Teens getting message on smoking?

smoketeenIt should worry adults that the percentage of teenagers who smoke leveled off between 2003 and 2007, after earlier years of steady decline in tobacco use, according to a new study of data by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Are teens not getting the message about the health risks of smoking? Maybe not, according to health experts, who say many states have scaled back high-profile anti-smoking campaigns aimed at youths that have proved very effective in reducing smoking.

Meanwhile, “The tobacco industry never stopped promoting its products,” said Terry Pechacek of the CDC. “They have increased their effort and maintained a very active effort to promote tobacco while prevention efforts have lost funding.”

    Who needs healthy lungs when it’s more imortant to look cool? Teenage behavior is the only thing that stays consistant through the generations.

    Teenage smoking is still in style. In my neighborhood it seems like most teens smoke both cigarettes and pot.

    Smoking decreases a life span an average of 5 years. Centering a life on sodomy, however, decreases a life expectancy by 8 to 20 years, yet the ACLU is still forcing sodomy clubs into public schools.
    Some day, they’ll get sued by a bunch of young men with gay bowel syndrome, syphillis, and AIDS.

    Actually the most serious and prevalant heath hazard to gay people has been religious assholes like you. I’ve lost more gay friends to christian bigotry than any other disease.
