Thank goodness that the Pennsylvania Democratic primary is finally here. Hillary Clinton should easily win it. But to make any difference in the overall race, Clinton needs to win by a huge margin. And even then it is doubtful that will gain her enough delegates and popular votes to persuade uncommitted superdelegates to support her instead of Barack Obama.

My girlfriend lives in Erie PA. She is a Clinton nut. She works at the airport. She has proudly sent me pictures of herself with Bill Clinton and with Hillary Clinton.
She is not an Obama fan at all, I know she is biased. But still, I can see her points concerning both Clintons compared to Obama.
Obama is a “limousine liberal” through and through.
While I try to tell my girlfriend that the Clinton’s only “fake” their interest in her grandson, and in her, she does have a very telling response:
“Maybe, but Obama doesn’t even try to fake it” —Obama is a cold fish to most people, he does not try to make individuals feel important, when the cameras are not running. Obama barks out orders to his staff. Obama barks out orders to airport personnel that don’t even work for him, directly. Obama even refused to move out of the way, a few feet, to allow another airplane to taxi into the right spot on the tarmac. Obama is cold and does not seem to show much respect or interest in the “little people” around him. Obama is obsessed with his own self importance. When asked why he would not pose for pictures, like the Clintons love to do, Obama answered, coldly “I have a job to do” — as if trying to connect with REAL people was not PART of his “job” —
No, I am no Clinton fan. However, I get the impression that the Clintons do not look down their noses at those who disagree with them.
Put it this way. Back when I used to be in martial arts, the Clinton’s act like worthy opponents, who would treat me like a worthy opponent, though they are intent on knocking me down.
Obama acts like a man who does not believe that very many people even deserve to be in the same ring, with the Allmighty Obama!
Obama, the limo lib!
Obama, the man who wants to bring all of his “lessors” together!
Obama the snob!
I could swear that I went back and took out all of the unneeded apostrophes, in my previous post.
But there they are, anyway, huh?
Hillary showed what’s she made of by threatening Iran with obliteration should they be so unwise as to invade Israel. For that, she’ll lose a lot of the pacifist crowd, but, should she win the nomination, something that seems unlikely at this point, she might have a better chance against McCain than Obama will.
Both Democrat candidates, however, are a big disappointment to anyone who wanted a clear winner of integrity to finish the race.
As pundits have pointed out…this war between the two candidates may just have handed the Republican’s another term in the White House.
“RockRoad” offers –
“Hillary showed what’s she made of by threatening Iran with obliteration should they be so unwise as to invade Israel…”
But that was so non-reported in traditional media.
It might be a sop to the Jewish vote or even a desperate attempt to pick up some fundamentalist evangelicals (which would show just how far she’ll go… almost as bad as Johhn Sidney McCain the Third’s Jerry Falwell flip-flop).
But for anyone with a grasp of Middle East culture, the whole “Muslims nuke Israel” meme is a red herring. Jerusalem is just as much a sacred city for Muslims as it is for Christians and Jews. They ain’t gonna blow it up.
[snip]
“…this war between the two candidates may just have handed the Republican’s another term in the White House.”
And when in this election season have the pundits ever been wrong?
If anyone really thinks they can celebrate a November victory in April, they’re really fooling themselves.
Should we go to war for a company that spies on our military?

American charged with giving secrets to Israel
Justice Department: Engineer employed by U.S. Army spied from 1979-1985
NEW YORK - A former U.S. Army mechanical engineer was arrested Tuesday on charges he slipped classified documents about nuclear weapons to an employee of the Israeli Consulate who also received information from convicted Pentagon spy Jonathan Pollard, authorities announced.
Pollard, a former civilian intelligence analyst for the U.S. Navy, pleaded guilty while standing trial for transferring military secrets to Israel while working at the Pentagon. He is serving a life sentence.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli government but a senior Israeli defense official told Reuters: “I find it hard to believe that, after the Pollard affair, we would recruit an American spy.”
Kadish was scheduled to appear Tuesday afternoon at a federal court in New York.”
We should clean out that entire rats nest of a Consulate and find out who else they have on their payroll.
Paul - you sound like you have a bit of an inferiority complex. People I talk to don’t get that feeling about Obama.
So the spying ended 23 years ago BTH?
null - I doubt it. They just finally got caught.
Ben it’s funny that Paul writes about this. After starting with a very favorable opinion of Obama what I have seen from him lately reeks of arrogance in my view.
This feeling was galvanized when I watched the last debate. The way he narrows his eyes and throws his head back so he can look down on his opponent is very telling to me.
A body language expert would have a ball with this.
ksgrm - i don’t think it is arrogance; rather it seems to me he has that ‘east coast aloofness’ I find with most of my east coast and other big city clients. They have a very different manner than people here are accustomed to.
That’s why you’re not a body language expert grm.
I want my president to be smarter than the rest of us, and know it too. God knows we need smarter than what we’ve got now.
