Praise for McCain

Mccain3Long a candidate with more respect than money or momentum, John McCain had a very good weekend, garnering endorsements in the GOP presidential race not only from the Des Moines Register and the Boston Globe but also from former Democratic vice presidential nominee Joseph Lieberman, now the independent Democratic senator from Connecticut. “On all the issues, you’re never going to do anything about them unless you have a leader who can break through the partisan gridlock,” Lieberman said. “The status quo in Washington is not working.”
On the Democratic side, the Des Moines Register endorsed Hillary Clinton and the Boston Globe endorsed Barack Obama.

Hotdog, that’s why the Eagle and other Lib media support McCain.

I’m getting old, but it used to be, in my day, newspapers at least tried to maintain some perception of Objective Independence.

Now the press doesn’t even pretend to be unbiased.

More honest about their propoganda now, so that’s an improvement, I guess.

    My theory?

The press knows that McCain can’t win, so NOW they will be nice to McCain again.

McCain was the media lap dog, prior to jumping into the Presidential race. Then, he got sent to the dog house. Now, he is allowed inside, again.

Also, most members of the press and almost all of the MSM want Hillary to win. Hillary or Obama, anyway.

If they endorse a looser, like McCain, they gain the Senate leaks, they have always craved, from McCain.

This way they also don’t have to worry about McCain waiving the endorsement around, in the General.

    He won’t win!

Paul – interesting observation. I think the press also likes to encourage the underdogs to keep interest up (to sell papers)

All America needs–a politician who has taken hypocracy and made it into an art form.

Hehe, JR . . . zombification ray, ain’t it the truth.

One wonders how Joe “AIPAC” Leiberman could sell out any more than he already has, and then he endorses McCain.

Mein Gott in Himmel, the man has no shame . . . or pride, apparently.

John has played the poor captured war hero bit for a long time, and it has done well for him. But, it’s not going to get him in the white house. He needs to realize he has had a good run, but it is not going to take him all the way. What America needs is not a bunch of poor frat boy losers (Bush and Bush, McCain, Kerry, etc) who play on sympathy and get a few winners up there for us to vote on. People who have won in life, not been shot down, had their daddy pull all the strings, or get a few phony purple hearts. They are out there, we just need to find a way to get them to the front.
