No Chris - I think those who did this were general nutcases. i DO remember, however, all the "Christian" types railing against JFK as being a "Papist" and "Whore of babylon"

And now er have "Christians" like you Chris:

http://baptistsforbrown2008.wordpress.com/2007/07/19/the-curse-of-ham-why-barack-hussein-oboma-will-never-be-president/

"It is written in Rev 20:8-Satan shall go out to deceive all the nations which are in the four quarters of the Earth, Gog,and Magog to gather them together to battle: The number of whom is countless and of the sand of the sea or shores of the sea. As descendant of Canaan, Liberal Democrat, Barack Obama Hussein is indeed a liar for that there is no disputing. He has and will continue to with his lies to God’s children that abortion, blatant homosexuality, fornication, and socialism is fun and good. This does not however make him the great liar that God tells us is to be the Anti-Christ. It is Barack Hussein Obama’s curse of coloredness that will prevent him from ever being elected leader of a true Christian nation, one that is founded upon Christian principle by the chosen, fair-skinned people of God."

Do you claim that this guy of yours is a "liberal"? No Chris, he is your kind, through and through.

My my Chris - a bit conspiritorial? And was JFK assasinated by the ‘left’? Dr. King?

Correct on both counts, Ben. Don't tell me you believe the Warren Commission report, or that James Earl Ray was really the assassin of Dr. King? Of course I suppose it does fit your world view to continue to believe that those diabolical acts were the work of right wing types. After all the right is so evil and the left so virtuous, right Ben?

"Any threat to Barrack Obama’s life will come from the left, that much I am sure of."

My my Chris - a bit conspiritorial? And was JFK assasinated by the 'left'? Dr. King?

Sorry Chris; but the atmosphere I see from the far right is too reminiscent of what I saw when we elected a president from the "Whore of Babylon." Now it is the "curse of Ham" from the same right-wing "Christian" nutcases. And here we have a member of that fringe right trying to pre-emptively blame the 'left'

Hello folks, I'm Back. Been out of pocket for a couple of days while the wife had a little surgery. I must admit, my timing was impeccable as usual regarding my posts on this very thread on 5/22 and 5/23 and the comments that Comrade Clinton made to the Sioux Falls newspaper later in the day on 5/23. By the way, I think it was FDR who said " there are no accidents in politics, if it happened (or was said) that way, somebody meant for it to happen that way." Any threat to Barrack Obama's life will come from the left, that much I am sure of. Of course, it will be blamed on the right or the Israelis or some other politically incorrect group. The assassination of Senator Obama will be used to destroy what's left of this once great nation. Talk Radio will be blamed, as will Christians. Anybody who had spoke out against Obama will be targeted as a hate monger and racist. The violence and unrest in the black communities of America will be the impetus for Marshall Law and the suspension of Constitutional rights. Face it people, to the George Soros, move on .org crowd who exist only to destroy America and build a socialist nightmare on her ashes, the untimely death of Obama would be a dream come true.

He reminds me of those Christians on that link I posted a few days back writing about Obama having the "Mark of Ham" and must never be president.

Chris is the sort Obama wants to play hope and change with. Sounds like a plan huh?

I've said all I need to on this thread. I don't know why Senator Clinton would want the job, but if she does, she gets it or Obama loses in a walk.

I DO hope Capn happens by and finds that he is now in the same class as fleetwood. And at just about the same time.

Ain't Hillary grand?

""My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it," she said, dismissing calls to drop out."

Conspiracy theory my ass. Come on Jed, anybody who knows even a little bit about the Clintons knows that there is a trail of bodies strewn all the way from Little Rock to D.C. After all, Obama had the audacity to deny Hillary what she thinks is rightfully hers. Her unstoppable march straight to the coronation ended up in the ditch thanks to him. Do you think she is just going to accept the will of the people and fade into the sunset. She is not going to wait eight years to have her shot at the White House. A VP slot followed by an untimely death may now be her only chance. Don't think that in the dark recesses of her mind that those thoughts are not being entertained. Anybody who does not think she is 100% willing and capable of doing it is very naive.

Chrisfrommacabre,
Oh lordie, put your ouija board away! Isn't it enough to invent conspiracy theories for events that have already taken place, so now you have to predict future conspiracies? If you are so possessed with clairvoyance, why not do something useful like going to Vegas and investing your life savings in roulette?

Okay, nobody else will say it, so I will. Vice president Hillary is a death sentenced for Obama. Not politically, but literally and even He's not stupid enough to put her within a heartbeat (his) of the Presidency. Don' think for a moment that the Clintons are not capable of doing it. They are quite capable and would probably make it look like a right wing job. Then Hillary's dream would come true. She would ascend to a job she could never have won in her own right and claim a mandate to use all her powers to go after the right for killing the first black president whom she herself had killed.

Fleetie,
What's your problem? You're not going to vote for either one. Of course your boy McCane is becoming less heard from and more unelectable every day, and his kneeling at Hagee's backside hasn't brought him any love either. So suck it up! You'll just have to settle for Obama and/or Hillary for the next eight years or so.

You people don't seem to get it. This is going to Denver, and it should. Florida and Michigan.
One person, one vote. She has a case and the Democrat party has a problem with their system.
Too bad, so sad. YOU BLEW IT!

LJ,
Ideally they would come into the convention so close that they'd have to flip a quarter to see who's president and who's the very active veep- as close to a co-presidency the constitution allows. I'm sure there'll be some knock-down-drag-outs, but the country just might be all the better for them. We've already seen how well an imperial presidency works!

I don't know why she would WANT to be VP.

Unless she had some clearly defined duties in that role.

But if she wants the job and Obama says no?

Obama may as well kiss ALL the Clinton supporters good bye. And that means he would lose and in 40 states.

She has earned her pick of whatever job she wants.

     And the Supreme Court?

Oh how I would LOVE that. That would be like watching the cons take a fiber glass bath. For the rest of her life!

Get it written in blood Senator Clinton.

Jed-

Maybe, but it is not a coPresidency. I do not see the ego of Hillary or Bill allowing anything but a copresidency, and I do not see Obama allowing the same, for ego, political, and practical reasons.
I also understand your dim view of the past 8 years. I agree, to a point. I do not see us in the "deep grave" but perhaps that is just the optimist in me

LJ,
"Select her as VP. Probably a winning ticket, but I would think a difficult governing ticket. First, there is the stuff between the two. second, THere is the Bill question. How does Hillary getting into the VP slot keep Bill from interjecting himself?"

Mybe the "stuff between the two" is exactly what we need. Each would act as a brake on the more extreme tendencies of the other. Each would also be invaluable to the other. Hillary would innoculate Obama's idealism with a hefty dose of political reality, and Obama would make sure our ideals were upheld in the face of political expediency.
It's going to take the talents of both of them doing their damnedest to dig this country out of the deep grave Bush has prematurely buried us in. Only then will we be able to honestly announce "Mission Accomplished!"

I think what to do with Hillary Clinton is a huge problem for Obama and the party. She deserves a large amount of recognition for her tenacity, but moreso for the amount of votes she has won through the primary season. I think she has lost, but not by much. Her stack of chips are quite high. What then, do you, as Obama, do with her
1) Select her as VP. Probably a winning ticket, but I would think a difficult governing ticket. First, there is the stuff between the two. second, THere is the Bill question. How does Hillary getting into the VP slot keep Bill from interjecting himself? Big problem for Obama, also kind of against his campaign as "change".
2) SCOTUS? I think Political Mama is right on the mark. Not the right person
3) Head of the senate? NOt Obamas to give.
4) UN? Probably not the stature she seeks,

I just don;t know. I see big headaches ahead for the Obama camp. He cannot hust ignore her. Her impact has been too large.
