Controversy continues to dog Kline

klinearmscrossed.jpgThe Johnson County Commission hasn’t decided yet whether to cut off funding for two special prosecutors that District Attorney Phill Kline appointed to investigate former Attorney General Paul Morrison. The commissioners don’t like that one of the prosecutors used to work for Kline, which could make the public doubt the independence of the investigation.

I’m really surprised that the Bush Administration hasn’t already snapped up this gem! He belongs there, no training required!

Not that they didn’t try… he was under serious consideration to be US Attorney for Kansas when Bush was first selected.

Both Kline AND Morrison need to go away.

Morrison did go away, but Kline will probably make a career out of his church lecture service.

I don’t see why the commissioners should do much in Kline’s favor right now. In his recent letter to the commissioners, Kline lies to them, saying that he has “refrained from making any public comments regarding the nature and extent of those allegations. I intend to continue that policy to preserve the right of a defendant to a fair trial if charges are ever brought.”

This is not true. Kline has publicly discussed his personal intervention in the Carter/Morrison battle. He did so at the Blogs4Life conference on January 22nd in Washington, DC — you can find video of his appearance here:

    Quoting Kline:
Then in August I was in a conference and Linda was there as well as another one of my ADAs and she came to me and she was distraught and her phone indicated that there were multiple phone calls to her from a single number. She said, “It’s him. I’m ready to tell you the full story.”

She told me the story and it involved allegations that he’d tried to interfere in her potential testimony in a federal case.

What, Kline? Not objective? Next thing ya know, they’ll probably try to build a coal plant out west.

Timothy Kecks wife Angela was Applebees Lawyer until she was fired. Her confessed to killing Ali Kemp. She told her husband info and he told Kline when Kline was the AG of Kansas. Angela knew Morrison and Carter were an item during the Applebee case. This was well before Kelsey Smith or Edwin Hall. Angela gave Applebees info to AG Kline. Now her husband is helping prosecute Morrison. Circle Jerk or what??? Herbert West III Publisher/Journalist. west.herb@yahoo.com
