Delegation taking fewer free trips

Airplanetakeoff In the wake of lobbyist scandals, the six members of the Kansas congressional delegation are taking fewer trips paid for by private groups. So far this year, only Rep. Todd Tiahrt, R-Goddard, and Rep. Nancy Boyda, D-Topeka, have taken any such trips, Associated Press reported. Tiahrt had one privately funded trip this year to deliver a speech at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., that cost $1,091. Boyda took one trip to Kansas City, Kan., costing $881 that was paid for by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

I wonder if they get cashews or peanuts on these “privately funded” flights? :)

Ok. We need a new law. The ‘free’ trips are only one way. I think some of the Kansas delegation couldn’t find their way back home. That would be good. Like, Sam’s been gone for a long time.

The Kansas delegation is taking fewer trips..but a story a couple weeks ago pointed out how the Democrats are picking up the slack and taking freebies at a record pace.Different people…same nonsense.

Amazing…any thread that could possibly be turned negative about Republicans on this blog gets hundreds of name calling, nasty worded posts.

Anything that has something less than posivitely glowing about Democrats gets pretty much ignored by the masses.

Slanted blog, much? Not surprising, considering the level of venom and pure hatred shown most days here.
