Texas ranger has a message for Iowa

HuckabeemikeIn missing most presidential campaign ads, Kansas doesn’t miss much. One exception is Mike Huckabee’s ad with Chuck Norris, now playing in Iowa. The muscled actor calls the former Arkansas governor a “principled, authentic conservative” who will protect gun rights. But the best lines are Huckabee’s to deadpan: “There’s no chin behind Chuck Norris’ beard, only another fist.” “When Chuck Norris does a push-up, he isn’t lifting himself up. He’s pushing the Earth down.”

I remember Jimmy Carter seemingly came out of no where in the primaries to end up as President. Don’t count Huckabee out. Marketing ploys like this sure keep his name in the news . . . free media is important when you can’t afford to pay for it.

Well “stink first”, he would be head and shoulders above any of your pinko candidates. Even your beloved “Kookcinich”.

I guess hyper-masculine jokes instead of substance are what some men need . . . particularly if they insecure in their own masculinity.

And who says Chuck Norris is right about anything? It’s pretty sad commentary when a presidential candidate from Arkansas has to pick a made-up television Texas Ranger to promote himself to the voters. Does this say more about Huckabee as having no qualifications to be president or Chuck Norris’ insatiable need for publicity?

I used to be heavy into martial arts, but: Chuck Norris can’t act!

Though I would agree that celebrity opinions should hold no weight in elections, they do.

Usually, the Hollywood crowd veers to the Left.

By the way, Huckabee is not my favorite. I doubt he will be the nominee.

    I saw this ad.

It WILL get Huckabee some support. Among those with an IQ a little below room temperature and a little above that of wool.

Huckabee is a joke. Chuck Norris is a worse comedian than he is an actor.

Chuckle.. I like Huckabee’s sense of humor.

Norris’ TV stuff is a little sappy, but it’s easy to identify good and evil, and the good guy always wins! There is something very reassuring and traditionally American about that.

None of those Chuck Norris jokes is new. Google Chuck Norris and you find reams of some pretty funny stuff.

But they should at least credit the source.
