Wichita Wingnuts manager Kash Beauchamp (in photo) clearly put the new franchise on the map last week with his armpit- and shoe-assisted tantrum, which has been all over the national media (including YouTube) and prompted a richly deserved four-game suspension by the American Association. It’s hard to say what is worse — Beauchamp’s show of disrespect for the umpire and his unapologetic milking of the subsequent media attention, or the crowd’s delighted reaction. Sad to see America’s pastime tainted by behavior straight out of professional wrestling.

The crowd’s, therefore, actually go for the subsequent media attention. Where the umpire come from is the subsequent media attention of how behavior is working. The umpire should have 99 % uptime guarantee.
owned…
Rhonda, you’re not even good at sneering.
Enough with the comments on Beauchamp’s tirade and that includes those by Bob Lutz. Of all people, he should know better being the sports expert that he is…or claims to be. Considering the past antics of Tommy Lasorda, Billy Martin, Earl Weaver and Lou Pinella, Beauchamp is a rank amateur. Compared to the “king of tirades”, Bobby Knight, he doesn’t even register. Umpire baiting is a part of baseball as sure as the seventh inning stretch. When the American Assoc. came to town we were promised a newer, lively kind of baseball. Looks like we got it.
It was… amusing, silly, hilarious, a bad example, and good publicity.
When did anything positive about Wichita make the news?
He was simply showing his emotions on the sale of the Anheuser-Busch sale to Belgium. The video of it on youtube is just priceless, appropriate choice of music over the stadium sound system though haha. As if Kansas needed any more ammo for comedians and talk show hosts, especially when the manager of a team called the Wingnuts flies off the handle in a tirade like that.
1. I’m concerned that Beauchamp looks very much like me. I hope no one mistake him for me.
2. Beauchamp is a very fashion conscious man. His socks match his jersey.
3. I’m glad he got his hat and his shoes back. I wouldn’t want his mother to worry about him catching cold.
4. They should reduce his suspension to three games considering that he may have been upset about that Pat Roberts TV ad.
