    Always wanted to be first;

The voters of Kansas may seem to have short memories, but not so short that they won’t remember come November, and they will have many, many reminders of who votes against tightening up and enforcing our illegal immigration laws. There are a lot of very sincere and dedicated people watching this subject and are not going to just go away.

    Preserving and Protecting OUR Borders

Once Kansas passes one or more of the proposed anti-illegal immigration laws, such as Senate Bill 458, and actually enforces them, those choosing to come here illegally will be voluntarily choosing to subject themselves to the hardships they consequently encounter. I hope most are smart enough to stay home and work to make their own country a better place to live, or go through the legal process of immigration.

One of the foundational aspect of the fiduciary responsibilities of government, and your responsibility as a Kansas Legislator, is the protection of the citizen and our economies through the passage of law. Neither the Federal government or the State of Kansas is presently fulfilling their respective responsibilities with regard to the invasion of illegal aliens. What laws we have covering illegal immigration are being to large extent ignored and this causes a disrespect for the law in general which can spread to other areas besides just immigration.

Those lining up against laws protecting our state from illegal invasion are doing so out of economic self-interest. They want cheap labor, much of which is off the books — no taxes, no unemployment, no workers’ compensation, etc. –while the taxpaying citizen is paying for their illegal workers’ education, health care, criminal justice costs, etc. This is prostituting the assets of the state of Kansas and its citizens and robbing the state of needed tax revenue. Oklahoma’s House Bill 1804 and Arizona’s House Bill 2779 have done an excellent job in this respect. Arizona’s bill was recently tested in the courts and found to be fully legal.

We need to follow suit as soon as possible.

    Happy St. Patrick’s Day?

‘New’ Ireland’s changes go more than skin-deep
Country long known as a land of emigrants is transformed by migrants

PORTLAOISE, Ireland - As revelers worldwide celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a pint of Guinness, dyed-green milk or visions of red-bearded leprechauns, it’s a good bet that few of them will have Rotimi Adebari in mind.

But, for those seeking an authentic vision of today’s Ireland, perhaps they should.

The election last year of Nigerian-born Adebari as mayor of Portlaoise is the most prominent manifestation of the changes sweeping this island, which is rapidly evolving from a land of emigration into one of immigration, where at least 1 in 10 people is foreign-born.

St Paddy’s Day is a drunk for most.
It should not be a national holiday.

Personally, I enjoy a few pints of green colored
beer (or any color for that matter).
But it’s for fun. Not really honoring anyone.

If they want a national holiday, it should be for the day AFTER, so everyone can recover.

    http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/03/16/obama-team-presses-clinton-on-ethics/

Obama communications director Robert Gibbs called on Clinton to release full post-White House tax returns; disclose all congressional “earmarks,” or pet projects she had inserted into spending bills; and to release all documents pertaining to activities to the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Library, including a list of donors.

“What is lurking in those documents?” Gibbs asked as the two campaigns had dueling phone conference calls with reporters. “There are gaps that need to be filled,” said senior Obama strategist David Axelrod.

Clinton Library Builder’s CFO Disappears Amid Audit
    Sunday, March 16, 2008

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — John Glasgow had a healthy salary, with an opportunity to pick up stock in the construction company where he worked. He was the kind of guy who paid back a $500 bonus he got for completing an anti-smoking program because he started to light up again.

But now Glasgow has been missing since Jan. 28, with his car found abandoned the next day, and family and police say it’s impossible to tell whether he killed himself, was abducted or left to start a new life elsewhere.

If this doesn’t hit your “Oh my God, you’ve got to be kidding” button, nothing will:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/mar/16/youthjustice.children

A sample of enlightened European thinking:

“‘If we have a primary means of identifying people before they offend, then in the long-term the benefits of targeting younger people are extremely large,’ said Pugh. ‘You could argue the younger the better. Criminologists say some people will grow out of crime; others won’t. We have to find who are possibly going to be the biggest threat to society.’”

    Oy.

But how do we avoid stigmatizing those budding miscreants? Why, DNA sample them all, of course. After all, it’s “for the children.” Why, if you don’t plan on your newly-born infant doing anything wrong, what have you got to hide . . .

And Europeon-style “democracy” is what some here advocate for this country. This is the result of a nation newly wracked with violent crime, ready to try anything.

And much of the new crime wave follows directly on the heels of Britian’s policy barring the private ownership of firearms. Is there a lesson here?

From this side of the pond, there’s this, as we adopt the British example:

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23647272

    Ooops.

The red-light cameras aren’t paying for themselves, so they’re being shut down. I thought these were all about safety? Hmmmmm? I guess when dollars are lacking, safety takes a back seat . . .

BTW: In Britian, they call them Gatsos - and here is what some Britons do to them.

    http://www.speedcam.co.uk/gatso2.htm

It appears the spirit of Churchill is not entirely dead, thankfully. But the authorities are doing their best to kill it off:

If we monitor every car journey, that might lead us to people who are stopping at MickeyD’s and eating unhealthy food. These people can be excluded from the socialized medicine plans.

We could also detect “joy riders”, who are wasting gas. Maybe make them pay some carbon taxes..

If we suspect people are driving to democrat or republican party offices, fund raisers, or party functions, we could then embark on even more investigations using electronic survellance of credit card purchases, telephones, and computers.

All in the interest of the socialist state.

I don’t mean to beat this topic into the ground, but……

This evening is March 17 - it’s the season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” - and this aged antique (is that redundant?) can’t wait.

I just want to ask everyone again: Please vote to keep Adam Carolla on the show. This is not an unreasonable request: Marie Osmond was kept on the show long after her non-existent dancing abilities should have compelled her communing with the ghost of Brigham Young.

Last but not least, Mr. Carolla introduced something wonderful back in the mid-1990’s. Something unheard-of. Something groundbreaking. It was called “The Adam Carolla Genitalia Collection Society.” It was formed for people just like my icky-poo ex: dudes who keep impregnating and impregnating and behaving fouly and getting away with it - time and time and time again. Allow me to quote the Funnyman thusly:

“Take a look at this jacka$$: He knocks up here - he knocks up there - he knocks up everywhere! And we’re left taking care of this guy’s mess! And I’m (expletive deleted but treasured) sick of it!”

The Very First Man has a lovely wife named Lynette - and two twin babies. In 1997, Adam joyfully attested that he loved Lynette for many things - not the least of which was her niceness and innate goodness. He had dated his fair share of skanky chicks, he said - and for once he had found a jewel. “I’m very, very happy,” the lovable comic said.

And his tallest devotee is happy for him in turn.

Oh, I just can’t WAIT to see him tonight! MTV took Loveline off the air nearly a decade ago - and Wichita is a helluva long way from KROQ in L.A. - so I can’t listen to Adam all that much any longer.

But I’ll always love him. ‘Cause he’s just so darned lovable.

Jason Watkins is in a public office and asked to be representative for the entire 105 District. This isn’t a private matter. He asked to work for me as a resident of that district he wants to represent. He makes decisions about how tax monies will be spent. That includes MY money! I’m not his employee, he should be mine and others who live in the 105 District.

You deal with your public elected officials privately if you like. I deal with public people in public ways.

A good piece on the Bush economy here:

“If George W. Bush had read The Pet Goat to his Economic Club of New York audience on Friday, his speech would have been no less infantile. If the first 9/11 was caused by a massive failure of intelligence about terrorism, the second 9/11 — the slow-motion collapse of the American, and maybe the global, economy — has been caused by a catastrophic failure of intelligence about Wall Street rapacity. If the now five-year-old Iraq war was the inevitable, tragic consequence of the neoconservatives’ Project for the New American Century, then the subprime mortgage quagmire, the Bear Stearns bailout, and the foreclosure fiasco are the foreordained outcome of the Republican ideology which holds that regulation of corporate financial behavior is the domestic equivalent of Islamofascism.”

Autumn Kersey, vice president of development and marketing for Planned Parenthood of Idaho, is the one who in July said “understandable” in accepting a phoned-in donation from an actor working for the UCLA magazine “The Advocate” pretending to have the philanthropic incentive of “the less black kids out there, the better.”
This is not a fundraising employee who would be unaware of Planned Parenthood’s principles and practices, or acting contrary to them. Planned Parenthood employees responded the same way to the ruse in all 6 other states as well. Planned Parenthood has deliberately and ruthlessly targeted the black race for population reduction since its inception.
    - - -

Pro-abortion Democratic candidates Obamanation and Hog Futures Hillary joined a majority of the U.S. Senate Thursday night in rejecting 52-46 an amendment that would have offered financial support to poor pregnant women and their unborn children, as part of SCHIP, offering alternatives to mothers who contract the killing of their children in abortion mills because of financial problems. Instead, the Senate, with plenty of baby-hating RINO votes, passed the Boxer amendment, which includes taxpayer-funded abortion.
Is there a more abject poverty than that which demands the killing of your children for abatement?
    - - -

South Dakota is the 12th state to enact an abortion-ultrasound law, and Ohio could soon be next. Enforcing informed consent is reducing the number of abortions and abortion mill profits nationwide, and must be kept a high priority for the Kansas legislature and criminal justice system, corrupted even though they are by the abortion industry.
    - - -

The national organization in England for psychiatrists, the Royal College of Psychiatrists, says women should be told that abortions can cause mental health problems. The organization says abortion mills should tell women that abortions present numerous mental health risks such as depression, before committing an abortion.
    Well, Duhhh!
90% of Britain’s annual 200,000 abortions are, at least in part, for invalid mental health grounds. Abortion CAUSES mental health problems in mothers and fathers, but eliminates none. Furthermore, carrying a pregnancy to completion and birth has been shown in general to promote the longer and healthier life of the mother.

He lived a harsh existence at that time, in which he found comfort only in his Creator. Later he returned to his adopted country, founded 300 churches, and imposed his morality on a violent, pagan people that would eventually re-evangelize Europe.

What is it about State Banks in Kansas that makes them think that they do not have to report balances and accrued earnings to their customers on a regular basis or to describe fully their method for applying accrued earnings to a customer’s account?

It seems as if people who use State Banks in Kansas are not concerned about their assets. Why? Too much? Too little? If they were concerned, the Banks would certainly change their tactics about reporting. So what gives?

State Banks in Kansas now seem to take it as an imposition to put forth the effort to keep their customers informed.

Is it laziness? Or, could it be that the limits to reporting are for the purposes of obfuscating matters such that the Banks can put their proverbial thumbs on the scale when they compute earnings for the customer? This would be funny if it were not bordering on the truth.

Somewhat of an irony, the quote from MLK Jr. and Obama’s 20+ year lack of protesting against the Reverend Wright Jr….don’t you think.

Obama says he’s attended Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr racist church services for 20+ years and never…until now when he’s called on it, disavows the racist preacher. Has him officiate his wedding and baptize his kids. His actions speak louder than his words now.

Notice that Kristol is simply saying that the ‘Obama camp’ refuted the claim by someone else, Ronald Kessler in this case, and nothing more. Kristol simply ‘cited’ a report by Kessler that Kristol later retracts having sited. BUT the person originally making the report is NOT retracting it at all. Those idiots above are using two different mens statements as if they are the same.

The above quote was from William Kristol from the New York Times, a left wing rag about to go broke. It is NOT from the pen of Ronald Kessler, the journalist who has written about Wright’s ministry, and “claims that Obama was in fact in the pews at Trinity last July 22. That’s when Wright blamed the “arrogance” of the “United States of White America” for much of the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks. In any case, given the apparent frequency of such statements in Wright’s preaching and their centrality to his world view, the pretense that over all these years Obama had no idea that Wright was saying such things is hard to sustain.”

Here in lies a problem, Chas. I did not check it but the web site, at least this morning, reportedly the web site has changed somewhat today, said all sermons were archived. Could Obama have played back any sermons he missed; could any of his staff have checked the web site; for some reason it is hard to believe no one knew anything.

None the less, Kristol’s ‘retraction’ consisted of nothing more than one author citing another, and when when the Obama camp refutes Obama’s presents at the church, and what else could they do after all, KRISTOL retracts his citation of Kessler. After all what could he do, Kristol wasn’t there, only Kessler was, and he never retracted anything.
Now that that’s hopefully cleared up the fact remains…”In any case, given the apparent frequency of such statements in Wright’s preaching and their centrality to his world view, the pretense that over all these years Obama had no idea that Wright was saying such things is hard to sustain.”
Nobody can be that asleep week on week, year after year for 20+ years. Obama knew and knows exactly what the Reverend Wright is all about, that being black racism and anti-Americanism. And only now, when confronted, does Obama try to distance himself, but not before.

Most certainly most churches with multiple services are preached by the same pastor. After all the pastor writes the message, or at least prepares it according to the church calendar. A church isn’t going to have multiple pastors all writing different messages on the same Sunday. I’ve never been to a church where the sermons were given by different pastors.
And if you’ve never had recordings of your sermons requested, and I quote, “HUD, I have never had any congregants request a tape of a sermon, for about the past 5 - 6 years”, I’m sincerely sorry to say that says more about how well your sermons are received than it does about the congregants.

When he levels his barbed parables at the Pharisees… Not much gentility there… There are a lot of solid punches directed at the keepers of the status quo of His time… Many of us still follow that example…. The Jesus preaching and working for Justice… The Jesus who breaks the LAW of the church by healing a man on the Sabbath… and getting in the FACE of the ruling authorities!! Oh yea, lots of Social Gospel there… and he pulled no punches in doing so….

This is an especially good week to read all of those things again!! Holy Week is a great time for contemplation, and inner study!!

Ain’t nuthin wrong with the church website, but they gotta hide it for some reason.

The racist church must now try to downplay it’s reason for being.

    http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/03/17/trinity-united-church-of-christ-makes-changes-to-web-site/

The Chicago church of Barack Obama appears to be adjusting its Web site by relocating a section that outlined black ethics to be taught in homes, churches and schools.

The Web site for the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago had described its congregation as “unashamedly black and unapologetically Christian” but has made changes to the “About Us” section.

The section no longer contains the “Black Value System.” It has been replaced with videotaped testimonials by church members.

Why dont you quote the whole context, Max?? Cause it makes you look STUPID if you do???

“When I was in Sioux City, we had a weekly TV broadcast, on local access cable TV!!!”

Now, thats the rest of what I said about taped sermons!! Now if you cant figure that out Max, then , well, nevermind!!

Comparison to Romney! Look what happened to Mitt after his speech!

    LOL

    http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/03/17/under-pressure-obama-prepares-for-race-and-unity-speech/

Barack Obama is preparing to deliver a major address Tuesday on race, politics and unifying the country after being hounded by questions about his relationship to a pastor whose sermons have been laced with anti-American invective.

In a speech whose religious significance could compare to one given in December by former GOP presidential hopeful and Mormon Mitt Romney, Obama may be forced to explain the philosophy of the 8,000-strong Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, where the Democratic presidential candidate has been a congregant for 20 years.

I’m sure they archived those Sioux City tapes somewhere.

Should be real interesting to watch.

Max shows how our candidate will swiftboated this time around.

One problem–people like Obama. They really like him.

    McBush, not so much.

Max - you would not vote for Obama under any circumstances, so why do you think your opinion on this issue has merit?

  124. Posted March 17, 2008 at 10:51 pm | Permalink

    Hehe, good point, Clark.

I was wondering the same thing. Max has never voted for anybody except for a RepubliCON in his entire benighted life.

Obama could be re-incarnated as Barry Goldwater, and Max would still vote for McBush.

Next to the dictionary definition of “useful idiot” in the dictionary there’s a picture of Max.

  125. Posted March 17, 2008 at 10:51 pm | Permalink

Actually, Max, unfortunately the Sioux City services were not archived by the local access transmitter…. And the tapes, owned by the congregation, were simply used again the following week… So, they are Pooof Gone!!

Anybody wonder how in the world Limbaugh managed to buy the performance rights for the music to “Barack the Magic Negro” from Peter, Paul, and Mary??? Maybe El-Rushbo is in violation of copyright laws???

And with his constant ranting at Republicans to cross over and vote for Hillary in the Democrat primaries… Isnt that really close to borderline Election Fraud?? Since Limbaugh is doing it across state lines, and he even brags about what he is doing?? I wonder if anybody has looked into the legality of what he is doing?? And not just Rush, but the others who have joined his “countdown to chaos” as he called it this morning… He is intentionally admitting he is attempting to throw the Democrat Party into chaos….

    I do hope somebody investigates…

I can’t wait to hear Obama’s great speech. I found this draft in an email sent to me from one of my sources:

    1. I slept in church and didn’t pay attention, never heard any bad comments from Rev Wright, if I was there I was sleeping, but I had a dream…..

    2. I dreamt about how I can unite this God damned country we live in. (No I can’t tell you how yet, but I’ll tell you later)

    3. I will unite all of the United KKK States of America. (No, I can’t tell you how yet, but I’ll tell you later)

    4. I know what it’s like to be in a land controlled by rich white people, but obviously I can see both sides, so I understand, and I can help unite all sides. (No, I can’t tell you how yet, but I’ll tell you later)

    5. The government didn’t lie about inventing HIV to kill blacks, they just forgot to tell us about it, but I can unite everyone on this. (No, I can’t tell you how yet, but I’ll tell you later)

    6. America didn’t deserve 911, but we weren’t so innocent either, I mean we were asking for it and I can unite America on this. (No, I can’t tell you how yet, but I’ll tell you later)

    7. And I know Hillary has never been called a “N” word, but I’ll solve that problem too!

    8. And Bill was sorta doing things to blacks like he did to Monica, I mean riding hard and all, but I’ll make sure that stops now. (No, I can’t tell you how yet, but I’ll tell you later)

Well, that’s my last and final comments on this most private matter between me and my preacher man and God, so I won’t be taking any questions.

    Have a nice day y’all!

Obama Better Give A Great God Damn Speech Tuesday!

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/03/poll-shows-rev.html

Poll shows Rev. Jeremiah Wright hurting Barack Obama

Who knows how long the Rev. Jeremiah Wright brouhaha will play out, but revelations of Barack Obama’s pastor’s objectionable sermons have apparently eroded public perceptions of Obama, according to a fresh analysis by the Rasmussen Report tracking poll.

With the Wright episode playing out over the past few days, the poll found Obama’s favorable rating nationally had dropped five points to 47% since Thursday, and his unfavorable rating had risen from 44% to 50%. Among white voters, the unfavorable numbers jumped to 54%. The poll also found John McCain leading both Obama and Hillary Clinton in head-to-head national matchups, whereas a week ago they they were essentially tied.

Obama was a dumbshit for bringing Wright up and ever mentioning his name, especially in his book. But Obama did have to somehow deny his Muslim faith.

No Chas you don’t, but neither do you find a Jesus that is out of control in disagreement and hate. He got them riled up enough to to tortuously kill him but he was always in control and authority.

Since many of the DemLibs fail to read good commentary I thought I’d provide excerpts of an intellectual treat this morning from David Limbaugh.

“We all know that one’s character cannot be separated from his actions, as the latter springs from the former. Voters must satisfy themselves about a candidate’s character since his character will have an impact on their lives.

The racist, anti-American rantings of Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s spiritual mentor and pastor of the church Obama attended for 20 years, raise many red flags about Obama’s supposedly best selling point: his unique capability for healing societal divisions.

Considering our deep-seated societal disagreements over cultural and political issues, promises by politicians to end societal divisiveness are dubious enough on their face. But when the promiser’s personal history contradicts his promises, even further scrutiny is required.
Before this story heated up beyond the mainstream media’s ability to suppress it, Obama casually dismissed the pastor’s tirades merely as “controversial” remarks — as if they had some legitimacy and were not outright indefensible but in any event should not be taken too seriously.

We must recognize the double standard that liberals typically apply to immunize themselves from accountability for bigotry. When the remotest connection can be inferred between a conservative and a bigoted supporter, there is always hell to pay. No excuses are permitted. Guilt attaches — not even by so much as true association but by passive receipt of an endorsement from anyone the left believes to have bigoted views.

Liberals, on the other hand, can be overtly racist toward conservative blacks like Condoleezza Rice and Clarence Thomas and earn accolades rather than condemnation. And in Obama’s case, we have more than passive receipt of an endorsement. We have more than guilt by casual association.”

    My,my…ain’t it the truth.
