Max – I am opposed to government providing these things – as you know I opposed the 6 million bailout for Warren. But, if a guy wants to unwind after a day pushing rivits or whatever with some entertainment – even if that entertainment is a slot machine – then so be it.

It’s called capitalism.

As for me – I want to play too. And, after about 6 this evening, I intend to.

No bth, I said some service industries are necessary.

But when you have people crying about not having the bare necessities of life, and the countries infrastructure is falling down all around us, some people want to PLAY, and use Government funds to build casinos!

Got YOUR Priorities straight?

Maybe you think Government can do EVERYTHING for you, and there’s unlimited money tree resources out there!

Doesn’t matter, you Socialists have won the battle, but the Country will lose the war, when everyone stops working productive jobs.

Had yet ANOTHER employee quit yesterday. She’s taking a part-time job somewhere else. Why?

She had to actually pay all of her own rent in June! Oh my, she lost her housing assistance because she was making too much money working full-time. (She started about 6 months ago, guess the Welfare police just caught up to her)

Ya know, there should be a Centralized Welfare Caseworker required who would review these cases so that welfare is DENIED to all those who are Able to work, but not Willing to work.

As an employer, I should have to report all employees who voluntarily quit to a centralized Federal welfare database. Heck, the IRS already has info on all of us.

Just more money from the money tree…

Flatlander, casinos are not fun to me. Get board in less then 5 minutes there.

If y’all think casinos are productive and create wealth in America, go ahead and shift more resources over to them. See how much more food, fuel, clothing, and exportable items that gets ya.

You won’t increase wealth a lick, but you will spread it around more.

Sure, some service industries are necessary, but they do not increase the overall wealth resources in America.

AND, they divert funds to casinos that might otherwise be spent on manufactured goods.

Technically someone builds slot machines, probably more than one company, along with playing cards, dice. Casinos, bars, restaurants also have to buy both the tools and food so they can prepare it. Someone has to make the ovens, microwaves and assorted gadgets, someone makes the projectors used in movie theaters not to mention all the industry involved in actually making movies, my uncle actually manufactured props for Apollo 13 by coping artifacts from the Cosmosphere, so both the Cosmosphere and a Wichita Machine shop made money from a movie. then a how many Americans are employed in the brewing and distilling enterprises

O.K., I guess that I just don’t get it!! My wife and I go to casinos. Have for years. We put our gambling money in one pocket and when that is gone we quit gambling. We go to casinos because it is fun. You have good food, good entertainment, great fun, meet all kinds of people, really nice rooms (sometimes for free), get treated like royalty, the list goes on and on. It is called fun and entertainment. Sounds like Max could use a little R&R. My wife says that he sounds like a workaholic so casinos wouldn’t be a good place for him to be. No offense meant, just poking a little fun.
