"See what I mean? Bush wasn’t the topic of the thread. Have a grown up give you a hand."

I was responding to a direct statement from another poster - are you okay with that?

As for a grown up giving me a hand? A girlfriend offered that last night, but she ended up performing oral sex for me.

It's an open forum - there is not requirement to "follow the thread."

As for drugs? I don't have any, but do you have a good connection?

And.....................

“The House bill would end an Outer Continental Shelf drilling moratorium that Congress has renewed every year since 1981.”

"Also, Bush is a bit disingenuous in blaming Democrats for the ban on offshore drilling. Though many Democrats have and do oppose the drilling, it was his father who issued a presidential executive order in 1990 banning coastal oil exploration, and Bush could rescind that order today if he chose to."

Well, Redand................

ANWR - "Study: ANWR oil would have little impact
Heavy reliance on foreign imports would continue, agency finds"

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4542853/

All of our imported does not come from Saudi Arabia.

"But even at peak production, the EIA analysis said, the United States would still have to import two-thirds of its oil, as opposed to an expected 70 percent if the refuge’s oil remained off the market."

"George the Smarter that banned off shore drilling in 1990."

Wrong!!
"The House bill would end an Outer Continental Shelf drilling moratorium that Congress has renewed every year since 1981."

"I did notice your lack of articulation - was that caused by exposure to environmental hazards?"

I noticed your lack of ability to follow the thread. What is your excuse, drugs?

"The project deficit as proposed by George WMD Bush’s budget for fiscal 2009 is $600 billion - nearly $200 billion over his own record deficit."

See what I mean? Bush wasn't the topic of the thread. Have a grown up give you a hand.

"Really? There is only about six month’s worth of oil in ANWR - a drop in the proverbial bucket."

Yeah really! You are WRONG again. there is more than over 30 years of Saudi oil imports in ANWR!

"Did you realize that if every American quit using cosmetic products for one day it would pay for the war, not just Iraq but the whole war on terror, with money left over?"

Damn, I would love to see some actual facts behind that lie. So you are saying that we spend $275 billion per DAY on cosmetics? Let me do the math - $275 billion * 365 = whoops! my calculator broke!

$275 billion per DAY on cosmetics?

"That was the doing of Clinton, and the rest of you mentally challenged leftest."

Actually, it was the mentally challenged leftist (notice the correct spelling) George the Smarter that banned off shore drilling in 1990.

"I grew up around oil wells, and it doesn’t cause any harm to the environment. "

I did notice your lack of articulation - was that caused by exposure to environmental hazards?

"I promise higher deficits and debt.”

The project deficit as proposed by George WMD Bush's budget for fiscal 2009 is $600 billion - nearly $200 billion over his own record deficit.

What is McBush going to do to change that?

"If we would have drilled in ANWR all along, we wouldn’t need to import any oil from the Saudis and this alleged speculation issue would not be a problem."

Really? There is only about six month's worth of oil in ANWR - a drop in the proverbial bucket.

Now what?

Welcome to WEBlog, Franklin. It's nice to have new posters, even if you are obviously a (stupid, boneheaded) conservative.

You write very similar to a former (stupid, boneheaded) poster here called Rossell or Econ - 101.

Your comments are idiotic, like most (stupid, boneheaded) conservatives, but welcome to the club, anyway!

"1. I promise to send hundreds of thousands of Americans and billions of tax dollars to Iraq."

Did you realize that if every American quit using cosmetic products for one day it would pay for the war, not just Iraq but the whole war on terror, with money left over?

"2. I promise to keep us reliant on foreign oil."

That was the doing of Clinton, and the rest of you mentally challenged leftest. President Bush has been calling for us to drill in ANWR for years, but the environmental wackos threatened to cut off their bank roll to all politicians who went for it. We would not be in the position we are now, if anyone would have listened.

"3. I promise more pollution."

See there you go with the environmental lies again. I grew up around oil wells, and it doesn't cause any harm to the environment. However let a few morons from Wichita in to fish, and the environment was destroyed for ever.

"4. I promise more tax breaks for the rich."

Some of his tax breaks for corporation are geared at the production of technology to produce alternative energy sources. As for the Bush tax cuts, the taxes are truly lower for middle and lower classes. For example according to IRS tax tables a married couple filing jointly in 2000 with a taxable income of 30K would have paid $4,504. For 2007 they will pay $3,721, or $783 less. Likewise with a taxable income of 40K they would have paid $6,004 in 2000, and $5,221 in 2007, which is also $783 less.

"5. I promise higher deficits and debt."

I doubt it, but it would beat unemployment, and starvation. I really can't predict the future.

"6. I promise to continue to allow commodity traders to go unregulated to keep your gas prices high."

So how do you control foreign speculation? If we would have drilled in ANWR all along, we wouldn't need to import any oil from the Saudis and this alleged speculation issue would not be a problem.

"7. I promise to rubberstamp everything McCain does if he is elected President."

I doubt that also. He'll be too busy keeping Senator McCain on the right side of the road. Contrary to popular liberal beliefs, McCain unfortunately, is no Bush.

"8. I promise to do nothing on health care."

At least we still have choices. Most of the stress on the health care system now is from leftist government meddling. Take the government out of it, and let doctors be doctors, and nurses be nurses. Use those resources to regulate the legal system involvement in the equation.

Bo Diddley's good.

Or maybe

"The Doors" . . . can be scary at times . . .

Clark, you just defy catagorization. You'd have to be a whole orchestra.

But I vote for Bo Diddly.

Or maybe I'd like to be Lucille. Under BB's ever so talented hands...

Agreed Monkey. Both those songs just send CHILLS down my spine. I saw her a bunch of times in Austin when she was new enough to get close to the stage.

And most of her early works were gender neutral. For commercial reasons. It's how she got her crossover audience early on.

Oops, sorry, Phantom.

I knew I'd leave somebody out.

Jaggar perhaps.

I'm thinking more "Pearl Jam" because you bring an alternative perspective.
