Conservative, particularly Christian conservative and hard core economic conservatism, thanks to the previous administration, the Republican congress until 2006, and in verious state governments, has become as big a liability with swing as liberal was in the 1980’s. Unless Obama is totally inept as a campaigner (he can’t just ignore the “liberal” charge, he just can’t overreact either), and I don’t think he is, the “Barack is a liberal” isn’t going to fly well in an election where voter dissatisfaction is widespread and the previous administration has proudly identified itself as Republican and conservative.

Note to Obama: If Karl Rove says “you made a mistake” – keep doing it!

Both candidates have veered to the edge in their quests for the nominations. It will be interesting to see which one can stake a claim to the middle.

The “moveon.org” crowd, the left wing of the Democrat Party, has rebelled AGAINST Hillary.

On the issues, the Lefties are more in line with Obama. Obama did not sign the “Defense of Marriage Act”. Obama is against NAFTA. Obama did not vote to authorize the war.

However, the smart liberals know, in their hearts, that Obama probably can not win.

Hillary, though widely disliked, is a known quantity and would govern from the “center left” — Obama?

Obama has presented a very BLANK canvas to the American people.

Karl Rove does not need to get out his paint, just yet.

Hillary is doing just fine, painting Obama for what he is.

Unfortunately, the Democrat base does not care that Obama is a surrender candidate.

The story I read was that the girl beat him up for having a Goldwater Button during that long-ago election. Rove’s stepfather, after divorcing Rove’s mother came out of the closet as being gay; allegedly, Rove said that he was very close to this man.

It is tempting to speculate that Rove’s ideology is in reaction to events in his life. Who knows? besides the shadow, as to what lurks in the hearts of men…
