John McCain’s latest ad, airing in 11 battleground states and nationally on cable, casts doubt on Barack Obama’s foreign policy credentials and ends with the line “McCain, country first.” (Is the implication that Obama puts terrorists, party, race or himself first?) It also seems a bit strange to turn out an ad including the line that Obama “hasn’t been to Iraq in years” just as Obama is going to Iraq.

I would expect someone who hates right and supports wrong to make a post like this.
Because Churchhill and Roosevelt didn’t go to France then D-Day wouldn’t be a success?
What the ad doesn’t mention is that McCain has a worse meeting record than Obama regarding Afghanistan:

Yup, McCain, despite being on the Senate Armed Service Committee, attended zero meetings, unlike Obama who attended some meetings.

I detect some weasel counting here Cuz.
If McCain was on the Senate Armed Service Committee, he couldn’t help from hearing about Afghanistan, seeing reports or putting together legislation for the military.
As far as the topic goes, Obama’s past is coming back to haunt him. Voters will find out what he’s hasn’t done in the past and it will be his downfall.
Don’t count on it. McCain’s past IS his downfall. Obama is too smart to think he can and will get elected, only to do nothing. That’s just dumb.
The Senate Armed Service Committee are notoriously rubbish. European (or French) roulette wheels have legislation with only a single 0.
McCain has yet to serve up a teaspoonful of sense. He’s almost as incoherent as Dubya. The only difference is, McCain doesn’t make up new words as he goes along, just new nonsense. As a human, he’s about as exciting as a prune.
Is this all the Republican party can come up with?
“It also seems a bit strange to turn out an ad including the line that Obama “hasn’t been to Iraq in years” just as Obama is going to Iraq.”
Just because Barack Hussein Obama is only now going to Iraq does not change the fact that he “hasn’t been to Iraq in years”. The voters should know.
Yeah and while everyone waits for Obama to make a gaffe, McCain talks about how Pakistan’s border with Iraq needs addressed. Uhhh…
Or perhaps that’s the plan is to turn the whole region into one big Iraq so that he can’t get all that geography so confused anymore.
No stranger than this timing:
———
“Provide de minimis assistance to the candidate with logistical arrangements,” said the cable, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times. “If the campaign staff wants to rent a bus for press, tell them where they can rent a bus.”
Mr. McCain, Arizona Republican, traveled to Europe and the Middle East more than four months earlier than Mr. Obama, but the State Department did not issue special instructions for overseas missions because during that trip he led an official congressional delegation, officials said.

If Obama DID make another gaffee, it won’t be covered.
Even Andrea Mitchell thinks Obama’s overseas trip was far too “fake” and staged:

Barak Obama must have been scrambling to get to Iraq. Can you imagine how panicked his advisors must have been when they found out about the ad McCain was coming out with.
It amazes me how you liberal democrats always turn things around. You really think the average intelligent person is going to believe that his trip to Iraq happened first. Let’s get serious, how many times did he tell us that he voted against the war. He didn’t go there to support the troops, he went there for the sake of his political career.
Even when a liar tells the truth, no one believes him. You would be surprised how many of the intelligent Americans out there do NOT believe the MSM or the dem libs lies. Wake up!!!
If Obama DID make another gaffee, it won’t be covered. Even Andrea Mitchell thinks Obama’s overseas trip was far too “fake” and staged:
I don’t particularly trust “Newsbusters” but–for once–Paul may have stumbled across something with a whiff of legitimacy.
I say a whiff because, however stage-managed the press coverage might be, you can’t stage-manage foreign leaders. . .
Rage, if you’re talking about Maliki. What he said was that when things were ok on the ground, he would support a troop withdrawal. He has been saying that all along with President Bush.
As you notice, “when things are right on the ground” comes first. You don’t talk about withdrawing until you have accomplished your goal. Just in case everyone forgot, we left the Iraqis once and the terrorists just returned to annilate them. We DON’T want that to happen again.
War is not a game. You just don’t say, oh by the way we are tired of playing now. Okay everyone let’s all stop together. Boy, the terrorists must think us all fools to believe that. Famous line from Stephen King’s Carrie “They are laughing at you”
War is not a game.
Those of us who had the information and common sense to oppose it in 2002 know that.
So what is the mission again? How long do we keep policing someone’s else’s civil war? And to what end?
Does hangin out with an Iraqi citizen count as going to Iraq?
Obama’s millionairre buddy REZKO is from Iraqi and now a dual US/Iraqi citizen.
OBAMA HAS CLOSE TIES TO IRAQ!!!!!!!
http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/499796,CST-NWS-rezko07.article
No Big Deal.
I have tons of Iraqi millionaire friends. It’s very common.
There’s no reason to be suspicious of Obama’s ties to Rezko.
Purely coincidental things in common. They accidentally became friends.
Say in that photo with Obama warmly embracing Maliki (like a brother), did you notice Obama’s left hand behind Maliki’s back?
Is Obama stabbing him in the back forcing him to talk, or is Obama just pulling the puppet strings making Malik’s lips move?

It was a whopping 2-day tour of Iraq. Obama is a frickin EXPERT now! That vast wealth of experience will go a long way to bringing hope and peace to the entire world!
May Allah bless him!

Barack Obama commits himself to withdrawing troops in two-day tour of Iraq
People can gnash their teeth and rend their hair all they want. It won’t change the fact that Obama is going to be our next president. It’s obvious.
“McCain, country first.”
It appears John is still searching for the right campaign slogan. How about this one? “McCain: Dead On…”
“McCain, country first.”
The question is, which country?
“McCain: Dead On…”

I like that one, it goes nicely with my “dirt nap” theory.
OBAMA HAS CLOSE TIES TO IRAQ!!!!!!!
Damn, Max, I have a cousin who has close ties to Lebanon–he was born there. Does that make him Lebanese? Somehow, his red hair belies that.
Are we currently fer or agin Lebanon? I keep forgetting…
The Sun Tmes? Come on, Max, you can do better than that. Or can you?

Your behind the times Rage. Even Obama has learned not to call it a “civil war.”

I thought you might. ;)
He didn’t go there to support the troops, he went there for the sake of his political career.
And you think all the other politicians who have gone there have done so to support the troops?
When did this blog become Comedy Central?

I do! But, I am still going to vote for him, shamefully, if he makes it.
Anti?
tsk tsk
He better have a good VP.
Exactly what I was thinking as the screen refreshed.
Actually Obama is making the next McCain ad everytime he utters unscripted words out loud. Put a mike in front of him with a question he isn’t prepared for by his speech writers and listen. Oh well… that’s right nothing comes out. Ah..ah… ah…glup…ah…
McCain knows that he is the “underdog” in this election, so he is grasping for straws in an effort to keep himself from drowning.
Good night
Some people don’t do extemporaneous speaking well. Then there are those who don’t do normal, everyday, open your mouth speaking well, such as…
Top Ten (of a gazillion?) Bushisms:

9) “I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family.” —Greater Nashua, N.H., Jan. 27, 2000

7) “I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.” —Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000
6) “You work three jobs? … Uniquely American, isn’t it? I mean, that is fantastic that you’re doing that.” —to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005
5) “Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren’t able to practice their love with women all across this country.” —Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sept. 6, 2004
4) “They misunderestimated me.” —Bentonville, Ark., Nov. 6, 2000
3) “Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?” —Florence, S.C., Jan. 11, 2000
2) “Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” —Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004
1) “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.” —Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

“Goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter.” –George W. Bush, in parting words to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and French President Nicolas Sarkozy at his final G-8 Summit, punching the air and grinning widely as the two leaders looked on in shock, Rusutsu, Japan, July 10, 2008
Poor ole Mcsame just can’t catch a break. He’s just had a bad week.
Just going by posts over at TPM Election Central, here’s a partial list of what Team Crybaby has pouted and whined aout this week, while Obama was making history:
This ad complained about Obama not going to iraq – a complaint that I’m willing to bet anything they wish they’d never made.
McCrazy then tried to spoil the party by attempting to leak Obama’s itinerary. They got that one wrong, too.
After Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki essentially endorsed Obama’s timeline for withdrawal, McCain’s minions claimed that Maliki agreed with McCain. 0-for-3.
Then these geniuses tried to dispute what Maliki said, apparently based on the premise that neither Maliki nor his translator know their own native language.
Not entirely sure what to do next, they released an ad blaming Obama for high gas prices.
In a fit of apparent pique over the fact that McCain doesn’t have the necessary skills to write an op-ed for the NYTimes, the campaign released a web ad – sent directly to journalists – bitching about the media’s alleged love affair with Obama.
Then in a clear effort to forever raise the bar for inane campaign ‘nontroversies,’ McCain’s brain trust (heh) criticized Obama for making part of his trip in a plane that he had previously stated was ‘wasteful’ – apparently not realizing that McCain himself made part of his last trip to Iraq in the same type of plane – after he had described it as ‘wasteful.’

Tin Ear McCain.
Great ad.
Shows a young, vibrant Obama and dessicated doddering McCain.
Keep sending money to the McCain campaign, Pukes. He’s helping Obama win . . .

“McCain, country first.”
The question is, which country?
Well based on his lobby friends I’d be guessing he has an affinity for things French —- certainly doesn’t seem to care a whole lot about the American workers —-
You gotta love the Pukes:
THEN: “We can’t leave now because the country isn’t stablized.”
NOW: “The country is stabilized thanks to the magnificent surge. But we can’t leave.”
