Would turning them off reduce the number of "hits?" We know how important those hits are and it seems they are fewer since registration began so they sure wouldn't want to do something to further reduce them. Also, are user names getting pulled? I keep seeing the spam sites coming up over and over. Registration has no effect if the editors don't cull the bad ones out. The sock puppet parade seems to have lessened. We still have blogmonitor (Regular) but other than him, it's been a lot less chaotic. Good idea, P_Mom.
