“If we want to honor Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, the best possible way to do that is to support Barack Obama,†Gov. Kathleen Sebelius said in an interview in conjunction with Saturday’s keynote address to the Ohio Democratic Party’s annual dinner.
She added: “It strikes me as ludicrous that the way to honor her candidacy is to support John McCain.â€

Before this primary started I was a big supporter of Bill Richardson. I supported his candidacy and believed that he was the best choice. I donated money to his effort. But he didn’t win. When it came to Hillary vs Obama I supported Obama the same way I did Richardson. I am glad he won but if it had been Hillary, I would be supporting her right now. People, we cannot afford to be bickering and let the Republicans in there another 4 years. If we do, we won’t have anything left to bicker over! This is literally about saving the country from darkness, evil and a horrible economy where only the rich will benefit and the rest of us living in virtual poverty. Oh, and at least 3 more wars too! The country will look like Hati with 4 more years of Republicans. Not to mention the possibility of Supreme Court openings. Do you want another Clarence Thomas in there?
Welcome to the Wichita Eagle Obama Campaign Headquarters.
Go Obama!!!!!!!
Is John Sidney McCain the Third (for Shrub’s 3rd term) even trying anymore?
He’s proposing things he knows won’t make a difference, then admits it:
At a town hall in Fresno, CA, McCain admitted that the offshore drilling proposal he unveiled last week would probably have mostly “psychological” benefits, NBC/NJ’s Adam Aigner-Treworgy notes. “Even though it may take some years, the fact that we are exploiting those reserves would have psychological impact that I think is beneficial.”
In other words, “It won’t do squat for you, but it’ll make you feel like something is being done.” That’s not beneficial. In fact, it’s the exact opposite of beneficial.
The best way to honor Hillary is to put her in the VP slot.
I will never vote for McCain, but I can certainly stay home. Obama had better not throw us under the bus.
“Political_mama” –
I’m not convinced she wants to be Vice-President. I think she wants to be asked.
She’s sure sounding like someone with her eyes on replacing Reid as Senate Majority Leader, lately.
Maybe our dear gov has been in the mansion to long. If she had really spent any time talking to Clinton supporters she would not find the fact that we will not support Obama ludicrous.
It am not voting for Obama but it is not my way of honoring Clinton. It is my way of protecting my country from an inexperienced man.
MH – that reminds me of Nixon’s WIN buttons as a solution for inflation!
Thank you for your input chatty Kathy.
I will make up my own mind how to “honor Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, the best possible way”.
In Kansas, my vote will not matter anyway. At this time, I find no real reason to bother voting at all.

Actually, the WIN button was Jerry Ford’s, courtesy of his Chief of Staff, (the big) Dick Cheney.
Women should vote for McCain — if they like Bush’s Misbegotten War, if they are anti-choice, pro-Big Oil and Big PhrMA and if they don’t mind being called derogatory names, including @itch and @unt.
If they are Catholic women — Republican or Democrat or whatever — they need to be aware of the fact that their church and their Pope has declared Bush’s War unjust and immoral.

He is not throwing her under the bus. He is out fundraising for her right now! In fact I and other Obama supporters are donating to Hillary to help pay off her debt- because Obama wants us to help her. But you have to trust Obama to pick the VP that he feels is the best for him. It may or may not be her. But even if it is not her, she will have a huge role in the new Senate- hopefully they will make her the leader and put the ineffectual Harry Ried in charge of the Dog Catcher Committee or something. She may also be in line for a Supreme Court appointment. I am sure she will do well under an Obama administration.
WASHINGTON – Echoing comments by Barack Obama, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius predicts that Republicans would undertake “a major effort to try and frighten people about him” because of his race.
“That has been the Republican playbook for the last eight years,” said Sebelius, an Obama ally. “‘He’s not qualified, he’s somebody who should scare you. He’s too liberal.’ ”
Sebelius, a two-term Democrat who is often mentioned as a possible running mate for Obama, said those were all “code words” to try to make voters uncomfortable.
“I don’t think anybody’s going to go directly at the race issue, but that’s going to be an underlying theme,” she said in an interview this week.

You’ve now heard from your governor, who has now played the RACE card.
Sebelius has defined RACISM in terms of daring to question Obama’s experience or ideology. According to our governor, Republicans and others who say “He’s not qualified, or he’s too liberal”, are really saying “He’s black, don’t vote for him”?????
Shame Governor Sebelius. Shame.
