As a Republican I will not be allowed to Caucus on Saturday. I was notified around Feb 4th/5th 2008 taht January 28th 2008 was the deadline to confirm my party affiliation as a Republican. The Chairman in Miami County messed up my affiliation statis with Kansas National Chairman Cloud. Cloud is at 1-913-261-2162. “His staff tells me the Caucus is a done deal. That Cloud who owns a bussiness is concentrating on his bussiness. It cimes first”. Korbachs staff states,”it was a postal mistake, not their problem”. I am tired of the Republican Party messing up our rights and sabatoging the Party in Kansas. I contacted Huckabee, McCain, GOP in Washington, and the DNC in Washington to address this problem. I am still upset that Gallagher has been allowed to mess up the Republican Party in Miami County. I will be confirming my statis today and unfortunately, can not Caucus do to the corruption in Topeka. I hope others dont have this problem. As a Registered Voter, I am denied a Caucus. Welcome to the Country of Kansas. See http://www.wen2k.com/tell.php?Id=1583 . It explains what happened by Gallagher and Cloud as well as Vickrey. Gallagher is Vickreys campaign manager. They utilize Personal Agenda. Go figure. Herbert West III, west.herb@yahoo.com http://www.wen2k.com
If the party doesn’t want you, the Dems. have a big tent.
Al Sadr is continuing the truce started in June, it appears the truce has been working, not the Surge has been working.
Anyone see the latest ad from sunflower about the Holcomb plants? Talk about garbage in/garbage out.
This is the kind of garbage we need to be out there as a country condemning. This is the sort of garbage that results in people flying airplanes into buildings.

Islamism (not Islam, not the middle east) is the enemy here. The position that nations should be allowed to put those who “insult Islam” or convert from Islam to death is obscene.
Our invasion of Iraq did NOTHING with regards to dealing with the real enemy above. The invasion of Afghanistan is a different story, but this Administration lost sight of the ball.
Our invasion of Iraq did NOTHING with regards to dealing with the real enemy above. The invasion of Afghanistan is a different story, but this Administration lost sight of the ball
OK I seem to be at a lost over this statement? I understand that by turning away from Afghanistan to go on a personal vendetta. Bin Laden got away and Al-Qaeda is now stronger then it was before the U.S. went after him. That I can see, but are you saying that because the focus was lost this was allowed to happen?
Whether we like it or not these countries are allowed to make their own laws as barbaric as they may seem.
WE are often seen as equally barbaric because of our allowing the death penalty here. I am not saying I agree with putting someone to death for passing out information. Or insulting God, he’s a big boy and can defend himself without my help. Are you saying this is Bush’s fault for this sentence? If that is the case and Lord know I find little to defend Bush over. But this is a part of a nation’s problem not Bush’s.
(insert whine of the day about Iraq here)
(insert whoa is me scenario here)
(insert coin into slot and dial your number)
(complain freely here – else some one will think you’re a dog in heat elsewhere)
Yesterday in a hearing over the budget Sectary Gates made a statement that I am not sure what he meant.
He was talking about how the military would be upgraded and modernized, then said “we will need this upgrading to face the Near enemy… And you all know who that is!”.
OK who is the “near enemy” he was speaking about? Why would the military need to be upgraded and modernized to face them? The only reason to upgrade the military would be if we are facing another country. Not a small group of terrorists and “near” whom Canada, Mexico? Seriously anyone have an idea whom the near enemy would be?
You Bush haters are brainwashed. The vast majority of the world believed there were WMDs. Hill and Bill said so. Saadam said so. The UN said so. With data like that and with Saadam shooting at our planes, etc. war was demanded by all.
So what does Bush do after we are hip deep in Iraq? Surrender and flee?
Anyone who says BUSH LIED is an idiot.
dog, that “near” enemy is another way of saying, “remain afraid, very afraid.” Have you been satisfied that if you remain very afraid those who should make good decision about your safety will do so?
Hey Joe, “Bush lied” and I say that proudly after having voted for the SOB twice. He and all of his people need to tried, convicted and hung for treason. And “surrender”? “Surrender” to whom? We can’t even identify this “enemy” we have. All we know is that we’re looking for “terrorists”.
Define terrorist please. Is it brown people? “Islamic Fascists”? (whatever that means). Green Peace hippies?
No, the definition is blatantly expressed in the “Bush Doctrine”, which is, if you don’t agree and go along with Bushco, you’re the terrorist.
“The vast majority of the world believed there were WMDs“.
Actually Joe they did not, or rather they did not know either. Even without being attack the United States word had clout, We were saying it and no one seem to know whether it was the case or not. So they did not counter it, after all it was the President of the United States saying it. The world much like the American people assumed that the administration must know something we did not. And who was powerful enough to stop us anyway?
“Hill and Bill said so. Saddam said so. The UN said so“.
It was known he did have them in the past, but it could not be totally confirmed he had gotten rid of them. So the assumption was he might still, certainly Saddam has some blame in it. He was scared if his people, the Iranians or Israel found out he had gotten rid of them years before. He would have been naked in the wilderness to them and he did not think the United States would invade since it is totally against everything this country stood for.
“ With data like that and with Saddam shooting at our planes, etc. war was demanded by all“. If by all you mean some then yes, not the Americans we had a real activity enemy that had show their intent and willingness to harm us. Only a fool would ignore the one whom is shooting at them to focus on someone that is not. How many of our planes were shot down? How many American lives were lost? Saddam was the least of our concerns, shoot he was the least of Israel’s concerns at the time.
“So what does Bush do after we are hip deep in Iraq? Surrender and flee?”
No but he does not drag it out for over six years either, unless the real strategy is to wait for the insurgents to die of old age. There really is no easy fix, it is just that broken.
I get tickled every time I see those terms “Surrender and flee” as if some how it was Saddam and Iraq that caused it. It implies that once you realize that you have caught the house on fire by spilling a can of gas. that the smart thing to do is keep pouring gas around the place! He should have used the model that Afghanistan was, the enemy was up rooted and they were allowed to govern themselves with some help from us. In a strange twist of fate, the country that Bush could not have care whether is worked out or not was a success. And the one he wanted to model into his own image was a disaster.
Anyone who says BUSH LIED is an idiot.
Bush did not lie! That implies he was aware of the truth, Bush & Co, had so diluted themselves that they really believed what they were saying was the truth. In a real sense than he was not lying. It was just not the truth by any reasonable standard.
I was surprised to see a Ron Paul advertisement last night.
France, Germany and Russia were too busy bribing Saddam Hussein and taking bribes themselves for use of the oil during the embargo instead of those stinking WMD’s. :D
pleffer
Still no proof af any lies. Being wrong or too liberal does not qualify.
Yeah, I don’t think Bush lied about the WMD. It’s much easier to see he’s an idiot.
LOL Linda I have yet to be afraid of the terrorists, not on 9-11 and certainly not of Bin Laden or Al-Qaeda. I knew from day one that the terrorists were nothing more then Mosquitoes. They can bite and it hurts like the devil, but they are small and not a threat to the United States. Now I have become concerned since the invasion though of a group that poses more a threat to this country then Bin Laden and a thousand planes could pose.
They have been working their way up through the Government since the last fifties and the current crop is by far the worst nightmare of this nation. Bin Laden only wants to kill us and fat chance he could! But this other group see our liberties and rights as a harmful thing that we are just not smart enough to have or so they think.
For our own good and that of America they feel that we should lose them and let them control this country. Bush and Cheney are nothing but front men or as they refer to them as Nobles. But it is not a conspiracy as that would mean it is hidden, no it is in plain sight and documented in their own words and writing. I posted a few days ago the thoughts and ideas of their mentor. But it seem it was deleted from this blog? As no doubt that may be the fate of this one too.
Yeah Dog, so what if a couple of thousand people died, we got plenty.
Right?
No that is not the point, how can they do it? How can Al-Qaeda whom has no control over this nation effect its end? Granted if they could get their hands on a nuclear or any other WMDs they could hurt us bad. But in the end they really can not stop us, they have no real friends or a country. They end up wearing out the welcome of any country they are in. The damage done by 9-11 was more our making then theirs, our reaction to it cause us to lose sight of our center for a moment that is all. The secret of success is to keep your head while others are losing theirs. Is crime in the streets real? of course but doe that make you stop living and lock yourself up! The fact is we are many and they are few, we are right and they are wrong. It only effects us if we do wrong, it only effects us if we ourselves destroy this country for them. So far we have been fighting them with sledge hammers and Mouse traps. You ever tried to hit a mosquito with a sledge hammer? Or catch one with a mouse trap? The death of nearly three thousand innocent lives hurts like hell for the rest of us. That is Bin Laden’s fault, but they did not and can not stop us or make us yield. He will lose, one day someone will have a can of bug spray and that will end the mosquito problem.
France, Germany and Russia were too busy bribing Saddam Hussein and taking bribes themselves for use of the oil during the embargo instead of those stinking WMD’s.
Does this mean you’re in favor of attacking the three countries you mentioned?
OK — I got it now — Bush Lied; Clinton Lied; Now we got the liars all pegged and pointed out; Now, let’s put the country back together!! Geez!!
I still believe that one of the best things we could do to take a big chunk out of Al Qaeda, is to fire bomb all of the poppy fields in Afghanistan… That would put a BIG HURT on their economic abilities…
Of course, it would also put a major dent in OUR economy, which is probably why we havent done it!
Chas as the way it set it would hurt the farmers of Afghanistan more, for now it is their livelihood. There is an effort to change that, though it is getting little backing at the moment. It like was pointed out during Nancy Reagan’s “just say no” campaign, “how do you convince a ghetto mother to stop her thirteen y.o. from saling drug when it is the only money coming in to feed the entire family?”.
That’s the problem with Afghanistan, little if any natural resources and a basically uneducated people. He used it to show how winning in Afghanistan was not important as winning in Iraq. But on that point Charles Krauthhammer is correct. Though it got the nickname from me for him as Capt’ Charles “arrrr” Krauthhammer, Pirate of Fox News!
“Painkillers: Poisonings now kill more Americans than guns”
http://wvgazette.com/News/Prescription+for+an+Epidemic/200711040016
“For the first time in modern American history, drug overdoses and other types of poisonings now kill more people than guns.
Such deaths more than doubled between 1994 and 2004, according to data obtained from the National Center for Health Statistics in a joint Sunday Gazette-Mail/West Virginia Public Broadcasting investigation.
The fastest-growing killers aren’t heroin and cocaine. They’re prescription painkillers. ”
We need waiting periods on drugs!
night all
Accidents happen, those drug overdoses are from MISTAKES, not by authorized, correctly prescribed use.
Alqeada is very much in control. They are using the same tactics that the Afghans used against the Russians. The truce is a farce. The truce allows for a reserve of insurgents. When the current batch fades, the reservists will enter the fray.
They will win using our dollar. Look at the mess we are in now. We are going broke. This was the plan all along. Bin Laden said the same and we failed to listen. Now we have McCain assuring us Bin Laden’s plan will succeed. McCain is saying we could be in Iraq for 100 years. How exactly are we going to pay for that?
If anyone involved in politics didn’t know they were supposed to register as a republican before Jan 28th, that’s your OWN Fault. They’ve had that information all over the newspapers, the news, the online groups. This is done that YOU cannot vote in both dem and repub. caucuses. Why were you not registered as a republican beforehand? Don’t whine if you thought you were going to go caucus for a dem, then cry about the fact that you can’t vote in your caucus. I’m afraid a lot of people are going to find out they thought they’d be sneaky and be in both.
Bye bye Romney. But it means little. And Joe, that’s the problem with our government today, it is no longer transparent and we can’t prove anything anymore.
My country tis of thee, shrouded in secrecy.
Wouldn’t sweat not being registered too much. Romney dropped out so your choices are McCain, McCain or McCain. Oh forgot, Huckster and that other guy.
Mittens is calling it quits
This one is for values boy and the pride of having so many children. I guess if you deny global warming, it’s not hard to deny overpopulation either.

Well, the Kansas economy won’t get any boost by Gov. Romney traveling here before Saturday. Dr. Paul is “coming through” and, at one point earlier, I heard that Gov. Huckabee and Sen. McCain would make a stop in Kansas, too. Wonder if that will change.
VT, if they show? It means they think this state might really go blue in November, or at least purple.
If they dont show, well, who could blame them? We are NOT a destination vacation spot. And in the end, our six electoral votes probably dont rise to the level of needing to visit Kansas in February.

This is pretty cool. Ordinary people put together a video incorporating parts of Obama’s speeches.
Heard on the radio this morning that after all the counting has settled out, Obama won more states and more delegates on Super Tuesday than Hillary.
Also, the Clintons’ took out a 5 million dollar loan to inject their own personal funds into the race because the big donors they rely on (special interest lobbyists) are maxed out.
Meanwhile, Obama’s tens of thousands of donors are just getting started.
BTW, Herbert West–
Welcome to the new RepubliCON party. If you aren’t a connected con, they don’t want you. They simply make it impossible for you to vote.
Now you know how Bush “won” Florida.

long low whistle here.
Old Crop Wheat is at $10.45 at my local co-op. Higher at Cargill.
That’s more than double what it was this summer.
Better buckle up. It’s going to be a bumpy economic ride.
I guess we’ll have to settle for cake
Not if the cake is made from wheat flour.
I know that vaughn! 8^b~~~
I was just putting on my elitist, insensitive, arrogant, aristocratic hat on.
…and might I add, ghoti, that you look quite fetching in it.
I was holding out for ten dollar wheat, but now I think I’ll hold out for eleven. Hell, at limit up four days in a row, it might be there by Friday!
Ummmmm…. flourless chocolate ganauch cake. Ummmmmm.
Ok, I’m racist…all you black and white text bloggers look alike to me.
Wrongme just dropped from the race.
Has anyone noticed how much talc looks like flour. Ya reackon it’d need extra yeast to rise right?
McCain could stop electioneering and just coast this one out.

Libertarian Party sends condolences to the Republican National Committee
With the rise of John McCain, LP offers sympathy for the death of small-government values within the GOP
Washington, D.C. – Following a solid McCain victory in the Super Tuesday primaries, the Libertarian Party has sent Republican headquarters a funeral wreath marking the death of limited-government values within the Republican Party. The wreath was hand-delivered to the D.C. offices of the Republican National Committee. “We simply felt the need to express our heartfelt sympathy for the Republican Party as they undergo this tough time within their party,” says Libertarian Party National Media Coordinator Andrew Davis, who delivered the wreath.
“Given that it has become readily apparent that Senator McCain will soon be the presidential nominee for the Republican Party,” reads a card that accompanied the wreath addressed to RNC Chairman Mike Duncan, “we, the staff of the Libertarian National Committee, send our condolences to you upon the death of small-government principles within the GOP.”
The note continues:
Libertarians encourage competition within both the free-market and politics. Unfortunately, with the rise of John McCain and the big-spending practices of the Bush administration, the two-party system has emerged as representing only one philosophy – big-government liberalism.
With your loss, the Libertarian Party will continue to move forward to represent those American patriots who still believe in smaller government, lower taxes and more individual freedom.
“McCain’s Super Tuesday win marks the death of limited government values within the Republican Party, which had struggled with its principles throughout the Bush administration,” says Shane Cory, executive director of the Libertarian Party. “It is a day of mourning for the few remaining small-government Republicans.”
For pictures of the wreath and its delivery to the RNC headquarters see below. For more information and interview requests, please call Andrew Davis at (202) 333-0008 during normal business hours, or at (202) 731-0002 during any other time.
The Libertarian Party is America’s third largest political party, founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. You can find more information on the Libertarian Party by visiting http://www.lp.org. The Libertarian Party proudly stands for smaller government, lower taxes and more freedom.

Tom, while I sympathize with the concept, I can’t help but feel uncomfortable with the execution (pun REALLY NOT intended). I’ve see too many deaths over the years. It was a good gag, but maybe another route would’ve been a better choice.
But hey, that’s just me. The rest of you necrophiles have a good time.
If anyone can fill bush’s shoes, it’s McCain!
An interesting article on the role of the presidency and science.

“CIA Director Michael Hayden cast doubt on the legality of waterboarding on Thursday, a day after the White House said the harsh interrogation tactic has saved American lives and could be used in the future.”
“It is not included in the current program, and in my own view, the view of my lawyers and the Department of Justice, it is not certain that that technique would be considered to be lawful under current statute,” Hayden said.
I now would like to hear all those supporting torture to try to defend it now, when even the director of the CIA can’t, and won’t, defend it, and has disallowed it since 2006.
If a No. 2 Pencil is the most popular in the world, why isnt it No. 1?? If Jimmy cracked corn, and nobody cares, why do they sing a song about it…

CF2K – As Ben pointed out, make Edwards AG when we win the White House, and then let him at Bushco!!
Nebraska lawmakers passed a safe haven law Thursday, which would allow legal abandonment of babies at hospitals. As amended, the bill applies to anyone abandoning a child of any age (?!).
Nebraska is the last state to pass a safe haven law. The bill now goes to Gov. Dave Heineman for approval.
There are no unwanted babies; however, I think there might be unwanted teenagers.

Abortionist quack Alberto Hodari says he will no longer lie to the fathers of babies he is mangling, dismembering, poisoning, or beheading in his abortion mill, telling them that a Michigan law prevents them from being in the same room as the killing. Hodari will still keep the men out of the filthy room, however, to spare them from emotional trauma, and to spare himself from their lawsuits when they faint onto the blood-stained floor.
And Chas, who was the first cowboy to lean against a fence post and gaze at a bull and say, “ya see that sack, I think I am going to eat them?”
And what did the bull say?
Changing the subject to something local:
Is Gander Mountain a possible takeover target?

If so – do they keep the Wichita store?
Ben, the Wichita store would be kept, in the event of a private equity firm takeover, iff it could not be sold to another buyer at a gain and could be sufficiently profitable to give the buyer a reasonable return in the short run while cleaning its financials up to get a higher price when sold. Otherwise, no.
That’s calf fries there WSClark. No one in their right mind would eat bull balls – too nasty.
Happens every Spring, calf fry roundup. Good with ketchup. :)
“That’s calf fries there WSClark.”
Who gives a damn what you think, Charmin?
My my, so bitter WSClark. Go grab another greaseburger, you’ll feel better.
“OK I seem to be at a lost over this statement? I understand that by turning away from Afghanistan to go on a personal vendetta. Bin Laden got away and Al-Qaeda is now stronger then it was before the U.S. went after him. That I can see, but are you saying that because the focus was lost this was allowed to happen?’
It’s a bit more complicated than that. Yes, we lost focus on Afghanistan. However, when we invaded Iraq, we lost the moral high ground capital we had after the 9/11 attacks. And the Adminstration did not really address the sorts of issues that motivated the Al Queda attacks in the first place (it’s not just Israel or US presence in Saudi Arabia).
“Whether we like it or not these countries are allowed to make their own laws as barbaric as they may seem.”
To a point, but the US and other nations have intervened in humanitarian crises. Furthermore, foreign policy is a weapon that has and continues to be used against nations (e.g., apartheid South Africa, Burma, Cuba, and a lot of communist countries during the “cold war”). Obviously, the governments of counties have “been allowed” to “make their own laws” even when it is a tyrannical few making laws over the majority. The fact of the matter is, the Taliban caused a very notable human rights crisis in Afghanistan that was well documented and publicized, particularly as it relates to women (and note what the so-called “insult to Islam” is here, it was because some kid wrote an argument against polygamy-much of what is so-called anti-Islam really has little to do with that, it’s tribal tradition made unassailable by wrapping it up in religion).
“WE are often seen as equally barbaric because of our allowing the death penalty here. I am not saying I agree with putting someone to death for passing out information. Or insulting God, he’s a big boy and can defend himself without my help. Are you saying this is Bush’s fault for this sentence? If that is the case and Lord know I find little to defend Bush over. But this is a part of a nation’s problem not Bush’s.”
Again, agreed to a point (I happen to think the death penalty is barbaric, but that is a different issue). And no, I certainly don’t blame Bush for the death sentence. What I am angry about, however, is the neglect in Afghanistan as our country engaged in another conflict. Furthermore, I don’t think Islamism (again, not Islam) is widely understood here. This is not just a bunch of poor, uneducated fanatics. This is a philosophy that is every bit as expansionistic and aggressive as Nazi Germany or Soviet style communism. Al Queda may recruit from the disaffected masses, but it had its start in Saudi Arabia where strict Wahhibists were allowed to run much of the social infrastructure of the country as long as they did not challange the House of Saud. And the vile intolerance of anything “non-Muslim” (including non-Wahhibist style Muslims) among some of the sects infected some of the wealthy class. The Taliban is an example of the kind of government they wish to implement. And the kind of thinking that underlies Al Queda and the Taliban is all too common in Pakistan.
We are in a struggle here, and our invasion of Iraq for clearly questionable reasons has diluted our moral authority in this struggle as well as divided our attention from it (much as this country’s support of “anyone but communists” regimes damaged us in past decades-see Iran). It is clearly barbaric to sentence people to death because they insult a religion (and yes, even though I oppose the death penalty, there is a clear difference between executing a convicted murderer and executing someone for words written on paper). We should have been a lot farther along in this struggle than we are, and for that, I DO blame the Bush Administration.
And by the way, for those who are inclined to bring up Al Queda in Iraq, guess who brought them here. It sure as heck wasn’t Saddam Hussein.
“My my, so bitter WSClark”
Again, who cares what you think, Charmin?
If Kansas was a large, white behind, you would the pimple on the collective butt.
An infected, oozing pimple on the Butt of Kansas.
Back to ignore, Charmin.
By the way, do you still accuse anyone that is in favor of gay rights of being homosexual?
Any thoughts on Jews and Jewish heritage?
Pork you, McCharmin and the horse you “persuaded” to allow you to ride in on.
Do you eat with that mouth Clarkie? :D
JimmieMac . . . proof that if one can’t be liked, he can sure as hell make himself detested.

Good post, CF. This is shocking but at the same time strangely unsurprising.
It’s more of the Bush line that “legal is whatever we say is legal.”
Kinda like Italy in 1937 . . .
And of course, Michael Mukasey is a shill for the Executive Branch and a sell-out pithing on the US Constitution. He’s a Bush pick.
Oops.
I meant plick.
“Kinda like Italy in 1937…”
Yep CapN… Those Facist leanings are starting to show themselves in plain sight in good Ol’ DC now!!
Reg….seems like you touched a nerve? Wonder when/if WS will ever make good on his promise to leave the blog forever?? I keep hoping…
Questions the candidates vying to be the next U.S. president should be asked:
http://www.niemanwatchdog.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=ask_this.view&askthisid=00321
In the link I post above, Steven Aftergood has given up on the idea that the Bush administration will bring itself under control. But, he urges us to ask the next president what his/her plans are on uncovering the widely suspected illegal activities of the Bush administration.
Now we have to get a Democrat in there, because we know McCain will never investigate.
“Excessive administration secrecy… feeds conspiracy theories and reduces the public’s confidence in government,” Sen. John McCain has said. [from the above link]
We need to get McCain on record now for the actions he’s willing to take to reverse the trend of secrecy and or investigate Bush, Cheney, Addington, et al.
We should not grant immunity to phone companies aiding Bush in domestic spying until we (at least congress) know what they are being given immunity for – only seems reasonable, doesn’t it?
I agree, Steven Davis, the phone companies should not be provided blanket immunity in this area. There may come a time when limited immunity becomes needed to get to the facts, but not today, and in any event, not total.
I’m sure Ms. Saunders did not intend for this to be a humor piece, but I had a few laughs while reading it. “The Kiddie Wing of the GOP” is the title, accurately so, IMHO.

You mean the most I get by saying we should fire bomb the poppy fields in Afghanistan, is that we shouldnt do it, because it might hurt the local income of the farmers??
Good grief!! And I suppose we should tell our USA investigators they shouldnt be burning up Marijuana fields, because it will hurt some local person’s income??
Yea, right!!
A few of you have asked why Ron Paul isn’t doing better. I point to the rampant voter fraud STILL under way in New Hampshire – that no one seems to care about, and now this story from New York…
When Gabe Razzano went to the polling place on Tuesday evening where his mother tried to vote for Ron Paul he was told the same thing, “Ron Paul has dropped out of the race” He was actually shown the display card which by law must hang on the wall and where they had crossed out Ron Paul’s name along with Rudy Giuliani’s. Gabe did the only thing he could do, he called the police. The Freeport Police arrived and asked what the problem was. Gabe proceeded to tell them that his mother tried to vote for Ron Paul but was told she could not because he had dropped out of the race when in fact he had not. The police officer, Sargent Essex, went out to his car, spoke to his superior and came back in to tell Gabe that there was apparently no problem as “Ron Paul had dropped out of the Race”. *Note, when Gabe went to pick up the police report yesterday, the police officer left off the fact that he said that Ron Paul had dropped out of the race. Gabe has 3 witnesses that the police officer said this.

Ron Paul wont get the nomination, because he is too scary, to too many voters, and incumbent House and Senate members… Even with his years in the House, he is a relative light-weight…. He has one foot in the Circle called Constitution, and the other foot in the looney bin…
I think the people of our country have had it up to their eyebrows with nut cases running for high office… on BOTH sides of the Aisle
I wonder if marijuana would be a good bio-fuel. It could be legalized, power our vehicles and pot heads could get a discount on company products. :D
Hemp is an EXCELLENT source for a bio fuel… Lots of energy per acre… High harvest numbers… less space to grow even more product, MUCH less damaging than Corn… And just for KFG, it takes a WHOLE LOT less water to grow it!!
However, we should not only work to legalize the growing and harvesting of Hemp, but also should look to fire bombing the poppy fields of Afghanistan, to curb the financial capabilities of A Q
Anybody see any kind of link between Mitten man, money bags Romney dropping out of the Race, at just about the same time as a new President of the Mormon Church is Ordained?? Could b a connection!!
i mean, just a few days ago, he was firing up the gravy train for the White House!! And after he WON in Utah and Mass…
Chas, AQ HELL, it’s the freakin’ CIA that needs the money.
Contras anyone?
Oh Chas, you just as well hang it up on the Hemp industry, nobody is as smart as you are about it.
Hemp used to be a major crop until plastic became the vogue, then Dow, 3M and the likes set up the marijuana campaign against it to increase their product demands.
Looks like I’m not the only one alarmed about the wheat market and food supplies. WTF? Wheat closed limit up. Again. Fourth day in a row, with a one day break last week.
“US wheat futures continue to top records on very tight supplies and strong global demand.
US spring wheat March futures hit nearly US$15 on Wednesday, while winter wheat varieties were also up their limits to as high as US$10.80 a bushel.
Steve Mercer from US Wheat Associates says the world wheat market is really in ‘uncharted’ territory right now.
“We’ve entered the 2008 year with global stocks at their lowest level in 30 years, US stocks at a 60-year low”, he says.
http://www.abc.net.au/rural/news/content/2007/s2156722….
I KNOW that KFG… I said that earlier… only rsponse I got was that it would hurt local farmers,…. LOL of couse its the CIA…
Wise&*%^ you trying to argue the Hemp issue on bio fuels??
Are you serious about it?
I would be in full support of it if people would stop and think about it, learn something about it.
The little people know better but the big corps and government are only interested in it as last resort, Hemp is a big secret of theirs.
Yea, Im absolutely serious about it… It is a whole lot better source for bio fuel than corn… it doesnt threaten food supplies/prices; doesnt need nearly s much water; doesnt need the kind of heavy equipment for cultivation; etc., etc.
The Legislators really need to get on the Hemp bandwagon… Besides, Hemp can be used for a LOT of other products, and produced a lot cheaper!!
Hemp has the potentials to destroy other industries, not small industries but the big giants, industries that are now well rooted in our society that employ millions of workers.
It would be hard to do the conversion but with education and real commitment, it can become the perfect solution.
Hope for the party yet?
by Mark Silva
After the smoke cleared at the Conservative Political Action Conference – the public withdrawal of Mitt Romney from the Republican presidential race, and the attempt of John McCain to make friends with the party’s staunchest conservatives – a conservative crowd-pleaser stepped forward .
Ron Paul, the Republican representative from Tejas.
Paul was playing on the frustrations in this hall, with many voicing worries about McCain, the all-but annointed nominee.
Now the party has an apparent candidate who is a friend of Sen. Russ Feingold – on campaign finance reform – Paul said. And now the party has an apparent candidate who is a friend of Ted Kennedy – on immigration – Paul said.
He raised cheers in the hall – perhaps the first genuine cheers of the day.
“If you think we can lead this country back to conservative principles… you have another thing coming, because it’s not going to happen,’’ Paul said.
“The answer is found in fiscal conservatism – live within our means,’’ he said to cheers in the hall.
“As long as a government can stir up fear, sometimes real and sometimes not real, the people are expected to do one thing, sacrifice their liberty,’’ he said to cheers.
Now here is the best part. Mind you this is CPAC. I added the emphasis.
And then there is the war in Iraq, with Paul the only one of several Republican candidates for president this year who took a stance against the war.
.
“McCain says we should stay there for 100 years if necessary – I say there is no need,’’ Paul said to more cheers in the hall.
“We campaigned in 2000 for a humble foreign policy, no policing of the world – and now we are doing the very same thing,’’ Paul said.
CPAC cheering Ron Paul? CPAC cheering ending the war? There may be hope for the party yet. All it took was a liberal on the GOP ticket.

Then again, maybe not!! You never can tell anymore!!
I still dont think Ron Paul has a chance, Sol… He is just toooo radical…

I was told by some local Paul supporters that Romney’s staff turned their table in the exhibit hall over for Ron Paul’s use. According to one of of these supporters (his name tag read Kevin O), the guys at the Romney booth, who only had ten minutes advance notice that Mitt Romney was going to drop, are now planning to vote for Ron Paul.
The GOP is desperate to get rid of McCain. If y’all drop the media hyped – kook – label and actually look at the man’s record, you might realize he is the most conservative candidate. Are you conservatives first or republicans first?

And for KFG — Who was the first person to look at a Cow, and say, Hmmmm… I think I will squeeze one of those dangly things, and drink whatever comes out
I have wonder just how drunk the first person was that stood behind a Bull and said “Huh, them look tasty!”.
And Chas I guess I have to spell it out, OUR country’s economy does not depend heavily on Hemp!
Our Farmers do not have to depend on the growing of hemp for their income, they have many other crops that can turn a profit. The only ones in our economy that depend financially on the growing on hemp is the drug dealers. Whether Poppies it is the number one cash crop in Afghanistan it is about the only crop they know how to grow. So see it is not just Al-Qaeda whom destroying the Poppy fields would hurt, it would cripple the entire economy of that nation and fuel the very growth of Al-Qaeda and the Taliban would be the end result. The most effective way of fighting the terrorists in a poor nation is to give the citizens an alterative. The Saudi Religious schools in some countries is the only school system available to the poor parents. Given a choice these parents would not be sending their children to them and thus a new crop of Religious fanatics would not be made.

OMG, I just got a push poll call and after hearing it I am not voting for Mitt Romney over Mike Huckabee!
Heee Yeah I know! And just so everyone knows, neither am I voting for Pat Pelson over Mike Huckabee or Richard Nixon over Mike Huckabee nor Donald Duck over Mike Huckabee ( but if he was running!).
Hemp used to be a major crop until plastic became the vogue, then Dow, 3M and the likes set up the marijuana campaign against it to increase their product demands.
Add one more corp to your list: DuPont
writerdog, ummm, hemp and marijuana are not the same. They are related, but not the same plant. It’s one of those illusions. There’s so little THC in hemp that you’d barely get a buzz out of it after smoking a whole rope. :)
The following from http://www.houseparent.biz/information/Hemp.htm
How are hemp and marijuana different?
Smoking marijuana will make the user high, and smoking hemp will not. Hemp contains less than 1 percent of the active ingredient THC, the substance that gives pot smokers a high. Marijuana plants, on the other hand, contain 10 to 20 percent THC.
Marijuana plants and hemp plants have different appearances and are harvested differently. Marijuana plants tend to be short and bushy, while hemp plants can have stalks that are 25 feet high!
Unlike marijuana, hemp has many uses. Over 25,000 products can be manufactured from hemp, including hair conditioner, diapers, insulation, carpets, paper, and perfume.”
Or just google ‘hemp + marijuana’
yes RD, the part of Okla I was a cop in was a big grower of hemp in the forties, The stuff grows all over the place even today. LOL one day an all call went out for every Law Enforcement officer in the county to respond. There was a report of a large group in the biggest patch in the county were harvesting. But once the first batch of officers arrived guns drawn. LOL It was discovered that it was a State Rep showing around some foreign dignitaries around and they had never seen a marijuana plant so the precession of SUV and state troopers had stopped!
Smoking marijuana will make the user high, and smoking hemp will not. Hemp contains less than 1 percent of the active ingredient THC, the substance that gives pot smokers a high. Marijuana plants, on the other hand, contain 10 to 20 percent THC.
And here I was thinking I had just gotten some “bunk” weed!
Thanks RD… I appreciate the assistance…
WriterDog… What is it that you arent getting about what I am trying to say?? How do you figure that cutting off their #1 crop, Poppys, that it helps A Q and the Taliban??
And I also said earlier, it probably helps our own CIA too!! Can you say Iran/Contra???
Not to mention, drug trafficking in THIS country would take a MAJOR hit if we destroyed the Poppy fields in Afghanistan!!
Of course, that could make a dent in part of the USA “street” economy…
But, I cannot believe that destroying the Poppy Fields will help A Q OR the Taliban!!
It COULD be that the poor folks of Afghanistan are more or less enslaved to grow the Poppys!! Ever consider that???
Destroying the Poppy Fields MIGHT just free up those poor peasants!! MIGHT give them something to fight for!!
By the way, WriterDog, I didnt ever SAY that Hemp is an important crop here… at least not YET… BUT… it COULD be, if the stupid government controls against it could once be terminated….
As RD points out, Hemp aint worth smokin!!
BUT, it can make terrific bio-fuel…. and a whole long list of other products!!
BTW, I read recently that if farmers would plant just the corners of their center pivots with HEMP, they could make more ethanol or bio fuels from just the corners than they could make with the entirety of the rest of the circle… usually corn… and use minimal amounts of water…. since hemp grows fairly well in dry land areas…
I have also heard some farmers say they are in fact going to grow it, because Hemp is not chemically the same as canabis, and they dont think they could be found guilty in court of growing marijuana…
I say More power to them!!
WriterDog writes:
“The only ones in our economy that depend financially on the growing on hemp is the drug dealers.”
NO WriterDog… Drug dealers do NOT depend financially on growing hemp… not in our country, not in any country!! HEMP is not used for smoking dope!! Not unless you want to smoke about 20 pounds of it to get high!!
Wal-Mart is opening medical clinics. I guess if they were to import Chinese doctors, Mao’s “barefoot doctors” and nurses, they could guarantee “Always Lowest Prices” and solve America’s healthcare-funding crisis.
Now Sol — I have calmed down enough to address your outrageous post of vitriolic BS…
FIRST — I am not talking at all about Obama, but yet, you manage to get him in your post…
SECOND — YES I support some form of what you maliciously term Hillary Care… Its not Hillary Care, man, it is SMART, AMERICAN, CARING, and COMPASSIONATE Care…. Why you all cant see that, is beyond my scope of reason… HELPING PEOPLE IN NEED is one of the great foundations of this nation…. It is a part of who we ARE as Americans…. And by God, if we can reach out with care to the WORLD, then we should be able to do that for our own citizens!!
I dont know WHY you Right Wingers cant see that… And also, that it takes ALL of us to make that happen!!
Your so-called Hillary Care is not FREE health care… but Affordable Health Care…
Can you get that through your head, for a change??
THIRD… In all of your ranting and raving, you didnt even address ANY of the issues I raised…. I never said WHY I believe Ron Paul is too radical… yet, you went off into an almost automoton reaction into ‘hillary care’ and Obama bashing!!
FOURTH — NOW I will tell you why Ron Paul is too radical!! Please follow close….
First — Paul claims to be for the rights of the individual, without government intervention… a typical, and not all bad, libertarian perspective…. HOWEVER…. IF THAT WAS RON PAUL’S POSITION, IT WOULD BE GOOD… BUT, LO, IT ISNT!!
He is NOT for same gender marriage… which is certain an invidual right… He is NOT for abortion… which is fundamental to the reproductive rights of females…. and he is an OBGYN… he should be sensitive to the reproductive rights of females…. not insensitive….
SO, Paul CLAIMS to be for the rights of the individual… but in reality is NOT….
NEXT…. He wants the FAIR TAX…. NOT a flat tax… Flat tax is a different concept from the FAIR TAX…
IMHO in order to implement Ron Paul’s FAIR TAX, we would have to turn the entire economic balance of this country upside down…. I do not believe that the FAIR TAX, even though it SOUNDS GOOD as a populist type movement… I do not believe it has a snow ball’s chance in hell of working!!
NOW, Mr. Sol…. I am not calling you names… I am not using any profanity…. And I am addressing your issues…. Do you think you could possibly try to do the same, and not wander off into tangents???
Please Notice… I have not said ONE WORD ABOUT SUPPORTING ANY CANDIDATE!!! PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THAT BEFORE YOU STRIKE BACK WITH SOMETHING YOU WONT BE ABLE TO MAKE STAND UP LATER ON!!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
The inside of the dome in the Kansas State Building is lined with hemp leaves. What once was our major cash-crop should be again.
Ron Paul doesn’t want a “fair tax” he wants no income tax. He wants no Fed as well. Just because he doesn’t “like” the way someone might live their life, he isn’t about to legislate, federally, against anything. Please do some research and maybe come out to the Best Western Airport at 6pm to hear, quite possibly, the man speak. There is a party going on there and you’re invited.
So, Pleefer, you are saying that Ron Paul would NOT be in favor of the so-called Marriage Amendment??
And I am sorry, I have heard the man SPEAK about the Fair Tax… not NO Tax….
If I was in Wichita, I would very likely try to hear the man speak… Alas, I am working away from the city at this point…
Pleefer, Paul reminds me a little too much of the Anti-Tax, Anti-government militia style movements from back in the late 80’s and early to mid 90’s… Very Dangerous folks!!
Remember, McVeigh and Reynolds were also ANTI Tax, and ANTI Fed people… I had to live REAL close to some of those radicals back then, and I still get very goosey when I hear that rhetoric… even if it has been ’sugar coated” a bit….
But, then, David Duke ALSO sugar coated his message in his political endeavors!!
BTW Sol?? I was for national health care before Hillary was ever First Lady!! Thats why it is bogus to call it Hillary Care!! YOU do some research, too, ok??
As an evil republican conservative, I should be against this idea. Please no one have a heart attack, but some of us evil tree cutting conservatives to believe in protecting our environment when it is proven we can do so. In many states – the below has proven to be a very successful program. And yes, it will involve some cost for our small businesses.
News from our statehouse:
DEPOSIT ON BOTTLES?
A bill to offer a deposit on cans and bottles proposes that Kansans recycle up to 60% of the two billion beverage containers sold each year in our state. The bill, heard in the Senate Natural Resources Committee, would allow for a 5¢ deposit on each bottle or can and could result in 600 million containers being recycled each year, according to Bill Bider, the director of waste management with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. But some retailers said the measure would make it difficult to store all the containers brought in, and other opponents questioned the environmental impact of the bill.
Eleven states currently have drink container deposit laws. Distributors would charge the retailers 5¢ per container, which the retailer would then add to the cost of each beverage. Customers could then bring the can or bottle back in for to receive back the deposit. The bill includes cans and glass and plastic bottles containing alcohol and soda, but it does not include water bottles.
Bider said if enacted, the law would cost $300,000 to implement and an additional $600,000 annually to run the program. Supporters said the bill would conserve valuable landfill space. The proposal would keep containers from “littering our country roadsides and urban landscapes,” said Ron Klataske, executive director of the Audubon of Kansas. But retailers said the space issues with storing redeemed containers could be overwhelming. They argues that stores simply don’t have the room to be the collector of cans and bottles being returned by consumers, according to Bob Alderson, spokesman for Casey’s General Stores.
Do believe vice “to believe”…..
More news from from our statehouse. I personally do not believe it is correct to take advantage of those people who smoke, to look upon them as a source of revenue. Further, past history has proven that most states have not used tobacco settlements, nor they smokers tax – to actually fund healthcare.
We need a long term solution which involves ALL Kansans.
More news from our statehouse:
TESTIMONY STARTS ON CIGARETTE TAX
Marcia Nielsen, executive director of the Kansas Health Policy Authority, kicked off testimony in the House Taxation Committee on a proposal to raise the tax on cigarettes by 50¢ per pack and to increase the state’s cut on sales of other tobacco products by 47%. She said the higher taxes — endorsed by Gov. Sebelius — would raise $61.5 million annually which could be used to improve the state’s citizens’ health insurance coverage. Revenue would be funneled into programs to provide regular health coverage to uninsured Kansans and advance state initiatives designed to improve quality of life in the state. Nielsen said another anticipated result of raising the state’s cigarette tax from 79¢ a pack to $1.29 cents per pack on July 1 would be that fewer people might smoke, especially young people. The cigarette tax would then climb by 4¢ annually until 2013. “Smoking is the No. 1 preventable cause of death,” Nielsen said.
Support in the Republican-dominated House and Senate for any kind of tax increase during the 2008 election year remains weak. The lobbying force lined up against the measure is deep. Opponents to the tax ranged from Patty Solomon, manager of Smoke-EEZ Cigarette Outlet in Kansas City, Kan., to Bill Phelps, spokesman for tobacco giant Phillip Morris, of Richmond, Va. Solomon said she was worried her customers would drive to Missouri to buy tobacco products. “On one single carton of cigarettes,” she said, “Missouri’s smoke shops will have a price that is $11.20 cheapter than their competitors” in Kansas. Phelps, of Phillip Morris, said linking new health care programs to taxes on products which have experienced declining sales would be bad public policy. He said cigarette sales in Kansas have dropped about 5% annually for the past decade. He also said stiffer tobacco taxes would provide people greater incentive to smuggle cigarettes into Kansas. “We think a tax like this can result in numerous unintended consequences,” Phelps said.
Ron Paul very incorrectly believes that volcanoes are causing global warming.
Anyone who is that confused about basic climate science should not even run for mayor of a small town.
Final thoughts from this weeks actions in our capitol. It is easy for those insanely concerned about GW to cry for carbon taxes. Our state should be cautious, but not blindly support imposing taxes which in more than one industry – could push industry to develop elsewhere. Realize that any additional costs on energy producers – will ultimately be paid for by the consumers. Like the smokers tax, legislatures like the idea of findng another source of revenue – which will be come a hidden tax on our citizens. So be careful what you ask for:
HEARINGS BEING HELD THIS WEEK ON ENERGY BILLS
The House Utilities committee has been holding hearings on the energy bill since last Friday and plans to debate the bill tomorrow. The legislation would permit two coal-fired power plants in southwest Kansas. But it also would impose the state’s first rules on carbon dioxide emissions, which many scientists have linked to global warming. Environmentalists don’t want the coal plants and think the new CO2 rules are far too weak. Some conservative legislators and anti-tax groups don’t like part of the bill that imposes a carbon tax on utilities that can’t meet the CO2 standards. Speaker Melvin Neufeld, R-Ingalls, who supports the bill and the coal fired plants proposal, said he expects the bill to be changed prior to being reported out of committee because opposition from both the left and the right will make it hard to pass. The bill is likely to be worked on the floor of the House next week.

Sol, I advise you NOT to try and refute my statement that the Constitution is radical…
It would not look good for you!! LOL
Lets talk Dillions. The Dilliuons in Olathe Kansas has doubled their prices and lowered their stock. They are getting tax breaks that the Olathe Residents pay for. These tax breaks are for relocating to another neighborhood. They then get padded tax breaks for tieing up zone. Balls foods is getting the tax breaks. The are the Hunt family. Lamar Hunts brother, Caharles Ball owns these. His wife, Peggy Ball, runs the Unitedway and is Lamar Hunts sister. Lamar Hunt died but owned, Worlds of Fun. And they owned the “Wild West Theme Park”. They also own the new park in Wyandotte County. They are allowed to sabatoge the taxe base and the zones to launder money. Claire McCaskill is doing this thru Denise Tomasic and D.A. Gorman in Wyandotte County. They are all manipulating the resources we all need, “FOOD”, Agriculture!!!! Ag endorses 3600 Million for fans in feilds. 10,000 acers for a power plant not for crops? They need to be filed on as well as the state, county Governments for manipulatiing the tax base. Remove the House, SEnate and etc:.. SECURE YOUR TAX BASE!!!!!!!!!!! Herbert West III, west.herb@yahoo.com http://www.wen2k.com
Herb, buddy, use your spell checker… And get your facts straight…
Lamar hunt owned the Kansas City Chiefs. He did great things for the Kansas City area. Worlds of Fun has been in the same spot for YEARS!! At LEAST the last 27 years that I know of for sure!!
Dillons?? Thats now owned by Kroger, and used to be owned by a Family in Hutchinson…
You really need to do some fact checking, before you run off at your keyboard!!
What is your basic gripe?? Is it that other people are getting rich, and you arent??
Maybe you need some new meds??
Ohhh boyyyy Huckabee gets the endorsement of James Dobson… What a terrible thing for Huckabee!! Dobson is almost as wacko as Pat Robertson!!
Why is T E X A S a blocked word?? Roy Kroger owns Butler TRANSPORT and Krogers. They are selling to the Ball family. Sunfresh is a IGA franchise thru the Balls. Brent is Roys son. I have known him for 23 years. Butler transport did the trucking for the Balls. The Balls bought Fairyland and moved it to T X. The then opened Worlds of Fun. Again, why is T E X A S a blocked illegal word? Herb West III, censored again. west.herb@yahoo.com
HERB, listen, Krogers is a Nationwide Corporation… Owned out of Cincinnatti Ohio… been there for YEARS!! It isnt owned by anybody in Kansas City!! Krogers isnt renaming anything… Read the front page in Kansas.com… Krogers has never been Kansas owned… Dillons used to be a Family owned operation headquartered out of Hutchinson…
Got it?? I think you are all upset over I am not sure what!!
And, why are you worried about T EXAS???
Herb, Worlds of Fun has been in Kansas City, right where it is now, since at least 1981…
Oceans of Fun is right there along with it!!
The first time I went there was in 1982!!

ONE WORD ABOUT SUPPORTING ANY CANDIDATE!!!
You dolt, you only have two candidates to choose from. One- Hillary. You have not clue one how Hillary Care! Will work, as you stated in your post. But you support it. That is plain ignorance chas. The other is Obama. If pointing out that he has not publicly stood on nor backed up a single issue is bashing him, then please chas, stay at home and don’t vote. You clearly have no understanding of whom nor why you are voting.
And I am sorry, I have heard the man SPEAK about the Fair Tax
Now you are just lying chas.
Thats why it is bogus to call it Hillary Care!! YOU do some research, too, ok
It is hillary’s plan. It is Hillary Care! If she is elected, it will be Hillary Care!. You don’t get that????

And what are you going to do about the volcanoes? They are all contributing factors to global warming.“
Ok so from your post cosmos, volcanoes and China do not contribute to global warming?
And do you further support an invasion of China to ensure compliance?

http://environment.newscientist.com/channel/earth/climate-change/dn11638
“Measurements of CO2 levels over the past 50 years do not show any significant rises after eruptions. Total emissions from volcanoes on land are estimated to average just 0.3 Gt of CO2 each year – about a hundredth of human emissions (pdf document).“
So you agree with Dr. Paul. Volcanoes emit CO2. I bet you agree with Dr. Paul that China emits CO2 as well, no?
SolDevVB,
You seem to be very ignorant about the natural carbon cycle, and climate science.
There are natural “sources” of CO2, including volcanic activity. There are natural “sinks” of CO2. Those were in relative balance, until humans upset the equilibrium by burning huge amounts of fossil fuels.
CO2 from volcanoes is insignificant, compared to what humans have released, and are releasing.
Try to find the impact of the 1991 Mt Pinatubo eruption on these CO2 graphs,
http://cdiac.ornl.gov/trends/co2/contents.htm
Note the temperature drop in 1991.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Pinatubo#Global_environmental_effects
“This very large stratospheric injection resulted in a reduction in the normal amount of sunlight reaching the earth’s surface by up to 5% (see figure). This led to a decrease in northern hemisphere average temperatures of 0.5–0.6 °C (0.9–1.1 °F), and a global fall of about 0.4 °C (0.7 °F).”
There are natural “sources” of CO2, including volcanic activity
We’ve already seen that you agree with Dr. Paul on volcanoes.
What about China?
China would be the human impact correct? So you agree with Dr. Paul on that too.
Was it you that called Dr. Paul ignorant on the environment? If so, and you agree with the statments he made, what does that make you cosmos?

“We’ve already seen that you agree with Dr. Paul on volcanoes.”
SolDevVB… your irrational posts, and your ignorance about the natural carbon cycle and climate science, do not help Ron Paul.
cosmos has stated that the climate cannot be predicted nor are the climate models accurate because the climate is too complex.
Perhaps cosmos is too ignorant on the considerations of major oscillations left out of predicting climate change or willfully ignores the fact that scientists know little about them.
Perhaps some of that wind being blow about is coming from GW alarmists who know little of the origin of the winds, what they do and how they interact with climate and water vapor.
cosmos is not a scientist.
You posted that volcanoes produce co2 Just like Dr. Paul said. How is that irrational?
What is irrational is saying Dr. Paul is ignorant for calling volcanoes co2 producers, then you provide a link saying the same thing. Does that make you ignorant too?
I think you may be confused.

“You posted that volcanoes produce co2 Just like Dr. Paul said. How is that irrational?”
No… Ron Paul said that we “have to deal with the volcanoes”.
http://politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/issues/index.html#/context=detail/issue=climate/candidateA=paul/candidateB=allRep
“[If the government were to play a role] then you have to deal with the volcanoes… ”
We do not have to deal with the volcanoes.
Their CO2 emissions are insignificant compared to human’s.
Volcanoes are part of the natural carbon cycle.
We cannot “deal with the volcanoes”, except to possibly capture a small amount of CO2 from non-erupting ones.
What about China cosmos?
What about the United States?
