Brownback, Kansans have yet to make up

Brownbackhand It may take a while for Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., to rebuild trust among his constituents after his time-consuming presidential run. Last November, before he stepped into the ring, his job approval in the SurveyUSA poll was 53 percent. A year later, even two weeks after he’d dropped out of the race, the same poll found him at 44 percent approval.

He is an idiot. How can he ask for a disapproval or approval rating when he was never here to do anything to be reviewed for ratings???????????????? Herb West III west.herb@yahoo.com

Brownback is showing that the special intrest groups are the only “voters” he is interested in listening to. He has completely forgotten who voted him into office.

    Senator Brownback,

Your record on immigration is absolutely the worst of the entire KANSAS CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION. You have consistently supported AMNESTY and benefits for ILLEGAL aliens, all at the expense of Kansas’s citizens and LEGAL IMIGRANTS.

Today is your opportunity to begin to change your voting record on this most important issue.

We have three nearly identical versions of the SAVE act in both the US House of Representatives and The US Senate.

We encourage you to CO-Sponsor Both S.2366 (Sen. Vitter R-LA) and S. 2368 (Sen. Pryor D-Ark and Sen. Landrieu D-LA).

We believe that this type of enforcement bill, which places emphasis on removing the MAGNETS that attract NEW illegal aliens, is the first step in comprehensive immigration reform. We must find a way to begin to stop the flow of NEW illegals before dealing with the huge number currently in the U.S.

The principle behind Attrition Through Enforcement is that living illegally in the United States will become more difficult and less satisfying over time when the government – at ALL LEVELS – enforces all of the laws already on the books. It is also imperative that the government with the full cooperation of the private sector, implements certain workplace enforcement measures. The goal is to make it extremely difficult for unauthorized persons to live and work in the United States. There is no need for taxpayers to watch the government spend billions of their dollars to round up and deport illegal aliens; they will buy their own bus or plane tickets back home if they can no longer earn a living here.

We know Attrition Through Enforcement works because, in states that have passed tough new laws to penalize employers of and deny public benefits to illegal aliens, the illegal aliens began to move out of those states, often before the new laws are even implemented.

There is no better word of mouth advertising than having some return to their homeland and tell their friends and family that they have to use the legal immigration system to work in the USA.

We encourage you to use your position as a great opportunity to enforce the laws we currently have while reducing the future MAGNETS that attract ILLEGAL immigrants.

Looking for your support on this defining issue,

Sam Brownback is out of touch with Kansans. He allowed himself to be manipulated by the far-right extremist elements of the Republican Party. It was unfortunate for Sam and Kansas voters. Kansans need elected officials on both sides of the aisle who will promote Kansas and the needs of Kansans and not bow to the extremists. Sam is a big disappointment. There are some far better choices for Kansans to be represented – look to some of the officials in Topeka that are bringing about positive change and advocating for what is already working in Kansas.

Sam – go back to Parker and get engaged in Kansas your fantasy of being the leader of the far-right is over and Kansans are disappointed.

But… but… Sam Brownback *promised* Kansans he’d remain in the Senate only until 2012.

Since he *promised* us he’ll never run for reelection, Sam’s free to vote the way he wants, regardless of how his constituents believe.

Sam; no we don’t trust you anymore. You went all over the US sucking up to the religious right and they rejected you. Don’t come crawling back to me. I don’t want you either Sammie.

Kansas had years of no representation with Bob Dole, its time to cut Sam loose and get someone who knows where Kansas is.

It’s time for Kansas to put a new face on the State and get rid of these Bush Admin. patsies, Brownback and Roberts. America needs change, Kansas needs change.

Liberals think Brownback needs to make up with Kansans. He is pretty much in line with most reasonable people. Liberals on the other hand don’t like him. They criticize him when he stands against their hallowed abortion. But then he was for immigration reform. Why do liberals say he is far right then? Thats because they don’t want anyone attacking abortion. And they say evangelicals are one issue voters.

    Senator Brownback— Where are YOU????

    Senator Brownback,

We are extremely disappointed you have NOT CHOSEN to LEAD in this fight.

The people who elected you need for you to stand up and be counted on as OPPOSING AMNESTY in ALL FORMS.

While I think the DREAM act has good intentions, it still gives AMNESTY to ILLEGAL aliens.

We need to put stricter conditions on who is granted AMNESTY among with the numbers being quoted.

We see this as a means to SNEAK AMNESTY FOR MILLIONS BY THE AMERICAN PUBLIC,

    LIKE WE ARE STUPID??????

Please do not vote for a dream act that allows millions on additional people to qualify. The young ILLEGALS can use the newly acquired status to seek green cards for the parents who brought them here illegally in the first place.

We need to secure our borders, place HUGE PENALTIES ON EMPLOYERS WHO HIRE ILLEGALS.

THEN AND ONLY THEN IS IT TIME TO ADDRESS THE REMAINING ILLEGALS.

If we do it now, we will be addressing these same issues again, only instead of 21 years; we will be doing it in 5-10 years.

Please insist on enforcement before you approve amnesty for those who have invaded our country.

We are looking forward to your support!!

Please make a commitment to support working Kansans by OPPOSING THIS AMNESTY NOW.

Rhonda Holman can’t help herself when it comes to reporting anything negative concerning Sam Brownback! Eagle readers will not see her treat Kathleen Sebelius or former State Republican Party Chairman turn(coat) Dem. Lt.Gov. Mark Parkison with the same journalistic “open mind” she provides Sam Brownback!

Rhonda provides the rabid Brownback bashers who post their venon even more opportunity to do so!

If I recall(and Rhonda excluded)the poll in which Brownback received 53% favorable, Sen.PatRoberts also was around 53%. Sam Brownback received the highest votes of any statewide candidate of either party for any office in his last election. I hope he will take the time to travel the state and remind people why they voted for him, and of the good work his has done on our states behalf in Washington. I still believe he is a good man with good intentions.

I have voted for Sam in every election as long as I can remember. This next election, I will vote in the primary and general elections for a different canadate. Sam has lost sight of why he was elected, which in case anyone asks, IS TO REPRESENT ALL OF US IN THE US SENATE.

Sam has his sights set on being Kansas Governor. He will require a low higher rating than he has now to acheive that goal.

Brownback is fooling himself if he thinks he will EVER make a comeback. With his disastrous dance with Amnesty and anything other than strong enforcement and deportation of all illegals.

Plus finally the religious right has been outed and marginalized quite a bit with their nonsense about about ID and Terri Schiavo. People simply will not stand for someone else’s religious mythology being forced on them , be it from a Christian or Islamic club house.

Thats where the 2nd amendment may have a role if necessary.

Like almost every politician who flaunts their Christianity, Brownback was afraid to use any of his political capital to recognize the local & state government corruption in Kansas. In reality these Christian politicians’ egos cause them to trust their own ambition rather than believing that God will reward them if they acted more courageously. These Christian always prostitute their values by fooling themselves into thinking that they can ultimately do much greater good only if they consolidate more political pwoer and IOUs by condoing illegal activity. The late State Senator Stan Clark from NW Kansas was an exception to this rule.

Brownback was too busy preaching to 3rd world countries about their human rights abuses and/or had to ignore the rampant Wichita judicial & government corruption for fear of embarrassing Ys Attorney Eric Melgren. Our country is rapidly sliding into a fascist society ruled by a msall group of elitists on a bi-partisan basis. I hope and pray that Gov. Mike Huckabee is the exception to the rule.
