but they ignored me or laughed at me. Please sent me more test material."

Ya know, the good news is, if the laughable stuff paulie posts is the best the 'pukes can do?

Say hello to President Obama.

Pre, The story of your college dorm experience and the differences in where we are today proves understanding is the key. Wars, riots, unease and unrest of all kinds are due to LACK OF understanding. Good to live in the age of enlightenment, isn't it!?

Looks like Steven is on a mission to gain even more understanding! It will be a sacrifice to read that propaganda. I will look forward to what you have to share, Steven.

Thanks to Paul F. Rosell, I will be checking out this book today:

http://libcat.wichita.edu/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?Search_Arg=rules+for+radicals&Search_Code=TALL&PID=7jDID6z_2qu_2TN-Ow8gMx1s&SEQ=20080826075936&CNT=30&HIST=1

I will have to quote from it liberally, here. I expect it will have the same effect as pouring holy water upon the living dead. In other words, I expect Rosell to smoke, shriek, and curl up & die. It will be worth the investment in time.

Sebelius used our Kansas Tax Money to assist in a National Race. We have to suffer so she can party and vacation. Obama, is weak and Biden refuses to address issues. He only follow insych with stupidity. McCain has the backbone and balls to help us. I am a Democrat, yet I will be voting for McCain. Herbert West 3rd, Candidate for Sheriff, Miami County Kansas. Yea, I was threatened and they said that I needed shot twice because of my size. They further stated, leave the race. Sheriff Kelly and Under-Sheriff Schmidt condones this and has ordered the Deputies not to follow up on report #2008-2227 or they would be fired.
Reading Franklin's comments and Texas GOP link, I am once again, as I always am when I read this tool's posts, of Harry Frankfurt's definition of a bullsh*tter.

"Both he (the bullsh*tter) and the liar represent themselves falsely as endeavoring to communicate the truth. The success of each depends upon deceiving us about that. But the fact about himself that the liar hides is that he is attempting to lead us away from a correct apprehension of reality; we are not to know that he wants us to believe something he supposes to be false. The fact about himself that the bullsh*tter hides, on the other hand, is that the truth-values of his statements are of no central interest to him; what we are not to understand is that his intention is neither to report the truth nor co conceal it. This does not mean that his speech is anarchically impulsive, but that the motive guiding and controlling it is unconcerned with how the thing about which he speaks truly are."

Frankfurt's brilliant essay, which was published as a short book, can be found here. I think it is extremely important for anyone who wants truly honest discourse to read, regardless of their political orientation.

The merits are unimportant. The result is all that matters (tear down the liberal/Democrat, in this case Barack Obama, by any means necessary, with whatever you can come up with).

"Senator John McCain could never convince me to vote for him. Only Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama can cause me to vote for McCain, which I will do.

"Those that vote for Barack Obama are Liberals.

Opening, content free, reflexive flame utterly free of any real thought or merit. Way to kick off the thread, Boxlock.

How, exactly, did Michelle prove that she is not a radical?
In fact, Michelle said very little about Barrack.
Michelle had to fix MICHELLE, and I think she kinda did that, with limited success.
I will admit that.
However, Michelle Obama is a radical, a radical trying hard to cover up that fact.

This from mr radical, who quotes such tinfoil site as texas republicans, the same tinfoil group who gave us bush, the worst president ever.
In the fall of 1969 I was attending Kansas State College of Pittsburg, now known as Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS. Just into the first month, after a protest in front of the Administration Building, which ended in the burning of the College's President in effigy, a riot broke out. The African-American/Black population of the school was demanding their own Student Union.

A kid on the other side of the campus was stabbed in the leg while in the shower. A group of black girls tried to catch and light fires to anything in our dorm that would burn. Being made of concrete, there wasn't much to burn except bulletin boards, curtains, and a few throw rugs. They came down our hallway screaming curses about "whitey" and flooded our floor with water. I remember one of them banging on our dorm room door, yelling, "Come on out, white girl, and get yours!" They hit the girl in the next room with a broom when she dared poke her head out the door and try to speak to them. There was only a small mention in the Eagle/Beacon about the riot, but being there was frightening for a small town girl like me. I wondered at the time if I would forever fear blacks.

40 years later, I'm speechless as I watch how far we have come since that late September evening. I watch as our country readies itself to nominate the first "black" (half white) man for President of the United States, and I am bursting with wonder.

It would be stupid for Michelle or Barak Obama to ignore their race and dance around it. They lived the undoing of the dehumanization of being black and all its ugliness. If alluding to it is playing the race card, there are some sick, twisted individuals out there who need to get a life.

We are all God's children, are we not?

"Red and yellow, black and white, we are precious in his sight..."

There was one moment of her speech where I thought Michelle could have nailed the coffin of the Republicans shut.

"That is why I love this country."

If only she had then said, "That is why I REALLY love this country."

Anybody want to see that quote that's been chopped to death?

As I watched Michelle Obama speak tonight, there were two thoughts that kept going through my mind. The first was the emotional appeal for change in a country going down the tubes for the ordinary person and the response of those in the audience. The word was HOPE, but I don't recall hearing her use it. It could be seen in the people listening and watching her, the glistening of tearing eyes. (Mine included.) The essence of my thought was just what were the Republicans going to talk about at THEIR convention? They offer no hope, only more of the same. Lost jobs, gas prices, lost homes, lost lives in a war that shouldn't have been. What do they have left? I asked a friend. She said, "Fear. That's still all they have going for them." I told her people had tired of the Fear card. I won't go into the reasons why.

The second thought was very simple as I watched Michelle's passion reach into the crowd, multiply and grow.

Hell they tossed you aside paulie. It's a hallmark of the con movement. They use people and then throw them away.

What they toss you a few coins to post here?

Nobody pays me. I take out such as you as a matter of civic duty.
