Ol Senator Rubberstamp was willing to do whatever it took to cover up Bush’s deceit, duplicity, and damn lies in the run-up to Iraq.

Let him continue to work for Bush, not for Kansas, since that is the decision he made by protecting

Seems like Greg Norman’s campaign is off to an aggressive start – he was spotted campaigning in Missouri late on Friday night at the Velvet Dog. I hear his new line is “Hey Baby, I’m running for Senate.” I’m sure Greg’s a nice guy, but running for the Senate should not be a pick up line. We need someone serious, and with experience.

Matt refers to Roberts as a “statesman.” What a laugh! No statesman would have stonewalled the delivery of the Senate Intelligence committee investigation report on how we got drug into Iraq until after Bush was re-elected. Pat Roberts needs to be sent down the river of history just like his joke of a president.

Roberts has spent his life working for Kansas. First as a staffer, then as a statesman. That is a man who can say he has dedicated his life to public service without having his fingers crossed behind his back.

Orman is an import from Minnesota, and most recently Florida. Watch his youtube video- he hasn’t even bothered to lose the accent before his run in Kansas! He isn’t even a competitor in this race. Roberts will be successful again, because the majority of Kansans think he’s doing a good job. His approval rating in the state is at 56%.

Although I agree with what you say, I don’t think “things” have ever been as bad as they are now. bushco have done MUCH to motivate and make people aware of the need for change. I think we’ll see less voter apathy and fewer people distracted by the latest bright and shiny object.

Roberts hasn’t lived in Kansas for years- ever since he took his first job as a staffer more than 4 decades ago he’s lived almost full time in DC

Explain how he’s the best voice for kansas?

my money’s on Orman- Roberts has done a miserable job- particularly when it comes to health care issues and iraq, and I think the people of kansas will agree.

Linda we have been saying that for decades and never hold anyone accuntable for what they say they will do — look at the con jobs the GOP did on the Christian conservatives that got them elected —- DC is designed to be resistent to change —- they (both parties) count on us being distracted by the constant distractions and mis directions —- I think the only thing that may change the way DC does business is if there is a general country wide labor strike or slowdown —- capitalism minimizes the importance of labor, it’s all about earnings per share, why not earnings per employee with more of those earnings returned to the employees (not in the form of Enron type stock transactions)

He’s just a guy with an ego trying to buy a race. What a joke. His website claims he has dedicated his life to public service. Does he think we’re stupid enough to believe this? He has dedicated his life to filling his wallet and trolling for girls. Judging by his choice of friends on myspace and facebook, his candidacy is definitely helping in the girl department.

Does the kool-aid come in different flavors? I’m for making all elected officials more accountable and often think getting rid of all incumbents is a good place to start!

Probably take longer than if we were dealing with regular folks of normal intelligence and morals — these are politicians, don’t ya know.

Didn’t Roberts get rid of the position and responsibilities instead of getting out that report?? And is he still hoping we’ve forgotten??

I will look in on Orman’s site and see what he’s got!

Wasn’t he still listed as a registered ‘unaffiliated’ when it first came out he might run. Sounds like he isn’t even sure where he stands on the issues.

Yes, he’s very well aligned with your typical Kansan….he maxed out donations to Hillary Clinton as well as donating to Al Franken and Bill Richardson. He semi lives/lived in Florida and is a Kansas City party boy. This guy is a joke of a candidate

I think everyone – including the Eagle – may very well be quite surprised by Greg Orman. He is a successful entrepeneur, is raising a substantial campaign fund without using his own money (watch for his 4th quarter campaign finance report), and has an excellent command of the issues. He is going to be a serious contender.
