At least 40 people claim to have seen a mile-wide unidentified object flying in the sky Jan. 8 near Stephenville, Texas, including some guys who supposedly recorded it on a cell phone.

Oh, pul–leaze, Phillip! Kucinich has said repeatedly that he saw an Unidentified Flying Object –something in the sky that made him go “What the hell was that?”
Kucinich is going nowhere in the presidential race. What was the point of this fluff hit piece?
Were you just bored, or out of ideas?
Surely Britney’s doing something psychotic today! /sarcasm
Hit piece? I thought it was just a topic of current affairs.
You gotta be a fool to think that there isn’t a possibility of other beings. have you seen any Hubbell photos? Pretty big place out there. From Phoenixs’ deal where thousands saw something unexplainable (even their Governor) to O’Hare Airports’ deal and now this in Texas. But it’s all over the place. Who knows, but it still takes balls to come out with this stuff.
As the for the UFO in this instance, I reserve judgment as to its cause.
You gotta be a fool to think that there isn’t a possibility of other beings.
Pleefer, just to begin with: do you have any comprehension of interstellar distances? Why aliens take years to come to this one small planet, only to do the equivalent of knocking on the doorbell and running away?
Give me a break. I certainly believe there could be life on other planets, but it’s a big, big universe, and there’s little reason to believe that other civilizations even know about us, let alone are among us.
I think you’ve been watching too many X-files .
Are you gonna school me on astro physics?
No.
For all I know it’s some new version of the SR-71 or B2. I’m just saying, if I may, that thousands of corroborating stories can’t be too far fetched. Sorry for my ignorance and utter stupidity.
Well
I think people see….something.
I don’t know what it is. But people are seeing stuff. Sooner or later, a camera will be in the right place at the right time.
PROOF:
WS Clark – Fearless Leader (For One-World Big Government)
JR – Wannabee Fearless Leader, chatters a lot without saying anything (with pointy ears)
Capn – Flying Saucer Pilot (half blind and constantly steering in the wrong direction)
Dr. Farmie – Psaucer Psychologist and Sex Therapist
Political Momma Ohura – Coummunication Specialist
Steven Davis – Ambassador for World Peace
Cosmos – Engineering to Increase Earth’s Temperature to a habitable level (The name says it all!)
MonkeyHawk – Weapons specialist constantly dropping F Bombs
Chas – Religious leader of Orkanism faith (2nd Quadrant variation)
Tom – Warped out of his mind in Engineering
I saw a UFO once, but I was doing some purple blotter acid at the time. That was 1969, right after the Hendrix concert.
I think they might be Reptoid lizard people…like David Icke always talks about.
That was 1969, right after the Hendrix concert.
Woodstock?
Obviously, all these people are seeing something, but there are many possibilities that don’t involve space travel or alien beings.
Maybe it’s something like the northern lights. Maybe it’s “marsh gas.” Maybe a kind of mirage.
“There’s more in heaven and earth than are drempt of . . . ” Hamlet
And just maybe there are little hooligan kids with flashlights making a big prank. Maybe it’s a Borat type thing and we’re all being duped.
Jesus wept Phillip. I agree with Rage.
Slow news day???
And Lesbians laughed.
It’s a recycled news story. Already been here on the WE Blog at least once before.
But hey, if there was a story about Guiliani riding the back of “Champy,” I might be interested.

A number of UFO sightings in southern California were traced to the ’skunk works’ near Palmdale.
I was 17 and it was the first summer I went with my best friend and his family to Missouri. They were telling me on the way over that I would find it interesting to see the “dancing dots”. What they said was that these dots of light would change colors and zoom across the night sky changing directions at often ninety degree angles. Going from blue to green and yellow in no certain pattern, but once they turned red they would disappear.
I had never seen a UFO and it seem to me not likely that it would happen often enough to be a legend.
But sure enough, one night I saw it and it was exactly as they described. Planes do not do ninety degree turns and they were moving far to fast to have been helicopters. Moving from one side of the sky to the other at amazing speed. And there were about eight of them at the same time and yes changing colors as they had described. Finally one at a time they changed to red and gone! What were they? I do not know but I do know I saw them. The older one get the more unexplainable things you get to see, then it becomes a question of either believing or not. If you choose to not believe then you do not tell anyone you have seen them. A Ghost or a strange creature on a foggy morning while hunting. But then those are other strange sights. (LOL I can not tell you how relieved I was to find out the rest of my family had also seen a tall figure in the basement here!)
But I have seen strange lights in the skies over a remote area of Missouri! If there had been one than I might have dismissed it as simply they had planted the idea in my head. If others had not seen them before or since I would not be talking about then now.
Inversion layers, fog and gases of the atmospheric kinds can distort and project images for hundreds of miles.
Some of the more famous ones are when trans ocean pilots see ocean liners and tankers appear to float in the air. Not sure what it is caused by, but I’m sure it’s an inverted layer of some atmospheric anomalies.
There was a story today on NPR about what may have caused the UFO image in Texas:

Interesting writerdog.
Like I say, people are seeing something.
If you’re not worried about revealing your age? What year was this?
It’s interesting to me that these sightings begin at just after the first nuclear weapons were detonated. Were they detected by a civilization advanced beyond anything we could conceive?
Dedicated to Writer Dog:
Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I’d go berserk?
Well. . .
You left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I’ve gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .
They’re coming to take me away, HA HA
They’re coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I’ll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they’re coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!
You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .
You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I’m utterly mad!
And. . .
They’re coming to take me away, HA HA
They’re coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they’re coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!
I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!
Hah. . .
Well you just wait
They’ll find you yet
And when they do they’ll
Put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!
And. . .
They’re coming to take me away, HA HA
They’re coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I’ll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they’re coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

writerdog is a well respected and regarded poster here James.
You are not. This commentary is the only attention you will get.
Sorry to disappoint JR, but that post was not made by me.
Amusing though.
Oh, and stop being paranoid about me making every other post here. It ain’t happening.

James knock it off!
Quit posting under my Nic!
They’re coming to take me away, HA HA
They’re coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
Man James, you have so many names!
You get credit for every Nic post!
Amazing!
Same stuff, different day…………… won’t be happy until the blog is completely shut down.
Let it go WS.
The blog is going nowhere. James the loon and his acting out COULD become the stuff of comedy. We just need to leave him to improv and not let him in any dramatic roles.
Shhh! He’s waxing insane.
In fact, not only am I a registered user, I make passionate love to the Wordpress software every night!

K guys……Anybody who believes Kucinich is a poor candidate because of UFOs has REAL problems.
“The blog is going nowhere.”
Yeah, you are right J R, maybe it’s time for another break until they (WE) can get their act together.
This seems to be a lost cause for now.

is not mine.
JimmyMac,
And where are your so-called Congressional and Justice Dept links re the New Orleans levees?
Poor JimmyMac still cannot find those links. Maybe a UFO deleted his links?
To say that you saw something you can not explain is not crazy. That is what the “U” means, “unidentified” —
However, to ask for a Federal investigation of a political opponent for taking a video camera into your office to prove you were not there?
YES, Dennis is delusional:

Clark, I hope you stay around.
I have had complaints from the WE Blog staff about my posting personal info about the troll who shall not be mentioned, but interestingly, he re-posts those posts and has no consequences.
1) I believe the said troll wants to be victimized and sets it up so that he is… and
2) he has less ability to accept responsibility for his behavior than some serious sociopaths I have met. James is a victim. Always has been, always will be. Avoid this jerk, unless it is impossible to do so.
This is from his too recent posts:

The post that ties Steven Davis to all three posts.
“But knowing blind partisans want to make it about Kline, if he is smart, he will appoint a well-respected, attorney or former judge, whose impartiality is beyond question.”
If Kline is smart? As outlander would say ‘chuckle’.
This whole deal with Morrison is very disappointing. I may swear off sending any support to future politicians as a result of this.

This Steven Davis is supposable [sic, this poor clown can't even speak English] a poster all of you Libs respect.
He doesn’t know the meaning of legal boundary when it comes to privacy.
I’m asking once again for WE Blog to examine the IP address of this poster Steven Davis.
If it is the same, I asked he be permanently banned.
I will be seeking to tie the rest of the Lib crew hit squad together with Weblogs I have saved from the past.
This poor turd is just too pathetic, don’t you think?

Interesting writerdog.
Like I say, people are seeing something.
If you’re not worried about revealing your age? What year was this?
1974 I believe, around 30 miles from Branson between Alva and Spertia Mo.
1974?
It is a coincidence that I saw a triangle shape ufo in that same year here in Kansas.
This not sarcasm.
I think there probably is life somewhere in other galaxies, but I hold a lot of doubt about alien life visiting our planet. I think its probably just modern technology, some super hi tech planes that are classified. We have concept cars, so I’m sure we have concept planes that have to be flown around, but we don’t have concept plane expos for the public. So people just see some really strange things flying around. A ufo does mean identified flying object, it doesn’t mean anything about alien life, and I believe Denis Kucinch used the term ufo in a professional manner, he wasn’t implying anything about aliens.
I meant unidentified fly object for ufo, I typed identified.
Well, when you have Shirley MacClaine for a mother-in-law, crystal pyramids, extra-terrestrials, sitar music and out of body meditation are stardard practices.
LoL 74 was a strange year wiseman
