Next underpaid attorney general could be a Republican

sixstephenAs a Douglas County District Court judge since 2005, Stephen Six has earned $118,000 a year. As the state’s attorney general, Six will earn $96,000. The man Six is replacing, Paul Morrison, took a $50,000 pay cut to be promoted from a county district attorney to attorney general. Because both men are Democrats, many in the GOP-led Legislature may be unmoved by the suggestion that the attorney general’s salary is too low. But properly compensating the state’s top cop should have nothing to do with party affiliation. Besides, Six is only the seventh Democrat to hold the post; Kansas’ 147-year history is on the GOP’s side.

An underpaid politician finds a way to be compensated. No wonder politics is so corrupted.

RS, you said it! And said it well!

I received a really nasty robocall last week. I didn’t pay close attention and hung up before the recording finished but it seems phillllll’s supporters have now decided Morrison murdered someone and belongs in prison (or something equally far fetched!). Anyone else receive this call? Do these people actually walk and drive on the same streets sane people do? Are they possibly in front or back of us in the line at the grocery? Guess if they’re occupied with this vendetta maybe they’re busy enough to keep their insanity out of other places.

There is a school of thought that people who work for the love of the job, rather than money, do a better job. In other words, production in jobs requiring “vision,” is inversly proportional to compensation. Any truth to this?

Lindainks55, actually you have alot in common with that robocaller, I think he would be offended that you called him one of Phill’s supporters. So before you jump to any conclusions you might check out his site. http://fairtrialsinamerica.org/ Even though he seems a bit insane, you might like him cause he’s anti-Phill too. And yes I received a call too but I think before I jump and found his site. But I had an advantage, I was in the grocery line when he called and left a message. And decided to look him up.
