Dodd comes out for Obama

obamaSen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., threw his support behind Barack Obama Tuesday — the first of the Democratic also-rans to endorse — saying, “It’s now the hour to come together.”

Dodd is an influential party elder with longtime ties to Hillary Clinton, so his call for unity will carry some weight, especially with superdelegates.

Not really a big deal in and of itself. However, if a few others join in it could seal the deal for Obama. My prediction: Next Tuesday will pretty much settle it with Hillary not scoring the kind of victories in TX and OH she needs to overtake Obama ot even close the gap. Obama in a TKO.

    Who is Christopher Dodd?

Come together? Uh no, not me. I don’t like who Barack wants me to sit down with. And Barack supporters seem to have my chair at the table reserved for a Republican.

Can we seriously get a better photo of Obama to use on the thread editors? Please?

Dodd knows them both. Hillary’s head is going to pop. Another Senator will be found in Ft. Marcy park. That place is starting to get piled up.

I agree with you Ben. Since February 5th, her campaign has not been run very well. For some reason, even after seeing how badly it turned out for him, she pulled a Guiliani. I really, really wish that he would ask her to be VP though. Not because it would be a sure-fire win in November, although it would be, but because I really think they could get so much done if they were working together. Hillary could be the Enforcer!! Love it!!

“I really, really wish that he would ask her to be VP though.”

Does anybody really think she would accept VP?
    Silliest thing I’ve heard today.

I wonder how many people think they are in the running for VP or a cabinet position?

Like the Highlander says, “in the end, there can be only one”.

Professional politicians are so disappointing to watch. Just wait until the winner is all but certain then support that camp.

The big endorsement of the last 48 hours wasn’t Dodd, though I respect the Senator enormously: it was Rep. John Lewis.

Oh, and the Senator has no Vice-Presidential aspirations. He’ll make an excellent Majority Leader once Reid is forced out.

Not only are the endorsements against Clinton increasing, but all three (including the No. Dakota senator) happen to be superdelegates too. It won’t matter much if she eeks out wins in Texas and Ohio if the superdelegates continue to commit or flip for Obama.
