The story on Guckert has got to be one of the biggest non-stories I’ve seen in a long time.
You mean a known homosexual being given constant access to the whitehouse bedroom is not a story?
Pardon me, I misspoke. A known homosexual prostitute.
Why not Impeach Governor Sebelius and ask the other 48 States in the U.S.A. to put the State of Kansas on Probation and have them appoint a Laison too reset the State back too the Union?? Missouri is not elligible for 1 reason. Bi-State Tax. MO/KAN Initative. We would be better served by 48 Governors than by 1 Terrorist, and a Missouri Cohort. Herbert West III, willing to be a Probationary Laison Governor for you, the Kansas Resident. Do a “Call Back Petition” and write me in!!!!!!!!! HLWIII, west.herb@yahoo.com P.S. I am on disability for Cancer. The Law provides for a 1 year probationary trial work period. Put it too use, call the other 48 States.
You definately need some anti-psychotic drugs Herb.
Impeach Sebelius………….on what grounds?
Put the state of Kansas on probation? That piece of ranting doesn’t even merit a response.
Sorry about the cancer, but you are also in need of psychological services.
Hummmmmmmmmmm
81% of Americans say government should pay attention to polls.
In contrast to Vice President Dick Cheney’s dismissive attitude toward Americans’ dissatisfaction with the Iraq war, a recent World Public Opinion poll found that 81 percent of Americans believe that “when making ‘an important decision,’ government leaders ’should pay attention to public opinion polls because this will help them get a sense of the public’s views.’” Moreover, in a sharp rebuke to White House press secretary Dana Perino’s recent claim that Americans only “have input every four years” regarding policy matters, the poll also found that “94 percent say that government leaders should pay attention to the views of the public between elections.”
Apophis - take it easy on poor Herb. He is our comic relief.
What is a ‘call-back-petition anyway? Isn’t the term RECALL?
Sorry Ben…………I can any stomach so much in the way of incoherent ranting!
Besides, there is a waiting list for first chair comic relief. I can hear the jockeying for position.
Global Cooling Update
Duffy: “Can you tell us about NASA’s Aqua satellite, because I understand some of the data we’re now getting is quite important in our understanding of how climate works?”
Marohasy: “That’s right. The satellite was only launched in 2002 and it enabled the collection of data, not just on temperature but also on cloud formation and water vapour. What all the climate models suggest is that, when you’ve got warming from additional carbon dioxide, this will result in increased water vapour, so you’re going to get a positive feedback. That’s what the models have been indicating. What this great data from the NASA Aqua satellite … (is) actually showing is just the opposite, that with a little bit of warming, weather processes are compensating, so they’re actually limiting the greenhouse effect and you’re getting a negative rather than a positive feedback.”

“Global Cooling Update”
Oh ‘outlander’, you better fasten your seat belt, ‘cosmos’ is going to be all over you for citing that, and about a lack of peer review and other such rants.
A short-term plateau when you should expect cyclical ENSO cooling is hardly a sign of ‘global cooling’:
http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=916&tstamp=200803
“the winter also ranked much above average in temperature–it was the 16th warmest December through February period in the 128-year global record”
Sarah, too bad you’re such a homophobe. The man is a reporter, who cares about his sexual preference?
Besides you and Fred Phelps,I mean.
Nah Boxlock, I think Cosmos secretly likes it when I post “Global Cooling Updates”. Keeps him on his toes and reminds everyone that everything doesn’t fit in a tidy little climate model. Question global warming orthodoxy. Question global cooling too.

You mean a known homosexual being given constant access to the whitehouse bedroom is not a story?
=================================
Sarah, I agree that this IS a story… however, nothing in your link supports your allegation that Gannon/Guckert had access to the Presidential Residence on his visits… Might want to be careful on things like that…
That said, it would seem that this guy did have extraordinary access to the White House at those times listed… And it seems that THOSE visits should at least be looked into… since he WAS a known “male escort”, etc.
KMA boxlock…………
I think Herb lives in a parallel universe… not the same one as the rest of us… Has problems with the language too!!
“The records furnished by the Service are unlikely to finally answer who approved Gannon’s “temporary” day passes into the presidential residence. The Service keeps a record of who approved passes only for the last sixty days; previous records are kept by the White House.”
Sorry Chas, I took this to mean the president’s private living areas. I see now it could be read another way.
Well, Sarah, its curious enough as it is… without him being in the living quarters!! LOL
Hey Sarah, while you are looking at Gannon/Guckert, take a look see, and find out whats available about at least TWO private meetings held between Bush and the Top Dawg Right Wing Talk Radio Moguls in the past year… meetings in the Oval Office…
Sounds like strategy meetings to me!! Talk about “buying” news, or “advertising”
maybe that explains GWB’s funny grin some mornings …
They ALL bragged about being invited to the meetings… but NONE of them said what was discussed DURING the meetings!! :-D
Somehow, holidays and kids just seem to go together — We really need to teach them better >>>>
Subject: A Child’s Book Report on the Entire Bible
Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2008 06:48:17 -0400
A Child’s Book Report on the Entire Bible - A child was told to write a book report on the entire Bible. This is amazing. I wonder how often we take for granted that children understand what we are teaching?
Through the eyes of a child:
Children’s Bible in a Nutshell
In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, ‘The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that. Anyway, God s aid, ‘Give me a light!’ and someone did. Then God made the world.
He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren’t embarrassed because mirrors hadn’t been invented yet. Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden. Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn’t have cars.
Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel. Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something.
One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check.
After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.
Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston. Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh’s people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable. God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti.
Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments. These include don’t lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor’s stuff. Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother.
One of Moses’ best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town.
After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn’t sound very wise to me.
After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets. One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed upon the shore. There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don’t have to worry about them.
After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the star of the New Testament. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a barn, too, because my mom is always saying to me, ‘Close the door! Were you born in a barn?’ It would be nice to say yes.
During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Republicans. Jesus also had twelve opossums. The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him.
Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount. But the Republicans and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn’t stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.
Any way’s, Jesus died for our sins then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

VOCATUS ATQUE NON VOCATUS DEUS ADERIT
(”Bidden or not bidden, God is present”)
outlander,
I don’t mind if you prove that you are unable to understand the simplest basics about climate.
From your link:
“Duffy asked Marohasy: “Is the Earth stillwarming?”
She replied: “No, actually, there has been cooling, if you take 1998 as your point of reference. If you take 2002 as your point of reference, then temperatures have plateaued. This is certainly not what you’d expect if carbon dioxide is driving temperature because carbon dioxide levels have been increasing but temperatures have actually been coming down over the last 10 years.” ”
1) “Climate” is generally taken over a 30-year period, not a one-year reference point like “1998″ or “2002″.
2) El Nino causes short-term warming.
3) La Nina causes short-term cooling.
4) Lower solar activity causes cooling.
1998 had extra warming added, caused by a record El Nino.
2007 had extra cooling added, caused by a La Nina, and a solar minimum.
2007 tied 1998.
Why did 2007, with natural cooling factors, tie 1998, which had a strong natural warming factor?
Answer: Gradual, long-term warming, mostly caused by human-added GHG’s.
Pretty amusing Chas.
I knew that you would say that Cosmos.
OK, so as soon as the La Nina is gone, the temperature is going to shoot right up?
Okay, this is changing the subject somewhat, but…..nothing turns me on like refuting the claims of the all-knowing…..
As further proof that pro-choicers are not: 1) callous; 2) man-haters; 3) frustrated men; 4) wayward werchins enamored of cheap sex with multiple, nameless partners for fun and profit……I have the following to relate.
Listen up, Kansans (a largely pro-life state): You’re about to lose your werchinity:
Last night on ABC-TV’s 20/20, the program concentrated on something called The Bunny Ranch. This legalized Harum is evidently housed in a domicile where prostitution itself is legal; no one is raped or coerced; Larry Flynt and his mangled munchmouth is nowhere in sight; it’s just a high-priced ho’down for those who seek it.
And profit from it.
And therein lies my point. It’s women profiting from this promiscuous profligacy - not the men. Of course, the men are adults who have made their own choices in this behavior. However, several of the broads in this piece admitted with alacrity that, when they see a man, “they see dollar signs.”
This disrespect and dissolution is contrary to any tenets of any mainstream faith. However, I don’t have the right to demand that others, certainly consenting adults, emotionalize this issue the same way I do.
I am who I am; I can’t help it. I’m the product of my own experience; I can’t help that, either. Watching 20/20 last night was like unwittingly watching porno; it makes me so sad I want to cry - copiously. And I don’t think that’s the effect the porno purveyors are going for - nor is the proprietor of the Bunny Ranch (a big, fat f–k who takes a hefty chunk of the women’s income, not that I care).
One either believes that sexuality has spiritual properties, or one does not. And I don’t see anything spiritual in “lookin’ at a man and wondering how much I could ‘git’ from him.”
Last night, I felt the same way as I did nearly two yaers ago when a big, ugly, mannish policewoman mistakenly thought I was a prostitute. I was so horrified that I burst into tears.
Should people who regard their own sexuality - and that of others - be parents? In my opinion, the answer is a resounding “no.” Are all pro-choicers devoid of feelings? I believe I’ve just provided the answer to that.
outlander,
Yes, unless there’s a major volcanic eruption, like Pinatubo, that causes some short-term cooling.
“lookin’ at a man and wondering how much I could ‘git’ from him.”
I know some man-hating gold-diggers right here in Wichita who fit that mold perfectly.
Scientist explains ‘global warming stopped a decade ago’…
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,23411799-7583,00.html
“Duffy: “The climate is actually, in one way anyway, more robust than was assumed in the climate models?”
Marohasy: “That’s right … These findings actually aren’t being disputed by the meteorological community. They’re having trouble digesting the findings, they’re acknowledging the findings, they’re acknowledging that the data from NASA’s Aqua satellite is not how the models predict, and I think they’re about to recognise that the models really do need to be overhauled and that when they are overhauled they will probably show greatly reduced future warming projected as a consequence of carbon dioxide.”
Duffy: “From what you’re saying, it sounds like the implications of this could beconsiderable …”
Marohasy: “That’s right, very much so. The policy implications are enormous. The meteorological community at the moment is really just coming to terms with the output from this NASA Aqua satellite and (climate scientist) Roy Spencer’s interpretation of them. His work is published, his work is accepted, but I think people are still in shock at this point.”
If Marohasy is anywhere near right about the impending collapse of the global warming paradigm, life will suddenly become a whole lot more interesting.
A great many founts of authority, from the Royal Society to the UN, most heads of government along with countless captains of industry, learned professors, commentators and journalists will be profoundly embarrassed. Let us hope it is a prolonged and chastening experience.
With catastrophe off the agenda, for most people the fog of millennial gloom will lift, at least until attention turns to the prospect of the next ice age. Among the better educated, the skeptical cast of mind that is the basis of empiricism will once again be back in fashion. The delusion that by recycling and catching public transport we can help save the planet will quickly come to be seen for the childish nonsense it was all along.
Oh my gosh it’s HOT outside  …no it’s COLD outside :( …no now it’s HOT outside again…now it’s COLD again  . Oh, I can’t decide, maybe I’ll just live happy and not ’sweat’ it. :-D:
Ops, should have been;
I’ll just live happy and not ’sweat’ it.
This just in!
John McCain says there is evidence that China is training members of Al-Quaeda to fight against America. Terrorists were reported being seen tossing large balls of lead, javelins and using long poles to jump into the presumably to get past walls on American bases.
This comes on the heels of a report by McCain that he’s planning on bombing Al-Abama. McCain reports that the translation for Al-Abama is “I am a bomber and planning to attack America using something code named Crimson Tide which McCain can only describe as a planned bloodbath.
McCain also called upon military leaders to develop a war plan to get them durn kids outta his lawn.

TOO funny!
Oh Lord A-mighty………
Are we gonna have a re-peat of 2004? Is the Republican gonna win?
Should the Songbird be writin’ out her will? Or feeding on her own flesh?
Thank goodness for humor. I just made up and told a joke about Ann Coulter to a colleague (on our lunch break) and he convulsed in laughter. It was sick; it was sicker; it was the sickest.
That’s what the idea of McCain as prezzie does to me……

JR,
Thanks! That was “TOO funny!”
I sent it to my granddaughter who loves cats.
A “Call Back Petition”, calls back your vote and it is directed at a “Write In Candidate or Choice”. A Recall, recalls the vote and gives it to the other candidate on the ballet. I dont want a recall to be given to the other candidate, I want it given as a “Write In”. She can be Impeached for stealing money from Medicaid and Medicare, using the Mansion as a bussiness for her sons games, doing personal agenda bussiness instead of doing Kansas Governor work, stealing from KPERS, refusing to represent the best interest of Kansas, etc:>>> I know the difference between a “Call Back” and a “Recall”. Under a “Call Back” we had to be registered voters and have had to have voted. Those are the only people elligible to “Call Back” their vote and give it to whom they choose. Why is my caring about others above my own needs comical??? I find it comical and stupid that people except the crap from the Government and idiots who praise them!!!! Herbert West III, west.herb@yahoo.com P.S. The other States have the right to audit Kansas and too make sure it is not getting Federal Taxes and Resources Illegaly. The other states are told “NON” while Governor Sebelius is told keep stealing!!!!!!!!!! HLWIII west.herb@yahoo.com
Good luck with that, Herbster. When you are finished, perhaps you can find some other windmills to tilt at.
Dingbat.
Herb, even if you get a Call Back, do you honestly believe the people of Kansas are going to vote for YOU to be Governor?? Whast kind of meds are you out of??
What is it that Meds need too correct?? What is it that I have done?? I expose corruption and want America fixxed and you want drugs?? Who has the problem????????????? Herb West III west.herb@yahoo.com
Next big thing………..the Pope is going to baptize a prominent Italian Moslem on Easter Sunday in Rome. Watch for the huge outcry from you know where.
On a lighter note, we recently bought a Roomba and a Scooba for the house. We wondered how the dogs would react.
The Schnauzer was mildly interested at first but then just ignored them. The first day she would follow the Scooba around but since she’s been pretty indifferent.
Samson sniffed the Roomba the first day but now doesn’t even notice it. He can lay down and sleep in a room it is running in and doesn’t even move when it bumps into him!
They seem to do a pretty good job, we’ve got a Roomba ordered for the clinic.
Herb West - a legend in his own mind.
If you have some evidence; if you have proof; present it. Not rantings; hard proof.
And, even if we did a “call back”; why would we choose YOU?
BTW - your definition of a recall giving it to the other candidate is dead wrong. Check California that did a RECALL and choose a new governor.
Hank - it would really be fun to watch with a CAT!
OMGosh, Komrade is Guckert!
Hey Ben,
Maybe. They’re about 15 inches in diameter and rather compact. A little too big for a cat to play with.
They fascinate me. You can program them with a remote for various functions and times. They talk to you! When their battery gets low they go to their docking station and recharge!
Better put one of those Bike flags on it with a little ball attached to the end of it Hank.
You know some klutz like me would trip over it for sure. :D
Bike flag wouldn’t work. They’re only about 4 inches high. They can go under the bed, couch and stuff.
When they are done they go back to their docking station. They make a little noise while working, the chance of falling over them are slim.
We’ve been programing them and going to work. Come home to a nice clean floor!
Cool…I might look into one of those, do they work on carpet?
Herb — I am thinking about Meds for that Delusional problem you seem to be having… OK??
Why not choose me? I can stabalize the budget, I wont coward down too the House or Senate, I will put Kansas Citizens ahead of myself, I will restore the Unity of the United States of America, I wont hide behind a Federal Husband as his “Hoe”, I wont use the Governors Mansion as an Obsenity Gift Shop, I wont look for ways to scr@w over everyone because I have “Breasts”, I wont flaunt my tired old a@@ around just too get idiots like riled up, and I wont surf Junior Highschools with “Pigs” looking for dates because full grown girls can laugh thru my weaka@@ approaches at relationships!!!!!!! Basically, I would Govern, not front stupidity and excuses!!!!!!!!!!Herbert West III, the peoples Governor, not the Feds “HOE”!!!!!!!!!
Chas, Steven Andrew Culp, from “Hutchison” rings a bell. Backwards in thought signified in backwards in communication, and stature sir. Herb West III.
Hey Mary!
http://store.irobot.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2501652&cp=2174940
The Roomba is a vacuum cleaner. It is designed to work on carpet.
We bought the Roomba/Scooba value package and got a free DirtDog.
The DirtDog is a sweeper that Dave could use in his shop/hanger. It’s not a vacuum but it will swee up nails and bolts!
Joyce just loves them!
Hank?? Whaat’s the price range on one of those things?? And ummmm how come you need TWO of them??
Herb?
Are you often pursued by large groups of squirrels with hungry eyes?
Hey Chas,
http://store.irobot.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2501652&cp=2174940
Check out the link. The Scooba scrubs the floor. The Roomba vacuums. We use the DirtDog downstairs in the family room to sweep up the dog debris the Beardies track in.
We’ve basically, systematically replaced all the carpet in the house with wood or tile. With Beardies carpet is impossible!
Less than most and more than some. I tend too get this living in the country and feeding wildlife and watching them thrive in harmony. It helps me meditate in “KI”. “Ai”, is harmony in self, “KI” is harmony in ones enviroment. “Do”, combines the 2. “AiKiDo” is great for meditating and enjoying life. You can learn alot from the enviroment if you learn too see it and not allways spending time trying to control it and destroy what you cannot understand or cotrol. Human nature is shared, not owned. Not all things are nuts, just different in views and heart and the interpretaions of motives and intentions in that interaction.!! Herbert West III west.herb@yahoo.com
Thanks Hank.. looks most interesting… wife is getting more and more leaning toward invalid status… gotta do something…
Herb, I just dont know what you think you have that qualifies you to be dog catcher, let alone governor!! And, you might want to give some thought as to how in the sam hill ANY governor, can bring Unity to the Nation!! That in itself puts you on my unqualified list!! Sorry!! IF you want Madame Governor gone, explore a RECALL Election… I do not believe KS has a Call Back option!! LOL Good luck!!
No problem Chas,
They require a little work, gotta keep the brushes cleaned and they have filters to clean but they really seem to do a good job. My wife loves them.
We took the DirtDog to the clinic and turned it loose at night. I generally take care of the cleaning at the clinic and with me being broken up it’s a big help.
Hank, See! There is something I could easily do! I’m close and it would help.
Ben, Hope Coach had a good talk with your Bruins at halftime! This is a hard one for me ’cause I’m thinking of you, but, but, the competition is a a Big 12 team and it is Turgeon!
KSA: 25-4323 provides the statute of “Recall Petitions”. Other statutes state the Call back options. I stand corrected that the majority use the term or terms “Recall Petionn”. The KSA is at kansas.gov under Legislature. It explains the time frames and procedure to “Recall” elected officals. We cannot do this 120 after they enter office or 180 days before they are scheduled to leave as a elected official. Herbert West III west.herb@yahoo.com She is removable under KSA: 25-4323. 25-4305 also touches on this. And also, she gets credit and national merit, yet anyone who wants to remove her is a “Fool” to say they can Unite the United States as a Governor? She abuses the State resources and touches Federal Resources Illegally which sabatoges the United tone and integrity of the United States of America. Again, if as Governor I stop sabatoging the State and abusing Federal Resources for personal agenda, this would return Kansas to the Inegrity of the “United States of America”!! I also stand corrected. It is worded as Recall not Call Back. HLWIII west.herb@yahoo.com
“I wont coward down too the House or Senate,”
Don’t you mean “I won’t cow down … “?
“I wont surf Junior Highschools with “Pigs” looking for dates”
What the heck does THAT mean Herb?
For a “publisher” you sure seem to have a lot of difficulty with the English language!
Linda - I may be going into mourning tonight!
;(
Hank - clinic? Vet?
HAPPY EASTER EVEYBODY!!
HAVE A GREAT DAY TOMORROW!!!
The House and Senate passed a measure and put into Law that the age for consentual sex without parental permission is 16 in Kansas. It used to be 18. 25% of Highschool girls have sexually transmitted diseases. This is gravely less for Highschool boys. Who would these girls sleep with to get the 25% of the transmitted diseases? Adult aged men. I see cops with babies all the time. They date 16 year old girls because old Representatives and Senators state, “They are dating anyways, letrs lower the age and lessen the load on the Jails and Prisons for underage sex. If we lower the age it is know legal, thus we can date and have sex with 16 year old babies. Most children graduate highschool at 16 years old. The increase in teen pregnancy is in the junior high age. Thus, highschool girls are increasing in sexualy transmitted diseases, and highschool boys are relatively un changed in % of diseases, then the junior high girls are targets. They are increasing in pregnancy faster. If you have un protected sex you can get a sexualy transmitted disease. Thus, if these girls are increasing in disease %’s they are increasing is sexual activity. The drug companies know this. How, GlaxoSmithKline makes a weaker birth control pill for less mature girls. It is a lower estrogen thatn the original formula. The pill is for younger girls. 12 to 18 years in age. The original is for girls 18 and over. This is what I mean by “Pigs” surfing the Junior Highschools. They cannot get a grown mature woman to stay with them or they cannot bluff them with their macho crap. So the intice babies with cars, homes and money. It is not all the cops, just enough to piss me off. I am 41, I have been offered sex and favors of immaturity to supply booze and other things by young girls. I refuse. This is not my option. Kansas Law is changing so that it is the option of some. Setting Laws with the intention of sexing a 12 to 16 year old baby as a grown man. This is sad and weak!!! They need to grow up. i am not jealous, I just dont believe in sabatoging school, college, good jobs and futures for a quick toss in the sack with someones baby because I convinced some old Rep or Senator to help me get laid!!!!!! Lets lower the age of alcohol because they do it anyways. Lets help remove inhabitions with booze because babies become easier targets when they are drunk. They notice less about our weak as$e$ when they are drunk. Its ok, your Old State Rep and Senator can override your parent. If they complain we arrest and harrass them. They need taught a lesson for voting for us and then demanding we leave the children alone. Kansas needs to grow up!!!! Herbert West III, west.herb@yahoo.com
Ben, This is the problem with single-elimination tournaments. The best team doesn’t always win since any team can have a great or an off night. It does look like they are coming back with a vegenance and will pull off the win. Sometimes a hard fought win does them good! With just less than six minutes left, it’s lookin’ much better for the Bruins! I’m proud of Tx A & M for their game!
I’m not a publisher — good thing too! I have trouble with this small keyboard on the laptop. (That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!)
Thanks Linda!
I’m really doing OK. We’ve had half a dozen patients offer to help and all in all we’ve got about a gallon of homemade chicken soup!
Nathan came in and helped every day last week and helped me with my little chores in the clinic. He’s on spring break and he would come out and feed the horses and goats then go home and change and come to work in the clinic.
Most days he then left the clinic and went to his job until 11:30 or 12:00 at night. He’s been a big help.
I can use my right hand and the surgeon took the splint off my left arm. I haven’t much strength or range of motion in my left arm but at least I can take showers again. Can’t drive my truck yet, not enough strength but I’m getting there.
Because of the location of the break in my left arm it’s a bigger concern than my right shoulder. It will take 6 to 8 weeks to mend and the surgeon says I’ll never be able to fully extend it or have full range of motion.
Other than doctor’s appointments I haven’t missed any work. I can answer the phone (speaker phone, can’t bring a receiver to my ear yet) and do the computer entry, billing, etc.,
The neighbors have been great, we live in a great little community. With all the food they have brought over I’ve gained back all the weight this month that I worked so hard to lose in Janyary and February.
I do appreciate your offer and I know it’s sincere! But I’m really doing OK. Actually went out this evening and yesterday evening and let Samson work goats. It’s been really hard on him, we usually go out at least twice a day.
Don’t really need help, but feel free to stop by and point and laugh if you want to. I’d like you to meet Joyce!

Vet?
———————–
Also spelled as “Kowtow” - Chinese word meaning to bow where the head touches the floor. Sorry don’t know the Chinese spelling. :D
WOW! What a finish!
Typical UCLA - they are trying to kill me!
;)
I love seeing Dick Enberg announcing. I remember him as a young man doing UCLA games on Channel 5 ‘way back when’!
Hank - take care. We fight but that is different!
“Most children graduate highschool at 16 years old” Herb - you don’t have a clue!
Linda - single elimination is pretty much what they have to do with 64 teams (after play-in). Otherwise we would be at this forever. Although that wouldn’t be all bad!
Congrats to your team Ben and to you for surviving another. As a long-time Kansas fanatic I’ve been there and totally understand how hard it is!
I’d take forever.
It sure is hard when they pan the camera to the kids that lost. Especially in a close hard fought game that was lost in the final seconds like this one tonight.
Linda - if it’s UCLA-KU at the end join me at Players. I’ll be the outcast in the corner!
;)
