Sorry to be so cynical, but a handful, like Marti Crow and Sydney Carlin and a few others are good. But the rest ARE liars cheats and theives. And slimey uneducated cheap shot artists more concerned about ideology than doing the right thing for the common good of the state and its people.

I’d gladly trade the two or three good ones to get rid of the 95%er bad apples. I think we’d have a 50-50 chance of ending up with way more good ones and way fewer bad ones. Just the law of averages.

And the lobby folks run the show now. Or maybe I should say the big money folks run the show now. Put caps on campaign spending and term limits, and see if things dont get better.

The real chore is educating the voters and getting them to see the issues facing us clearly, and not through an ideology glass darkly.

If we wanted better government, we’d get it. But we let big business and special interest groups tell us we dont want better government.

And we believe them.

Thank you for your support of our Constitution, which makes it clear that petitioning our government for a redress of grievances is a guaranteed rights.

“the left does this stuff”, “no, it’s the right does it” WHAT!?!, once someone gives you a healthy chunk of cash for a favor, you get used to it, and do it frequently, REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL PERSUASION.

The only difference between this one and that other one is HE GOT CAUGHT.

KFG has it correct. Just vote out every incumbent, each and every one of them. You’ll have the people that say, “if we do that, then we’ll have no one who knows what is going on”.

That’s exactly the point and solution.

Personally, I won’t miss the guy. His voting record is atrocious, he has a reputation as a “womanizer” and a history of sexual harassment allegations (see http://www.pitch.com/2007-03-29/news/capitol-bully/). Senate Democratic leadership hasn’t been happy with him for a long time, but since Senators only stand for reelection every four years, there’s been little they can do except remove him from any committee where he can cause trouble.

Really, though I’m not a Dem, you’ll notice Dem people take vote cheating personally. Whereas Reps are personally involved in cheating the vote. It seems most of the Dems use their brains instead of just following in lock-step.

But..since it is a Dem..I bet they will be strangely and predictably silent.
