Dawn of a winning ticket?

obamasebeliusSocial critic and “post-feminist feminist” Camille Paglia has decided Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is Barack “Obama’s best bet” as a running mate. Here’s why: “She is a polished public presence who epitomizes that cordial, smoothly reassuring, and blandly generic WASPiness that has persistently defined the American power structure in business and government and that has weirdly resisted wave after wave of immigration since the mid-19th century. An Obama-Sebelius pairing would be visually vibrant and radiant, like a new day dawning.”

Obama should wait until McBush announces his running mate.

This is going to be a staring contest to see who blinks first.

It would certainly be a Dream Ticket, like in a Nightmare Ticket for socialism.
One good thing though, Sebelius has been nothing but a pretty skirt without her blind obedience to the party line and can’t seem to think independently on her own.

K-Native – I think the Democratic convention comes first. So, I don’t think Obama has that option.

However, I still do not think she would be the best choice. I think he needs to get someone with a military/foreign policy background.

bth – Someone else said she should run for the Senate…I agree.

Boxlicker says “Sebelius has been nothing but a pretty skirt” and is oblivious to how sexist a statement that is.

Boxlicker has been nothing but a dirty pear of underwear on this blog…there!

Always glad to oblige your expectations.
And it’s so easy too, as your expectations are so low.

    Camille is not a feminist.

I was going to say the same thing Pmom. Google Camille Paglia and see what you get.

Feminist indeed. She reinvents herself more often than Madonna. And not nearly as well!

The ‘gray mare’ Sebelius is not well suited for D.C. politics.

    Well…

In picking a VP, Obama’s goal is to pick up voters and better make him able to win in the fall. In other words, he needs to pick someone who encourages people who are not inspired by him now but can be brought in by his choice of VP.

    Here.

Right now I just am not inspired enough by Obama to vote for him. In Kansas, I have the luxury of not holding my nose and voting for him anyway. Kathy Sebelius only makes Obama look worse to me. A “Democrat” able to win in a blindly con state? The orator of that DISASTER of a State of the Union rebuttal/bedtime story?

    Bleah.

People still listen to Camille Paglia? She’s the female, liberal version of Ann Coulter.

Sorry Camille, but the people of Kansas elected Sebelius to be our Gov. We need her and Obama can’t have her!

RHONDA Thank you oh so much. Keep on promoting Sebelius for VP. I can’t wait for the national media to take a closer look at our governor. I don’t know if you read Tim Potter’s article last Sunday about SRS chief Don Jordan reporting that Nola Foulston & Ron Pascal were intimidating the local SRS social workers to fabricate evidence in CINC petitons to take children away from their innocent parents.

It doesn’t sound like Sebelius is a very competent governor. Didn’t Sebellius appoint Ron Sylvester & Gaye Tibbetts running buddy, Carol Beier, to be on the fast track to become appelate judge & then Supreme Court justice?? I thought Beier was the Supreme Court justice responsible for monitoring and alerting her bretheran on the Supreme Court about any problems in the 18th judicial district. It’s going to be such a great story for a REAL newspaper that cares about truth, transparency & accountability.

The O-man needs someone with military and foreign policy experience.

Hey, here’s an idea. Kathy could declare a war against Iowa (since they are drowning anyway) to prove her gravitas and get some needed experience for Mr. wet-behind-the-ears.

Just joking. Google “green gornet” for the real democrat plan.

“The O-man needs someone with military and foreign policy experience.”

Someone like Cheney or Rumsfeld? Competence is more important than experience, the Republicans proved that.
