have nothing but contempt for Tim Russert. He specializes in “gotcha” moments, even on things that should not matter. He not only covers elections like sporting events (something the punditocracy does too much), he tries to make news.

And, incredibly, in Bill Moyers’ “Buying the War” he admitted to leaving fact-finding up to the two parties i.e., Repubs say one thing, Dems say another, and then, magically, fact appears!

The man is not a journalist, or anything resembling one.

ksfarmgrrl, I read the link. The only thing that supports the contention that Obama “swiftboated” the Clintons is the headline. Surrogates of both campaigns have gone overboard. Certainly, the moral outrage of the Clinton supporter over Obama “only apologizing after he had been caught” is extremely disingenuous, considering some of the things that have been said on her behalf (or for that matter, a couple of the things she said herself).

And by the way, let me make this clear. I have nothing but contempt for Tim Russert. He specializes in “gotcha” moments, even on things that should not matter. He not only covers elections like sporting events (something the punditocracy does too much), he tries to make news. The commercial nature of the media will continue to support this behavior.

Econ, it is not uncommon for a congregation to build a retirement home for a retiring minister, especially afte 30+ years in the same congregation!! Please note that Pastor Wright had purchased the land on his own first… Then the church bought the land from him…

Sounds like some sort of a Retirement consideration — like professional athletes that get real estate considerations…
