I find it rather amusing that Rove et.al. will label a man who came from modest beginnings as ‘elitist’ just because he sought and acquired an education. It is especially amusing since they won’t do that to the guy who was born with a rich Poppy and got it all handed to him. As Dowd notes; the Country Club is much more ‘blue-blood’ elitist than the Faculty Club.

Sounds to me like Ms Dowd agrees with Mr. Rove.

What is funniest about the Obamanation is the way he tries to stay above the fray and send his henchmen out to do his dirty work like Wesley Clark did. He then reacts as if he had no idea this was going to happen.

Two things: If he were the man McCain is he would denounce Clark for what he said and insist that he apologize for his statement. Second point if this would be prez is unable to control his henchmen in his run for the office how effective will he be when in the Oval Office?

He is a cheap politician who thinks the general public is dumb and will accept anything he says - he is right about most of the left, the right and part of the left aren’t falling for his bull. That will be his achilles heel.

General Wesley Clark is the former Clinton butt-boy liberal. The dems wheel him out anytime they want to trash the military carreers of a republican.

He is a proven liar. When he retired he sold out to the highest bidder to start his political carreer, the DNC was the only bidder.

Rove is the master of the dirty trick and the misdirection. I would not be shocked if he was the guy behind Rathergate, and I certainly suspect he was behind the nasty rumor in South Carolina in 2000.

That being said, I was not entirely comfortable with Clark’s comments, and I don’t like the idea of looking through the service record of McCain to attack him. You know, like what was done to the last presidential candidate with the first name of John.

The rich country club set don’t like it when an ordinary eprson gets “uppity.” I saw that with some of the students at Harvard - the preppie ones - and how they looked down on the “scholarship” kids who had the audacity to challenge their status. Seems they didn’t figure we belonged in their “class”
