Why Sam is meeting with the traitor Rudy

Sam Brownback didn’t have enough support to be a contender in the GOP presidential nomination race. But he had a strong ground operation in Iowa and impeccable pro-life credentials that could benefit any candidate he endorses. So there’s a buzz about the fact that Brownback is meeting with Rudy Giuliani today in Washington, D.C., to talk about abortion. Just last week, Brownback predicted Giuliani would not be the nominee because "he’s not pro-life."
Ross K. Baker, a professor of political science at Rutgers University, told the Hill newspaper: "Brownback is very well- respected. It would give a lot of social conservatives and evangelicals cover if they want to support Giuliani."
Meanwhile, Giuliani has been catching grief from the New York City tabloids for saying that he was rootingfor the Boston Red Sox to win the World Series.

KFG- Maybe it’s because Sam has forgotten his Senate stuff and he’s too embarrassed to ask for the retraining program?

Giuliani had better watch his back if he partners with Brownback (no pun intended, really). He is likely to find a wooden cross stuck into him.

Yeah talk about strange bedfellows! The 24/7 pro-life candidate and the openly pro-choice candidate, what is next cats and dogs marrying, Bush and Bin Laden doing a re-make of “Broke back Mountain”?The two greatest odd balls in the presidential run coming together, I doubt it but then things have not been same or logical of late!

Sigh….what the rabid, misguided, unwashed Hillary supporters (and that is all of them) don’t realize is that a majority of the country will do anything, vote for anyone, to keep Hillary out of the White House. Sure, I expect a barrage of indignant protests and snarky comments to come pouring in from the usual clueless lefty posters to this site, but those don’t outweigh the truth.

    No Hillary No Way

With a 51% Negative Rating from registered voters, you are right on the money Glockster!

If Hillary’s Negative rating holds, the ONLY way she can win the election is the ONLY way Bill could win the election – a 3rd Party Independent candidate screws up the election.

Did y’all know Bill Clinton never won 50% or more of either Presidential election?

He was a true minority President, even more so then Bush in 2000.

Clinton vs Bush..what’s the point?Clinton was a better president hands down. No president ever perpetrated the damage to our country like Bush has..it’ll never be repaired in my life or yours.Who gives a f**k what the polls said in 2000?

It wasn’t so long ago (last week?) that Brownlee posted a piece about the Archbishop who apparently had reservations about letting Rudy in on Communion if the New York pol turned up in the aisle (dressed in drag) at one of his Masses. To the extent that Brownback is sort of the “Padre-in-Chief” among the GOP stalwarts, the observer of these developments has to wonder if Brownback put a call in to the reluctant Archbishop to see if it would be all right to have a quiet word with the former New York Mayor, after all. Or maybe the other Archbishops weighed in behind the scenes and told Brownback that the padre in question was sounding off out of school.

I just thought I’d mention it. I mean, I wouldn’t want Brownback to get in the soup with the Archbishops, and all. Once a soap opera like this gets rolling, you can’t help wondering how it all plays out.

What happens, for instance, if Brownback believes Rudy when Rudy says he’s strict constructionist (cross his heart and hope to die), but the Archbishops aren’t so sure and consequently come out with a disclaimer that Brownback can’t have Communion, either?

What happens next? Romney gets an honorary wafer and a snort of wine for switching sides a little sooner in the race?

One other quandary comes to mind, and I don’t even know if I should say it, what with all the other matters unresolved. Oh, well…it’s late, so here goes: has Brownback checked with Stephen Baldwin about this?

Journalists might have overlooked the possibility that the actor could throw his porkpie on the ground and support another candidate if he hears it on the wind that Brownback’s endorsing Rudy.

But wait: Baldwin has no choice because Brownback’s out of the race. So then the question becomes: who the hell is Baldwin backing now? Huckabee?

Max – Perot pulled more votes from the challenger than from the incumbent. That is the usual situation when you have two challengers and one incumbent; the challengers split the vote.

Maybe Sam the Sham is hoping for a VP bid with Rusy?
