Election rich in political hooey

Giulianismiling  It only seems as if presidential candidates have played faster and looser with the truth so far this election cycle. “I would not say that the level of honesty or deception is better or worse than in past campaigns,” Brooks Jackson, director of Annenberg Political Fact Check, told the Washington Post. But for the record: Mitt Romney never saw his father march with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., 660 Pakistanis did not cross U.S. borders illegally in 2006 (Mike Huckabee said they did), Rudy Giuliani’s odds of surviving prostate cancer were not twice as high in the United States as in Britain, there are not more young black males in prison than in college (Barack Obama), NAFTA has not cost Americans “millions of jobs” (John Edwards), and there is no plan for a “NAFTA superhighway” to link Mexico with Canada and undermine U.S. sovereignty (Ron Paul). Any questions? Check out the Web site www.factcheck.org for its “whoppers of 2007” and other political hooey.

Well, she did not say it in 2007, but do you remember the “Sir Edmund Hillary” line?

Hillary says she was NAMED after the guy, but he was not, really, famous until AFTER Hillary was born!

Now Rhonda it is awfully cold for you to being exposing your right wing today.

A little biased with the cast of characters weren’t you?

I did see Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giulianni in Rhonda’s list.

The only Democrats that Rhonda mentioned were Obama and Edwards.

(Which is why I felt compelled to bring up Sir Hillary)

Wasn’t it Obama who said something about thousands dying in Greensburg?

That web site is about as factual as the National Enquiry magazine sold at the check out stands of every grocery store across the U.S.

    Hey, another Hillary Whopper:

Hillary says that she came under enemy fire, when she and a rock star and her daughter went to Bosnia.

The pilot says that she had the date wrong, and that there was NO enemy fire, that it was a very secure area!
