It is safer out there

Drunkdriving The deep declines in local traffic fatalities (down 59 percent) and motorcycle fatalities (down 91 percent) through October of this year have to be considered welcome indicators of cautious driving and vigorous enforcement. But going into the party-heavy holidays, it’s hardly good news that alcohol-related fatalities and arrests for driving under the influence have been up 33 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
A few requests for all seasons: If alcohol is a must, find another way home. And save the phoning and text-messaging for times when you’re not operating heavy machinery.

B.S. Most likely luck, and better cars. Or your economy is so trashed, there is less traffic.

Wow! Just yesterday the WEBLOG was promoting changing the law so teachers with a DUI could teach.

On one hand, let’s encourge drinking, by lowering the standard.

But on the other hand, let’s tell people not to drink and drive during the all (non-holiday spirit) “seasons”.

Maybe they finally reached the maximum of all those ‘nut jobs’ on Kellogg driving at 85 mph during rush hour.

I wanted to shoot the tires out many a time on those reckless people.

The implied threat in the 9:48 post should be taken very seriously.

In the event of any shooting in the vicinity of Kellogg, I recommend the Eagle notify the police of the identity of the 9:48 poster. They might want to notify them as to the threat.

Ah the hider Lib shows up once again.

No longer can Libs take the high ground and ‘waah waah’ about stolen nics and trolling.

    I think it’s hilarious.

However, we all know they did it before, they just don’t admit it.

    Kansas is vindicated once again.

The old nic-switching/sharing JM rears it’s ugly head. Following Kansas around as trolls normally do.

Guess it cannot be disputed: These are liberal trolls.

    Hypocritters the lot.

    Happy fingers typing!

Wasn’t it J R who was talking about shooting dogs the other day?

    Did anyone report him?

AmWay – saying that there should be a road to redemption available to someone who has made a mistake in the past is a far cry from simply letting them off scot-free. Make the sanctions tough; but allow a person to resume his life afterwards.

Yeah and Nathan “threatened” to make people and cars disappear.

The difference is? I’m not known for a volatile temper and a disturbed thought process. “kansas” IS.

He lives within walking distance of Kellogg too.

Everybody KNOWS “Republican” AND “Republikhan” were you “kansas”.

You even used to have Republican on your type key.

Boy you sure better cross your fingers.

If there is a shooting on Kellogg, or somebody named Rimmel gets hurt, or anything at all happens to me?

Why you’d be the prime suspect wouldn’t you?

Ya know it’s funny. I didn’t even know what a “twice barrel” was. So I searched it.

The first definition I got was from the context of one of YOUR posts.

You need to get some help.

Actually, “twice barrel shoot gun” comes from a Cajun Comedian. Forgot his name, been years since I heard the routine.

The point of yesterday’s thread was that a prior conviction or diversion for DUI should not affect one’s ability to get a teaching license.
Not to encourage drinking and definitely not to encourage drinking and driving.

Though I doubt this distinction will register with you.

This is the most retarded post I’ve ever had the misfortune to read.

Also, I want to smack people on airplanes who take up all the elbow room. Welp, better report me as a terrorist threat.

The point of yesterdays thread was that many of us believe that a prior conviction for DUI is serious enough that yes it SHOULD prevent one from gainering a teaching certificate in the great state of Kansas.

I am not going to go into why you are wrong on this, please refer to yesterday’s discussion.

In the meantime, a point you can take away for today is that I think some of you are too ignorant to retain your right to vote.

It’s still a local thing they do here, forgot who sponsors it. Not much of a drinker, so out of the loop on inside information.

I think from time to time they do that – I seem to recall one of the TV stations. Like kansas, I am sort of out of that loop but, as noted yesterday, would like to see a return to free ‘drinks’ for the designated driver. Also, better choices than iced tea and Pepsi.

And Brian you continue to flaunt your lack of a basic education. Our Constitution regretfully, does not diallow voting based upon who agrees with you, or who does not.

This is a blog. Your opinion holds no more water than anyone elses’.

This is the law – and it is a good one. Many others agree with me.

I really hope someone does push this at the state level – I have already contacted my reps in both houses and they are basically good bible thumping fans who agree with me. If anyone is foolish enough to bring this up at the state level, and reveal the names of the one or two want-a-be teachers who are not getting jobs in the kansas education system, and provide statistics on how many open teaching positions are in such dire need to DEMAND we allow this, it will be interesting. I will be watching.

In the meantime, if you are really concerned with the lack of teachers in our state you might ask your representatives to REALLY FIX THE PROBLEM:

Increase teachers salaries so we are competitive with other states!!!!
