Believe Clinton or Sinbad?

sinbad.jpgAs Hillary Clinton tells it, a trip she made to Bosnia as first lady involved “landing under sniper fire” and running “with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base” — meaning it was an example of her vast foreign policy experience. Did she forget that the comedian Sinbad and singer Sheryl Crow were along? “I think the only ‘red-phone’ moment was: ‘Do we eat here or at the next place?’” Sinbad said of the trip. Clinton’s response: “He’s a comedian.”

Given Clinton’s past claims about Obama being a Muslim and calling Canada regarding NAFTA Sinbad does sound a lot more plausible.

Ya mean, a politician exaggerates? Perish the thought! A Clinton, lying?

Hmmm, who to believe: A Clinton, with a reason to exaggerate in order to win what she apparantly believes she is entitled to, or Sinbad (and Sheryl Crow) who have nothing in particular to gain? I wonder . . .

It’s always been true, and it’s the inherent weakness in Hillary’s “experience” argument: Sleeping with the president (at times, I suppose) does not translate into experience.

Of course, Obama’s no more experienced than she; in fact, less. He wasn’t even there for the vote he regularly touts as evidence of his superior judgement! Against either, in terms of gov’t service experience, McCain wins easily; it’s not even close.

Experience isn’t everything, of course, and I don’t think there is any special experience out there that particularly prepares one for being president. But if this election turns, in part, on which candidate is up to speed and most experience on ‘day one,’ to use Hillary’s favorite phrase, McCain wins that hands down.

    Isn’t this fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am SO looking forward to the Dem convention – when is the last time a convention did not nominate on the first ballot? It’s been a long time.

Oh, BTW – go Hillary! Keep working on changing those rules! All’s fair in love, war, and politics, right?

I am sure that neither of them are liars.

Hillary simply perceived a different truth of the situation than Sinbad did.

Tom unfortunately that is it in a nutshell. McCain has the edge though because he served in the military and led units of men into situations that WERE very perilous. As commander in cheif we need this experience in our next prez.

John McCain did NOT “he served in the military and led units of men into situations that WERE very perilous.” OMG, the man was a Navy pilot who spent five years in a POW camp. McCain did no leading of any units of men anywhere at anytime during his service.

    “Yes well

John McCain strikes me as a few fruit loops short of a serving.”

I’m thinking 5 years in a POW camp will do that to a person.

grammy, I’ve found if you fold one square into 1/4s and at the corner tear out a small bit, your finger fits right in the hole, and that bit you tore off cleans under your nail.

1 sheet is enough for anybody.

Seriously, do you really use more than 4? How the heck do you get that big wad up the crack to clean?

Ksagnostic – Thanks for the link to fact check. Apparently no one actually read it, or they would have seen that the war in Bosnia had been over for 3 months, and that she also had her 16 year old daughter with her, when she allegedly had to duck for cover from gun shots. Her accounting of the events were obviously exaggerated.

However, what politician has NOT exaggerated their experience. GWB is a prime example of that!

    Two simple questions:
    1. Was she wearing a red dress? And, if the answer is yes:
    2. Did she get any on her?

I think Sinbad and Hillary had something going on, and this whole thing is a blatant attempt to cover that up.

Hog Futures Hillary is calling for a prompt declaration of inevitable defeat and a swift retreat from the war on terrorism in Iraq, while gutting military funding and pouring taxpayer funding instead into socialized medicine and abortions, housing bailouts, and tuition for illegal aliens.

Socialized medicine Parkay? Like the government will be removing my tonsils? The doctors will still be doing their own practice just they won’t have to take orders from for-profit insurance agencies. I guess it doesn’t matter to you that the majority of doctors want a single payer health plan. I don’t suppose it matters that people don’t like 20% of their medical bills going to fatten the wallets of CEOs and shareholders.

Reminds me of the day went people had private insurance for the fire department. How well did that work out Parkay? Then we switched to the evil “socialized” fire department.

Funny how neo-con nuts get upset about the things they know the least about.
