Edwards’ endorsement another blow to Clinton

obamaedwards.jpgJohn Edwards’ endorsement of Barack Obama isn’t a game-changer, and it won’t cause white, lower-income voters to abandon Hillary Clinton for Obama. But the endorsement is another blow to Clinton’s efforts to persuade superdelegates to support her. Today, four of Edwards’ delegates came out in support of Obama, as did the United Steelworkers Union.

Don’t know if any of yall saw the Jon Stewart last night, but it was a humdinger. He showed some interviews of Hillary’s voters in WVA, and it was telling indeed. Talk about ignorant, snake worshiping idiots. If that’s all Hillary can bring to the voting table, we’re in trouble.

    Hillary should withdraw now gracefully.
By keeping this charade up, hill and bill are
going to end up much like jack and jill.

Just more elitist, hate mongering speech from left JMWalker.

Like there are no intellectuals in West Virginia that weren’t interviewed? Or perhaps JMWalker, do you think they hire illiterate hillbillies for college professors?

And those steelworkers? Where are those steelworkers going to get the coal from to make their steel? Perhaps from those “snake worshipping idiots” of West Virginia?

Regular. You make a good argument against a possible “Biased Sample” from West Virginia. Then you turn around and start talking about the steel workers. In answer to your question. The Steel Workers can get coal from 25 other states. West Virginia isn’t even the leading Coal Mining State. Wyoming is.

That’s true about the coal LLTVET. However, West Virginia is the largest producer of bituminous coal, the coal used in making ‘coke’ for steel.

You know I don’t wantcha in my life.
    So build me, hillarycup,
    don’t ruin my life!

    And Hillary’s good bye song:

    “Sunrise sunset, sunrise, sunset,
    Swiftly flow the days,
    Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers,
    Blossoming even as they gaze…

    Sunrise sunset, sunrise, sunset!
    Swiftly fly the years,
    One season following another,
    Laden with happiness and tears…

    One season following another,
    Laden with happiness and tears”

    As her sun has set.

Perfect timing by Edwards and Obama.

    Capn,

I recall JR saying yesterday that neither Richardson nor Edwards was his choice. Apparently he’s been Hillary all the way.

    Hmmm, okay, Pre.

I watched the video of Edwards endorsing The Big O.

When Edwards thanked Hillary, the crowed booed lustily.

Interestingly, Obama was clapping and when the booing started, he waved the referee’s “no” gesture to try to stop the crowd.

Edwards endorsed Obama. Now. When it’s all over but the crying, even if Hillary can’t see it.

I’d appreciate if you Obama supporters would refrain from talking about me when I’m not around. Thanks.

I was for Kucinich. I would have been ok with Edwards, Clinton, or Obama.

Up until Obama showed he’s more Republican than Democrat. Edwards too has lost all my respect. I always thought he was kinda fakey anyway.

Obama is hemoragging the vote of working people. THIS was his only card to play to face that.

And he blew it. By doing when he did, he stuck his thumb in the eye of those very same folks.

I suppose he has one more trick to turn. He COULD make Edwards his running mate to mitigate his coming devastating loss in Kentucky.

    Then he’s outta tricks.

I know this isn’t easy or fun to hear. But facts is facts. Obama is not electable in the general.

    Capn,

I saw the no/cutoff gesture, too. No doubt it was an Obama crowd, but that’s to be expected. That audience was hyped up!

I also viewed several CNN videos to see what the pundits were saying. Interesting to see Dukakis interviewed and what he had to say.

Well, looks like we have our nominee. I think John Edwards was right to announce when he did, and I also think he was right not to announce on behalf of Elizabeth Edwards.

Obama is going to DESTROY McCain in the general election.

    GMC70,

Sorry you won’t get that brokered Democratic convention you were hoping for. Given the level of disaffection among the Wingnut true believers, and the fact that Bob Barr will be running as a libertarian, you may have to your brokered convention fix from the GOP.

JR, Obama will be the next prez…there’s no way McCain will beat him. America is so sick of Bush’s disasterous policies and the huge mess we’re in now because of Republican leadership the last 8 yrs. It’s long past time to start turning things around and I believe Obabma is the man that has the best qualifications to do that. He certainly can’t do any worse than Bush.

Edward’s endorsement would have been helpful before North Carolina but is a bit late in coming now. It is like I heard on the radio yesterday, he is like the old football player William Refridgerator Perry- after the rest of the team would get the ball down to the goal line, they would hand it to Perry to run it the last yard for the score!

“JR, Obama will be the next prez”

    I don’t think so.

He isn’t the nominee. He shouldn’t be.

But if he is? He will lose.

He will lose because folks like you Mary and yes you CF are comfortable. And you wish to guard that comfort.

Even with so many already left behind.

Obama is no different from the cons. He talks about how he and his wife have made it.

The unsaid implication is that those who have not made it…….are guilty of not trying hard enough.

“Hope” What’s that? I hope I don’t get critically ill. What is Obama gonna do for me if I do?

“Change”? By working with those who have already wrought all the wrong changes?
