Funny one, Fred

ThompsonfredrighthandThe Hollywood writers’ strike doesn’t seem to be affecting actor/pol Fred Thompson, who got off a pretty good line about Democrats the other day, saying they “are apparently planning for careers in NASCAR. It’s a turn constantly to the left. They will soon wind up back where they started. And some of them are going faster than the others, but they’re all going in same direction in a not very perfect circle.”

He would know. The reps are quite good at what is called the polish victory lap. For those who don’t follow NASCAR, that is where you go around the track backwards, turning right, and ending up back where you started.

Yeah, Fred and his cohorts would like pretend that Hillary et al are somehow seriously “left.”

Only a imbecile would buy that.

Fred Thompson passed his bar exam on the first try.

Hillary (Her Royal Thighness) Clinton didn’t.

    So who is dumb?

Fred Thompson passed his bar exam on the first try.

Hillary (Her Royal Thighness) Clinton didn’t.

    So who is dumb?

Hillary passed the Arkansas bar exam. But failed the Washington DC exam. I don’t know what the sequence was. Which state bar did Fred Thompson pass? What were the relative percentages of persons who passed each exam. You see, this is simply another example of the way you wingers distort things.

Well, I’m going to blow you out of the water. I have positive proof that Juanita Broaddrick was raped by Fred Thompson. It was a case of mistaken identity. Both men are big you see, and Fred was in Washinton at the time to grade Hillary’s law exam, but missed the appointment when he saw the beautiful Juanita waiting in the hotel lobby for her appointment with Bill Clinton.

Nice nonsense post there Door King, but hey your noted for it.

Appears to be a problem with people surrounding the Clintons. Hillary fails her bar exam and the GORACLE gives up on Law School all together.

And these people want to give us advice? :)

Hillary passed her bar exam, Kansas. And she passed it on the first try. She did not pass on the first try the Washington D.C. bar exam. I don’t know if she took it again. But if you are going to attempt to derive relative I.Q.s from test scores, you have to at least limit the analysis to the same test. Fred Thompson took and passed the Tennessee bar exam. But I don’t expect you to be able to understand the point about different tests, Kansas. You’re a winger. Now then, if you can find out whether Thompson took the D.C. exam and passed it on the first try, and if the test was the same as administered to Clinton, then you might have a point.

And then Fredrick of Hollywood goes to a gun show yesterday and calls it “a little piece of Heaven.”

Yeah, *that’s* my vision of Heaven. A bunch of rednecks selling conversion kits for turning semi-automatic weapons into machine guns.

    Oh looky!

Fred woke up long enough to try and make a funny.

Uh huh. That line never came from him. Oh he may have said it. But ol’ Fred is about as clever and witty as a bag of hammers.

Prediction: As the TV writers strike continues, Fred and all the other stodgy Republican candidates will actually start to talk like they have something resembling a personality. Free lance work for the writers. Here, Fred has an advantage because he has worked in the industry.

Thompson was admitted to the State Bar of Tennessee in 1967. At that time he shortened his first name from Freddie to Fred.[12] He worked as an assistant U.S. attorney from 1969 to 1972, [13] successfully prosecuting bank robberies and other cases.[10] Thompson was the campaign manager for Republican U.S. Senator Howard Baker’s reelection campaign in 1972 and was minority counsel to the Senate Watergate Committee in its investigation of the Watergate scandal (1973–1974).

Throughout the 1980s Thompson worked primarily as an attorney, with law offices in Nashville and Washington, DC.[citation needed] Thompson handled personal injury claims and he defended individuals accused of white collar crimes.[14] He also accepted appointments as Special Counsel to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (1980–1981), Special Counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee (1982), and Member of the Appellate Court Nominating Commission for the State of Tennessee (1985–1987).[10][11]

His clients included the German mining group and Japan’s Toyota Motors Corporation.[15] Thompson has served on various corporate boards. He did legal work and served on the board of directors for engineering firm Stone & Webster.[16] wikipedia

Yeah and he’s also a poor character actor. You cons like 2nd rate character actors. Your hero being a man who sold out everything he believed in so his wife could have nice clothes and hobnob with high society. But a least Reagan COULD stay awake.

Reagan was a union leader and a Democrat.

Nancy recognized that Ronny was a good speaker.

Nancy wanted nice clothes. She sure wasn’t going to get them on her own. And 2nd rate character actor and union leader Ronnie wasn’t going to get them for her on what he was making or get it from the crowd he moved in. So Nancy introduced Ronnie to HER friends. They re educated the good but simple Ronnie. They also gave him lots of money and fed his considerable ego more than Hollywood or Democrats ever could.Reagan didn’t have an epiphany in ideals. He had a childlike desire to please his wife. The rest is history.

Hey I was taken in too. I voted for Reagan in 1984.

Al Gore didn’t take the bar exam in tennesse because he never graduated from law school. He left law school to run for congress. No point in wasting any more time on you. GFYself.

Oh Door King, did I mention that Al Gore dropped out of Divinity School as well? :D

And of course, you do know that Al Gore flunked the bar exam.

In some states one doesn’t need a Law Degree to take the bar exam. Guess what states that might have been? Maybe where dumb as a rock Fred Thompson passed his bar exam? :D
