Paula Jones was only one of several women to come forward, against Clinton.

It is crazy for a man in the public eye to do what Bill Clinton did, with anyone. Again, we are all human. It would be easier to forgive if it was not, habitually, with subordinates.

Sexual misconduct, on the job, with a subordinate, is just plain crazy to risk, because the law is crazy. Liberals are responsible for the current state of the law, not us conservatives.

By the way, the photos are absolutely nauseating – the photos of the (so-called) Dr. Laura and Patti Davis Reagan are much better, but as a rule, right wing women should keep their clothes on.

To be awarded damages, you must PROVE damages.

And just for your edification, Paul, I spent years in industrial management – I know a little of what I am talking about regarding damages. I did not have to deal directly with a sexual harassment case, but I did with other cases of alleged harassment and – yes – damages have to be proven.

Employers settle because is usually cheaper to settle than it is to litigate – that does not mean that anyone is guilty.

In my last management position, I was with a company who’s standard policy when faced with a lawsuit was to immediately offer a one time settlement of $5,000.

That offer was accepted 95+% of the time.

It saved us money and the employee was required to resign with no further activity.

I know business, Paul, and I know that sexual harassment is difficult to prove, especially if there are no actual damages to the employees career.

I do not condone sexual harassment in any manner – and have actively fought against it as a business manager, even when the harassment was only apparent to me – but I also know that ACTUAL damages have to be proven for monetary awards to be given.
