The truly misnamed Iowans for Some Semblance of Christian Decency put fliers under the doors of a Des Moines hotel detailing why they think former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s record and views fail their biblical and conservative tests. They took issue with his stand on illegal immigration, efforts to parole a rapist (who went on to kill), and support for religious and cultural diversity, and even accused him of “sacrilegious mocking of God for political gain.†Those behind such stealth campaigns should not be able to hide behind phony organizations.

Huckabee thinks it’s a fun prank to release a convicted serial rapist and murderer just because one of Clinton’s distant cousins was a victim. Although people who were raped by this man pleaded for Huckabee to change his mind, and was warned that he’d kill future victims Huckabee thought a little political gain was better than two more dead women.

These Christians need to point out to me where exactly it states in the Bible that illegal immigration is a sin. If it is a sin they need to take their asses back to Europe and give the land back to the NAs and Mexicans they stole it from to begin with! These are very sick puppies. I wish canidates would quit catering to the religious right crowd, apparently those people can’t make up their mind and only look to vote for the most God fearing canidate instead of looking at the real issues. If they have to be bamboozeled every election by a canidate using God as a promotional tool to know who to vote for, well hopefully their waking up and realizing theres more important issues that need to be looked in U.S. politics than which canidate is endorsing God the most.

Huckabee went to the parole board and against the law had the recordings stopped and pressured for a change in their vote. Members of the parole board have come forward to tell the public that Huckabee is lying about the issue.
As far as I’m concerned Huckabee is partially responsible for the rape and murder of two women. Only a complete incompetent boob would release a convicted murderer and a serial rapist.
However Huckabee says he has been endorsed by God so all the religious people must either vote for him or be denounced as anti-Christian. The guy is a whack job but that pales in comparison to his role in the deaths of two women.

So the average sentence for rape is 11.8 years, and average actual time served is 5.4 years.
Dumond was sentenced to life plus 20 years, commuted downward to 39 years by Jim Guy Tucker and he eventually served about 13 years, by the time he was paroled by the Arkansas Parole Board.
And Dumond was castrated in an attack by two men before he was convicted on the original rape charge. The sheriff had his testicles in a jar, I guess to prove it.
Personally, I don’t care whether they made him spend his life in prison as he was originally sentenced to. The SOB deserved it. And there is danger in letting any violent criminal back in society, ever. Perhaps there should be no parole for violent criminals. What do you think about that idea libs? But anyone who says that Dumond got a soft sentence is not supported by the facts.

In fact Horton would have been released under a program initiated by a previous Republican governor. As a further point, there’s also the issue of the letters which The Huckster received from other rape victims of Dumond. In trial proceedings, such letters aren’t admissible as evidence. But in a parole context, they ARE relevant, since they provide additional background that can be weighed in making a decision.
The Huckster was contacted by multiple women; he had access to a full picture of Dumond’s criminal history; he had a chance to ask himself whether there was a pattern in Dumond’s behavior; and yet he still pushed for parole.

Why parole a monster like Green?
Gov. Huckabee probably never read the confession of a demented killer named Glen Green before he made the monster eligible for parole.
Green’s confession is so depraved, its sadistic details so scary that no sane, responsible adult would consider him for parole.
If the governor didn’t read the confession, he is guilty of dereliction of duty.
But if he read the confession and still considers Green deserving of parole, he’s certainly unfit to hold office. Maybe the parole board figured,rather than see the guys sentence commuted or see him pardoned, it would be better to release him on parole. Huckabe had made it clear what he was going to do in a few months. So, under that reasoning, they did the best they could and shouldn’t have to shoulder the burden of Huckabe’s mistake.
