McCain has been through a lot of crap in his years. He may be on the aged side of life, but I don’t think that will affect his presidential duties, should he be elected. However, I do think he is too liberal on certain Republican issues. If he took a more Conservative view on these issues, I believe he would probably win the nomination. I’m going to stick with Romney in ‘08.

We don’t know how long Reagan had Alzheimer’s before he died. As a nurse I know Alzheimer’s doesn’t just suddenly appear. It starts as much as 20 years before the person dies of related symptoms. When the President Reagan testified in the Iran contra scandal he could not remember the event, I believe him. It could have been a sign of his Alzheimer’s and the older you get the increase chance of some type of dementia. Do we really want a President who can’t remember or is a really puppet for his advisors. IMHO, Who WE elect is who WE want to run the country not the wife or advisors.

McCain may be old but I think Fred Thompson died two years ago. Has anyone heard this guy speak? His voice is a cure for insomnia. Huckabee is pretty young again. He says he’s born again but I wonder how he convinced his mom to go through the entire birthing process again.

McCain is too old. We tried this experiment once before and it didn’t work out too well. Ronald “Trees Cause Pollution” Reagan was a huge joke as a president, especially in his latter years.

McCain would be three years older than Reagan when he takes office, should he win.

At the very least, we need someone that will actually be awake during his presidency.
