World trusts Putin more than Bush

bushputinHow low is world public opinion of President Bush? Former Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Hu Jintao are more trusted than Bush to “do the right thing regarding world affairs,” according to an international survey coordinated by the Project on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland. Not that authoritarian leaders Putin and Hu rated high in trustworthiness; they just scored better than Bush.

Well Mr. Brownlee, if you had a clue, you would realize that Americans in general are held in low regard by the rest of the world.

This is nothing new and it is doubtful it will ever change as long as the United States is the leading economic and military power.

Of course, who comes begging if they need something? Yep, those same countries that ‘bad mouth’ the U.S.

The world had eight years of articulate speech, a sound economy with a huge surplus, and carefully crafted international relations with Clinton.

With Bush they got the bottom of the barrel and WORST PRESIDENT EVER.

Had Bush even been mediocre he would have gotten a pass.

    “Regular” lies –

“…if you had a clue, you would realize that Americans in general are held in low regard by the rest of the world.

    “This is nothing new….”

After 9/11, just about every nation in the world was on America’s side.

Then George WMD Bush screwed it up. At just about every opportunity.

“…are more trusted than Bush to “do the right thing regarding world affairs,” according to an international survey…”

All depends on who you are asking and what is considered ‘the right thing’. The survey is meaningless.

I would rather bash the news media than our own presidents past and present for trivia like this. Americans aren’t needed by others, just their money and their williness to help others in time of need.

Those are not lies MH. Try living outside if the U.S. for a few years and you understand the mindset of the World.

The 911 thing, unfortunately was just a pity party by the other countries. Most could care less and can probably point to worse tragedies in their own country.

No George Bush didn’t screw up anything; he just put some moral and mental handcuffs on duh libs and there was nothing they could do about it.

Sucks to be you doesn’t it MH?

Well, I currently on overseas work contract, and I can assure you with a high confidence level, that Americans are still regarded highly in many respect. It is mainly the current Administration (some may even call it a junta) that they deride. Having said that, there are some circles who do wonder how the general population can be frightened (”terrorized”) and bamboozled into electing Bush in 2004. The 9/11 global phenomenon was a REAL deal. People did felt the hurt of the American people. It was a true sympathy, not just a “pity party”. Those who perished that day had come from all over the world. So, enough with your own “Self Pity Party”.

Did anybody bother to look up the results of the survey and see that Ahmadinejad scored directly ABOVE Bush?

Now why did Phillip fail to give the guy who is a holocaust denier credit for scoring above Bush?

Perhaps such a revelation would have effectively revealed that the survey has no clout whatsoever.

Thanks for the dead ender Phillip.

Don’t accept any diminished respect for Americans from this “poll”. Polls come and go and can be framed one way or the other and to produce the result the sponsor wishes. Americans are well liked, though sometimes travel internationally under a Maple Leaf as a fallout from Bush. I saw exactly that it Frankfurt in a huge bar close to the railway station and was amused, not annoyed. Bush and those who elected and sponsored him mystify our friends and give warmth to our enemies. We will all get over it, move on and complain about the next manufactured crisis.

I always find it interesting that the con posters here are such international experts on polling/surveys.

The former head of the KGB is held in higher regards than our president? That is interesting.

Check out this honor which is being bestowed on our “greatest president”:

Say Eagle, you only have 7 more months to slam Bush.

Can’t you do better then this?

Remember, Obama is gonna need all the help he can get to get elected. Since there is nothing positive about Obama to cause a reasonable person to vote FOR him, EAGLE, you need to keep beating that BASH BUSH drum and pretending that Obama is running against BUSH.

Keep beating your dead Bush drum, if it makes you FEEL better.

It’s the 28%ers who seem to have no mind in their unwavering support for this idiot. . . and the mind is a terrible thing to waste, so obviously they have already reached that point.
