Former Bush adviser Karl Rove thinks Barack Obama’s 45-minute Houston speech last week set him up for failure, because he “dropped the pretense of being a candidate of inspiring but undescribed ‘postpartisan’ change†and turned proudly left-wing. “As voters see what his agenda is, his opponents can now far more effectively question his authenticity, credibility, record and fitness to be leader of the free world,†Rove wrote in the Wall Street Journal. Then again, Rove may be calculating that Hillary Clinton would be the easier Democratic nominee to beat.

Karl Rove isn’t commenting on the campaign, he is launching a talking point that will be run into the ground in the next election. Haley Barbour has already started on this.
“Obama is far too left for the American people.”
The correct response, of course, should be to point out where 8 years of right pulling government has gotten us.
Karl Rove’s strategy has been the equivalent of poking Democrats over and over and then feigning outrage when they get angry.
Karl Rove is a very effective political strategist. It will be interesting to see whee the ‘anti-Hillary’ vote goes.
Obama hasn’t been examined concerning his extreme liberal voting record. He is to the left of Kerry who was to the left of Al Gore. Don’t you people ever learn?
Yes we should all look to Karl Rowe for our judgment, he is and always has been the bacon of truth and honesty. If he said the sun is not up at ten O’clock in the morning there is no need to look out a window to see if it is! Why Joseph Goebbel could have taken lessons from Rowe in showing insight in the reality of Government. He is the moral guidance of the United States, just if you ever shake hands with him. Make sure that you still have your wedding ring and watches on afterwards.
“Obama hasn’t been examined concerning his extreme liberal voting record. He is to the left of Kerry who was to the left of Al Gore. Don’t you people ever learn?”
At some point, Hank, that meme is going to lose its effectiveness.
Of course, you were the one who supported Huckabee. How well do you think his candidacy would have flown?
Conservative, particularly Christian conservative and hard core economic conservatism, thanks to the previous administration, the Republican congress until 2006, and in verious state governments, has become as big a liability with swing as liberal was in the 1980’s. Unless Obama is totally inept as a campaigner (he can’t just ignore the “liberal” charge, he just can’t overreact either), and I don’t think he is, the “Barack is a liberal” isn’t going to fly well in an election where voter dissatisfaction is widespread and the previous administration has proudly identified itself as Republican and conservative.
Karl Rove is a thug who got beat up by girls when he was a kid.
Hey Karl? Mission accomplished assh*(e. You managed to help force 8 years of the worst administration in history on us. Kindly slither back under your rock.
Obama will HAVE to be a lot more liberal than I see so far. But we don’t need the enemy helping us choose our nominee.
Note to Obama: If Karl Rove says “you made a mistake” – keep doing it!
Webster-Merriman dictionary:
enemy: somebody who hates or seeks to harm somebody or something
JR is accusing anyone who disagrees with him as ‘the enemy’. About what could be expected from someone who claims hatred for people of differing political views.
Both candidates have veered to the edge in their quests for the nominations. It will be interesting to see which one can stake a claim to the middle.
I thought Karl Rove lost all his credibility. Isn’t it too early for him to be critisizing other people, shouldn’t he wait a few years for that cloud of debri over his head to settle?
Uh yeah James?
Run and do a google on how Karl Rove regards the Deomcratic party and liberals.
It was his intention to marginalize them out of the political process for good. Now he has managed probably just the opposite. He and his are out for good. But I gotta go with his intentions.
So yeah I’ll call him an enemy. And yeah I’ll include you, your assorted nics, and most of the cons on this blog in that group. Save for maybe some of the libertarians.
Karl Rove is a thug who got beat up by girls when he was a kid.
Dosen’t that make him a pansy, not a thug?
Nawww he grew up to be a thug!! LOL
It couldn’t get any better for Obama. Even the Nation of Islam Minister, Louis Farrakhan, thinks Obama’s presidency is the “Hope of the Entire World”.
http://youdecide08.foxnews.com/2008/02/25/farrakhan-praises-obama-as-hope-of-entire-world/
I am sure that we can all agree that Islam has been a world leader in solving the worlds problems. With that said, let’s all follow Farrakhan’s tacit endorsement on November for a better tomorrow.
Barrack has always been too far left as per his voting record and speeches. Hillary is not too far behind. Elect either one of these and you will find we don’t have enough money to pay for their overboard social programs. The Islamic crazies want either one of these wimps elected so they can kill more of us.
“‘Karl Rove is a thug who got beat up by girls when he was a kid.’”
“Dosen’t that make him a pansy, not a thug?”
The story I read was that the girl beat him up for having a Goldwater Button during that long-ago election. Rove’s stepfather, after divorcing Rove’s mother came out of the closet as being gay; allegedly, Rove said that he was very close to this man.
It is tempting to speculate that Rove’s ideology is in reaction to events in his life. Who knows? besides the shadow, as to what lurks in the hearts of men…
“we don’t have enough money to pay for their overboard social programs”
But we do have enough money for you elective unending wars.
“It couldn’t get any better for Obama. Even the Nation of Islam Minister, Louis Farrakhan, thinks Obama’s presidency is the ‘Hope of the Entire World’.

“I am sure that we can all agree that Islam has been a world leader in solving the worlds problems. With that said, let’s all follow Farrakhan’s tacit endorsement on November for a better tomorrow.”
Nice appeal to a variety of uninformed prejudices there pal. Not to mention the old standard in bad arguments, guilt by association. Barack Obama is not responsible for Farrakhan’s opinion of him, and because a widely disliked person like Farrakhan likes Obama doesn’t automatically make Obama a worse person (David Duke will probably vote for McCain in the general election, but that shouldn’t have any relevance on how McCain is seen).
JR…your hatred has completely blinded you to facts. I am not James or any other nic you want to falsely assign to me.
Like I showed the other day, your “logic” can be used to “prove” anything, anywhere. Your “logic” is flawed, your lack of reasoning is apparent, and your inability to back up your claim is obvious. But, you persist in your little fantasy lie.
Enjoy your hatred.
Seems to me both parties are really good at getting rid of all the money they take from us. Government generates no income, they take ours and give it away plus some they borrow with our future as collateral.
It hasn’t bothered bushco that we can’t afford his corporate welfare, no-bid contracts, assault on the middle class and poor to ensure the haves and have mores get even more.
Remember the last time a Democrat was at the desk in the Oval Office our country was at peace and we enjoyed a surplus. The very last time a balanced budget was even proposed was under Democratic leadership.
I’m for more of the Democratic kind of “can’t afford!” Seems much more fiscally responsible than the Republican way, especially now that what the Republican Party used to stand for doesn’t exist.
“Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the “hope of the entire world” Fox
Now theres an endorsement sure to attract white voters to Obama.
Why couldn’t he have waited until AFTER Obama beats Hillary?
That is priceless. JR uses the drivel put out by his arch enemy, Carl Rove, to justify his own hatred?
Two different ways to look at this. One, typical immature mentality of “he started it”.
Two, by using Rove’s own hate model as justification, JR is acting just like Rove–the person he claims to absolutely hate.

The editors of the weblog cannot go a day without a negative thread on the liberal candidate.
It may not be an editorial opinion, nor an attempt to put down the candidate.
It is probably nothing more than providing a spot for right-wingers to vent and keep up the post numbers.
Linda,
One of the reason Clinton had four years of non-deficit spending (the only 4 years of such in the last 35) was in part due to George H.W. Bush’s breaking his “read my lips” promise of “no new taxes” – that combined with Clinton spending restraints. GHW’s doing the right thing helped get him booted out of office.
George W. Bush, according to pundits, wanted to avoid the mistakes made by his father. Fiscal responsibility was apparently one of those “mistakes” he has most successfully avoided.
“It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.”
Sun Tzu “The Art of War”
And unless you can prove otherwise “Taz” you ARE James in another nic.
That is what you…er…he wanted.
Have a nice day.
The man has Zibigniew Brzezinski as his senior foreign advisor. He WILL give us more of the same (oh yeah, he’ll change it, he’ll change the name of it). Just like Clinton, just like McCain and Huckabee. WAKE UP!
Shit.
The only candidate who can manage his money and (if ever given a chance could manage ours) is Ron Paul. You forget him, you forget yours and my posterity. But we the fast food, my way right away nation could care less, right?
Karl Rove is a very effective political strategist.
Which is precicely why Bush I dumped him for leaking information to…(wait for it) Robert Novak. And Bush II dumped him for [fill in the blank].
Karl is reaching and hoping someone, anyone will still listen to him.
Come on, Karl. If “too liberal” is all ya got, ya ain’t got nothin’. It’s been overdone. And so are you.
“It is probably nothing more than providing a spot for right-wingers to vent and keep up the post numbers.”
LOL Ben!
28 posts so far and it’s abut 5 to 1 liberal vs. conservative! At least half of the posts are ‘rants’ by the liberals!
The democrat party is devided now between the far left candidate and the rediculously far left candidate! How is either one of them going to get back to the ‘middle’?
McCain owns that ground!
Hank Price,
And don’t you people ever stop lying about the voting records of those who run against you?
Hank Price,
As for McCain “owning” the middle, well, if you liked George, you’ll LOVE John! Permanent tax cuts for rich folks, war without end in the Middle East, more right-wing whackjobs on the Supreme Court…
McCain seems to be angling for some of that Bush Crime Family love by being more Bush than Bush ever was. “Owns the middle” only in Hank’s delusional fantasies.
Hey CF2K!
I really do love George Bush! Of course his social policy is a little lliberal for me, but in the three things that have really mattered in the last eight years, beating Algore, beating Lurch and fighting the war on terror George rocks!
McCain? Not my choice. At least he is not a ’surrender monkey’!
I don’t know, is this too far left?
http://youdecide08.foxnews.com/2008/02/25/photo-showing-obama-in-somali-garb-circulated-by-clinton-campaign-source/
Barack Obama’s campaign is expressing outrage at a new photo attributed to Clinton campaign sources that depicts the Democratic presidential candidate dressed in Somali garb.
The picture, which appeared at the top of Monday’s Drudge Report, says Clinton staffers circulated the 2006 photo over the weekend. It shows the Illinois senator fitted as a Somali elder, during his visit to northeastern Kenya that was part of a five-country tour of Africa.
Ben,
You are correct. I skimmed over the threads.
Looking for a Hillary negative one. )
What was that comment Obama made last year?
Something about establishing His Kingdom on Earth.
“Obama hasn’t been examined concerning his extreme liberal voting record. He is to the left of Kerry who was to the left of Al Gore. Don’t you people ever learn?”
Please back that up with links to specific acts or votes — if you can’t you should reconsider withdrawing the statement —-

… and we are so glad you are in Kansas where you can remain irrelevant
Obama, and his Kingdom on Earth:
“I think that’s a healthy thing, that we’re not putting people in boxes, that everybody is out there trying to figure out how do we live right and how do we create a stronger America,” Obama said.
He finished his brief remarks by saying, “We’re going to keep on praising together. I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.”

What If a Republican Called, Like Obama, for God’s ‘Kingdom on Earth’?By Mark Finkelstein | October 8, 2007 – 08:20 ET
“This is Anne Jones, reporting live from the headquarters of the ACLU, where the organization has issued a ‘DEFCON 1 Threat-to-the-Constitution Alert’ in the wake of a Republican presidential candidate’s call for the creation of God’s ‘kingdom on earth.’ We’re speaking with ACLU representative Amanda Rogers. Ms. Rogers, now that a Republican candidate has brought the wall that separates church and state crashing to the ground, can our constitutional system be saved?”
“Anne, I’m afraid the answer is a resounding ‘no,’ at least, not if someone who thinks like this, and who sadly reflects the thinking of his entire party, is elected president. Fortunately, there are candidates from another party who respect the constitutionally decreed separaration of church and state.”
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2007/10/08/what-if-republican-obama-called-gods-kingdom-earth
LOL Max!
And this is the crap that can beat Hillary! Hillary is starting to come unwound! Barrack is so nutty that it’s surreal and Hillary is hated so much the democrats don’t care!
Amazing!
And let’s not forget that Obama said he would be an Instrument of God:
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/10/07/400809.aspxObama also turned his message of bringing red and blue states together into a spiritual call.
“As I travel around the country I feel hopeful and optimistic. There’s God’s spirit in each and everyone of us that’s waiting to be released and to be let out,” Obama said. “He wants us to join together and break the partisan divisions.”
Obama concluded by asking the congregration to pray for him and his family, making a plea that the prayers of the assembled would keep him on a righteous path.
“Sometimes you can become fearful, you can become vain, sometimes you can seek power for power’s sake,” Obama confessed and asked the crowd to “pray that I can be an instrument of God” as he ran for president.
Battle Hymn of the Obama for you Max. :D
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of Obama:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of media are drama;
He hath loosed the plagiarist lightning of His terrible swift tongue:
His truth is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Obama’s truth is marching on.

What If a Republican Called, Like Obama, for God’s ‘Kingdom on Earth’?By Mark Finkelstein | October 8, 2007 – 08:20 ET
Didn’t Huckabee do that in some way when he said (paraphrasing) we should chnage the constitution to better reflect the Bible?
Funny to watch the Wingnuts quaking. Guess I would be too, if my own impendnig political doom were so evident. Barack is going to DESTROY Mc Cain in the general election. It’s going to be ugly.
Speaking of ugly, how about the lack of Secret Service protection for Senator Obama? The event in Dallas was notably porous, and the local police were quite nervous about the lack of bag checkpoints.
http://www.star-telegram.com/667/story/486413.html
Why does the Department of Homeland Security, which now oversees the Secret Service, appear to want to make it easier for someone to take a shot at Senator Obama?
Obama voted against the confirmation of John Roberts for the Supreme Court, saying he “far more often used his formidable skills on behalf of the strong in opposition to the weak.”
He also cast a vote against Samuel Alito and even voted in favor of a filibuster to stall his confirmation.
Obama opposed a bill in 2006 that would have denied citizenship or other legal status to illegal immigrants, and voted last year against a measure that would have allowed police to question people about their immigration status under certain circumstance.
He voted in favor of the immigration reform bill sponsored by John McCain and Ted Kennedy that would have allowed many illegal aliens to become legal residents.
Last October Obama voted for an act that would have allowed illegal immigrants who become permanent legal residents to qualify for lower in-state tuition rates at state universities. That measure was opposed by Democrats in a number of swing states that could be pivotal in this year’s election, MSNBC observed.
The Illinois Senator voted against a 2006 bill to prohibit the transportation of a minor girl across state lines to get an abortion if this would circumvent parental consent.
Obama voted against a bill extending the cuts in capital gains and dividends tax rates that Congress enacted in 2003, and against the repeal of the tax on inherited wealth, the estate tax.
In June 2006, Obama voted against a bill that would have required President Bush to withdraw most U.S. troops from Iraq by July 1, 2007. But this past September, he joined 27 other Democrats in voting for a bill ordering Bush to begin withdrawing most American forces within 90 days. The bill failed to pass.
I could not make that crap up! There are links for those comments from Obama.
Does Barrack HusseinObama say “Praise Allah” or “Praise God”?
Well Dems, maybe it’s back to “Your Thighness” again as the front runner.
Pray that you get help from whoever you think God is, so that you can make the right decision when voting for President.
Max,
I wish you would leave Barrack alone until AFTER he beats Hillary. (just kidding).
But it might be interesting to have the Religious Leftwingers for a few years.
Max,
You can shove your racist, bullshit lies where they belong–up your ass.
I am grateful, thought, that I now have full justification for calling you a racist as well as a fascist.
Actually, I am somewhat ammused by the liberals on this Blog who keep predicting the “doom” of Republicans and the Republican Party.
America is a “center right” nation.
As a country, we do not seem to like it if the country goes too far, in either direction.
The problem Hillary has had, in the election, comes from Hillary’s own arrogance: She thought she had the primary WON, she never expected a fight.
So, Hillary campaigned in the “middle” just as she has tried to vote in the “middle” while in the Senate.
The “moveon.org” crowd, the left wing of the Democrat Party, has rebelled AGAINST Hillary.
This is why it is so funny to watch the lefties, on this Blog, who support Hillary.
On the issues, the Lefties are more in line with Obama. Obama did not sign the “Defense of Marriage Act”. Obama is against NAFTA. Obama did not vote to authorize the war.
However, the smart liberals know, in their hearts, that Obama probably can not win.
Hillary, though widely disliked, is a known quantity and would govern from the “center left” — Obama?
Obama has presented a very BLANK canvas to the American people.
Karl Rove does not need to get out his paint, just yet.
Hillary is doing just fine, painting Obama for what he is.
Unfortunately, the Democrat base does not care that Obama is a surrender candidate.
The Muslim conversions from within. Which side will Obama be on?
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,332225,00.html
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The trial of a former Navy sailor on terrorism charges promises to offer a glimpse into how prosecutors say an American serviceman communicated with suspected terrorists over the Internet while on duty and leaked information that could have doomed his own ship.
Prosecutors, defense attorneys and spectators began arriving at the U.S. District Courthouse about an hour before the trial was to begin about 9 a.m. Monday.
Prosecutors allege that Hassan Abu-Jihaad sent details of the location and vulnerabilities of a Navy battle group to suspected terrorism supporters in London.
“I think it’s a very important case,” said Michael Greenberger, director of the Center for Health and Homeland Security at the University of Maryland. “If we have members of our military who are aggressively passing on secrets to terrorists, that’s cause for concern. It’s a very aggressive act which would have brought real danger to the United States.”
Abu-Jihaad, 32, of Phoenix, has pleaded not guilty to charges he provided material support to terrorists with intent to kill U.S. citizens and disclosed classified information relating to the national defense. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
Abu-Jihaad, an American-born Muslim convert formerly known as Paul R. Hall, was a signalman before he received an honorable discharge from the Navy in 2002.
Econ101,
“Center-right?” Really? That’s why George Bush is currently at 19%?
Max,
Are you a fascist racist, or a racist fascist? Sometimes it’s hard to tell.
“Nice appeal to a variety of uninformed prejudices there pal…because a widely disliked person like Farrakhan likes Obama doesn’t automatically make Obama a worse person.”
-ksagnostic
Prejudices have a way of being earned. The questions are being asked widely, Is Obama a muslim sympathizer? Being labeled as the “Hope for the entire world” by the American face of radical racist Islam certaintly doesn’t support the effort to categorize such questions as uninformed.
Say Democrats, buy your new clothes here:
http://islam.about.com/od/dress/a/hijabstores.htm
Where to Buy Islamic Clothing Online
Al-Farah.com – Provides modern, modest and stylish fashions that preserve the Islamic identity – based in California.
Canadian Muslim – Clothing, jewelry and accessories for sale, and educational resources on how to wear the hijab.
Heavenly Attire – Specializing in scarves and abayas, based in Texas. No online ordering available yet, but will take orders by email.
Hijab Al-Muminat – Another U.S.-based online shop, spun off from a successful E-bay business. Offers a wide range of Islamic women’s clothing including hijabs (scarves and shaylas), Turkish jilbabs, and hijab accessories (including underscarves and arm sleeve covers/gauntlets).
FOR FAT AMERICAN MUSLIMS: (Like Lane Bryant for Muslims)
Muslima PLUS – Islamic women’s clothing from U.S. size 16 and up.
And, I admit that I have changed my mind.
Research on Obama tells me that he is actually the weaker candidate, on the issues.
Hillary does have hign negatives, and would give Republicans a better shot at taking back Congress, in my opinion.
However, Obama will force a debate on the issues, as Hillary would only “triangulate” and make an issue oriented campaign difficult for Republicans.
—–
It is also worth pointing out that roughly 7% of the voting population votes in the primaries. Even with the higher than average voter turnout, this year, this fact remains true: primaries pull from the radical elements of both parties.
However, McCain won by taking states that had, previously, been “cherry picked” by Rudy, and had “winner take all” primaries.
It is interesting that Obama’s strength is in states the Democrats will not win in November.
It is interesting that McCain’s strength is in states that the Republicans will not win, in November.

Who knows? besides the shadow, as to what lurks in the hearts of men…
————————————
It never ceases to amaze me that a lib can post something like this which is very demeaning to the gay community and it’s members and get away with it and a con would have been roasted for the same thing.
These avengers for ’same sex marriage’ really show their distain for the gay/lesbian community when it isn’t a ‘political’ cause.
Obama has plenty of time to show himself for the extreme leftist he is. This is the problem with long campaigns. All of the worts are visible by the time we vote.
Poor RepubliCons are driving in the ditch and think they’re straddling the center line!
McCain has promised the jobs aren’t coming back, the Mexicans aren’t going home, and another hundred years of war.
Good luck with that.
… and it’s amazing how narrow minded and bigoted you are Paullieee girl
Dear Moderate 1,
Are you serious!? Almost every left-wing organization that rates senators as to their voting record have Barrack to the left of every one. Most give him a perfect liberal record! YOu can’t get further to the left of Obama!
OK – A link please?
geesh, grm, I was using ‘pansy’ long before I knew there WAS such a thing as ‘gay’. I’m inclined to believe you’re the same. Do you attribute the term ’sissy’ (from St. Frank, since Assissi was such a weak city state they kept getting beat), ‘woosie’, ‘wimp’, or ‘Milquetoast’ synonomous with ‘gay’, too?
CF
George W. Bush did the following things to upset conservatives:
signed McCain Feingold
supported amnesty for illegals
pushed for expansion of Medicare
did not use his veto pen in his 6 years, to curb spending.
Please liberals, understand that while many of us admire Bush, as a person, we are not all that happy with everything he has done.
Yes, America is a Center-Right nation. If you think that this is NOT true, you need to question Hillary’s strategy.
Hillary had a great “triangulation” strategy for winning the general election.
However, you can not “triangulate” with the moveon.org crowd.
One other thing:
Should the Democrats take the White House this year, it might well be the best thing that could happen to the Republican Party.
The country would be reminded, once again, why they do not trust liberals in the White House.
It would be good for Republicans, but bad for the Country.
So, I will vote McCain.
ghotiphaze – you might try the root word ’sister’ for the origins of ’sissy.’
‘Weak Sister’ has been around a long time, as had the word ‘Sissy.’
Again, I do not agree entirely, but this Ruddy article is worth reading:

Here’s your link:

Do you know how to GOOGLE?
Another good read, on the “srangest election ever”:

ghotiphaze, my point as I am sure you are aware of is the ‘undercover’ message Steven D had in his post. It was a slam at the prowess of Rove by relating his connection to a gay man.
As I said before if the right on the blog made this comment it would be all out war. At least I am honest enough to admit that.
Rove isn’t called the ‘architech’ for nothing. He has been slammed by many for getting Bush elected. I am not a Rove fan but he was afterall just doing his job and he did it in a masterful manner.
Reg, I have to stand by your assessment. Another one of those Twain (or Artie Ward, or whoever else said it) moments of “what ya know that just ain’t so”.
That’ll teach me to believe a Franciscan priest in catechism class.
Rove was connected to a gay man? Honestly, sincerely, truly, I was unaware. I only give a rat’s about a person’s orientation when they preach one thing and practice something completely different.
People are people until proven otherwise. Some on this forum are slightly above reptiles.
Obama’s Impossible Dream
To dream the Obama dream
To fight the non-believers
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run when the going gets tough
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To cry with Vice President Hill-a-ree
To change the unchangeable world
This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To fight for hope
Without question or pause
To be willing to march like Muslims
For a heavenly cause
And I know if I’ll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
Whenever I get laid
And I Obama, will be better for this
That one man, like Christ or Mohammed scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To change the unchangeable world
“Prejudices have a way of being earned. The questions are being asked widely, Is Obama a muslim sympathizer? Being labeled as the “Hope for the entire world” by the American face of radical racist Islam certaintly doesn’t support the effort to categorize such questions as uninformed.”
Such reason is right out of Joseph McCarthy. I sympathize with Muslims, therefore I sympathize with the enemy? Nice reasoning there.
And Max really is continuing his nasty streak lately.
Barack Hussein Obama.
And this has nothing to do with financial conservatism or liberalism. It’s just pure and nasty incitement of racism and religious hatred. The trial of the former Navy sailor has nothing to do with Barack Obama except by the game of innuendo you are playing.
Hey Hank, if this is the sort of thing that people see the Right as doing, it isn’t going to do your cause any good. More to the point, “liberalism” does not look worse to the swing voters that “Barack is a Muslim sympathizer” or “Barack Hussein Obama” or “Obama dressed like a Somali Elder”.
Lots of luck with that crap.
Show tunes, “Max?” –
“SHOW TUNES!!??”
Next you’ll be shopping for FAB-rics!!!
Then “Nathan” will show up and admit what he misses the most about the Marines is showering with the guys.
Oh goody. Now we have the Stormfront contingent weighing in.
“the same way Sirhan and Ray handled them”
Just what we need – a NAZI advocating assasinations. Too bad your hero shot himself in his bunker Horst.
poverty, communism, and immorality???
Isn’t that what Bush et al. promoting?
“Horst Wessell” enlightens the discussion with –
“…the best way to handle evil liberal scumbags is the same way Sirhan and Ray handled them ,lest they drive this country into proverty, communism, and immorality.”
And you Cons were “outraged” by my weekend posts?!
“Horst Wessell” is advocating politics by assassination, here. And his targets are “evil liberal scumbags.”
Now, since I don’t recall previous posts to this forum from “Horst Wessell,” I’m open to the possibility that “Horst Wessell” is a sock-puppet; maybe even a liberal sock-puppet troll.
But after a weekend of being attacked for going “over the line,” it’d be reassuring to have some of the Cons (who probably agree with “Horst Wessell,” come to their sense of persepctive and tell us just exactly where “the line” is.
Would the editors please remove the 11:35 a.m. post? It’s bad enough that the “regulars” have to throw around racist and bigoted remarks, but this is beyond tolerable. This poster, no matter what political side, should be banned.
Agreed!!!, RD.
Who cares what Rove thinks? He’s a racist thug who works to undermine democracy. Anyone to the left of George Bush is viewed as a liberal in his beady eyes.
Agreed as well!!! RD
Dang, RD, now I’m going to be tagged a liberal because I agree ethnic slurs should be disallowed. I’ve always hated playing tag.
Monkey
You BOTH (or ALL) crossed the line.
I do think I have seen posts from “Horst” in the past— not sure if he is a “sock puppet” or not.
However, the racial stuff is not called for, it makes the entire Blog look bad, and it should stop.
Those who make the racial attacks are ignorant morons that do not know how to debate the issues any other way.
Y’know, on other forums I’ve been on, there is a link in-post for a ‘report this post’. It’d be handy to have one of those on here.
By the way:
The Obama campaign is now linking Hillary to Mrs. Arafat, I believe.
This is after Hillary’s campaign circulated pictures of Obama looking like Osama.
Look folks, if your two front-runners can do this to each other —
Does that not give Republicans a green light to do the same?
Look folks, if your two front-runners can do this to each other —
Does that not give Republicans a green light to do the same?
Sure, your one front runner can beat up on himself.
Doug
What evidence do you have that Rove is “racist”???
Don’t worry Agnostic,
You have CF, Monkey, Capn/Chas, and Clark on your side to balance things out.
You can’t count on Max tipping things in YOUR favor all by his self.
Horst Wessel–
Whoever the heck you are, just slink away like the reptilian joke that you are. Nobody cares to listen to such crap. ALl you do is to offend nearly everyone on this blog. GO AWAY!
ghot
LOL ok you got me on that one.
“Now, since I don’t recall previous posts to this forum from ‘Horst Wessell’, I’m open to the possibility that ‘Horst Wessell’ is a sock-puppet; maybe even a liberal sock-puppet troll.”
He’s been here before, and posted pretty much the same sort of comments. I don’t think he is anyone’s sock puppet, fortunately. Even most trolls have some minimal standards.
Agreed, that particular post needs to be removed.
“Such reason is right out of Joseph McCarthy. I sympathize with Muslims, therefore I sympathize with the enemy? Nice reasoning there.”
-ksagnostic
Making up your own conclusions based upon my statments and then blaming me again ksagnostic? You are the one coming up with the conclusion that Obama sympathizes with the enemy, I simply provided the facts leading to your OWN conclusion.
Seems like your own logic is defeating your attempts to defend your candidate.
By posting the FACT that Obama is labled the “Hope of the entire World” by a racist muslim, and then showing how this tacit endorsement is consistent with rumors that Obama is partial to the muslim faith, ksagnostic has resorted to the typical leftist arm flailing defense by labeling me a McCarthyite.
I post facts about ksagnostic’s candidate.
ksagnostic comes up with his own conclusions using those facts that I provided.
ksagnostic does not like the conclusions the he comes up with regarding his own candidate.
ksagnostic cannot refute the facts, therefore he makes up a label to call me.
Therefore, it is clear that ksagnostic own conclusions are indeed logical.
You’re correct, ksagnostic, “Horst Wessel” has been here before. His posts are consistent in content and thrust. He’s not exhibited his peculiar slant on things for a good while, and thus may have been forgotten by others, or for the new posters, never read.
Horst Wessell,
Implied threats to assassinate Barack Obama are legally actionable. Just sayin’. I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes right now–or ever.
Actually
I know that a threat against a sitting president is illegal.
I think that a threat against a Presidential Candidate is ALSO illegal.
I think Horst has committed a crime and I would love to see him prosecuted for it!
Free speech has LIMITS. The threat of violence is not protected.
Crap
CF and I agree on something.
“ksagnostic” offers –
“Agreed, that particular post needs to be removed.
Actually, we disagree.
I don’t the “Horst Wessell’s” post shoud be removed. I think it should be there, intellectual turd that it is, to rub the noses of all the Cons who frequent this forum with stuff akin to “evil liberal scumbags.”
“Horst Wessell’s” only sin is that he wrote what Cons such as “ksgrm,” “American Way,” “Max,” “Econ101,” “Hank Price,” “GMC70,” “Regular, et al” really think.
The Editors shouldn’t remove “Horst Wessell’s” post precisely because we need to know what passes for mainstream conservatism these days.
CapnAmerica had a conniption the last time Horst made one of his racist comments. It was on a weekend and stayed posted almost three days.
It is vile of course and should be immediately removed – which I can do at my Blog quite easily.
I only remember the nic, not any of what he wrote. And only remember because the name Horst is one I’ve not heard in about 40 years.
(Same reason I named one of my sons Cosmos)
MonkeyHock loves writing the “N” word. Wouldn’t surprise me if he made both vile posts this morning. He’s that kind of guy.
Horst sure served to change the subject of Monkeyhawk’s previous over the line remarks eh…?
Monkeyhawk what happened to; “I’m open to the possibility that “Horst Wessell” is a sock-puppet; maybe even a liberal sock-puppet troll”.
There you are trying to make political capital off of crap again. First off the suicide death of Tiahrt’s son, and now off a racist comment that all condemn.
You need to hit the reset button.
