Gentle people,
I would like to propose a solution for all of the ugliness on the BLOG.
I know a lot of the people here personally and I’ve really had no animus toward anyone until yesterday.
If you would like to have a decent place for BLOGing and if you would like to find a solution (I have one to propose) please contact me by email.
Everyone that contacts me by tonight(Sunday) evening I will respond with my proposal.
hank@pixius.net
Just for a little update, I have had 10 positive responses to my request as of this morning at this time.
Most from people I know from meet ups or other friends. So far it is a pretty good representation of the BLOGers here.
I’ll email you all my plan and proposal and request input this evening. I’ll be busy to day until this evening.
Thanks for your continued support!
Hank
hank@pixius.net
I’d venture to guess that those “10″ you claim responded to your “plan” are your reichwing cronies.
This battle will NEVER end Price. We (the moderates of the world) will continue to engage you and your allies until YOU stop viewing the world through your warped, religion tainted, hate-filled glasses.
We all know THAT isn’t going to happen………..let the hostilities resume!
Y’know, Hank, that’s a great proposal, as it’s you and your ilk that are the main cause of all the hate and discontent. Have you and your li’l boy had your daily denigration of JR yet today? Or are ya still champin’ at the bit?
Heh heh
THAT’LL be a lively and interesting bunch over at “Hank’s hangout” huh ghotiphaze?
Let me guess…Hank, Nathan, ksgrm and seven “JM” nics.
Good riddance.
Hank, why the privacy? You may not intend your proposal to, but it nevertheless kinda reeks of exclusivity….and the smell is pretty much redolent of the let’s-all-of-us-go-to-posting-nirvana jailbreak of a while back. The unsuccessful one.
With good reason and for completely non-partisan reasons, I hesitate to give out my email address to anybody on this blog (a, if I send it it’s out of my control, and b we have at least 2 posters here who’ve openly used email addresses to out others: open communication’s a real bad idea around here if you value your privacy). And I’m way too lazy to search out and register a dummy email address just to read your proposal.
I believe the lesson hereabouts is that there are no sacred cows at WEblog. Why not post your proposal here?
I wrote Hank and asked to hear what he was proposing. Have to admit, things couldn’t get worse. I am for anything constructive.
Hank has had my email address in the past and never abused that trust. For what it is worth. If it would be at all useful, I would support the proposal being posted here, too.
Ok, Steven, but I gotta point out the obvious here: you’ve got the courage to post under your real name. While I’m nobody, I am also a more cowardly nobody than you.
Not accusing Hank of a thing here, just saying that some of us use a Name for reasons not the least important of which is that it gives me comfort to know that I control my own data.
Reminds me a bit of the sensibility, such as it is, in this quote. Less the tongue in cheek, though.
“There is no human problem which could not be solved if people would simply do as I advise.”
-Gore Vidal
Still, I’ll try to keep an open mind.
It would be nice if every discussion wouldn’t desolve into an insult bash….I guess this is the reason why mankind is always at war…it’s more important to be right than to consider another’s point of view. To bad many can’t evolve beyond their own egos and discuss issues rationally.
Why not post your plan here —-
Out of respect to those here who have the courage to use their real names (and you know who you are), I’ll sure play along.
Hank, email on its way.
Incoming! :D

Eureka soldier killed in Iraq
Army Staff Sgt. Bryant W. Mackey, 30, of Eureka was killed Wednesday in Mosul, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his vehicle, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Mackey was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment based at Fort Hood, Texas
Well, well, well — Nader announces his bid for President (AGAIN) on Meet the Press today… Can anybody say, “Oooops”?? LOL
Nader will only be able to get on the ballot in a few states. Also – pretty much nobody will vote for him. There are millions of us who will never forgive him for his support of Bush.
Absolutely Ben… I agree…
Gosh, maybe Hank doesnt want the stalkers and the ridicule that folks got when they went to Wichita Voice and Tracy’s blog?
I wonder if we should stalk them the way they did us?
Nawwwwww. Good luck Hank. Just take regular/jm/republikhan and fleetwood with you.
PLEASE dont leave them behind here.
If Obama is the nominee for the Dems., I will vote for Nader.
Nader didn’t take Florida from Al Gore. Florida was stolen from Al Gore by the bush family and that witch Katherine Harris.
Before I form an opinion on that rediculous sh.it from yesterday that I just read, I need to ask a few things from the Marine that was part of the “discussion”.
Why are Marines training and conducting urban warfare exercises on the streets of America? And do you know what Rex 84 is?
Are you prepared to shoot fellow Americans who refuse to give up their arms? And would you be ready to shoot your own friends and family to comply with an order?
After I get the answers from a Marine I’ll have a better idea to which “side” of the line that’s been drawn. If I get no “reasonable” answer from him or them, I’ll draw my own conclusions.
Hmmm must be worshipping The Torture Christ?
pleef, he’s lurking the minimum wage thread
I missed that part of the free-for-all you’re refering to. But I have to read a day late for most of these threads.
I voted for Nader once and won’t waste my vote again. It’s hard enough to get my vote to count in Kansas without me adding to the problem.
Close to home
Superdelegates vote goes against the peoples:
Congressman Emanuel Cleaver representing the 5th District in Missouri (Kansas City area) has publicly endorsed Hillary Clinton for president
However, Barack Obama carried the 5th District
on Super Tuesday. He is now getting inundated with telephone calls, which he will ignore, from angry voters. KCSTAR.com
And in Nevada, where Hillary already has complained about the polls closing before all citizens had a chance to vote (Las Vegas most noteworthy), the Clinton campaign is preparing to go to court. She will when one way or the other.
Still think an election can’t be stolen by democrats?
Since Hank added his post at Tracy’s blog I responded there. I’ll copy and paste my response here.
————————–
Good luck, Hank.
I won’t be emailing.
It’s really none of my business what someone else posts. I’ll let what another person has to say stand on its own merits or lack thereof.
There are hurtful things being posted by many “over there.”
I’ve been hurt. I’m working on my own solution which works for me when I’m wise enough to use it. More often than I want to admit I type out my hurt and angry words of rebuttal and then sometimes I hit delete instead of post. Hooray for me! I stop whatever is negative right there. If I control my need to respond, the flames don’t get fanned. I’ll work on getting better at not reacting. I don’t want to be as human as I am. While trying to improve me I will accept responsibility for what I post. I hope that someone other than me doesn’t post under my “nic.” Here, where we sign in, I get to be me and I add and subtract from the whole of me with no help.
And here when we disagree we do it without belittling, without names; we have no need for someone to be wrong. We actually can have different opinions and still be fine people.
Long post, but a good read. I got it via email so I didn’t have a link:
A Powerful Piece
This is one of the most profound articles that I have ever read about this Presidency, this era, and this so-called war. No matter your politics, you owe it to yourself to read this.
Quin
An assessment of where the US stands in relation to the Middle East problems, this one is from the guy who had his finger on the nuclear trigger for three years as head of our defense and response complex buried under Cheyenne Mountain at Colorado Springs.
He was the only person who could initiate a nuclear attack after advising the sitting president of a missile launch by our enemies and our need to respond.
No political or civilian type in the US had more knowledge about day to day military actions around the world.
Everyone should find quiet time to read this. As far as I am concerned, it is exactly the direction we should go and the consequences of not doing so are well thought out.
John R. ( Jack ) Farrington, Major General, USAF (Retired)
Middle East Imperative BY: JIM CASH, Brig. Gen., USAF, Ret.
I wrote recently about the war in Iraq and the larger war against radical Islam, eliciting a number of responses. Let me try and put this conflict in proper perspective.
Understand; the current battle we are engaged in is much bigger than just Iraq. What happens in the next year will affect this country and how our kids and grand kids live throughout their lifetime, and beyond. Radical Islam has been attacking the West since the seventh century. They have been defeated in the past and decimated to the point of taking hundreds of years to recover. But they can never be totally defeated. Their birth rates are so far beyond civilized world rates, that in time they recover and attempt to dominate again.
There are eight terror-sponsoring countries that make up the grand threat to the West. Two, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan just need firm pressure from the West to make major reforms. They need to decide who they are really going to support and commit to that support.
That answer is simple. They both will support who they think will hang in there until the end, and win.
We are not sending very good signals in that direction right now, thanks to the Democrats.
The other six, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, North Korea and Libya will require regime change or a major policy shift. Now, let’s look more closely.
Afghanistan and Iraq have both had regime changes, but are being fueled by outsiders from Syria and Iran . We have scared Gaddafi’s pants off, and he has given up his quest for nuclear weapons, so I don’t think Libya is now a threat.
North Korea (the non-Islamic threat) can be handled diplomatically by buying them off. They are starving. That leaves Syria and Iran. Syria is like a frightened puppy. Without the support of Iran they will join the stronger side. So where does that leave us? Sooner, or later, we are going to be forced to confront Iran, and it better be before they gain nuclear capability.
In 1989 I served as a Command Director inside the Cheyenne Mountain complex located in Colorado Springs, Colorado for almost three years. My job there was to observe (through classified means) every missile shot anywhere in the world and assess if it was a threat to the US or Canada. If any shot was threatening to either nation I had only minutes to advise the President, as he had only minutes to respond.
I watched Iran and Iraq shoot missiles at each other every day, and all day long, for months. They killed hundreds of thousands of their people. Know why? They were fighting for control of the Middle East and that enormous oil supply.
At that time, they were preoccupied with their internal problems and could care less about toppling the west. Oil prices were fairly stable and we could not see an immediate threat.
Well, the worst part of what we have done as a nation in Iraq is to do away with the military capability of one of those nations. Now, Iran has a clear field to dominate the Middle East, since Iraq is no longer a threat to them.
They have turned their attention to the only other threat to their dominance, they are convinced they will win, because the US is so divided, and the Democrats (who now control Congress and may control the Presidency in 2008) have openly said we are pulling out.
Do you have any idea what will happen if the entire Middle East turns their support to Iran, which they will obviously do if we pull out? It is not the price of oil we will have to worry about. Oil WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE to this country at any price. I personally would vote for any presidential candidate who did what JFK did with the space program—declare a goal to bring this country to total energy independence in a decade.
Yes, it is about oil. The economy in this country will totally die if that Middle East supply is cut off right now. It will not be a recession. It will be a depression that will make 1929 look like the “good-old-days”. The bottom line here is simple. If Iran is forced to fall in line, the fighting in Iraq will end over night, and the nightmare will be over.
One way or another, Iran must be forced to join modern times and the global community. It may mean a real war—if so, now is the time, before we face a nuclear Iran with the capacity to destroy Israel and begin a new ice age.
I urge you to read the book “END GAME” by two of our best Middle East experts, true American patriots and retired military generals, Paul Vallely and Tom McInerney . They are our finest, and totally honest in their assessment of why victory in the Middle East is so important, and how it can be won. Proceeds for the book go directly to memorial fund for our fallen soldiers who served the country during the war on terror. You can find that book by going to the Internet through Stand-up America at http://www.ospreyradio.us, http://www.ospreyradio.us/ or http://www.rightalk.com, http://www.rightalk.com/.
On the other hand, we have several very angry retired generals today, who evidently have not achieved their lofty goals, and insist on ranting and raving about the war. They are wrong, and doing the country great harm by giving a certain political party reason to use them as experts to back their anti-war claims.
You may be one of those who believe nothing could ever be terrible enough to support our going to war. I f that is the case I should stop here, as that level of thinking approaches mental disability in this day and age. It is right up there with alien abductions and high altitude seeding through government aircraft contrails. I helped produced those contrails for almost 30 years, and I can assure you we were not seeding the atmosphere. The human race is a war-like population, and if a country is not willing to protect itself, it deserves the consequences.
‘Enough – said!’
Now, my last comments will get to the nerve. They will be on politics.
I am not a Republican. And, George Bush has made enough mistakes as President to insure my feelings about that for the rest of my life. However, the Democratic Party has moved so far left, they have made me support those farther to the right.
I am a conservative who totally supports the Constitution of this country. The only difference between the United States and the South American, third world, dictator infested and ever-changing South American governments, is our US Constitution.
This Republic (note I did not say Democracy) is the longest standing the world has ever known, but it is vulnerable. It would take so little to change it through economic upheaval. There was a time when politicians could disagree, but still work together. We are past that time, and that is the initial step toward the downfall of our form of government.
I think that many view Bush-hating as payback time. The Republicans hated the Clinton’s and now the Democrats hate Bush.
So, both parties are putting their hate toward willingness to do anything for political dominance to include lying and always taking the opposite stand just for the sake of being opposed. JUST HOW GOOD IS THAT FOR OUR COUNTRY?
In my lifetime, after serving in uniform for President’s Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan , and Bush I have a pretty good feel for which party supported our military, and what military life was like under each of their terms. And, let me assure you that times were best under the Republicans.
Service under Jimmy Carter was devastating for all branches of the military. And, Ronald Regan was truly a salvation.
You can choose to listen to enriched newscasters, and foolish people like John Murtha (he is no war hero), Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Michael Moore, Jane Fonda, Harry Reid, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and on-and-on to include the true fools in Hollywood if you like. If you do, your conclusions will be totally wrong.
The reason that I write, appear on radio talk shows, and do everything I can to denounce those people is simple. THEY ARE PUTTING THEIR THIRST FOR POLITICAL POWER AND QUEST FOR VICTORY IN 2008 ABOVE WHAT IS BEST FOR THIS COUNTRY. I cannot abide that.
Pelosi clearly defied the Logan Act by going to Syria , which should have lead to imprisonment of three years and a heavy fine.
Jane Fonda did more to prolong the Vietnam War longer than any other human being (as acknowledged by Ho Chi Minh in his writing before he died). She truly should have been indicted for treason, along with her radical husband, Tom Hayden, and forced to pay the consequences.
This country has started to soften by not enforcing its laws, which is another indication of a Republic about to fall.
All Democrats, along with the Hollywood elite, are sending us headlong into a total defeat in the Middle East, which will finally give Iran total dominance in the region. A lack of oil in the near future will be the final straw that dooms this Republic.
However, if we refuse to let this happen and really get serious about an energy self-sufficiency program, this can be avoided. I am afraid, however, that we are going in the opposite direction.
If we elect Hillary Clinton and a Democrat controlled congress, and they carry through with allowing Iran to take control of the Middle East, continue to refuse development of nuclear energy, refuse to allow drilling for new oil, and continue to do nothing but oppose everything Bush, it will be over in terms of what we view as the good life in the USA.
Now, do I think that all who do not support the war are un-American— of course not. They just do not understand the importance of total victory in that region.
Another failure of George Bush is his inability to explain to the American people why we are there, and why we MUST win.
By the way, it is not a war. The war was won four years ago. It is martial law that is under attack by Iranian and Syrian outside influences, and there is a difference.
So, what do I believe? What is the bottom line? I will simply say that the Democratic Party has fielded the foulest, power hungry, anti-country, self absorbed group of individuals that I have observed in my lifetime. Our educational system is partially to blame for allowing the mass of America to be taken in by this group. George Bush has done the best he can with the disabilities that he possesses.
A President must communicate with the people. And, I would tell you that Desert Storm spoiled the people. Bush Senior’s 100-hour war convinced the people that technology has progressed to the point that wars could be fought with no casualties and won in very short periods of time.
I remember feeling at the time, that this was a tragedy for the US military. To win wars, you must put boots on the ground. When you put boots on the ground, soldiers are going to die. A President must make the war decision wisely, and insure that the cause is right before using his last political option.
HOWEVER, CONTROLLING IRAN AND DEMOCRATIZING THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE ONLY CHOICE IF WE ARE HELL-BENT ON DEPENDING ON THEM FOR OUR FUTURE ENERGY NEEDS.

“I’ll tell you what war is all about; you’ve got to kill people, and when you’ve killed enough they stop fighting.”
Gen. Curtis LeMay
Yeah ghoti,
It’s on the Clinton campaign one…sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit. Sometimes I feel like some of the posts on this blog are like watching my 7 and 8 year old arguing. But me, being one of the “tin foil hatters” that said Marine (I dunno if he’s even active duty) rails against. I have to know what he would do as a Marine if the orders were given. When I know that, I’ll know what I need to know.
I have a different take on ol’ Iran. I’m sure the illustrious writer, Jimmy L. Cash, Brig. Gen., USAF, Ret. remembers Operation Ajax (I would cite the Wiki version, but nah. Just Google it). We are the masters of The Hegelian Dialectic, y’know? thesis, antithesis, synthesis (or problem-reaction-solution). We created Iran (at least what it is today) Do you remember the The October Surprise? Nevermind, that is just another “conspiracy theory” so it is to be ignored. Anyhoo, we deposed Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, the DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED, president of Iran because he got tired of BP getting 93% profit off of Iran’s oil and Nationalized the oilfields. Before we effed them over they were “Westernized” big-time. But who cares about that ancient history, right? Regardless, whatever you people may believe, we’ve a bunch of technocrats that have circumvented our right and just politics and military to suit their own needs. And as Machiavelli thought, the ends do in fact justify the means.
So what — just because he was one in a chain of people needed to launch a nuke he is an expert — jimmy you continue to nore us with ur bigoted stupidity
Just because you wear or have worn a uniform doesn’t mean I’m going to respect you. That is earned.
Ira Hayes, Harlon Block and Audi Murphy = Heroes.
Oliver North, John McCain = Pieces of sh.it.
A new poll has appointed President’s George Bush’s approval ratings at 19%. That’s the lowest for a President throughout all of American history. So Bush finally has that legacy he’s been trying for. Republicans do have something to be proud about though, they managed to get appointed the first retard to the White House.
Oh and your guy up there, Brig Gen. Whatshisname he’s a pos as well.
Yeah, bleep you general. Just what the world needs, another bomb ‘em back to the stone age LeMay.
Where do they dig these dinosaurs up?
I am having trouble posting comments in this and other areas. I normally talk about Foulston officials and Pilshaw. The Eagle always wants to protect questionable officials and appears to actively censure comments.
Artist hanged herself after aborting her twins
Last Updated: 12:23pm GMT 24/02/2008
An artist killed herself after aborting her twins when she was eight weeks pregnant, leaving a note saying: “I should never have had an abortion. I see now I would have been a good mum.”
Where was Choices when this happened? The boyfriend was there to give his opinion but no one to support her if she decided not to abort.
By the way I am a woman who believes that a woman should have choices. They just shouldn’t all be abortion.

“Nader didn’t take Florida from Al Gore. Florida was stolen from Al Gore by the bush family and that witch Katherine Harris.”
A dysfunctional media, and gullible voters took the U.S. from Al Gore.
Media spread the false attacks on Gore, like ‘Love Story’, “invented”(sic) the Internet, etc. They focused on stupid trivia, like wardrode choices, instead of important issues.
Media mostly ignored Bush’s problems in TX, like environmental, etc.
And gullible voters based their vote on what the dysfunctional media told, and didn’t tell them.
Al Gore lost his home state, which, in the final outcome, caused him to lose the election.
And dems da facts.
Hahahaha, good one!
“Al Gore lost his home state, which, in the final outcome, caused him to lose the election.
And dems da facts.”
Katherine Harris was paid handsomely with a House seat for “hiring” ChoicePoint (a private data mining gestapo for our loving guvment) to swindle lots of those “icky” black people out of their votes. Coming from a rich and well connected Florida banking family doesn’t hurt her insider status with the Bush clan.
And again, I voted every time for a damned Bush, so I can take my medicine after some thoughtful, open minded and boring research. I thought the “libs” were a bunch of “whining babies” right after MY man won too.
And dems, sir, are the facts.

Can anyone anwser?
Wiseman,
Last night on the thread about the Clinton campaign being incompetent there was a post that caused Hank to state, “I’ve really had no animus toward anyone until tonight.” And he states he has a solution “for all of the ugliness on the BLOG.” He wants people who would like to hear his solution to send him an email.
Here’s his solution.
Nevermind.
“Al Gore lost his home state, which, in the final outcome, caused him to lose the election.”
He lost his home state, and other states, because the media spread lies about him, and mostly ignored Bush’s problems.
The u.S. corporate and conglomerate owned media is dysfunctional — and that is an easily verifiable fact.

Or, the people in his Home State knew what Al Gore actually was – a self made Jerk.
such hypocrisy. Adophis claims to be “moderate” and attacks people who supposedly view the world thru “…warped, religion tainted, hate-filled glasses”
Who is spreading hate here, Adophis? Your first line uses your oh so clever “reichwing” lable. Isn’t that just a little bit of hate from you? Comparing people on this blog to Hitler is just a bit extreme, at least it seems to be.
Does using that label of hatred make you feel clever or superior?
Are you for REAL????, Pleefer.
All this over a video of soldiers killing an Iranian like it was a video game?
I guess that I would have to read up that tread to get a better prospective of the story behind this.
And that thread is now some 303 comments long.
Wiseman, which part are you referring to?
That video link?
What thread would that be, Wiseman??
I didn’t think anyone would check it out, there’s more where that came from. The US military I always have loved and admired just isn’t that way. I’ve never been a serviceman, although I should have. A lot of my friends have been or are currently in and that kind of shit annoys the hell out of them.
Pleefer, your link above didnt work…
Yeah, I guess I’m lost as to what thread…
Here’s another link to the video and a thread about it by other servicemen.
I would assume that when the right wingers leave the blog, they won’t be coming back, since they criticized those of us on the Left for coming back after our boycott………………
They wouldn’t be hypocritical now, would they?
They criticize those on the Left for using nics and not real names – even though they use their own nics and not real names.
They criticize those on the Left for using profanities and coarse language – even though they use their own profanities and coarse language.
They criticize those on the Left for trolling, nic switching and nic stealing – even though they are guilty of trolling, nic switching and nic stealing.
Funny group, these right wingers are.
And by the way, can we SUGGEST folks that should leave and join the new Nathan and Hank Price Liberal Free Blog?
Not suggesting anything in particular, just trying to be helpful.
The thread about the Clinton campaign being incompetent and I meant to say Iraqi not “Iranian”.
I now have 18 responses to my request. A little too cumbersome now to respond individually but I’ll try later tonight. I’ve been in class all day and I have a few chores before dark!
First of all, my plan isn’t much. I plan to go to the editors and insist they take a little responsibility for their BLOG. Maybe some of you have noticed lately that we are missing a few of the posters that used to be around on a regular basis in the past.
Many of the are just sick of the crap, me too. Can I give it out? Well, I should hope so, but I don’t start every post by addressing the ‘opposition’ with a slur of some kind. Many on the left and many on the right have the ability to some how present an argument sans insult.
The 18 people that have responded are pretty much divided in ideology and political bent. I think I have a pretty good list to go to the editors with. Within the next two days I’ll have something a little more concrete and I’ll post it on the BLOG.
I’ not going to issue any ultimatums. I’m not making any threats. I just intend to make some positive proposals for improvement and see what happens. We can debate the issues without being hurtful. The editors can fix the BLOG so there is accountability.
That’s all I’m trying to do. Positive suggestions? Want to be a part? I’ll respect your privacy.
Hank hank@pixius.net
There is this perception that when attacked, Democrats will lie down and take it like a bunch of wimps. The right wingers get all SHOCKED and OUTRAGED when we don’t.
Well the days of wimpy Democrats went out with the pink tutu Democrats.
Today’s Democrat isn’t going to take the bullshit from the Rush O’Hannity Right and they may as well get used to it.
If the Right attacks the Left, they should expect the same in return – no more Mr. Nice Guy.
If the right wingers don’t want to get their fingers burned, then they should keep them away from the fire.
And if they do get their little pinkies burned, they shouldn’t look to us for sympathy.
Are you are part of the problem or part of the solution, WS? It’s attitudes like your’s that keep our country so divided. Why can’t you and those like you have a civil discussion and refrain from the personal insults? If you want people to consider your opinion, then be respectful…otherwise no one listens to what you say…only to how you’re saying it.
Good luck, Hank.
Well I think the pot boiled over with those Nathan and Hank folks. There’s just no reasoning with the rest of us (heh). I think the arguments for torture the other day got to them. It hurts your pride to be proven wrong. I think the name calling and child-like word usage of those guys is part and parcel to having watched too much Fox News. I was one of them just after the 2004 elections, I still had many questions left unanswered, but still was one of them. My major paradigm shift happened right after Bushco’s second term. I’m probably looked at with the hard lefties with distaste as well because I KNOW there is zero difference between the two parties at the top. I strongly and adamantly attack “both sides” and in doing so, don’t make many pals. When I woke up and dove into the history of America over the last 100 years, I was scared to death. But now I’m bold and brazen about getting the message out about what I’ve learned. There is a stigma placed on history and “conspiracy theories” that keeps people laughing and uninformed about current events. The whole idea is to keep us fighting between each other about crap that really doesn’t matter while and to keep Britney Spears and Anna Nicole as “front page” news while our country gets destroyed. Damn, I’ve so much to say, but that was waaay too long. Sorry.
I’m so sick of all the partisan politics, I could throw up. We need to come together if we’re going to solve the mountain of problems created in this country. As long as all we do is blame and finger point, nothing productive happens…just a lot of wasted energy spent whining and blaming the “oppostion”.
It all started with assholes like Rush Limbaugh…and it needs to end now.
I want to know why Kansas NOW KAKE channel 22 is actually putting that hate monger Terry Fox again on their station.
BOYCOTT KAKE.
“Why can’t you and those like you have a civil discussion and refrain from the personal insults?”
With all due respect, go back and read through the posts, Ms. Caruso, I only fire when fired upon, I just happen to fire with equal or greater ferocity.
I do not like the lack of civility anymore than anyone else, but I am not just going to lie down and take it. I am just not made that way.
The right wing perfected the art of attack and then feign outrage when they receive return fire.
Now they are having to live with the attacks coming back to haunt them.
As I said, I do not fire until fired upon, but I can dish it out with the absolute best of them.
And I will continue to do so until THEY stop.
If they want peace, then they need to start the peace process, after all, they started the war.
I didn’t mean just “those guys”, it’s a lot of people on here. I can rest well knowing that I’ve always taken the high road. Always. With my idealogy I kinda have to be able to take it, I’m a “tin-foiler”. There are times when I think that the 60’s folks had a “revolution” that was tainted by drugs and sex and lost focus. My generation (their kids) won’t be as nice about our revolution. We want it to be “nice”, but JFK said it best, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable”.
Scares the hell outta me.
And WS, you support the guy who WANTS TO WORK NICE WITH THEM.
I’m sorry Mary, I’m sick of the partisan politics, but I’m also tired of my niceness being used against me. I despise that the Republicans have created this environment, but until they quit, I won’t. I will NOT allow them to walk all over me.
Pleefer…
A good example of what you said happened just the other day. On the same day Pakistan’s leader was defeated in their elections….which I thought was pretty important news…the LEAD story on the local news stations was about the guy who was caught raping the dog.
What the hell has happened to us that we fall for this faux news?
And who the hell really cares about Britney and all the other tabloid news?
I’m sick of the media and the crap they tell us is important.
We tried that Hank, it didnt’ work, remember.
Matter of fact, it was all the republicans who laughed at us who tried.
You guys sound like the Israelis and the Palestinians….”as long as they attack us, we’ll attack them”..and so on and so on and so on.
GIVE PEACE A CHANCE….:)
Sometimes to effect positive change, you have to step out of the dance…don’t react like your antagonist expects you to. When you quit taking the bait..they’ll get tired and go home.
Of course, I know I will get a violent reaction from some, but here it is anyway. :D
If you want a properly ran blog, that is monitored and willing to listen to its users, try this one. :)

(puts on steel helmet and armor)
I agree with where WS is going with this. You can’t claim to be morally righteous and Godly like most Neo-Cons say they are today and spout off vitriolic and extremely opposite Godlike views. I guess if you are going by The Old Testament the Neo-Cons are right on the money. But as far as being “Christian” these people are far from it. Just because you tithe every Sunday doesn’t make you Christ-like. The GOP has been killed by the “Christian Right”.
And they can feel them now,
the pangs of change.
Bill Clinton won his elections by NOT standing by and letting them get away with their attacks. He swiftly fought back.
And they didn’t like that much that he didn’t wimp down and take it, so they really tore him up.
Mary you are so right. We are all part of the problem if we automaticly say ‘no way’ to Hank’s proposal. If the blog can be cleaned up where everyone posts everytime under the same nic it will help alot.
One thing I disagree with you on is that I don’t think the ugliness started with Rush Limbaugh. In our part of the country we get mostly conservative talk radio. On the west coast especially you get more liberal coverage and air time. A radio personality is an entertainer – nothing more. Some are influenced by these personalities but not as many as you would think. I do listen to Rush on occassion when I am in my car. I don’t remember a time when he influenced me to hate someone or thing.
Many on here, me included have strong feelings and we voice them. As adults we should be able to do this without personal attacks. Last nights classless attack was way over the top. I think most on both sides thought so.
Here’s to Hank’s plan and it’s success.
Of course, we can all trust WS..the person who swore he was leaving this blog and NEVER coming back. Yep…great credibility there.
And, I suppose reminding WS of his own words is somehow a personal attack, right? Typical extremist thinking.
Pleefer you haven’t got a good grasp about what happened last night. While WS has made a few good points he missed the real problem.
You need to read the blog last evening and you will see what Hank is referring to.
Then…we can all remember the famous quote of JR, saying he actually HATES people who have a different political view than he does.
Again, I suppose that is an ‘attack’ to bring up his own words?
Oh yes, I can password protect my entire blog and there is an invitation only policy. :)
You know, Brownlee had/has this same capability, but didn’t do it.
Ever wonder why?
I know why. :)
Pleefer I only suggested that so you would see the problem Hank is referring to. In no way do I want to see it brought up again.
Mary made a very good point. We have to all be big enough to swallow our pride and go forward with more respect for others whether we agree with them or not. And if we post something and it was to harsh or wrong be big enough to say ’sorry’ or I needed to research that more.
I for one sign on.
“When you quit taking the bait..they’ll get tired and go home.”
No they won’t – they will kick you while you are down and then feign OUTRAGE when you try to fight back.
They do it everyday.
That is why we have to fight back and fight back hard.
As for Obama, he spent a lot of time in the trenches in Chicago – I am sure that he knows how to tell someone to screw themselves and make them feel like they’re going to have a hot date.
He might be a young man, he might have been born at night, but it wasn’t LAST night.
Rush started the “us” and “them” type of thinking that polarized this country starting back in the 80s. He was the beginning of the split that devided us in so many ways.
The first time I heard him name calling strong and independant women by referring to them as “femi-nazis”, I knew he intent on spreading intolerance and division, and he suceeded.
I bet Obama would be a hell of a poster on a blog. :D
“Of course, we can all trust WS..the person who swore he was leaving this blog and NEVER coming back. Yep…great credibility there.”
You might have a point to make, Tap, er Taz, if you were to criticize McCreepy for the same thing – since he stated that he was leaving Dec. 31, 2007 and NEVER coming back.
But YOU attack the Left while giving a pass to the Right.
That makes you a hypocrite.
“That is why we have to fight back and fight back hard”
So how’s that working out, WS?
It doesn’t seem to me it’s made the blog condusive to rational discussions.
Exactly Mary!
There hasn’t really been a discussion on this so-called “Kosovo Independence” and there is good reason. Because that is Earth shattering, scary and needs-to-be-understood NEWS. This is where WW1 started and it is further proof that Brzezinski’s agenda to create chaos in Eurasia is being implemented all over the place there. From Iraq to Afghanistan to Iran and Kosovo. Wherever they need to screw up the place in order to keep our hegemony and power they will do it. Regardless of how many folks we have to go to war with. Russia already has said they are willing to “use brute force” in order to be respected that they don’t loke this at all.
Folks, that is big news. These unfortunately ignorant followers of Bushco policy better understand the implications of said policies. It will come back to haunt them. There is more to life than war making. But if you are trying to fulfill Biblical Prophesy no one can talk you out of anything that has been willed to you by “GOD”.
Note to others: I doubt anyone will partake in my blog, but just showing you what can be done.
Brownlee just won’t do it.
But if you are interested, you can contact Hank as I gave him my name, address, phone number and email to prove that I’m the real deal. I was a moderator many years ago on Compuserve, so know how to do it.
Central Kansas Blog
http://republikan.typepad.com/republikansan/
It’s there if you need it. :)
Thanks for proving my point, WS. I remind you of your OWN WORDS and you interpret it as an “attack”. figures.
Before I go read it fully instead of skim over it…does it revolve around the Tiahrt and son discussion?
Mary – so true about Rush. Strong women = feminazis; scientists = environmental wackos; drug abusers = dregs of humanity (which therefore means Rush = dreg of humanity); and on and on.
Sadly, we have seen reflections of that here – on both sides.
Pleefer – I think so. And there was an ugly comment from ‘my side’ of the spectrum that I took exception to.
“It doesn’t seem to me it’s made the blog condusive to rational discussions.”
So, Ms. Caruso, when Nathan calls me stupid and ignorant, and when Hank calls me a coward and unpatriotic and McCreepy calls me a Heebie and a homosexual, what direction do you think I should take?
Should I fight back or should I just lay down and take it?
P.A.V. :)
“I remind you of your OWN WORDS and you interpret it as an “attack”. figures.”
I came back to this blog for two reasons, Taz – a number of the Right Wing idiots chose to constantly attack us personally while we were gone – and some of the Right Wing hypocrites chose to invaded the blog we were on and to continue their attack points.
‘Nuff said.
So what haven’t you attacked McCreepy for saying he was leaving forever and then just coming back under another nic?
Eh?
I’m gonna comment on certain pieces of that discussion to this one as I read it.
First my candidate (who hasn’t a prayer) still has more cash on hand today than any other Rep and has ZERO debt in contrast to all the other ones.
reading on…
WS I’m not Mary but many months ago you and I went after each other every day. I realized we were both losing and changed the way I posted. We all make mistakes and sometimes we get a chance to correct them – sometimes not. That was one I was able to change.
If we all did that it would be so much better for us all. I pledge today to not let Chas get under my skin. He is my biggest stumbling block and I think I am probably one of his.
Lets have a better blog.
I never listen to Limbaugh, Boortz or Hannity. Out of the three, I like Boortz the best if I had to listen.
I’ve stop watching Fox News for quite some time now and only occasionally visit their Website to see if anything interesting pops up.
I’m a classical radio kind of guy – love the classical music, like Garrison Keiller and the nature stuff on PBS.
If they still had the old radio shows on like they did on the late 40s or early 50s, I’d listen to them (the old Serials (Gunsmoke, Detective, etc.)
Econ 101 said, “Would it REALLY be fair for Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich to have the “same” amount of money as other candidates?”
“No, of course not”.
Quelling free speech? Neo-Cons scare me.
Regardless, RP gets his own money from us dumb ol’ average Americans.
I watch very little TV but am adicted to country music. With our DirectTV we get a Sirrus station that plays break free music. If I get tired of country or stressed they have a classical station I switch to. If in my car I listen to 1330 because I like their news and traffic coverage. Helps me avoid traffic tieups. That is the talk station so I hear whoever is on. Some of it is quiet funny. When up late there is a talk show on with Jerry Doyle, an out of work actor from Star Trek, Star Wars or one of those space shows, he is hilarious. If I have to be up late he is a good companion.
Me either, Reg. Then again, I don’t listen to any talk radio…find it either boring or offensive. Much easier to listen to “Bob”…especially at work.
There are already “King Maker’s” and they meet once a year and are called “Bilderbergers”. Our beautiful and talented (uhh yeah) Governess Sebelius attended one (in violation of The Logan Act) and wallah! is now being eyed for VP in Obama’s camp???
WS…what you are not getting is that I was not “attacking” you…you are interpreting it as such. You seem awfully defensive…not everyone that disagrees with you is making some kind of “attack”.
OMG turn on 60 minutes, you have to watch just how nasty the republicans are.
JimmyMac posted
“Or, the people in his Home State knew what Al Gore actually was – a self made Jerk.
Tennessee thought he was such a “Jerk”, they elected him to the U.S. House in 1976, and 1978, and 1980, and 1982.
Then they elected him to the U.S. Senate in 1984, and 1990.
And Tennessee gave him a ‘Super Tuesday’ victory in 1988.
There is just no accounting for taste in personal choices cosmos. :)
Good ol Nathan never did answer the question, “Do I teach my son that your voice is more important than his because you have money”? heh.
Pmom as bad as this is and it is bad the dems have done this and worse. Look in what Texas dems did to Kay Bailey Hutchinson. Look at the charges leveled against Tom Delay. Even the judge there said that the law the grand jury indicted him on wasn’t even a law when the ‘crime’ was supposed to have happened.
Corruption isn’t party blind.
Pleefer are you trying to start this all over? Was that what the fishing was for? You sound like you knew where the posts in question were all along.
“So, Ms. Caruso, when Nathan calls me stupid and ignorant, and when Hank calls me a coward and unpatriotic and McCreepy calls me a Heebie and a homosexual, what direction do you think I should take?
Should I fight back or should I just lay down and take it?”
No one is suggesting you “lay down and take it”, but reacting the same way as the person who is insulting you doesn’t do anything either. Why not take the high ground and just respond with a respectful and thoughtful reply? You can make a point without getting down on the same level as the person who is attacking you.
Try being more mature than them.
Just got to the first blood.
Monkey Hawk, uncool.
But Nathan is THE biggest instigator and is always right and is generally “the tough guy” here. So all the way through it, the guy was pushing buttons. As usual.
Shoot, I still have yet to hear an answer to my military questions from up above. The silence is quite telling.
I make no apologies for any post I have ever made here.
I’ve been dealt more than I’ve dealt out. Also I don’t lie.
And you cons need to address the fact that you have a poster who is constantly wearing multiple nics. He is wearing 2 just since 5 o’clock.
hey political mom I missed it. What was up on 60 minutes?
The post that so started Hank and the rights outrage WAS a bit extreme. But as I said at the time, the same people who objected are guilty of the same and worse, much worse.
Now some people here have the anonymity of a common name or they live in a gated community. Me I can’t have someone posting whatever they like and sticking my name on it. Also I don’t need the blogs resident nic switching lunatic to try and make good on his threat to shoot me.
I didn’t go with the earlier boycott and I won’t with this one either.
Gotta go with JR on the nic thing. I don’t trust anyone enough to put my own name out there (can’t quite grasp the whole multiple personality thing though). I fear no man, but when it leaves the blogospehere and becomes “on the outside”, the way some talk on here, somebody’ll go to jail.
I believe ugly is about to happen anyway, in spite of all of us.
I thought Monkey’s post was very appropriate. You know, if Todd really wanted to make a change, he’d do something about this problem before other families lose their sons to the same problem. Why do people ALLOW this to continue to happen? I’d expect most people to come out as advocates. No, money and power is more important? Instead, he keeps bowing down to the same powers that shamed his son.
Why is it wrong to point it out?
I still think Tom Delay was shady as all get out. He had powerful people to protect him. Don’t you think if Rove would do this to one his own, that he’d work his hardest to get Delay off?
Come On.
Looks like it is time for rational people to sign off.
Well there is one thing Monkeyhawks post was not.
It was not dishonest. It was a fair speculation into the private life of a public official.
Was it kind?
Was voting against SCHIPS kind?
Anybody remember another public official whose private life became the focus for an entire political party?
The difference PMom is not pointing it out, but to constantly rub someone’s face in it that their son’s death is directly attributed to their father’s job.
MonkeyHawk was doing an “in your face post.” He had no point other than to cause misery ahd MonkeyHawk knew this.
Anyone with a sense of decency knows not to rub someone’s face in an issue that is as heart wrenching as that.
Yeppers ksgrm…it’s that time…
poofity poofity…
I believe the point MH was making was very appropriate, but the details were a little unbecoming of a working mind like he has. Regardless of party affiliation you don’t get into those seats of power unless you have something they can hang on you. Tiahrt is no better and someday, when he doesn’t fall in line and votes the wrong way, he’ll be outed like most of the secret man-boy lovin Republicans of today. Regarding his boy and that boy’s sad choice, I grieve with his family on that. But no one knows the story. No one knows if Tiahrt chose politics over his son and if…IF that was the case, then Tiahrt is a rodent. But I know nothing of the man, so I refrain from saying anything about him.
“There is just no accounting for taste in personal choices cosmos”
But there was a very predictable effect from the media falsely attacking Gore re ‘Love Story’, Love Canal, Internet, farm chores, fancy hotel, etc.
Followed by the RNC loading all the info about Gore, his speeches, etc they could find into a computer database, and searching it to nitpick Gore’s debates — and feeding the results to media, causing even more attacks.
Pleefer, Have you ever discussed this whole one world order / neocon take over with writerdog? He has done lots of studying about it too and gave me some scary, informative links recently. I didn’t bookmark them but should have. Dog, if you’re reading, could you email thjose to me, please? Anyway, it just might be too late to turn around! They’ve had their way under the guise of democracy and Christianity for so long. Did you read recently that Wolfiwitz is back — recently appointed to a high-level government position? I need to learn more. Sounds like you have been studying awhile just like dog. Do you think there is time to turn it around?

So, we discuss all of these things, and Hank finds THIS offensive enough to leave the group about.
I find it offensive that he’s one of those who supports that thinking that led to the death of Tiahrt’s boy.
Thanks, Chas. I’ll read them and try to find more too. I’ve only scratched the surface and it’s scary enough to keep me from sleeping easily.
Can you tell I’m on this little laptop? I don’t do well on this tiny keyboard! Orry about all the typos.
Ms. Caruso, the Democrats lost the election of 2000 (however tainted) and the election of 2004 BECAUSE they laid down and let the Republicans run over them.
They allowed George to paint himself as being honest and a man of integrity in 2000, despite his refusal to answer questions about his drug usage.
They allowed George to paint himself as a war hero despite the fact that the most he ever did was protect the skies over Texas from those nasty Vietnamese.
The Democrats laid down and played dead. They let the Republicans win because they had no spine.
This time is going to be different. Barack talks about working with Republicans, but he means working with Republicans on HIS terms.
We have learned our lessons.
Republicans TALK about fairness and dignity, while stabbing you in the back.
We have learned our lessons.
Obviously, none of you know the circumstances of Tihart’s son’s death..it had absolutly nothing to do with his sexuality or his relationship with his dad. And it’s unfair and mean to speculate when you don’t know what really happened.
Whatever WS…keep fighting the windmills.
Nothing you say on this blog is going to change the world.
“Nothing you say on this blog is going to change the world.”
Nope, but my voice is just one of millions upon millions that are damned sick of the Right Wing attack machine and we are just NOT going to take it anymore.
Ms. Linda,
You are, thankfully, part of the remnant.
I’ve talked a bit with him about it on here but not really in-depth. I didn’t realize, I guess that he was THAt far into it. I’ll make sure that I converse with him more. Thank you for allowing yourself to wake up!
It’s going to take focus and shaking people loose from the flicker rate of a television set. But I believe that if that people got rid of their…umm…brainwashed, lemming-like notions about the things I talk about on here. This kind of “go-get-your-tinfoil hat-and-search-for-UFO’s-and-lizard people” mentality is impressed upon folks to make light of truly serious conditions our country, indeed the world, is in. I thought the same things most folks think when I first heard this stuff. But then I watched a series of movies by Alex Jones. At first I thought he was a nut but very determined. Then I watched the movies again while sitting at my computer. I paused the movie’s and went to the news sites and government web sites as he was talking about the stuff. That was around November 2004. But prior to that, I still had questions that were not being answered about…ummm…9/11. If you haven’t heard of Alex Jones or have seen any of his documentaries, I’d start here or here. He streams his radio show that you can listen to and simultaneously research what the subject is as you go. I’ll set up a dummy email account soon and, if you want, we can swat real email addresses. Warning about those sites, it’s just like taking a drink from a fire hydrant, meaning there is a ton of information, so take your time!
One thing that is being overlooked, and/or side-stepped, is that Monkey obviously had a direct tie in to what happened with the Tiahrt family tragedy… He did not find out about it from some supermarket tabloid, as was suggested by somebody last nite… but rather, as Monkey posted… He Was THERE…. I think we would be terribly amiss if we disregard that statement from Monkey… He knows what happened, because he was there… Now, I also sense that he was very deeply affected by that entire situation… And I do think that the keyboard lashing he got here last night was a little overboard… You know, unless you have walked a mile in his shoes…
Just thought that needed to be said!!
Tihart’s son killed himself because of his adolescent impulsivity and the common teenage belief that a problem was much bigger than it really was.
He did what too many teenagers do when they feel like they’re overwhelmed by their problems.
It was no one’s fault.
I don’t like Tihart…but speculating and blaming him for his son’s death is really hitting below the belt.
Chas beat me to it. Holy shite! Chas is a true ally. Sorry for any conflict in earlier posts Chas!
Linda, you might also check out Coast to Coast AM, on KFH Radio, at Midnight every night… Also do a search on their website…

Not a problem!! Hang in there!!
Pleefer
Liberals like me are ideologically different from you libertarians in almost every way.
BUT.
At least us liberals and you libertarians HAVE ideas and ideals.
The Republican party is about nothing but money and power. They’d as easy sell you out and marginalize you as they have tried to do to us.
Oh, Christ . It look like Obama thinks he’s friggin’ Nicholas Negroponte. Yeah, right, technology will solve all our problems:
http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5g4Um08w453MSR2cfVIbz_saa6-Ng
Not that I’m opposed to the type of things the One Economy Corporation is doing. But this is his science advisor ?
Score one for the Hil-dog.
J R,
Completely agree with you. Wasn’t it Lincoln who said, “any man can be tested by adversity, but test his character by giving him power”?
or something to that effect
Liberals and libertarians (real libertarians, ahem), usually agree on most issues of personal freedom, speech, privacy etc.
But even then the devil in the details. :)
One thing that really bugs me about the Republicans is their constant reference to Hillary as Her Thighness………………….
They don’t refer to McCain as His Jowlness. Or as His Short and Fatness?
Or to Huckabee as his Dyed Hair Comb Overness?
Or to Romney as His Plasticness?
So why the slams on Hillary because she doesn’t have the body of a model?
The irony of the clean up the blog isn’t funny to me! Last time the small group of evil liberals were made fun of, laughed at — BY THE PEOPLE WHO NOW WANT TO CLEAN THE PLACE UP! I remember how we were the butt of jokes, our goal stupid and worse. Shaking head and hoping it can happen, but also hoping EVERYONE is held to the same standards!
WS,
Because they (mostly)are inherently evil people posing as good guys. I’m at a loss for words.
I don’t have trouble with those comments, WSC as much as the ones about posters. The comments that most offend me are the ones aimed directly at a poster.
See! We can’t even agree on what is offensive or unacceptable. lol
My reason for supporting the boycott in the first place was because some Right Wing idiot (most likely McCluer) called Linda in KS a slut.
Not ONE of the Right Wingers condemned that comment.
Not One.
But now they are ALL about civility and dignity.
Hypocrites.
JR, did you do anything today to provide for the health chare of your family, or did your “ideas and ideals” prevent you from doing so?
I do have to note your consistency. By refusing to work for a rich person or greedy corporation, you’re not making them any better off.
By not using much fossil fuel today, yoou haven’t contributed much to global warming.
All this must be great consolation to little JR, as he goes without.
‘it doesn’t matter’ posted when referring to JR;
“By refusing to work for a rich person or greedy corporation, you’re not making them any better off.”
All due respect intended mister ‘it doesn’t matter’, I emphatically disagree. Any person, rich or otherwise, and any corporation are much better off not having JR work for them I imagine from what I read on these posts out of JR.
Civility?? Dignity?? Not much of that in the past couple of posts!! Ha!!
What posts? I see one I made, followed by one wsc made, then yours. That blank space before yours is just blank space and worthy of nothing more. It really must be ignored.
So, are you back in Kansas, Chas? And who did you say has your email addess that might also have mine?
Still in Texas, Linda… CapN has my email, and so does Clark… I dont know if you have theirs or not… I should be back in Wichita the week after Easter (March 23)
Oh yea, I see those blank spaces now that you mention it!! LOL
I have both and they both have mine. We were all three part of the small group who wanted to clean up the blog and make posters accountable for their posts and add civility… You know, the idiots, the cry babies, the fisters, other names that don’t mean anything good. But maybe this time when its a highly respected group of level headed, kind, good, etc. people the Eagle will think its time. I hope so.
Well, I have been in touch with them about doing some kind of monitoring… Some of this stuff gets REAL old REAL fast!! I was told by a friend that the UCC national offices took them to task for all of the phony posts about Barak Obama being a member of a racist congregation… in Chicago… I havent heard what, if anything, came out of that encounter…
The SJ does a fantastic job of monitoring their message board.
That’s all I’ve gotta say. We have no trolls, no imposters, and we have had people kicked off the board.
We also have great liberal breadth with our posts.
You can have both freedom and order.
I might have to check out your SJ blog, PMama… Havent had time during Lent, but maybe in the next week or so….
I went to a meetup at The Eagle just over a year ago and we were told it was out of their control at that time but they were working on changes. They changed some, maybe more are coming?? It is possible to disagree more agreeably. And when people must be responsible for their words — can’t hide behind another nic — maybe they would want to tone down the personal attacks just because someone holds a differing opinion.
My little friend sugar got really freaked out on here one night, and had one of her lawyer boyfriends check it out… He was supposed to have a conversation with somebody at the Eagle the next time he is in Wichita… But I havent heard any more on that one yet either…
Hey, I sent that Agnositics Prayer off to three denominational execs… They all three ordered the CD!!
Chas,
Oh really? My father was there too. My father and I both know Tiahrt and have seen the hurt in his family.
We are telling you that MonkeyHawks comments were full of nothing more than the most vile hate.
So, now you have two conflicting accounts of Tiahrts character surrounding the death of his son.
One from my father and I who don’t hide behind a nic and have been to public meet ups where people know us.
The other from someone hiding behind a nic and who won’t reveal his sources other than to say he was there.
Of course, calling yourself a Christian, I would think you would have a bit more to say condemning to the comments MonkeyHawk made than you are now, instead of defending them.
Chas,
I’ve also had an attorney check into some postings on here…and we’ll leave it at that, since that poster seems to have been missing lately.

Wow. I heard that exact same speech from the military who always wanted more and more taxpayer money when I was a kid.
Except then it was Godless communists who posed the diabolical threat against everything holy and just.
Did it ever occur to you, AmWay, that now that communism crashed and burned–and in the process revealed that it was nothing but an empty husk–the warlords need some justification to maintain the 729 military bases of US empire and the rich contractors that feed at the trough of said empire?
Without fear-mongering, we would have to take a rational look at how much military we need, and I’m guessing that it’s not THREE TIMES the rate of per GDP spending of most European countries and Korea and Japan.
I’m guessing that without the irrational hate and fear, our spending MORE on our military than all the other countries in the world COMBINED might seem rather excessive.
Tell me, Nathan, since you are all knowing about that fine man, Todd Tiahrt, does he think that homosexuality is a choice or are people just born that way?
And will he drop his extreme prejudice if homosexuality is proven to be a genetic trait?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???????????????????????????????????
“Nice lie WSClark, try and come up with another one.”
PROVE that I am wrong, McCreepy.
Anyone can use a proxy server.
PROVE that you didn’t.
Nitwit.
Defending what, Nathan?? And maybe Monkey is using his Nic, because, as he said last night, he was THERE… And if your Dad was there too, then that means he probably knows your Dad, and vice/versa… eh??? And maybe he doesnt want you, or your Dad, or anybody else to know WHO he is??? You think???
And, I dont think you find anywhere that I defended anything Monkey said… I said that I can understand it… You might want to not try to insert lies already tonite…
On the McCain brouhaha…
I know Vickie Iseman (she used to be the lobbyist for our network).
If you read the link to the story on the Eagle’s main page, you will realize that it isn’t about sex or influence.
McCain did nothing illegal, immoral or fattening… why he’s choosing to deny that he met with Bud Paxson is beyond me. Heck, I’m just a flunky at a non O&O in Market 67, and I even knew it happened.
It’s making him look sleazy… when in this case, he actually wasn’t.
Chas,
I don’t know what Tiahrts personal beliefs are on homosexuality.
What “extreme prejudice” does he have of homosexuality?
Nothing to say in regards to my comment or are you sticking by some of the most vile and disgusting comments made on this blog by MonkeyHawk?
JimmyMac writes
Oh yes, I can password protect my entire blog and there is an invitation only policy.
You know, Brownlee had/has this same capability, but didn’t do it.
Ever wonder why?
I know why.
******
Why?
You got a few of the same vile and disgusting comments of your own Nathan.
Like a thread a few minutes ago where you didn’t post the topic at all and just a drive by shot at me?
Sorry Chas. It seemed like your 7:08 post was a pretty solid defense of MonkeyHawk.
So, do you condemn the vile comments about Tiahrt made by Monkeyhawk then?
“I don’t know what Tiahrts personal beliefs are on homosexuality.”
Well, I do, Price – he thinks that homosexuality is a choice and that gays do not deserve the same rights as the rest of us.
Good enough for you?
Now defend that position.
Nitwit.
Does anybody know why Luke Tiahrt committed suicide?
The story I heard was that his father sent him to a Christian re-education camp to be “cured” of homosexuality.
That’s what was posted on FreeRepublic.
I have no way of knowing if that’s true or not.
JR,
How is asking your fellow liberals to help you out a drive by shot at you?
Especially when it is following the TOPIC of helping people out.
CapnAmerica and several other posters were making fun of and attacking Republicans for not wanting to help anyone.
My comments were on topic with what your fellow liberals were talking about.
Nathan — WAKE UP!!! I havent said ONE THING about homosexuality here!! GEEZ!!! I get sick and tired of your CRAP!!
I stated V E R Y C L E A R L Y that I did not DEFEND Monkey… I understand what he was saying… Cant you get it right for change??
I am not going to discuss it with you, get it??
WS Clark,
Already calling me names I see.
Have you gotten that test figured out which shows if someone is a homosexual or not, or do you still have to ask them?
Chas,
Sorry Chas. My comments should have been in response to WS Clark, about homosexuality.
My bad.
My fellow liberals HAVE in the past helped me out Nathan.
From you and the cons I get only grief.
Keep it huh?
nathan, you are obviously a tiahrt supporter, as his constitutent, you could give him a message of supporting gays, but you dont. why is that?
his son’s death is just as much your fault.
WSClark, posts; “he thinks that homosexuality is a choice and that gays do not deserve the same rights as the rest of us.”
But gays already have all the same rights as ‘the rest of us’, they have exactly the same rights as everybody else. They don’t deserve special, set apart rights.
And there is no real chance of finding a genetic trait to homosexual behavior, as human genetics has been mapped, and it isn’t there. It is a learned behavior choice.
Well, thats good… I will be sure to tell my gay friends to get on down to the Courthouse and get their marriage license this week!!
“Already calling me names I see.”
Nitwit? Was that the name you were referring to?
That is the name that you and your father call anyone that disagrees with you.
It should be pretty familiar to you.
yah, all the gene thing is done…i guess we better stop looking for all those diseases, clearvision says there is no more research to do!
“It is a learned behavior choice.”
Bullshit. Provide evidence that it is ANYTHING other than a genetic trait.
“But gays already have all the same rights as ‘the rest of us’, they have exactly the same rights as everybody else.”
Really? Can you marry the unmarried, unrelated consenting adult of your choice?
Can gays?

I just checked a post by ksgrm that I missed. She’s gone but I’ll respond to her anyway.
It wrote:
“Pleefer are you trying to start this all over? Was that what the fishing was for? You sound like you knew where the posts in question were all along.”
Yes, I saw that earlier this morning but didn’t think that was the cause of the big hubub. I guess now, that Hank musta been Tiahrt himself the way he was acting. Or maybe Nathan is?
I still don’t like the way MH said it but I understand where MH was coming from.
Political Moma,
Care to post under your real name, instead of hiding, and then accusing me of being culpable in Tiahrts sons death?
If it matters to you at all, I have just lost what ever respect I had for you, after you posted such a horrible thing to me about Tiahrt’s son.
How on earth am I culpable in Tiahrt’s sons death?
WS Clark,
A homosexual can marry anyone of the opposite sex, just like the rest of us.
Nathan, its sort of like WE landed on the moon… Well, you and I didnt, but yet, WE landed on the moon… see??
I’m not gay, and I can’t marry someone of the same sex, but can someone of the other sex. A gay can marry someone of the other sex too, exactly the same as me. I have no problem with two of the same sex having a legal contract or trust agreement and they can live however they want as far as I’m concerned. Marriage is Biblically defined as the union of man and woman, and nothing on Earth can change that.
No genetic testing has ever found a causation for homosexuality, ever.
“A homosexual can marry anyone of the opposite sex, just like the rest of us.”
Can a homosexual marry an unmarried, unrelated consenting adult that they love?
If the answer is “no” then they do NOT have equal rights.
Stop playing word games and look at the facts.
Can anyone stop you from marrying an unrelated, unmarried person of your choice?
Then why should that standard apply to gays?
Answer – because SOME people are AFRAID of gays.
PMom posts under a lot of nics Nathan, she’s done it all of her blogging life.
I know why CapnAmerica…
You want to know why?
Do you really?
It’s the same reason why this blog is on a separate server.
And say there William Stephenson Clark, whoever that poster that garbage about Raptor is the same one who posted that garbage about lindainks55. First time I heard about it is when JR brought it up.
But go ahead and believe in your fairy tales and fables if it makes you feel like a grown up or not.
And WHERE in our blessed Constitution do you find that the entire nation is required to live by a Biblical interpretation??
Oh, I forget… some of you all want to disable the Constitution!! Especially that first amendment part, with freedom of religion??
Its the attitude, one you support nathan, that there is something sinful and wrong with gays. You perpetuate that belief. Gay kids have it harder than anyone else, they’re brought up to believe the very thing they are is sinful and evil and against God to the Core. You help spread this damage to them.
Why does posting under my real name have anything to do with this? I met your father at the meetup.

Stop projecting regular/republikhan/jm…etal.
Uloser–
Actually, that was my first thought too, that JM-RepubliKhan-Regular would track back one’s IP address or e-mail if one logged in.
Given his track record, why anyone would believe anything he posts is a real mystery.
Still waiting to hear why he thinks the editors don’t want log-ins.
I think it’s so they can continue to do nothing about monitoring the WEBlog, with the predictable results we see here every day.
One wonders that when people post links to illegal websites and they don’t do anything about it, whether that makes them complicit.
Serve them right if they got busted for it.
uloser,
Get a grip. I put it up to show what can be done with a blog. I fixed that up today in a few hours.
And the reason why Brownlee can’t do the same?
Ask him yourself.
I know no one will visit, but it is a fine blog with lots of ability. :)
Too bad, a real blog, invitation only and password protected, right there being unused.
dangle, dangle…
Oh and uloser, try and use your real nic next time. Chicken Shiz…
Now what is that called when someone responds irrationally and in fear of something that doesnt pose a threat???
“Marriage is Biblically defined”
The Bible also tells you how you can treat your slaves, that you should not eat pork and that you should never wear clothing made from two different materials.
Do you follow those commandments?
I know why CapnAmerica…
You want to know why?
Uh, yes, that’s why I asked. That’s usually how it works, one asks a question he wants to know the answer to.

See above.
It’s the same reason why this blog is on a separate server.
That’s apparently meant to impress us with JM’s superior knowledge of cyber-stuff. Geekiness, confirmed.
Is there an answer forthcoming? . . . I’m guessing ‘no.’
Wow!
I am friends with several homosexuals and even work with one.
They have all known that I am a very conservative Christian and we have even had very civil discussions on homosexuality.
I have yet to spread any damage to them.
It doesn’t appear as if I have damaged KFG any either.
On top of all that, what proof do you have that Tiahrts son was gay?
“And say there William Stephenson Clark, whoever that poster that garbage about Raptor is the same one who posted that garbage about lindainks55″
Huh? English translation please.
WS Clark,
Seriously. A homosexual has all the same rights as anyone else does. They can marry someone of the opposite sex just like everyone else.
There you have it.
Strange.
None of the Tiahrt apologists know why the boy killed himself but they all know that it shouldn’t be discussed.
“I am friends with several homosexuals and even work with one.”
Do they know of your hatred of homosexuals and desire to deny rights to them?
Do they know how you judge them and have condemned them to Hell?
It means WSClark I’m tired going to bed and really don’t give a crap what you believe.
It’s unimportant just as you are unimportant.
Heehee, Clark–

WS Clark,
For someone who claims to be such an avid reader of the bible, you make all the same misconceptions about what it says, as the average person who has no clue what they are talking about.

Chas, you are such a pantywaste. Every time someone comes in that disagrees, and you can’t win, you run behind your “DNFTT”. Which is just fine with me, much of the asinine dribble that gets put on this blog, and everything out of you, causes me to become so bored with it. I simply can’t understand why the Eagle even continues to sponsor it unless it’s some study they are doing in utter stupidity. It’s the only place I know where when you and you DemLib friends get together the collective intelligence drops to single cell organism level.
“They can marry someone of the opposite sex just like everyone else.”
You deliberately missed the point – now answer the question – can they marry the unrelated, unmarried consenting adult that they love or can they not?
Easy question, even for a nitwit.
Nathan, then please tell us ALL what it is that you are SO afraid of with the Gay Community being able to be MARRIED…. I mean, if they are in your Church, hey go for it… Your church has the right to say NO to Gay Marriage!! YOU have that right as an individual… But the NATION doesnt have the right to BAN Gay Marriage based on a religious interpretation by ANY group!!
Seriously Nathan, I don’t think they think of you as any sort of friend. They just put up with you.
WS Clark,
I have never condemned anyone to hell and I don’t hate anyone.
The only person between you and I to spew hatred is you.
I have said over and over again that I treat a homosexual no different than anyone else and that we are called to love them like anyone else.
It is only you who is fixiated with hate, not me.
Political Moma,
And you would know that how?
Listen up all you heartless humans.
The Tiarht child is dead. Why are you bringing this up?
What a bunch of cruel, heartless losers you Leftist Libs are.
What you are doing is extremely cruel and you can’t even see it.
Or you don’t care.
My guess is the latter and that’s why the world thinks you are the slimiest beings on the planet.
Persecutor, Accuser, Victim – Leftist Liberal pattern – they can’t break it – it’s what they are.
“Those rules were for a specific people, during a specific time, under a different relationship with God.”
So why do ANY of those rules apply to us today?
Why be selective in which rules you obey and who are you to decide which rules are valid and which are not?
Don’tcha know, that’s what Terry Fox told him to say.
Nathan

WS Clark,
Seriously. A homosexual has all the same rights as anyone else does. They can marry someone of the opposite sex just like everyone else.
There you have it.
==================================
Now THAT is just plain Goofy!!
AMEN Clark!! Right on Bro!!
Just because you want to keep gays from getting married and even support a constitutional amendment to outlaw gay marriage for all time doesn’t mean that you hate them.
For instance, Ol’ Masser shore did luv his slaves, but he’d never allow his son or daughter to marry one!
No hate there at all.
“I have said over and over again that I treat a homosexual no different than anyone else and that we are called to love them like anyone else.”
Then why do you want to deny them the same right that you have to marry an unrelated, unmarried consenting adult that they love?
Eh?
Could it be that you are just a wee bit prejudiced against gays?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Are you afraid that a gay person might “turn” you?
Cherry boy.
Nathan – what you say is really not true. Marriage confers with it a host of legal protections that a gay couple cannot readily access. Thus they do not, in fact, have equal protections. My solution is simple – separate God’s marriage from Caeser’s civil union. Under my scenario there would be no such thing as ‘marriage’ in a legal sense; that sacrament should remain in the realm of the church. ‘Union’ would be the civil (Caeser) part and would be available for any couple.
Priests etc are currently allowed to perform the civil ‘marriage’; I would continue to allow them to perform the ‘union’ as they do their religious ceremony. (I got married twice in the same day – once when we filled out the paperwork and once in Mass) I would also allow them to choose not to perform them in situations where that would go against their beliefs – as is the situation today.
It seems to me that this would both serve to protect ‘marriage’ as a sacrament of the church while also allowing for equal protection of others.
WS Clark,
Paul speaks in the New Testament about our being under a new covenant and God even shows Paul about how we are no longer required to follow certain things anymore.
I don’t arbitrarily decide to follow anything or not.
I simply read what the Bible says and listen to it.
I don’t sacrifice animals to God at my altar for my sins anymore either.
I thought you were going to bed, Regular.
CapN — I dont believe for one minute that ANY Court would allow such an amendment to stand.. Because the proponents want to make a Biblical thing out of their anti-gay amendment… And I dont even think a conservative court is going to rule against the Fist Amendment…
It used to be illegal for people to marry outside their race. Of course, everyone had the same right to marry – as long as it was a person of the other sex and within their race. Should we return to that?
If the state defines marriage, they can define who can marry.
Just as the state can define one can’t marry a relative or a person under a certain age or a pony, they can define marriage as the union of those of the opposite sex and not of the same sex and those rule apply to all equally. You may not like that, but tough.
Ah yes, and watch how you all turn nasty.
Is it any wonder why you hide under nics and will never come to a public meet up?
I wouldn’t want anyone to know who I was either if I posted the garbage several of you do here.
Hence why it is time for the Eagle to require sign in and start banning people for such vile behavior on their blog.
Saul – an interesting fellow. Never met Jesus Christ; all we have is his word that he had a vision in the desert. So, it seems that the writings of Paul are more important than the words of Christ.
we will have gay marriage someday soon. You may not like that, but tough.
Ben — Marriage is already a Civil matter… All the Church is doing in the Sacrament, or Rite of Marriage is putting its blessing on the Marriage officially recorded by the State…
And, of course, any Church in this nation is free to NOT accept Gay marriage in their “religious” group… LOTS of people get married every day, legally, and NEVER see the inside of a Church!! LOL
Ben,
If the argument is simply that someone be allowed to marry another consenting person that also loves them, then why stop with homosexuality?
Do you also support polygamous marriage? Incestual marriage?
They’ve all met me. I’m more than willing to come to another blog meetup hosted by the Eagle.
Well Nathan I have met you in person on several occasions.
You are polite and even reserved in person.
You are something else in this forum.
“Paul speaks in the New Testament about our being under a new covenant and God even shows Paul about how we are no longer required to follow certain things anymore.”
Well, did Saul define which things should be followed and which things could be ignored?
Naw……………………….
And………………………
“Is it any wonder why you hide under nics and will never come to a public meet up?”
I post under my real name, Price, and I have the birth certificate to prove it.
And I don’t go to meets because I do not want to waste my time with people that I do not like in the least.
Anymore questions?
Ben,
Where did I ever say that Pauls words were more important than Christs?
They do no conflict with any of Christs teachings.
Nathan, you hit the nail on the head.
The Leftist Libs who hide behind their nics do so, so they can make nasty and hideous comments. WSClark is most likely fake as well.
Nathan, the Eagle can do a sign up in a few minutes.
It’s not like its a hard thing to do.
But you know what it means, it means they have to take responsibility for the blog and monitor it.
They don’t want to do either. And, it’s the reason the blog is on a separate server from Eagle, in case something happens – legally.
Good grief, Nathan, NOBODY is arguing for incestuous marriage… There are already laws against that… And as for polygamy, that one could be up for grabs based on BIBLICAL evidence… so you better watch that one!!
I do not think further meetups are something the Eagle is considering.
I know I wouldn’t go to one without careful screening back channel.
That multi nic James has made threats and while I think I may have already been in the same room with him (KSGolfnut) I really do not want to meet him again.
Ben and WS Clark,
If you want to be taken seriously at all, then why would you address Paul as Saul?
I realize that was his name before, but his name was clearly changed to be referred to Paul.
You could at least respect that simple fact.
Dumbass…………..
“Do you also support polygamous marriage? Incestual marriage?”
Unrelated, unmarried consenting adult.
Damn, LEARN to read Price.
And hey, I know the post wasn’t directed at me, but stupidity deserves an instant response.
Every time we nail you fundies on Gay marriage being LEGAL, you always have to throw in incest, and polygamy… want to go for dogs, and cats, and cows and pigs while you are at it???
“The Leftist Libs who hide behind their nics do so”
So, your name is ACTUALLY Regular?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??????????????????????????
Did your Mom name you that because of your bowel movements?
WS Clark,
Why do you choose to limit marriage like that? Don’t consenting adults deserve to get married to the one or ones they love even if it is more than one?
I always wondered about people who thought sexual orientation was a “choice.”
They seem to be people who are one crafty sales pitch away from dropping out of the Marine Reserves and going shopping for fabrics! All it takes is some silver-tounged (ahem) devil and “Nathan” and “Clearvision” and “Regular, et al” would open a combination florist and choreography shop.
Chas,
Why not? Who are you to say a man or woman doesn’t love their pet and shouldn’t be allowed to marry it?
Incestuous? In that case I would consider the genetic problems and whether that then becomes a State concern.
Polygamy? My concern there is whether it is truly free will – at least in many of those we have seen (sanctioned by Christian churches by the way) have involved force and children. As long as consenting adults I would tend to be OK with it.
A tricky part here is just how would the civil aspects be structured. Right now we have a significant ‘two-some’ aspect of the legal implications of marriage. I’m not sure how that would structure with more than two.
An interesting sidelight. I read somewhere that in England (I think) that there was a pair of older sisters who wanted to ‘union.’ It had nothing to do with sex – strictly for the legal protections. Why not? Consider a couple of widows who want to join their assets in order to survive better. They want the legal protections – hospital visitation, inheritence, etc. How does that threaten my 37-year heterosexual marriage?
“If you want to be taken seriously at all, then why would you address Paul as Saul?”
Because that was his freakin’ name.
Why don’t you call Him, Joshua, as that is the correct translation for the name you call Jesus?
I see the the worst blog offender has shown up.
I can only put up with so much for one night.
Have fun.
“Don’t consenting adults deserve to get married to the one or ones they love even if it is more than one?”
Why don’t we start with allowing gays to marry?
Nathan, that is just pure and simple stupidity!! Is that what your favorite congressman believes too??? I might have to look into running against him!!
“Who are you to say a man or woman doesn’t love their pet and shouldn’t be allowed to marry it?”
Ah, because animals CANNOT consent?
Did you miss that part, cherry boy?
Seriously, however, there ARE cultures in this world where humans are allowed to marry their pets or other animals of their choice… Of course, most of those cultures also believe in re-incarnation…
Gay marriage will never happen.
Civil Union – maybe.
Ben, yours is a reasonable argument but the state may not want to give a host of legal protections to gay couples, or have any reason for doing so. Those protections may well be for the protection of procreation and reserved for couples of the opposite sex.
Also, consider your suggestion that “Under my scenario there would be no such thing as ‘marriage’ in a legal sense; that sacrament should remain in the realm of the church. ‘Union’ would be the civil (Caeser) part and would be available for any couple”. That doesn’t work as gays are never satisfied with that, and then push for full recognition of their union as marriage in the full sense, on equal basis, and that is an intrusion on all, and I did say all, universally everywhere in the world religions and their practice.
Clark, he didnt miss it at all… Heknows he is BEAT on the legal end, so he is just trying to throw up STUPID diversions… You know, all that stuff that wouldnt be allowed in a Courtroom???
Regular – actually, civil union is what I favor. INSTEAD os Caeser’s marriage. Then leave the sacraments to the church.
Chas, he isn’t beat.
What’s the law in the State of Kansas and many other states?
Appears to me, your opinion is on the losing side with the majority of the U.S.
And for good reason.
“the Eagle can do a sign up in a few minutes.
It’s not like its a hard thing to do.
But you know what it means, it means they have to take responsibility for the blog and monitor it.
They don’t want to do either. And, it’s the reason the blog is on a separate server from Eagle, in case something happens – legally.”
I agree.
The Eagle wants the hits. They want the free feedback. And they want the advertising revenue.
But they don’t want the expense of doing anything.
Real nice.
Meanwhile, kids can log on anytime of day and find convenient hot-links to “RealRapeVideo.com” in the “recently posted” column . . .
I agree Ben.
BTW, I found out I have a relative named Huie (by marriage) that lives in Georgia!!! (married grandson of one of my mother’s cousins)
Sorry, had to throw that in. :)
. . . And even worse . . .
It is humorous, or ironic in the least, that the two LEAST experienced so-called heterosexual males on this blog are the two most opposed to gay marriage.
Neither of these two have ever been with a woman, neither have even been close to having been married, but yet they have decided that THEY are the experts on marriage and should be allowed to decide for everyone else who and when then can marry.
Does this seem a bit strange to anyone else?
If someone else’s marriage threatens yours, then yours wasn’t worth a damn to begin with.
Nitwits.
By George, you may have something there, Clark!
Maybe they’re keeping their options open for that hunky guy that may show up in their lives any day now . . .
Georgia – my home state. Definitely a relative. We are all over Georgia and the rest of the South.
I’m out ’till later.
G’night, all.
Well – off to bed. Morning comes far too early – especially at my age! :)
Regular – it would be fun to ‘compare notes’ on our relative.
Okay WSClark,
By your logic, a Priest who has never been with a woman has no business in conducting a marriage or in giving counseling for pre-marriage or having to do anything with a marriage.
Flaw logic once again WSClark – par for the course.
CV… you got your facts all screwed up, cause you cant see thru your religious bigotry… Marriage is ALREADY CIVIL… Did you not see my post to that effect earlier???
Marriage ALREADY IS a civil union!! It is licensed by the state, not the Church… It is dissolvable by the State, not the Church…
And, much to your dismay, it WILL be legally recognized SOON!! Because the whole country is fast understanding that Gays being married is not a threat to anybody!!
BTW, I already posted here once that the REAL Reason you knotheads are against Gay Marriage is because of the issue of procreation!!
I was told I was stupid… So, THANK YOU for underscoring what I have known for years was the bottom line of anti-gay marriage!!
Oh yea, one more thing…
Neener Neener Neener!!! :-D
“Nathan” protests –
“Who are you to say a man or woman doesn’t love their pet and shouldn’t be allowed to marry it?
Last Thursday, the day that guy was arrested for having sex with a rottweiller, we didn’t have any posts from “Nathan.” I guess it takes a while to get the bail-bondsman on the phone.
This evening we get another hint from “Nathan” that he not only loves dogs, but he loves dogs.
I’m assuming the rottweiller was a female. “Nathan” has his principles, after all.
Ben, he lives in Decatur if that’s any clue. I don’t know his wife’s first name and know very little about him as I’ve only met him once briefly. I could ask my mother, but she takes a bit of coaxing for that kind of information. :D
“WS Clark,
“Seriously. A homosexual has all the same rights as anyone else does. They can marry someone of the opposite sex just like everyone else.
“There you have it.”
They just can’t marry the person they love, because people like YOU don’t like it.
You are wrong on this position, period. It’s none of your damn business.
.
MonkeyHock proves once again he is a lower life form.
Funny stuff Monkey… Nathan ALWAYS brings up that crap about animals, and incest, and all that other garbage whenever he gets on the ropes, and cant defend his anti-gay standing on anything but religious grounds!! Happens every time…
But, see, I am waiting for it to get into court… IN fact, if I had the money, I would pay the legal team to take it to the Courts, and then, once the religious BS is stripped out of it, then we would hear the PROPER legal ruling… NO discrimination against gays in marriage!!
“By your logic, a Priest who has never been with a woman has no business in conducting a marriage or in giving counseling for pre-marriage or having to do anything with a marriage.”
Sounds good to me, what’s the problem?
“Last Thursday, the day that guy was arrested for having sex with a rottweiller, we didn’t have any posts from “Nathan.” I guess it takes a while to get the bail-bondsman on the phone.

At least no Minister of God’s Word.
In fact, no self-respecting adult would write something like that or what MonkeyHock wrote.
Beg your pardon Chas, but I’m not really worried about gay marriage becoming a reality at least very widespread. Anytime it comes up for a vote of the populous it is voted down overwhelmingly, even in weird Calf. The only places it has succeeded is when the legislators go against popular will and that, or they, won’t last long.
And as I said the state can define marriage however they decide and that can certainly not include same sex marriage.
Gays just need to get themselves to a attorney and they can contractual and through trusts accomplish everything they need to shy of making everyone accept they union as ‘normal’.
“Appears to me, your opinion is on the losing side with the majority of the U.S.”
Until 1910, the majority of the US thought that women should not be allowed to vote.
Until the early Seventies, inter-racial marriage was illegal in parts of the South.
Until 1965, many Americans did not believe in equal voting rights for “coloreds.”
So, because the majority is against it, does that make it right?
Nitwit.
Uh yeah “ksag” have you seen what Nathan has posted about me?
Oh yeah you’re new.
Well for the record? Nathan has no boundaries as to what he will post. Why should he be afforded any better?
ClearVision — Regular — Nathan –
YOU ARE ALL FLAT OUT BLATANT BIGOTS!!!
AND YES, REGULAR… MOST CLERGY NOW DAYS CONDEMN BIGOTRY… UNLESS THEY, TOO, ARE BIGOTS!! I AM IN QUITE GOOD COMPANY TO CALL YOU AND THESE OTHER CLOWNS BIGOTS!! AND I CAN THROW IN HATE MONGERS, AND HOMOPHOBES AS WELL…
At least I dont post on the Blog aabout the size of another man’s testicles!!! ROFL!!
“they need to shy of making everyone accept they union as ‘normal’.”
What is “abnormal” about gays?
The gay population is about 4% of the total, roughly the same as it is in the animal population, proving that it is normal.
Gays think that what you do is abnormal.
JR,
Still posting your lies?
Perhaps if you didn’t talk about how good looking 16 year olds are and what they do for you, I wouldn’t point out the obvious.
” because the majority is against it, does that make it right?”
In this case, yes.
Because in the individual States it has been brought up time and again; only to be voted down – time and again.
The people have spoken – many times.
The unrepentant Chas at 10:22 proves my point, Chas is not a Minister of God’s Word.
You know what?? I think all of these idiot posters opposed to Gay Marriage are the ones who are abnormal…
These are people who want to SEGREGATE people by sexual orientation… Keep them SEPARATE from benefits that ALL OTHER married couples are entitled to by Law…
These are people who want to make and maintain a “Second Class” of citizens who are clearly a Minority…
Yep, that would qualify as BIGOTRY!!
I DONT DO BUSINESS WITH BIGOTS!!
BYE BIGOTS!! HOPE YOU HAVE A GRAND BIGOTED TIME OF YOUR WORTHLESS POINT OF VIEW LIVES!!
All these people Chas, are the majority of the people in the United States.
Deal
With
It.
“The people have spoken – many times”
Yeah, THEY spoke about women voting, slavery, inter-racial marriage and voting rights for “coloreds”
Does that make it right?
What if the majority of Kansans (a distinct probability) voted to have you snuffed because you were a nic stealing, nic switching troll?
Would you be okay with that?
What if the majority of Kansans (a distinct probability) voted to have you snuffed because you were a nic stealing, nic switching troll?

—————————
I’m not and your comment is beyond ridiculous and unworthy of an adult response.
“Ben, yours is a reasonable argument but the state may not want to give a host of legal protections to gay couples, or have any reason for doing so. Those protections may well be for the protection of procreation and reserved for couples of the opposite sex.”
Clear Vision, I remarried within the past year to a widow. We are both well past the “procreation” age. By this logic, we shouldn’t get married either. That reasoning is bogus.
“Also, consider your suggestion that ‘Under my scenario there would be no such thing as ‘marriage’ in a legal sense; that sacrament should remain in the realm of the church. ‘Union’ would be the civil (Caeser) part and would be available for any couple’. That doesn’t work as gays are never satisfied with that, and then push for full recognition of their union as marriage in the full sense, on equal basis, and that is an intrusion on all, and I did say all, universally everywhere in the world religions and their practice.”
1) I don’t agree with Ben for two reasons. One, marriage historically has been a civil more than a religious institution and two, some churches, like my own, recognize gay marriage, and we should be free to pursue our religious freedom, just as other churches can (wrongly) pursue theirs on this issue.
2) The biggest bullsh*t argument posted on this issue (other than the stupid beastilality argument, is the idea that the very idea of gay marriage somehow is an “imposition” on people who don’t believe in it. There is no right to be free from offense. It is not an imposition to have your beliefs about marriage not be the law. This is the same argument that was used against legalized interracial marriage as recently as the middle decades of the last century. The imposition argument is just incredible in its arrogance. Someone else being married to someone that they are romantically and sexually attracted to, someone they LOVE, is the business of her/him and her/his partner. It is not the business of people like you. Period.
3) Given the above, I don’t think that people who are romantically and sexually attracted to people of the same gender should settle for anything less than the legal right to MARRY. Their marriages are already fact in terms of the committment and the partnership. The widows and widowers of same sex relationships that I have met are no less widows or widowers because their marriages were not recognized.
“I’m not and your comment is beyond ridiculous and unworthy of an adult response.”
In other words, you are DAMNED glad that it doesn’t have to come down to a vote, ‘cuz you would be looking at a date with Ole’ Sparky instead of a date with Breezy the Blow Up doll.
Nitwit…
“The unrepentant Chas at 10:22 proves my point, Chas is not a Minister of God’s Word.”
Liar and troll (and it should know why I have made this observation). And it claims it can be a moderator.
Of course, this post was soup to it.
So, no (more) soup for you.
And you seem to have an unnatural tendency to post as to animals and human animal intimacy Nathan.
What does that imply as to you Marine boy?
“ClearVision” determines –
“Gays just need to get themselves to a attorney and they can contractual and through trusts accomplish everything they need to shy of making everyone accept they union as ‘normal’.:
As opposed to a $25 marriage license?
Yeah, there are plenty of ways same-gender couples can get around the black-ink discrimination, if they are willing and able to spend thousands of dollars with an attorney.
Rosa Parks probably could have ridden at the front of the bus had she merely slipped the driver a C-Note every time she boarded.
The only argument you’ve got, “ClearVision,” is the religious one. And that ain’t the way America’s supposed to work, under the Constitution.
You, “ClearVision,” (and you, “Nathan” and “Regular et al”) are so afraid some strapping young Richard Simmons look-alike will charm you into wanting to marry him, and the only thing you’ve got is “But, but, but… it’s illegal!
All your arguments have been heard ksagnostic, yet the individual States keep voting it down.
Could it be your opinion is in the small minority of society?
Or is it something else?
Society doesn’t reward deviant behavior.
“Uh yeah “ksag” have you seen what Nathan has posted about me?
“Oh yeah you’re new.”
1) No, I’m not.
2) What Nathan has posted about you is irrelevant with regards to the observation I made. Monkeyhawk’s comments are still out of line.
3) The taunts you get about your son’s health insurance are stupid. Satisfied?
how about you stop using Jesus as an excuse to be a narrowminded bigot?
“Society doesn’t reward deviant behavior.”
To you, McCreepy, any SEXUAL behavior, since you are a non-participant, is deviant, but that is not your call. Who are you to call anything deviant?
Medical science is in agreement that homosexuality is genetic. If you don’t believe that, post something from a CREDIBLE medical journal that states otherwise.
Given that it is genetic, then what is your argument AGAINST gay marriage?
Or do you believe that short, fat, ugly people of the opposite sex should not be allowed to marry?
“All your arguments have been heard ksagnostic, yet the individual States keep voting it down.
“Could it be your opinion is in the small minority of society?”
It’s changing, which is why the votes are being had in the first place. (BTW, I consider this a non-trollish argument-so, I responded). The opposition to gay marriage fades considerably with younger and younger generations. Already, we have a lot more people who will be willing to consider “civil unions”, which is progress (towards a second class citizenship option, but it does represent movement) than a decade ago.
In the meantime, the subject won’t go away, and eventually there will come a time when people will realize that same sex marriages don’t have any effect on other marriages.
This is not the first time that a majority has had unfounded fears. Those who have profited from whipping up those fears will find that thanks to them, this subject won’t go away and people will continue to think about it. I am ultimately optimistic, but in the meantime these denials by voters who are voting morally wrong on this issue are causing real pain to those who never did them any harm.
“Or is it something else?
“Society doesn’t reward deviant behavior.”

“Society doesn’t reward deviant behavior.”
To you, McCreepy, any SEXUAL behavior, since you are a non-participant, is deviant, but that is not your call. Who are you to call anything deviant?
FALSE: Non-participation (being single) is not the anti-thesis of marriage.
Society calls it deviant behavior. If it was not deviant, then it would be normal. This is not the case, the individual States keep voting marriage amendments down. Thusly, it is not considered normal and is considered deviant behavior and thusly not rewarded.
ABSOLUTELY FALSE: “Medical science is in agreement that homosexuality is genetic. If you don’t believe that, post something from a CREDIBLE medical journal that states otherwise.”
If this were true, then passage of same sex marriage laws would occur tomorrow. You know it’s not true and so does everyone else. Why do you write these falsehoods?
ALREADY GIVEN: (remember? deviant behavior?)
“Given that it is genetic, then what is your argument AGAINST gay marriage?”
ANOTHER REMARK UNWORTHY OF AN ADULT RESPONSE: “Or do you believe that short, fat, ugly people of the opposite sex should not be allowed to marry?”
Semi-thoughtful argument ksagnostic, but you frittered away your chances with speculation.
Better luck next time.
KsAgnostic, Clear Vision posted what he/she posted about the procreation issue… because, that is unfortunately the bottom line of the entire issue… Once they think they have banned Gay marriage, then they are going to try to ban marriage between ANY adults that can no longer procreate… My marriage, like yours, would be banned under such a Talibanic system as that…
This should explain a lot about sexuality and the Marine Corps —- gotta read 3-4 pages til it gets good and talks about animals

FALSE ASSUMPTION
Show me a precedent.
“Society calls it deviant behavior. If it was not deviant, then it would be normal.”
Thus, when societies considered interracial marriage “deviant”, it was by definition deviant.
When southern society considered interracial restaurants, drinking fountains, and restrooms deviant, it was by defintion deviant.
There is no difference in the logic you employed here and the logic that was employed, stridently, by segregationalists in the 1940’s, 1050’s and 1960’s.
“Semi-thoughtful argument ksagnostic, but you frittered away your chances with speculation.

Goodnight.
“FALSE: Non-participation (being single) is not the anti-thesis of marriage.”
Non-participant, as in being a fifty eight year old virgin.
“ABSOLUTELY FALSE: “Medical science is in agreement that homosexuality is genetic. If you don’t believe that, post something from a CREDIBLE medical journal that states otherwise.””
Post something from a CREDIBLE medical journal that states that homosexuality is a choice, otherwise, STFU.
“If this were true, then passage of same sex marriage laws would occur tomorrow.”
Nonsense – the American people can be sold any stupid story and most will believe it without question. It is up to responsible people that ACTUALLY look at facts to make a clear headed decision.
So why are you against gay marriage, McCreepy? Do you think that gays are deviant or do you see them as a threat?
Nitwit.
Hi James.
Now I know you better than most.
Most people don’t believe you are responsible for many con nics here.
Me I see otherwise.
I HAVE invited you to put it to the test.
I called a meetup once. I even invited Nathan.
Now it’s time for you to call a meetup James.
Since the editors are afraid of calling one where you would show up?
You call your meetup James. Get “Max” and “American way” and “boxlock” and “clearvision” and “it doesn’t matter” to attend.
I’ll show up all alone. Of course, so will you.
Now call your sister to tuck you in and give you your meds.
“KsAgnostic, Clear Vision posted what he/she posted about the procreation issue… because, that is unfortunately the bottom line of the entire issue… Once they think they have banned Gay marriage, then they are going to try to ban marriage between ANY adults that can no longer procreate… My marriage, like yours, would be banned under such a Talibanic system as that…”
No, they (CR activists) aren’t (with the exception of some really wacked out Christian Reconstructionists, but they are a tiny minority of the Christian Right). This is about prejudice against people who are gay, and it is led by people who want their religious based prejudices accomodated by law. However, the procreation argument is revealed to be impoverished BECAUSE they are perfectly willing to accept heterosexual marriage between people who are past reproductive age.

we will have gay marriage someday soon. You may not like that, but tough”
Voters in twenty some states have enacted laws which are contrary to your opinion. More will follow.
What you might have will be civil unions. I have no objection to gays being joined in a civil union. (In fact I don’t object to what any two people do in the privacy of their own lives at all.)
But I think the Christian Right is adamant, and many Christians agree – that marriage is between a man and a woman.
Don’t shoot me. Just my Opinion.
CapnAmerica: Saw your comment on my earlier post. I don’t necessarily agree with the General’s position of comments either. I did think people from both sides on this blog would want to know how extreme some leaders are thinking. I think it was one of my Just FYI, without comment posts….
Good luck with your solo meetup JR. I invited everyone to Denny’s already. I was generous that day, even gave the waitress a $10.00 tip because it was the day after Valentine’s Day and she needed to smile. :)
I have no clue who the other posters are you mentioned, nor would I know how to contact them other than here. Nor do I know they even live in Kansas or Wichita.
You don’t know me at all JR. You think you do, but you don’t.
Hey, AmWay, I am still waiting for those “blue flashing lights.”
Can you help me out here – I am getting tired of waiting?
J R
Just saw your post 10:55 pm. I may disagree with you 180 degrees and 99 percent of the time, but I am not the one you think I am (sigh). Trying to stay out of this fray.
But I also will not show up at any meet-up. I’m not from your area and I’ve been adamant all along about internet security/privacy. Check my past posts on the issue. Basically, I think revealing your personal information on the internet is a big mistake.
Can you help me out here – I am getting tired of waiting?
Paranoid Clark? It’s a sign. )
“I invited everyone to Denny’s already.”
With about three minutes notice, after being invited to “visit” Pawnee and Meridian.
Loser.
“Paranoid Clark? It’s a sign. )”
No paranoia, Kitrell, none whatsoever. Actually I think this is REALLY humorous.
Just calling your bluff, dumbass. You ain’t got nothing, boy, and that is the same thing your wife says to you every night.
Nothing, except in your dreams.
My location was better and inside WSClark. You gave a street corner intersection, not an actual place.
“BECAUSE they are perfectly willing to accept heterosexual marriage between people who are past reproductive age.”
I know some of them do… However, I have encountered a few groups in the Upper Midwest, who are most adamant against allowing marriage for Gays, and for adults who cannot bear children… They, like the CR groups, are most scary!!
SOME of those groups, are followers of The “Rev” D. James Kennedy… FYI

Well Chas, I know people who believe in UFO’s and the Abominable Snowman too. Doesn’t mean there is any substance to it.
Gotta hit the rack. I’ve gotta get my beauty sleep so I can make LOTSA MONEY to pay my taxes so someone will get more FREE MONEY from me. Getting tired of all the overtime the last week, and more coming. But you on the beggar end of life, should be grateful to me. Missed blogging as much.
Blog on without me. I see everyone is stirred up again. My opinion is to treat each other with the utmost respect, which you would want for yourself.
(but hell I’m as guilty as the next one.)
Well I called a meetup before.
Maybe I need to again.
Since James won’t?
I’ll put it off for better weather and for James to invent more nics in the meantime.
Then we will just see who on the right is for real.
Don’t blame me wingers. This is the way James wanted it.
“You gave a street corner intersection, not an actual place.”
You called me out, fat man, and I gave you a time, a place and a business.
You wimped out, like the true coward that you are.
Before the idiots jump in, it was YOU that called ME out – I just accepted the challenge.
Nitwit.
outta here, eyes slamming shut…
“My opinion is to treat each other with the utmost respect, which you would want for yourself.”
Yeah, right, like telling folks that you are going to have them arrested because they may have smoked pot in the past.
The utmost respect.
Yeah, right.
Clark,
Your response is typical and as to be expected.
I’m sure your grandchildren are proud of granddaddy
and the name calling and degrading insults.
I guess that makes you an adult and a real man.
Have you looked into any of the classes on anger management?
“eyes slamming shut…”
Brain slammed shut years ago………………
“I guess that makes you an adult and a real man.”
Grandkids and kids know that Grandpa will stand up for what is right and to Hell with the fools that stand in the way.
My kids and grandkids respect me, in part because Grandpa (as I am known) WILL stand up and face down idiots like you and McCreepy.
I could go into more detail, but it would be lost on sheep like you AmWay.
Before society accepts any and all, it takes people like me to stand up to the bigots and fools.
Nitwit.
Still waiting for them “flashing lights” AmWay – you wouldn’t have been BULLSHITTING me now, would you?
Don’t tell me that your popgun wasn’t loaded.
Loser.
Well my thera flu is kicking in and James is loose for the night.
Why call a meetup in the middle of the night and on short/no notice James?
What does that prove other than that you have no familial obligations and a wealth of free (government financed) time?
I think you better skin out to Hanks blog there James. You’re done and overdone here.
Hey, James doesnt believe in UFO’s either!! Or the Abominable Snowman!! No wonder he is messed up in the head!!
AmWay your 12:18 post was the best of the day. Course, that’s not saying much. Sorry I couldn’t respond sooner.
One key point in that post is proven on this blog everyday.
–” both parties are putting their hate toward willingness to do anything for political dominance to include lying and always taking the opposite stand just for the sake of being opposed. JUST HOW GOOD IS THAT FOR OUR COUNTRY?”
Debate between competing ideas is a good thing. Constant personal attacks using any means available, will tear down America.
There were many other good points as well, Amway.
–The US needs to deal with the Iranian threat in the Mideast, since America refuses to do anything to gain energy independence.
–Liberals ignore the need for short-term and long-term solutions to energy. In the short-term, we need to use coal, drill for oil in America, nuclear, and to some extent use ethanol.
Current plans are focusing just on ethanol. So America sacrifices its food supply to fuel cars. How smart is that?
And for the long-term: Liberals even criticize Wind Farms! There’s no push for renewable alternatives such as Wind, Solar, Wave power, Geothermal, Garbage generators, Hydrogen fueled cars, Trucks-to-Trains, passenger trains, etc…..
To save Anwar we tear up every square foot of tillable soil in the lower 48, and flood it to the max with chemicals, and grow corn for ethanol – eroding our soil and polluting our land and water supply.
–The Economy of America is powered by energy, and our ability to produce things for ourselves vs importing from China, determines the long-term strength of America.
“The economy in this country will totally die if that Middle East supply is cut off right now. It will not be a recession. It will be a depression that will make 1929 look like the “good-old-days”.”
–I’ve posted that before, several times. Combine major energy shortages, the $40 Trillion+ Social Security Medicare crisis, the new Socialist spending programs like National Health Care, and America will be a crippled nation in less then 20 years. (Course Global Warming will kill us in 10 years, so WTF?)
You know, if I didn’t have kids, I might not give a damn. But since I have 3 youngsters, I’m truly concerned about the crippled America they will live in very soon.
America has major problems. But thank God for blogs like this where we can ignore the real world. And we can have major debates personally attacking each other in cyberspace, while the world goes all to hell.
Good night; Good luck;
God Bless; Whatever you
Conceive God to be!!
Blessings All!!
Don’t have to look far -
From Clark at 11:21 to Chas at 11:35.
Keep up the great work guys!
Did you have anything to say, Max, or just more “blame the liberals” crap?
NOTHING has ever been accomplished under conservative government in the United States – nothing.
What do the conservatives have to offer other than hatred for liberals – hatred for half of the American population?
The conservatives fail to realize – at their peril – that well over half of the American population considers themselves to be liberal or progressive.
The Cons have nothing except hatred for American values.
The nasty Liberals are going to kick Republican booty all over the map in November. They have nothing except an old man with a lousy comb over.
The time has come for new thinking, new ideas, new solutions for old problems, new faces to replace the old losers and new leaders to replace those that failed to lead.
The times has come for people of all ages, races and persuasions to stand up and bring America into the future instead of looking to the past for more of the same old failed answers.
The time has come to seize the time – the time has come for a new tomorrow – not more of the same old stuff recycled.
Thank God for America! The time has come for the people to stand up to bigotry, hatred and the politics of the past!
LOL
Taking a page from the Obama platitudes?
“The time has come to seize the time”
LOL
““The time has come to seize the time””
Hey, dumbshit, the expression comes from the Sixties – seize the time.
Only a freakin’ homophobic, racist idiot like you would make such a statement.
And yes, “seize the time” was a civil rights expression from the Sixties.
You remember civil rights, correct, something that you are totally against?
What does YOUR side have to offer, Price?
Hatred for gays?
Fear of the bogeyman?
More tax cuts despite deficits and debt?
Look out, there is a gay man?!?!?!
What else do you folks have?
Not a god damn thing, nothing, more of the same, Bush III.
That is it.
Losers.
WS Clark,
I would offer a well though out and reasoned response, but it appears as if you are not ready for that.
When you can move past the stereotypes, name calling, and lies about those who simply disagree with you on certain issues you will be ready for rational discourse.
But hey, keep up those platitudes, whatever makes you feel good!
[sarcasm]
I believe in Hope for change which will bring hope and change because without hope there will be no change and without that change how can we hope for a better future….

Max seems unable to understand the very simple concept of “tipping points” — natural, positive, global warming feedbacks that humans have zero control over.
Max: “But since I have 3 youngsters, I’m truly concerned about the crippled America they will live in very soon.”
America will soon be “crippled”, if it follows Max’s very dumb strategy.

LIE ====> “NOTHING has ever been accomplished under conservative government in the United States -nothing.”
LIE ====> “The Cons have nothing except hatred for American values.”
“LIE =====> “homophobic””
Then why do you want deny gays the right to marriage?
“LIE =====> “racist””
Then why the ridiculous comments about “seize the time” a marching order for the civil rights movement of the Sixties?
“LIE ======> “Your side has nothing but hatred””
What DOES your side have to offer except more of the same Bush policies that have yet to work?
“LIE ======> “As usual, unless everyone follows your path of hatred for your fellow man, then they must be wrong, in your narrow, infantile view of the world.””
Your hatred of liberals and progressives is well known, Price, as is your disdain for anyone that is not Christian or does not follow YOUR version of Christianity.
So what was your point, Price, more of the same half-baked shit that you usually come up with?
Nitwit.
“LIE ====> “NOTHING has ever been accomplished under conservative government in the United States -nothing.””
Show me what they have accomplished.
“LIE ====> “The Cons have nothing except hatred for American values.””
More than half of the American population describes themselves as being liberal or progressive – so our values are American values – so why are you so against them?
Nitwit.
LIE ======> “Your hatred of liberals and progressives is well known, Price, as is your disdain for anyone that is not Christian or does not follow YOUR version of Christianity.”
WS Clark,
The political and literal definition of “liberal” are two different things.
“More than half of the American population describes themselves as being liberal or progressive – so our values are American values – so why are you so against them?”
“LIE ======> “Your hatred of liberals and progressives is well known, Price, as is your disdain for anyone that is not Christian or does not follow YOUR version of Christianity.””
So, you reposted my comments – what is your point?
My post is accurate – don’t PRETEND that you are accepting of anyone or anything – you hate anyone that sees life different than you.
“The political and literal definition of “liberal” are two different things.”
Come November, the LIBERALS are going to kick your conservative asses all over the map. Your time has long since past, Price.
Deal with it, nitwit.
What does your side have except hatred, Price? What do you have?
Nothing, absolutely nothing.
Just a fat old man with a crappy comb over.
Nothing else.
LIE =====> “you hate anyone that sees life different than you.”
So, Price, explain your insult addressed to the civil rights movement with your dismissal of the phrase “seize the time.”
Come on.
I want to hear your EXPLANATION for insulting a whole movement that changed America forever.
Come on.
“Seize the Time” was a banner for the civil rights movement.
And you dismiss it like it means nothing in American history.
Nitwit.
WS Clark,
You love to label me with that word hate every chance you get.
Yet out of the two of us you are the only one who professes hatred towards me and other conservatives.
I am not the one saying I wish you would die soon or things to that effect.
I am not the one saying I wouldn’t let my dog eat a bone from your hand.
I am not the one who would refuse to go to a public meetup simply because you would be there.
Many of your posts are filled with nothing but hate.
Not mine.
LIE ======> “explain your insult addressed to the civil rights movement with your dismissal of the phrase “seize the time.”
LIE ======> “And you dismiss it like it means nothing in American history.”
“LIE =====> “you hate anyone that sees life different than you.””
So explain your opposition to gay marriage, given the medical evidence that gays are born as such.
If you believe that gays are such by choice, provide some evidence from a CREDIBLE medical journal that states that gays CHOOSE to be homosexual.
Or admit that your opposition is based on hatred of those that are different from you….
Nitwit.
“LIE ======> “explain your insult addressed to the civil rights movement with your dismissal of the phrase “seize the time.””
Where is your explanation, Price?
“LIE ======> “And you dismiss it like it means nothing in American history.””
The civil rights is the finest moment in American domestic history – so explain your opposition to the civil rights movement, Price.
“You love to label me with that word hate every chance you get.”
Answer the questions, Price or STFU.
Nitwit.
WS Clark,
I must have missed the credible medical journal which clearly indicated that they had discovered that being gay was genetic.
My political stance on homosexual marriage has nothing to do with hating anyone.
I have said many times that I believe there is not any reason to treat a homosexual badly or hate them simply because they are gay.
You are the only one who spews hatred between the two of us.
I come here to debate and discuss politics.
You on the other hand, take everything personally and spew hatred to those who simply disagree with you.
Disagreement doesn’t equal hated, except for you, out of the two of us.
“Answer the questions, Price or STFU.”
Your favorite little saying: “STFU”
And you call me the hate filled one?
I am not the one constantly using vulgar language in a discussion with you WS Clark, like you do with me.
You could try to have a more civil discourse. It really might not hurt.
“Where is your explanation, Price?”
I am still trying to figure out where I ever made any such insult that you keep saying I did.
Why don’t you start by explaining where I did?
“Yet out of the two of us you are the only one who professes hatred towards me and other conservatives.”
Well, of course, nitwit, I would not expect that you would HATE conservatives – being an idiot conservative yourself.
I do believe that you do express a great deal of self-hatred, Price, no one could possibly hate everyone else so vehemently unless they also were self hating.
Nitwit.
“I am not the one constantly using vulgar language in a discussion with you WS Clark, like you do with me.”
I used a common acronym, Price. Do I need to spell it out for you?
As for vulgar language – I stated without equivocation last night that I am from Detroit and that is how we talk.
So shut the fork up, Price.
Civil rights – Price – you know the stuff that you and the Cons are all against?
Nitwit……………….
WS Clark,
Is that how you talk to your Grandchildren?
Being from detroit has nothing to do with being able to be civil on a public forum.
LIE ======> “Civil rights – Price – you know the stuff that you and the Cons are all against?”
“My political stance on homosexual marriage has nothing to do with hating anyone.”
Then what is it about, Price? Why would you want to deny a marriage to two people unless you just flat out hated them?
Really?
Why?
Gays are just four percent of the population. If heterosexual percentages are used, then only about 40% of them would want to marry their partners.
Why is that such a damned big deal that you idiots NEED a Constitutional Amendment to deny such a small portion of the population the right to marriage?
The only answer is either self-hate or hatred of gays.
Which is it for you, Price?
“Is that how you talk to your Grandchildren?”
Of course not, idiot, I only talk to moronic conservatives like that – my grandchildren are certainly not moronic conservatives – actually, they believe that ALL people are created equally.
Unlike most conservatives.
WS Clark,
Do you know what a false dilemma is?
Here is an example:
“The only answer is either self-hate or hatred of gays.
Which is it for you, Price?”
WS Clark,
So you can be civil then, when you want to be.
So why do you blame being vulgar on a public blog on being from detroit?
If you are going to be vulgar, at least be man enough to say you just don’t care. Don’t try to blame it on being from Detroit.
“LIE ======> “Civil rights – Price – you know the stuff that you and the Cons are all against?””
Yeah, that is FUNNY, Price, like CONservatives are REALLY for civil rights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, that is the funniest crap that I have heard all night.
CONservatives FOR civil rights?
Yeah, and fish are FOR fish hooks.
Nitwit.
The only thing more hypocritical that a “conservative” for civil rights is a hooker for chastity.
“If you are going to be vulgar, at least be man enough to say you just don’t care”
I was more of a man on the day I was born than you are today, Price, so feel free to dream about kissing my ass.
Chump.
WS Clark,
If you were the man you claim to be, you wouldn’t be afraid of meeting me in public.
“Which is it for you, Price?””
Well, which IS it for you, Price?
WS Clark,
You must have missed the false dilemma part of my post.
It means that you presented me with a limited choice between two options when others exist.
“If you were the man you claim to be, you wouldn’t be afraid of meeting me in public.”
What are you wanting to do, Price? Beat me up? Shoot me with your CC popgun?
What is it tough guy?
I am twenty five years older than you, Price. If you’re looking for a fair fight, then let me find a suitable proxy or at least buy a reasonable weapon with which to protect myself.
WS Clark,
Would you talk to me like you do in front of your Grandchildren?
Would you just tell them it is ok to be vulgar to people because you are from Detroit?
WS Clark,
Why is it that everytime a public meet is mentioned the first thing you think of is violence?
How about simply having lunch?
“It means that you presented me with a limited choice between two options when others exist.”
Obviously, nitwit, it was DELIBERATE, to point out the hypocrisy of posts of yours about men marrying animals, etc.
Dumbass.
“Would you talk to me like you do in front of your Grandchildren?”
I would not allow my grandchildren to come within 1,000 yards of you, Price.
Ever.
WS Clark,
So why would you expect and demand me to answer a question you knew was a false dilemma and then feign frustration when I don’t?
“Why is it that everytime a public meet is mentioned the first thing you think of is violence?”
Damn, I don’t know – maybe because I DO NOT trust you?
Is that a good enough reason?
Maybe this…………….
I do not FORKIN’ trust you Price.
And I never will.
“So why would you expect and demand me to answer a question you knew was a false dilemma and then feign frustration when I don’t?”
“So that the liberals will wet their pants…….”
Sound familiar, Price?
Two can play that game.
WS Clark,
Why wouldn’t you let your grandkids within 1000 yards of me? Ever?
I would be willing to risk my life to save you and your Grandkids from danger.
I would be willing to do anything reasonable to help you or your family.
“Why wouldn’t you let your grandkids within 1000 yards of me? Ever?”
Because I don’t trust you? Is that a good enough answer?
I don’t trust you, Price. You can provide all the affidavits that you can gather – that is meaningless to me – the safety and well being of my grandchildren comes first and I do not take chances.
Maybe you ARE a good guy, Price, I doubt it, but maybe you are.
To me, it is not worth taking a chance.
I can take a chance on my life, but I will not take a chance on my children’s or grand children’s lives.
My life means nothing if I lose my grand children and I will not take chances with them.
And on that not so happy note, I am out of here.
You may be a good guy, you PROBABLY are a good guy, Price, but I am not willing to take THAT particular chance. There is more than sufficient evidence that you wish me and mine less than the best.
So be it.
WS Clark,
Meeting me at a public place, with other people, has nothing to do with the safety of your family or not trusting me.
Yet you choose to say that you would never want to meet me, not for your safety, but to rub it in my face about how much you don’t like me.
That is the point I am trying to make.
There is no reason to take what is said on this blog so personally. Unless you say some nasty crap like MonkeyHawk did…

EXACTLY Regular! And the majority of society finds, and will continue to find, the thought of homosexual union and practice to be deviant and in fact repulsive, and as members of society the majority STILL, even now, has a say in what is law.
That’s the way it is and that’s the way it will be. Rail-against-the-wind all you like, it’s a fools activity because you won’t stop it. End of argument for me and the majority.
I’m eminded of the old yarn: If everyone in the world is crazy and you’re the only sane one left, who’d wind up in the sanitarium?
500 years ago every KNEW
500 years ago every KNEW the world was flat (some still do) (ok, few people did, but Washington Irving tells a really good story), 300 years ago disease was KNOWN to be an imbalance of ‘humors’, 500 years ago it was KNOWN the earth was the center of the universe (the universe has no center and you are there).
Saying the majority feels a certain way doesn’t make it right.
“EXACTLY Regular! And the majority of society finds, and will continue to find, the thought of homosexual union and practice to be deviant and in fact repulsive, and as members of society the majority STILL, even now, has a say in what is law.

This should save any rational person the time of reading the entire thread. (What a waste)

“Argument by fiat.”
If God has condemned the practice, then by “fiat” it is.
Definition; “a command or act of will that creates something without or as if without further effort 2 : an authoritative determination, or authoritative order” If by God that certainly good enough for me.
“Also revealing of the poster’s nasty prejudices.”
Prejudice (?), against a behavior universally looked down upon by all religions and societies and seems to have a very negative impact on society and human relationships….oh and health (HIV).

Pssstttt…Remember ancient greece? They did quite fine with homosexuality as an acceptable part of their culture. And, I really hate to break it to you, but even heteros get AIDS.
“If God has condemned the practice, then by “fiat” it is.
“Definition; ‘a command or act of will that creates something without or as if without further effort 2 : an authoritative determination, or authoritative order’ If by God that certainly good enough for me.”
And there it is, the naked pronouncement that one’s religious precepts/beliefs should be written into law. The First Amendment prohibits the federal lawmaking body from doing so, the Fourteenth extends the application to state and local law making bodies (which should compell a constitutionally honest government to disallow any law that can be demonstrated to be solely based on such religious based precepts). Furthermore, the Bill of Rights are individual rights, not just collective and at the whim of the majority.
More to the point, I don’t think there is any more objective evidence for your “god” than for any other anthropomorphic god, so your authoritative source is wasted on me. You are free to hold your beliefs about what a “God” you believe in has authoritatively decided, and this country allowing legal marriage between same sex partners does not take away from you or your denomination’s freedom to believe that it is denied by “God”. But our government is expressedly not based on that fiat. In my denomination, we have ministers who as a matter of principle have been refusing to perform ANY marriages until same sex people are able to legally do so. It should also be noted that there are people who believe in god(s) who see mark of more human sources in rationales against same sex marriage.
“Prejudice (?), against a behavior universally looked down upon by all religions and societies and seems to have a very negative impact on society and human relationships….oh and health (HIV).”
Not all religions. Furthermore, societies have looked down at all sorts of behavior widely accepted now. Used to be, parents were expected to leave children with obvious disabilities out in the elements to die of exposure, or in later times to hide them away. Merely because a prejudice is widely held does not make it more reasonable. Same sex couples have been married (for all the noise about lack of legal recognition) for centuries. They have done the for better or for worse thing as long as both shall live as honorably as have different sex couples. Yes, I stand by the charge of prejudice.
By the way, wiseguy, lesbians are LESS likely to get sexually transmitted diseases, so the health reasoning doesn’t hold up.
lesbians are LESS likely to get sexually transmitted diseases,
Now, that just ain’t fair! They should have the same liabilities the rest of us have.
*ducks*
8^b~~~
Fortunately we still have the majority ksagnostic, so certainly for now, and the foreseeable future, ….you lose.
“so the health reasoning doesn’t hold up.”
HIV, certainly in this country and most is overwhelmingly a disease of the homosexual community.
There are many reason to condemn homosexuality even from a strictly secular society, but certainly I have a right to a firm belief in my faith and what it teaches, and to not try and promote those values in my society is false faith and disingenuous. You can argue against that all you want by as said it’s ‘railing against the wind’, completely futile.
I can’t help wondering about the preponderance of AIDS cases in Africa. My supposition is, being such a backward and unenlightened continent, homosexuality would definitely NOT be in the forefront.
Another thing I’ve always wondered about is the incredible number of HIV infected in Africa LIVING with it, for incredibly long lives being infected, without the assistance of the b’jillion dollar a day pharmacueticals they foist on US AIDS patients.

Actually, it reveal nothing of me.
I was arguing the opposite position and apparently better than the supporters.
It remains a fact that deviant behavior is not rewarded. Cruel, tasteless, oppressive or whatever you want to call it, it still remains the reality.
My personal opinion, I believe there should be Civil Unions of same sex couples.
However, if I cannot argue against my own assignments, then I am the only one playing the fool.
I choose not to run the fool’s errand and examine reality as it exists, not how I wish it to be.

Now that sounds sooooooo gay —-
“Fortunately we still have the majority ksagnostic, so certainly for now, and the foreseeable future, ….you lose.”
Translation: Neener neener neener. That’s a good reason for doing something. I guess you are entirely conceding the logical argument arena, huh? I’m not giving up, others are not giving up, we are making progress, and unlike some people who argue the very “side” I am on on this issue, I see the “foreseeable future” as not being quite so long as others. Maybe I am naive. So be it. I’m also right. My position is the position that does not advocate inflicting extreme emotional pain on people who have done nothing to earn it other than who they are and who they love irrationally defends people who right now constitute the majority.
“HIV, certainly in this country and most is overwhelmingly a disease of the homosexual community.”
That’s actually incorrect, particularly in the region of the world where HIV came from. And it probably originally arose from the butchering of humanities closest biological relatives, the chimpanzee, which has nothing to do with sex at all. Way to avoid the fact that I brought up, by the way. Here is something else. We are talking about same sex marriage here. You know, Monogomous relationships?
By the way, time wise sex is a small part of marriage (even between partners who have it daily). Marriage is a lifelong committment between two people who love each other. It is primarily romantically and companionship based, with sexual attraction mixed in but not primary. I feel extremely sorry for those who see this as disgusting simply because of who the people are.
Hey Regular. If by deviant, you mean seen as “outside the norm”, as you are well aware, by that definition other types of marriages, such as interracial marriages, were seen as “deviant”.
I consider the term “deviant” extremely loaded. I understandably responded to that. I’ll take you at your word as to your intentional meaning.
And oh yes.

FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO
HOUSTON
Can the love between two people ever be an abomination? Is the chasm separating gays and lesbians and Christianity too wide to cross? Is the Bible an excuse to hate?
Winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Seattle International Film Festival, Dan Karslake’s provocative, entertaining documentary concisely reconciles homosexuality and a literal interpretation of Biblical scripture, and in the process reveals that Church-sanctioned anti-gay bias is based almost solely upon a significant (and often malicious) misinterpretation of the Bible.
As the film notes, most Christians live their lives today without feeling obliged to kill anyone who works on the Sabbath or eats shrimp (as a literal reading of scripture dictates).
Through the experiences of five very normal, very Christian, very American families – including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson – we discover how people of faith handle, or sometimes tragically fail to handle, having an LGBT child.
Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard’s Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg and Reverend Jimmy Creech, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.
