Merry Christmas, WE Bloggers

Christmastree Having seen the wish for a white Christmas come true, many south-central Kansans will do their part today to make the holiday merry and bright.
May those aching from the absence of loved ones who are among the courageous men and women in our military know their families are in the community’s prayers and hearts.
May those who have lost relatives and friends this year to illness, accidents, homicide and suicide feel their grief eased by the season’s joy.
May the other challenges of this year — whether as shared as Greensburg’s devastation or as singular as a lost job or broken heart — lead to better days.
With aircraft plants hiring and agriculture and energy surging, the region has every reason to be optimistic about the gifts that 2008 may bring.
In the meantime, merry Christmas to all.

    Beutifully said, Rhonda!

Thank you, WE, for the opportunity to share our views, no matter how different and heated they sometimes become. It’s hard to believe that when we meet face to face, we’re actually all very nice and treat each other with the respect we each deserve.

And, Hank, we’re all glad Nathan is home again, sharing the holidays with you and your better half. :)
    Merry Christmas!

A new year brings an election and hope that mind will be paid to the “general welfare” and “government of by and for the people”

A blanket of white snow, a beautiful waning full-moon (was full/full on Sunday), a day to contemplate the meaning of Christmas … on this early Christmas Day morning in Kansas, December 25, 2007.

JR, I think you really want someone to take care of *your* specific welfare, if you would be true to yourself. Get a job!

Merry Christmas to all. Listened to a lot of good Christmas music during the day yesterday (courtesy of NPR) and watched Christmas specials last night (PBS). Then ended with Midnight Mass and didn’t even get arrested! So much for Bill O’Reilly’s “War on Christmas”!

    Merry Christmas indeed!

    PS Ben,

As long as you keep your head buried in your church you will never see the people with burning torches walking towards the door…

Meanwhile you are still telling yourself that you are fine inside your church as those torches are being thrown at it from outside.

Just cover your eyes, put your fingers in your ears, and say LA LA LA LA LA LA LA as loud as you can. Hopefully you will pass out from the smoke before you are burned.

    Melodramatic much there Nathan?

“you will never see the people with burning torches walking towards the door…”?

    Now really.

You’ve no worry from most as to your church. Me I don’t go near the places.

    I require the same consideration.

    JR,

It was a metaphorical response to Ben’s claims that he was not arrested yet…

Merry Christmas Rhonda, Merry Christmas to the editors and all of my fellow bloggers (and I really do mean “ALL”).

This Christmas caps off a very special year for me. Mrs XXX and I got married this year. We just returned from a perfect holiday with my family.

I hope everyone had a Christmas as wonderful as mine.
