I just read that someone is voting for Romney because “he looks Presidential”. What does a President look like? I love this country, so vain, so arrogant, so stupid. And that shit will never come back to haunt us and when it does, we’ll have deserved it.

But, I guess I’ll join them…I want a chick prez with big tits and a nice ass with lips like Angelina. She best not have those nasty friggin Hillary thighs though. And if she can’t think, what does that matter? She’s got that fantastic rack!

I’ve got lips like Angelina, but you won’t see me running for prez. For one thing, I don’t have the dough – or the political stomach and/or experience.

And I can’t say I’d want Brad Pitt’s ladylove to be president – those public displays of not-so-private copulation with then-husband B.B. Thornton in 2000 really creeped me out.

I agree – voting for someone because of how they “look” is stupid. Hillary may look presidential, but I’m leaning more and more toward Obama. His energizing, brilliant speech at the 2004 Democratic convention augured great, great things – in my opinion. He’s young; he’s vibrant; he’s forward-thinking; he’s intelligent…..

And he don’t got a spouse with a nasty temper and and an even nastier ex-intern in her past. That’s, like……oh, I don’t know……HUGE.

I think good ol’ B. Clinton may have irrevocably harmed his spouse’s chances of taking over the W. House. When you’ve sunk to certifiable idiocy – and taken the country down with you – a decade ago, the public doesn’t really like petulance and temper tantrums.

I’d place my bets on Obama. And, no, not because he “looks” presidential (although he does). Rather, because he just could BE presidential.

Want to save the planet? Show you care about the environment? Interested in saving some money while you’re at it? Have I found the deal for you!!!!

No need to waste real money on “carbon offsets” when you can get them for free! Yes, FREE!!!

    http://freecarbonoffsets.com/home.do;jsessionid=184D3F1FCDF7BCB7CD320A83F1E47B3D

Yes, you too can be smug and self-important with just a click of the mouse. Go ahead. You’ll feel better. Go on . . . . . there – don’t you feel more self-satisfied already?

    But wait, there’s more!!!

Your purchase does every bit as much good as that $89,000 that Congress spend on offsets – who spent YOUR money and got, well, nothing. Well, aside from funneling your dollars to a Democratic contributer. There’s that little thing.

    http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/archives/016783.php

How much smug does $89,000 buy? And you get it for FREE!!!!!!!!

You can thank me later . . .

Just how good is the MSM keeping news of Ron Paul out of the public view? He has now finished 2nd in two primaries, and I have yet to see anything about his placing in Louisiana. In fact yesterday I was watch on CSPAN the editor from human events, a conservative magazine and he said Paul has never finished above fifth! He had beat out both Giuliani and Thompson in separate contest and they still get the news over Paul. Welcome to Soviet style news reporting and you still think that nothing is wrong?

Here is an example of how far our newsmedia has swayed from simply reporting the news. Now, they editorialize for the American People, “what the news SHOULD be”:

WASHINGTON (CNN) – It could have been a moment for Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to demonstrate the civility they say we need in our politics.

Here’s where it could have happened.

When Clinton straightened up, Kennedy quickly reached across Barack Obama to shake Clinton’s hand. She took it. As they spoke, Obama turned away. Then the senators seated to Obama’s right – Ben Nelson and Ken Salazar — both shook Senator Clinton’s hand and talked to her. Instead of doing the same, Obama turned to look at the back of the room. Sen. Claire McCaskill, who has also endorsed Obama and was seated next to Kennedy, reached across the Massachusetts senator — who was still talking to Clinton — and tapped Obama (still twisted toward the back of the room) on the shoulder. McCaskill engaged Obama in conversation until the moment passed.

It all lasted less than five minutes. Neither acknowledged the other all night.

Paul Defeats Clinton in Clinton Country

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul defeated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the first straw poll to pit Republicans against Democrats on the same ballot. Middletown, CT held its city straw poll Saturday night at the Church of Holy Trinity. Proceeds from the $10 fee for participating were donated to the Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition. Paul led on the first ballot with 42 percent to Clinton’s 30 percent and Obama’s 20 percent. Other candidates received 2 percent or less. Other trailing candidates were eliminated and on the third ballot Paul prevailed 46 to 42 percent.

Bryan Tracy, who is with the Paul campaign in Connecticut, said although the Clinton supporters in Middletown were surprised, he wasn’t.

“This shows Ron Paul’s electability in the general election,” Tracy said. “We think that when people get a chance to compare our stands on the issues with Hillary’s, we will prevail.”

Y’all do recall that New Hampshire is underway with a recount? No? Wonder why that is? Hate to have THAT curtain drawn back…

Election integrity activists in New Hampshire are finding all kinds of problems with the electronic vote count in last week’s presidential primary, after a first day of recounting the Democratic vote…
According to an extensive report by Brad Friedman, …, there have been numerous errors — small and large — that the recount, a process where paper ballots that were originally scanned by computer are now counted by hand, has turned up.
These include: electronic tallies that were off by several votes, paper ballots [that] were not read by electronic scanners (550 in one town), ballots that were not read because the voters used the wrong kind of marking pen. He also reported that some election records are missing, notably computer memory cards.

Y’all still thinking your vote matters? Not unless you stay on top and FORCE your vote to count.

Eliminate Taxes on Dividends and Savings. The basis of capitalism is savings, and Americans who do so should be rewarded.
Pass HJ Res. 23 to encourage savings over consumption.

Repeal the Death Tax. Attacking small businesses and breaking up family farms smothers growth and kills jobs.
Pass H.R. 2734 to make the Bush tax cuts permanent.

Cut Taxes for Working Seniors. Grandmothers and grandfathers working to make ends meet should keep all the fruits of their labor.
Pass H.R. 191 to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to repeal the inclusion in gross income of Social Security benefits.

Eliminate Taxes on Social Security Benefits. That money belongs to seniors, not the government. They paid into the system for a lifetime, and they should be free to spend every penny as they see fit.
Pass H.R. 192 to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to repeal the 1993 increase in taxes on Social Security benefits.

Accelerate Depreciation on Investment. We need to help companies grow and create jobs.
Pass H.R. 4995 to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to reduce corporate marginal income tax rates.

Eliminate Taxes on Capital Gains. Investment should be embraced and rewarded.
Pass H.J. Res 23 (The “Liberty Amendment”), proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relative to abolishing personal income, estate, and gift taxes and prohibiting the United States Government from engaging in business in competition with its citizens.

Eliminate Taxes on Tips. The single parents and working students who earn their income chiefly through tips deserve to keep all of their money. This tax on “estimated income” is unfair and should be ended.
Pass H.R. 3664 to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide that tips shall not be subject to income or employment taxes.

Support the Mortgage Cancellation Relief Act. Working families who lost their homes should not be punished a second time with a big IRS bill.
Pass H.R. 1876 to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exclude from the gross income of individual taxpayers discharges of indebtedness attributable to certain forgiven residential mortgage obligations.

Good question, since Paul’s stated policies would in effect cancel the short sighted goals of many in power. They might have to take a number, the Neoconservatives, corporations
that may a larger profit from the importing of value added goods, the list goes on.

Something that is the 800 pounded Gorilla in the room that has not been addressed.
Before the income tax, how did the Federal government get most of its revenue?
Users fees and tariffs on imported goods, it is something that has not been said. But since it worked before and did a fine job of it. It might stand to reason that there would be a return to tariffs. This in the end would not be bad as it would mean that jobs lost to over sea would likely come back.

The return to the Gold standard would strength our dollar but would also limit the number of dollars available. To those making a killing on the floridity of the dollar it would be bad news.

Paul’s message makes sense when thought about, so to limit that message is in the best interest of those in control at the moment.

I take everything with a grain of salt, these people often use reverse physiology.
They have used it to try and get Hillary nominated thinking that there is such a general hatred for the Clintons that many could not vote for her. But the same works with their opinion of a chosen candidate. Since many think little of Rush’s and the likes opinion, they maybe trying to get more votes for who ever they are saying they are against.
