Here is her latest info.

Roy has the MRSA strain of staph infection. This is the really nasty staph that’s been in the news around Wichita lately. He also has sepsis and from what Dana (cousin) can tell from internet research it’s caused by the staph infection.He also has what is called Rabdo (it’s actually part of a big long fancy medical term but is commonly referred to as Rabdo). It’s basically muscle breakdown like after you exercise really really hard after long period of inactivity or laying around for a while. I’m thinking that because of his knee surgery and other health concerns that have made him virtually bedridden – that’s whay may have ‘helped’ this along. The enzymes involved in Rabdo can act like a plug to the kidneys and make them work harder or in this case – combined with everything it’s making them basically shut down.
His medications are:Fentyal drip for painXygris – high powered antibiotic but he’ll only be on it for 96 hours because that’s when the maximum benefit is and if on it too long it can actually damage because it can cause a drop in platelet count and cause excessive bleeding (um yeah, not good).So far he’s had 19 units of Saline. Along with bicarbonate (baking soda). They are trying to reduce the acidity caused by the infection and Rabdo and pumping him with saline and bicarbonate is supposed to do this.He’s also on bancomycim which is another antibiotic. He’ll stay on this and the dosage will increase after he’s off the Xygris.He’s also on drips for Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium – his levels are a bit low and they’re just adding a bit to help him.He’s being sedated (because of respiratory and feeding tubes) by Profaolal.
We really won’t have results to see how the meds are working until tomorrow or Sunday.
But I am very optomistic. WE ARE NOT LOSING GROUND WE”RE JUST TREADING WATER!!!!!!!!!!!! This in itself is a minor victory. As long as we stay the same for now – it’s a baby step. He’s keeping his blood pressure at good levels and his heart rate is good.
Roy can communicate by nodding or shaking head and squeezing hands. He’s gonna fight this stuff and has communicated to me and others that he’s gonna get better and come back home.
I honestly believe that prayer is working. Y’all keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COnservation? It’s a good start. The greatest untapped energy source we have is in conservation of what we have.
Hillary’s Conservation Approach – A Community Village.
Middle class Americans live in 1,500 – 2,000 sq ft homes, with just 2 people per home. This is inefficient and wastes energy.
Hillary will propose National Government Community Villages.
These HillaryVillages! will consists of rows of houses, stacked 4-high to conserve energy. These will be very spacious 500 sq ft units, but will consume much less energy then 1,500 – 2,000 sq ft houses.
Each unit will have one bedroom, and every 2 units will share a bathroom and kitchen. There will be one garage and one electric car for every 4 units. One shared car will be all that is needed.
Shared resources is The Way to conservation.
The existing homes will be bulldozed and burned to generate electricity. This will make room for the row houses.
To conserve energy – it takes a HillaryVillage!
And the best thing, it will be free! Paid for, by Government.

It is a risky move for the former actor and lawmaker from Tennessee. He is the only presidential candidate so far to make Social Security an anchor of his campaign. Although all of the presidential candidates have spoken, when asked, about the need to fix the Social Security system, none has offered such a detailed plan nor talked so eagerly and often about the issue.

It’s a gutsy move for Fred Thompson to make Saving Social Security one of his main objectives.
I see one of two things happening:
1)The same ole political 3rd rail of politics will kill Thompson’s campaign. Democrats and Giuliani/Romney will all “pretend” the SS problem doesn’t exist – as most politicians have done in the past.
Some, like Hillary, will say we will address the SS issue with some committee and fix it later. Well later never comes. Hillary and Obama have both said they will increase Social Security taxes, without changing anything else. Nice Socialist solution.
Or,
2) Fred’s focus on solving Social Security will put his Republican and Democratic opponents on the defensive. They will have to claim there is no big SS problem, or they will have to scramble up some solutions of their own.
Fred’s willingness to at least address the issue head-on, is commendable, and may get the attention, respect, and the vote of many Americans.
All we hear from most candidates are endless platitudes.
Oh, what about HillaryCare! and her solution for health care?
Not even in the same league with Thompson.
Hillary’s plan is nothing but a massive tax increase and transfer of wealth, and enormous spending increase at a time when the Federal Budget is already in crisis. And of course, Government get’s bigger and people have less freedom and control over their own lives.

When Hillary is president and she finally gets universal health care for the country, your company will finally be competitive with European and Canadian companies who have the same thing.

Hey yall!
Last night I wandered over to next door to the Crowne Plaza hotel where I found a blizzard of jarheads wearing dress blues. Most of ‘em had dates in formal gowns, too. The place was crawling with Marines celebrating the Corp’s birthday today.
I bought a round for each jarhead and his date in the hotel bar (I’ve always wanted to do that). I asked the bartender to keep it anonymous but she mutinied. I think every one of those guys came up, thanked me, and shook my hand. They were so darn grateful that somebody left me a souvenir whiskey tumbler the Norfolk group had made up for the occasion. The bartender washed it up for me and it was presented to me as I left. Sniff, I kinda tear up just thinking about it. I and my liver will treasure it always.
What a great bunch of guys they were. And they can certainly drink lakes! ;)
Moving to live in the Ghent area on Wednesday, and my stuff arrives from Kansas on the same day. My new digs is a rented 3rd-floor, walk-up condo with a humongous clamshell window overlooking the dadgum opera house in downtown Norfolk (!). In getting back onto I-264 yesterday I drove by some big-ass guns poking out behind a museum and guess what? It’s the freaking USS Wisconsin. Just sittin’ there. With a teak topdeck. Wow. It’s like 5 blocks from where I live.

This guy has a problem with facts. Because the cold war ended, Bush 41 started downsizing the military. Bush called it the “peace dividend.” Clinton continued the downsizing.
If Mr. Giuliani feels that the military is too small to deal with Islamic terrorism, why doesn’t he advocate for bringing back the draft?

Giuliani has a lot of questions to answer on the campaign trail about his judgment.”

This assessment, however, is wrong. The Clinton administration’s use of force (or lack thereof) may be controversial, but the Clinton Pentagon oversaw the most successful defense drawdown in U.S. history — cutting military personnel by 15 percent more than the previous administration had planned while retaining a high state of readiness and a strong global deterrence posture. It enacted a prescient modernization program. And the military it helped produce achieved impressive successes in Bosnia and Kosovo and, more significant, in Afghanistan and Iraq. Although these victories were primarily due to the remarkable dedication and skill of U.S. troops, credit is also owed to Clinton’s defense policy.
The Clinton defense team did not, however, do a good job of managing military morale, taking too long to figure out how to distribute a demanding workload fairly and sustainably across a smaller force. As a consequence, U.S. troops became overworked and demoralized, and many left the military or considered doing so. Although many of these problems were largely repaired by the end of the decade, they undoubtedly detract from Clinton’s military achievements. But they do not justify the overwhelmingly negative assessment of his defense record.

MILITARY PERSONNEL TO GET A PAY RAISE CLINTON OKS $256.6 BILLION FOR A DEFENSE SPENDING BILL
The nation’s men and women in uniform got a raise Monday.
In an election-year nod to the popularity of military programs, President Clinton signed a $256.6 billion defense spending bill that provides a 3 percent pay increase for military personnel, even though it allows $11.2 billion more for national defense than Clinton requested.
Despite his objections to the extra spending – most of it to buy weapons and research new ones – the president long ago said that he would sign the bill because it authorizes a pay raise nearly a full percentage point higher than existing law allows.
The bill also provides additional financial security for thousands of shipbuilders in Hampton Roads, authorizing the Navy to begin preliminary work next year on a new attack submarine that will be built at Newport News Shipbuilding beginning in 1999.
The sub is to be the second in a series that will be divided between Newport News and its lone sub-building competitor, Electric Boat of Groton, Conn. The Connecticut firm is getting the first and third subs in the line, with the second and fourth boats assigned to Newport News.
Under a deal brokered by congressional delegations from Virginia and several New England states, the two yards are to compete for contracts after the fourth sub, beginning around 2002.
The bill authorizes $707 million in spending during 1997 for a nuclear reactor and other preliminary work Newport News will need to begin work on schedule in 1999.
Clinton’s main motive for signing the legislation was to provide the 3 percent pay increase for military personnel and the 4.6 percent increase in the allowance for off-base living quarters. The pay raise is effective Jan. 1.
“Our service men and women go the extra mile for us. And we, in turn, should do the same for them,” Clinton said.
The pay increase treats all service members equally in percentage terms. But because military pay is based on rank and longevity, more dollars will go to those who’ve been in uniform longest and have advanced farthest.
A Navy captain with 20 years’ experience, for example, will see his or hergross monthly check increase by about $160, to $5,319; while a captain with 24 years in the Navy will get a $175 increase, to $5,817.
Similarly, a 2nd class petty officer with 10 years in uniform will get a $48 per month increase, to 1,640, but one with four more years’ experience will collect an extra $50, for a total of $1,731 per month.
The bill authorizes a $1.3 billion increase over this year’s military budget.
The $11.2 billion approved in excess of Clinton’s request includes $3.4 billion for four Aegis radar-equipped destroyers, $2.2 billion for production models of an enhanced Navy FA-18 fighter and $2 billion to continue developing the Air Force F-22 air superiority fighter.
“This bill makes good on our pledge to keep our armed forces the best trained, best equipped fighting force on earth,” Clinton said, adding: “It gives us the technological edge to prevail on the battlefields of tomorrow.”
Though the bill signed Monday is referred to informally as the defense budget, it contains no funds. Those are provided in a separate appropriations bill that still is being negotiated by the administration and congressional Republicans.
The White House is pressing for changes in that bill to shift several billion dollars from a variety of new weapons systems backed by the GOP to social and educational programs dear to Clinton. The two sides are expected to agree on some cuts, effectively leaving the military with permission to acquire the weapons involved but no money to make the purchases.
Funds for the new attack submarine program apparently are not part of the negotiations, however.

I can understand Max’s position. I myself voted for a blue person for the first time in my life last fall. When the republicans gave up their conservative beliefs, increased spending, didn’t wall up the border, and failed to stand for any republican values except abortion, Christians, and the war – I’m on the fence too.
At least republicans admit dissatisfaction with their leaders, and are not AFRAID to post their individual minds, instead of the party dogma.

Going to personnel about a new ID card – there were two people, one senior – on junior and the junior person was borrowed from another unit.
Yeah, pay raise ken – to the skeleton crew. I talked with several of the active duty people. When people talk in mono tone, not a smile on their face and then slowly drift away from you, there is something wrong – morale was piss poor.
The 90s after the Gulf War were depressing times for our young active duty military members. They did more with much, much less with less pay and low morale.
A lot of people who got the “Cold War Certificates” that Clinton signed laughed about them and called it White House toilet paper.
There’s press releases, then there’s reality – I witnessed the reality and it was very sad.

The link posted here by someone (who shall remain nameless for legal purposes) was directly to a purchased product database that was not meant for public view.
That database was private and a security breach was made.
The owners of that Website and the Corporate level management have been notified.
So JM, you are saying it’s okay to compromise a database of products purchased? What’s next? Online bank accounts?
I never have posted at the Free Republic. If someone used my information there, they stole my identity and used it.

I’m not going to give you instructions on how to compromise private and personal information.
The information that was posted was deleted by Phillip Brownlee and I have copies of the Webpages before they were deleted and the emails I sent to him with the URLs to those posts.

Ditto what XXX said. I rarely post here these days. Ever since the sock-puppet army took the blog over, I’ve pretty much given up any hope of seeing rational conversations here. I don’t have the troll’s personal information, I don’t want the troll’s personal information, and I certainly didn’t have anything to do with posting what is purportedly the troll’s personal information. If the troll has any solid evidence to the contrary, he can post it. Otherwise, he can leave me the hell out of his nasty little troll games and shut the hell up.
