Who has the mojo after New Hampshire?

obamaclintonWho’s got the momentum on the Democratic side after New Hampshire? Despite Hillary Clinton’s key primary win, a closely watched endorsement by the powerful Culinary Workers Union in Nevada went to Obama, which might give him a significant advantage in that state’s upcoming primary.

In South Carolina, Obama got the endorsement of Sen. John Kerry — a coup in that Kerry has maintained an influential national network of state fundraisers and mailing lists that Obama can tap into.

Still, Clinton’s win in New Hampshire clearly revived her campaign — and Friday she unveiled an economic stimulus plan in a smart move that won the day’s news cycle and made her look ready to lead.

She’s the frontrunner. But Obama’s momentum still looks formidable.

What a matchup.

Hillary is still the undisputed front runner and always has been. National polls show her with double digit leads. But Obama has the momentum clearly. And as many have pointed out, Hillary did not really “win” New Hampshire. She got more votes by 2% but the delegate count is 9 for her and 9 for Barrack and the delegate count is all that matters in the end.

    The Clintons are snobs.

I told some high ranking Republicans, years ago, that it was a mistate to attack the Clintons as “hillbilly hicks” — that they were, instead, elitist snobs.

    Of course, nobody listened.

I say this to be fair, in my own way. I am not convinced that Bill and Hillary are “racist” in the true sense of the word.

Sure, they THINK they are better than the average Black person. So what? As elitist, condescending snobs, they THINK they are better than the average White person, as well.

However, their superior attitude is rubbing Black leaders the wrong way:

Let’s not count out John Edwards just yet. He may not get the nomination, but he has a message that’s long overdue:

U.S. corporate elite fear candidate Edwards

WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (Reuters) – Ask corporate lobbyists which presidential contender is most feared by their clients and the answer is almost always the same — Democrat John Edwards.

A baby bond for every American infant.

FINALLY health care for all Americans.

Damn I like that kind of “snob”. So much better than the “friendly” right generously blaming victims for their ills.

And the Service Employees Union endorsing Obama?

Is it possible that these hard working hotel and casino folks are upset at Hillary, for the way Hillary treated the White House waiters, maids and butlers? Is it possible that these workers have heard how Hillary treated the Arkansas State Troopers, the Secret Service, and the Marine Guards?

Yes, Hillary and Mitt are pretty much identical, on Health Insurance plans.

By the way, the idea that you can “buy off” the “little people” is a common trait of snobs.

The “baby bond” idea was proof that Hillary is a snob.

Those who liked the idea are proof that Hillary IS better than a few of us.

The baby bond idea might just MIGHT have given Americans some feeling they have a stake in this country. Cause deal is? A nation that does nothing for its people is a nation of people who don’t give a damn. Sorta like what we have?

John Kennedy caught all sorts of flack because he was a Catholic.

Personally, I’m glad we have grown past that sort of prejudice.

But when there is determined and deliberate silence? Well it sets one to speculation as to why.

Most people are proud of their take on faith. A FEW of them so much so that they want to put it on others.

But Romney does not want to share anything about his faith at all.

    Why?

I am 100% in agreement with that! The Clintons have always been snobs and they think they are better than most white folks as well. They always come out with the crap about how they was “just common folks from a place called Hope” while they send their daughter to a private school that cost more than most of us make in a year (wonder how many “common folks” friend she has!) and vacation in Martha’s Vinyard. The fact is that the Clintons want NOTHING to do with working people except at election time. I think The Idiot (Bush) probably has more contact with regular folks than the Clintons do.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic organization, recognized by the Church.
    JFK was a member.
    KofC Ceremonies are secret.

Besides, that is not what you said. You said you wanted Mitt Romney to talk about his faith, and you tried to compare Romney with JFK.
    That does not wash.
JFK simply told a Baptist organization that he would not take orders from Rome, and that he was his own man.
    JFK NEVER explained his faith.

you tried to compare Romney with JFK.

Uh no. Romney is not even in the same league as Kennedy.

And the Catholic church is not secretive about its ceremonies. One knew what a Catholic was and their ceremony. One knows that Romney is a Mormom but does NOT know the ….unusual aspects of Romney’s faith.

I don’t give a whit about his faith. I am just curious as to why it is such a big secret.

Romney is little more than a corporate raider in his personal life. Does this come from his faith? Inquiring minds want to know.

See? Seeking information is not bigotry. Informed people are not bigots.

If the church of latter day saints or Romney or any other member would be more forthcoming their faith would be less an issue. Knowledge brings understanding.

I’ll give you an example. Any Mormon feel free to correct any mistakes.

    I do family research.

I got seniority on all of you likely by the way. Any native American people excepted.

Anywho, LDS is BIG into genealogy. Now I THOUGHT it was like a public service. I mean the knowledge is certainly useful in building family histories. Good on them.

    But,

I don’t know about anyone else, but I find the idea of these people baptizing my dead family members into the Mormon faith presumptuous and frankly more than a little creepy.

Now is THIS the primary reason for the family research work? And if so, SAY so. Put a good face on it.
