“Did Pat just imply that 2 + 2 /= 4?? ”
Posted by: Chas. | September 29, 2007 at 12:46 AM
I think Pat may just be trying to say it’s okay to post the false opinion,”The truth hurts when told, the Sierra Club screwed the Levees in New Orleans.”
when the truth proves that is false.
And that it’s okay to claim that Dr. Ball is a very credible climate scientist, when the facts say that he is not.
‘Ball Bails on Johnson Lawsuit’14 Jun 07http://www.desmogblog.com/ball-bails-on-johnson-lawsuit
“But Calgary Herald satisfied itself as to the accuracy of Dan Johnson’s letter, and rose in defence. In a Statement of Defence filed with the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, the Herald dismissed Ball’s “credibility and credentials as an expert on the issue of global warming,” saying: “The Plantiff (Dr. Ball) is viewed as a paid promoter of the agenda of the oil and gas industry rather than as a practicing scientist.” “
So how did we miss this?:

Good on you, folks.
A guy and girl giggler:
In Pharmacology, all drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol also has a generic name of Acetaminophen.. Aleve is also called Naproxen. Amoxil is also called Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen. The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team ofgovernment experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.Pfizer Corp announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of “cocktails”, “highballs” and just a good old-fashioned “stiff drink”. Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of:MOUNT & DO.Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer’s research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.Ifyou don’t send this to five old friends right away there will be five fewer people laughing in the world!
Thanks Richard

WHEN AMERICA WENT FASCIST
It is a truism in the blogosphere that one more terrorist attack will turn America into a fascist state. People speculate about what fascism in America will look like, or how they might fight it. Others boast that they plan to flee the country ahead of the coming fascist takeover of the United States. One cannot read these posts without a sense of bitter irony, because one thing is clear to those who are watching carefully:
The United States of America is already a fascist state.
The United States turned fascist on December 11, 2000. On that day, the Supreme Court essentially appointed George W. Bush president of the United States, stopping the recount of Florida votes, and, hence, the democratic process. The justices of the court then slipped away by night, ashamed of their role in murdering America’s great experiment in democratic rule.
The Supreme Court decision of December 11, 2000 is the modern American equivalent to German President Hindenburg’s swearing in of Hitler as chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933. By swearing in Hitler as chancellor, Hindenburg set in motion a process which led to the Nazi dictatorship and World War II. In the case of the Nazis, the Reichstag fire of February 27, 1933 was the catalyst they needed to cement their grip on power. In the case of Bush and his backers, the tragedy of September 11, 2001 was the catalyst they needed to complete their full takeover of the American government.
When one looks at present-day America and reads plaintive musings about if and when America will turn fascist, it is useful to ask oneself the following question: When do you think the average German realized that he or she was living under a fascist dictatorship? How about the Japanese or Italians of the same period? Do you think that Hitler, Mussolini or Tojo made a public announcement to the effect of, “Dear Citizens: Please be advised that you no longer have any rights or political power. We have taken control of the government. Opposition and resistance are futile and will be punished.”
The fact is, most of the “good” citizens of these countries clung desperately to the notion that it was business as usual long after constitutional government was dead and buried. Sure, they knew that their governments were a little further to the right than normal, but as long as they kept earning money and eating well, they ignored the grim realities of fascism.
It’s easy to understand why: the “good” citizens weren’t members of officially scapegoated groups or political activists, and thus they never felt the iron first of fascism. It’s not like the government just suddenly started rounding up people at random and trucking them off to camps and executing them. No, it was only the “bad ones” who were carted off. It was the John Walker Lindhs, the Jose Padillas, the illegal immigrants and the Muslim Americans of their day who were carted off.
In fact, for the average citizen of Germany, Japan or Italy, it was only when the military adventures of their fascist governments started to go seriously awry did the reality dawn on them. Until then, if anything, they merely felt the stirrings of extreme patriotism and perhaps even satisfaction as their countries expanded outward. Indeed, for many, it was only when their countries lay in ashes did they fully understand what had happened. Only then could they see that a kind of cancer had run wild in their countries and come perilously close to destroying them.
In 2007, the average American is in exactly the same position as the typical German, Japanese or Italian citizen of the early to mid-1930s. Unless you happen to be a Muslim, a left-wing political activist, or a regular reader of left-wing political websites or journals, you could be forgiven for thinking that it’s business as usual in the United States of America. You rise in the morning, read the morning paper, commute to work, get a paycheck, hit the ATM and watch the usual shows on television in the evening. Sure, we’re officially “at war” but other than a few news stories and the usual yellow ribbons and bumper stickers, this doesn’t really intrude into our realities.

In their debate Wednesday night in Hanover, N.H., none of the three top Democratic presidential candidates would promise to have the U.S. military out of Iraq by January 2013 — more than five years from now.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2007/09/29/ST2007092900521.html?hpid=topnews
WTF?!?!?
What do Democrats think we voted them into office for in ‘06?
Ending the war is one of the few issues I agree with Democrats on and it’s the defining reason why they get my support. Five more years of this financially suicidal war? That just don’t cut it!
I heard that too, XXX, and it’s not as bad as it sounds, I don’t think.
It’s a hypothetical and candidates should never answer hypotheticals, especially the loaded questions of fake moderates like Tim “Stuck on Stupid” Russert.
We may have a base there in five years. We’ve already got one in Bahrain. We have them in many other places around the globe.
Is that “having troops in Iraq?”
Yes. But it’s not an occupation.
Ms. Clinton–
If your daughter Chelsea had been taken captive by Osama bin Laden and you knew she were going to be killed by having parts of her body slowly cut into cubes and fed to dogs, would you use torture?
That’s Russert’s type of question . . .
Mrbill–
Jello has pork products in it.
How would you feel if your kids were served DOG meat at school?
You know, there’s nothing really wrong with dog meat. There’s no logical reason not to eat it.
So . . . you don’t mind if the school cafeteria serves it to the kids, right?
As for the rest of it, Muslims are exactly right–they shouldn’t be subjected to Christian holiday music unless you want your kids to be subjected to Islamic music during Eid.
I see some are now just finding out about the “ever waffling” chameleon politics game that the Democrits play. :)
Today’s twelve year old’s could be fighting war in Iraq. I cannot believe the top three will not make a commitment to withdrawing our troops! This is ludicrous! They promised during the last election they would bring the troops home.
Maybe I need to find whatever candidate will end this nonsense and the killing. Folks this will not WAIT until 2013. The protests are here now.

Man charged with crime of burning cross into his own yard
ANOKA, Minn. (AP) – De’Andre June told police he woke up Wednesday morning to find the charred outline of a cross burned in the lawn of his home. June now is accused of burning the cross in the lawn himself.
The 47-year-old Anoka man was charged Friday with falsely reporting a crime. He also is charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process stemming from an altercation when police arrested him Thursday afternoon on a felony warrant from Hennepin County in connection with a financial fraud case.
According to the criminal complaint, inmates at the Anoka County jail told authorities that June was planning such a ruse.
“Inmates from the Anoka County Jail saw the news story on TV and recognized Mr. June,” said Capt. Phil Johanson of the Anoka Police Department. “(They) said that when he was in jail with them last week, he had made comments that he was going to do something like this to get sympathy from the community and the church for financial gains and otherwise.”

How about some brownies?
Remeber the woman in Wichita that claimed she was being harrassed and stalked, she was even stabbed by her “stalker”…had the police going for a long time until someone finally figured it out that she was sending the threatening letters to herself, and even went so far as to stab herself.I wonder how often this sort of thing happens..probably more than we realize. Some people thrive on sympathy and attention.
Point by Point
We Americans have let the Zionists wind our clock, and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who spoke at the Columbia University, just got through cleaning it. Like it or not, that’s what happened.
The Zionists whined about their eternal victimization, but instead came-off looking pathetic and ridiculous.
The Zionists tried to shutdown historical debate and instead of solidifying sympathy about their precious cash-cow, they got told-off (or better yet hammered) for being impolite, unscholarly and failing to make a reasoned argument.
For the Zionists: It was Hello elegance, as point by point, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took them apart. They were exposed as deceptive tricksters, a path they’ve chosen to follow.
I don’t think that the Zionists have sense enough to be embarrassed.

Yeah, “Mary Caruso” –
Her alleged tormentor was “The Poet.”
A pretty bizarre case.
Ranks right up there with Wichita’s Butterfield Murder case. Remember that?
Butterfield was a pool and spa serviceman. His truck was left at the crime scene with two teenagers dead and floating in the hot tub. He was arrested a few days later in Florida, driving one of the victim’s car.
The jury found him not guilty, not because the thought he didn’t do it, but because a religious nut on the jury conviced 11 other people that it was *SATAN* who took posession of Bill Butterfield and killed those girls!
Hey, Wichita is a generally a nice little town. It’s not really the largest city in Kansas, but the biggest small town in the state.
That means there are plenty of crazy people you’re likely to come in contact with every day.
Dennis Rader will end up, perhaps, being your kid’s Boy Scout Leader. Bill Butterworth might show up to service your hot tub. The Poet’s “victim” might be processing your credit card after dinner at, say, The Olive Garden.
But those here at WEBlog are familliar with insane sociopaths. We get to read posts from “Kansas” and “Nathan” and “Max” etc.
Ah LTP, from the land of “Bilk and Boondoggle” Kansas City.
A legend in his own mind LTP is.
LTP is already promoting himself to analytical Psychologist by classifying posters he has never seen as “insane sociopaths.”
Perhaps clairvoyance is an attribute LTP has forgotten to share with us. :)
Just working with the evidence you’ve presented, “Kansas.”
“Kansas,” it’s sorta like how you read Fredrick of Hollywood’s mind when you posted:
“Thompson probably doesn’t like to comment on issues he has not studied carefully.”
What a joke you are.
Not all that funny, mind you, but a joke nonetheless.
Fredrick of Hollywood’s?
When did I ever post anything on Fredrick of Hollywood’s?

It seems that Thompson does not keep up with current events, AND also has a poor memory.
His statment re the Schiavo case implies that he KNEW the details of that case, but has forgotten them.
(emphasis added)’Thompson Unaware of Death Penalty Cases’http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=3661867
“Thompson also gave no opinion when asked about efforts by President Bush and Congress to keep brain-damaged Terri Schiavo alive two years ago, saying he did not REMEMBER details of the case that stirred national debate.”
Nope… doesnt look like Thompson would be a great candidate…
Poor “Kansas.”
Poor, sad, pathetic “Kansas.”
It’s either drugs or Alzheimer’s, I guess.
Consider his post to this forum accordingly.
Thompson, a former Tennessee senator who left office in 2003, did say, “Local matters generally speaking should be left to the locals. I think Congress has got an awful lot to keep up with.”
“I can’t pass judgment on it. I know that good people were doing what they thought was best,” Thompson said. “That’s going back in history. I don’t remember the details of it.
http://michellemalkin.com/2007/09/13/take-a-stand-fred/
================But he refused to discuss Senate strategy, instead referring a reporter to a staccato statement he issued on Monday, which said that the matter “ought to be left to the parents and the courts” and that Congress should not intervene again. Mrs. Clinton took a similar tone when asked about the case on Tuesday (before federal courts refused to intervene). “We should take politics out of it, let the court review and evaluate the law and facts and do what they do best.”http://www.nytimes.com/2005/03/24/nyregion/24matters.html?_r=1&n=Top/Reference/Times%20Topics/People/C/Clinton,%20Hillary%20Rodham&oref=slogin
==================
Looks like both Senator Thompson and Senator Clinton have little to say on the Shiavo matter.
So does that mean that Clinton wouldn’t make a good candidate either? :)
Well LTP, I’m not familiar with the term Frederick of Hollywood’s referring to Senator Thompson.
Perhaps if you would use proper names I might be able to address the problem.
Or would that break your Liberal “I only speak in Rhetoric” code? :)
Hell, “Kansas” –
If I had to reduce my commentary to stuff I thought you might understand I’d be reduced to talking about concepts of up and down and colors.
You’ve proven yourself on this forum to be a Shiny Object Republican. Forget about Shrub’s (it a reference to George WMD Bush, btw) fiasco in Iraq. Bill Clinton got a blow job 10 years ago!!! That’s your speed.
Let’s not talk about Dumbya’s (that’s another reference to George WMD Bush, “Kansas,” considering your difficulty of keeping up) repeal of the constitutional right to habeas corpus. No! “Kansas” is more interested in Hillary’s 1980s investments than the collapse of the dollar under Bush Jr’s (that’s another reference to the President of the United States, “Kansas,” although I realize he’s not technically a “junior.” Just to help you keep up) presidency.
Sorry, “Kansas,” that you’re so slow you can’t keep up with intelligent dialog of issues facing America.
Perhaps I should t y p e – s l o w e r – f o r – y o u.
What a dolt you turned out to be.
More ad hominem rhetoric from LTP, but absolutely no substance.
A classic example of a Liberal Democrit. :)
“Mrs. Clinton took a similar tone when asked about the case on Tuesday (before federal courts refused to intervene). “We should take politics out of it, let the court review and evaluate the law and facts and do what they do best.” — NY Times, March, 2005 –=====================
Looks like Hillary DID make a statement… which was the RIGHT statement to make in that case…It was not the JOB of Congress to even make such a ridiculous vote!!And Hillary knew that…
She also trusted the Courts to do THEIR job, as they were supposed to do… Much different than Thompson, eh??
Aw.
Poor wittle “Kansas” got his feewings hurt.
If you’re gonna run with the big dogs, you gotta pee in the tall grass, “Kansas.”
And you sit down to piss.
Deal with it.
Looks like Hillary DID make a statement… which was the RIGHT statement to make in that case…It was not the JOB of Congress to even make such a ridiculous vote!!And Hillary knew that…
Posted by: Chas. | September 29, 2007 at 04:26 PM
Correct Chas and Thompson made a similar statement in his own manner of speaking.
“Thompson, a former Tennessee senator who left office in 2003, did say, “Local matters generally speaking should be left to the locals. I think Congress has got an awful lot to keep up with.”
They both addressed the issue stating that Congress had better things to do than interfere with the case.
So what is the big hub bub about what Thompson said?
I tell you what it is. It’s MSM and Liberal Democrites trying to make something out of nothing.
There’s nothing there, there never was.
My feelings aren’t hurt LTP, you don’t really know how to read people do you? And here I thought you were clairvoyant – guess I was wrong.
But it goes to show that the fired and former Liberal Talk Show Host probably got fired because he could never offer up anything that had real substance in it.
LTP, just like his old, no longer existing radio show, are full of Liberal ad hominem and rhetoric.
Both of which you can get down at any “fru fru” latte’ coffee bar for free.
are full of = is full of
Time for a nap! ;)
Ah! All of a sudden, “Kansas” claims to be an expert on the Terri Shaivo case?
I thought it wasn’t anything “Kansas” was interested in. That’s what he said, isn’t it?
Was “Kansas” lying then or is he lying now?
With “Kansas,” the way to bet is “lying.” Both times.
It’s been a pretty slow Saturday for me, personally. The K-State game is playing in the background and most of the time during the week I don’t have the time to track “Kansas’” idiocy step-by-step. But today has been a joy.
“Kansas” has shown his ignorance all day and been bitch-slapped at every turn.
He’s been reduced to claiming “ad hominem!” when, in fact, nothing has been attacked except for the evidence of his absurd thought process. I’ve seen how you think (such as it is), “Kansas,” and shown how your “thinking” is borderline insane.
You can’t refute my arguments against your positions, so you cower in the corner and claim “ad hom! ad hom!”
Nope. I (and other posters) have nailed you on every issue you’ve posted for the last 24 hours. You’ve got nothing.
All you can do, “Kansas,” is whine.
Perhaps, as an alternative, you should consider thinking.
It’ll be a stretch for you, I realize, but you just might learn something.
Jon Soltz’s, votevets.org, has challenged Rush Limbaugh:
My challenge to you, then, is to have me on the show and say all of this again, right to the face of someone who served in Iraq. I’ll come on any day, any time. Not only will I once again explain why your comments were so wrong, but I will completely school you on why your refusal to seek a way out of Iraq is only aiding al Qaeda and crippling American security.
Jon Soltz’s ad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drnQ5Pvc6nE&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ecrooksandliars%2Ecom%2F
I see LTP has declared himself the winner of something.
I wasn’t aware that there was any kind of match going on.
Perhaps LTP, the “legend in his own mind” is having delusional influences of grandeur?
There is nothing to refute with your arguments LTP, you offer up no facts – just rhetoric.
Heck LTP has been a Lib so long, he can’t tell the difference between fact and rhetoric.
That’s very sad.

Poor “Kansas.”
Poor, sad “Kansas.”
He’s so pathetic he makes up “facts” he cannot cite and has been so crushed by valid arguments he’s continuously resorted to shouting “rhetoric! rhetoric!”
Which means poor ol’ “Kansas” has nothing.
He’s been nailed by everyone responding to his posts to this forum today. He’s had his face stuffed in the shit of his own imagination. Poor ol’ “Kansas” is reduced to whining.
Poor ol’ “Kansas” claims to own “fact,” but presents none. Poor ol’ “Kansas” claims to reject “rhetoric,” without understanding the true nature of the term.
“Rhetoric” is what happens when someone else presents a much better argument against your absurdities, “Kansas.” And you’ve had your nose poked in the cow pie all day long on this forum by a whole assortment of posters.
You can’t argue the issues, “Kansas,” so you’ve been reduced to arguing the process. Nice attempt at diversion.
But it doesn’t eliminate the fact that you can’t argue the issues because you’re consistently, dependably, and constantly wrong.

Who is more credible, the soldier who comes back from war and tell his story or the person who sits behind a computer and posts on WEblog?

“USA Today ran a story this week on the “top 25 headlines that shaped history.” The 23rd-ranked story was the fight for the life of Terri Schiavo.
Flabbergastingly, when GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson was asked about the case today, he said he had no opinion and couldn’t remember the details:…This was a case on fundamental matters of ethics, end of life issues, and the definition of personhood and humanity…and Fred punts the question?
Attention, Thompson campaign: Reacquaint yourself with Terri’s Fight here.”
For Fredo to fain ignorance of the Shiavo thing does seem to indite him as either a liar or badly out of touch. It was practically the only story in the media for more than a week.
Maybe Fredo was asleep that week?
I remarked about the votevets.org. I said nothing about any vets.

“Thompson helped prep Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts for his Supreme Court confirmation hearings that summer and discussed the case then.
In November 2005, Thompson’s NBC show even aired an episode called “Age of Innocence” about a husband trying to disconnect his wife’s feeding tube over the objections of her family.”

About VoteVets.org PACThe mission of VoteVets.org Political Action Committee is to elect Veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to public office; hold public officials accountable for their words and actions that impact America’s 21st century servicemembers; and fully support our men and women in uniform.A political action committee (PAC), VoteVets.org was founded in January 2006 by Iraq war Veterans Jon Soltz and Jeremy Broussard. Since its inception, VoteVets.org PAC has endorsed eight candidates for office – both Democratic and Republican. Additionally, VoteVets.org PAC held 11 Members of Congress accountable in 2006 for failing to provide body armor and healthcare to active servicemembers.
VoteVets.org PAC Goals and Strategies
VoteVets.org PAC has three primary goals:
Elect Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans to public office – regardless of party. The war in Iraq is the number one issue facing the nation, and these 21st century patriots are the only ones with personal experience in America’s most recent conflicts. Theirs is a voice desperately needed in the debate.VoteVets.org PAC encourages donations to endorsed candidates through constant and proactive actions that highlight our candidates.VoteVets.org PAC makes the maximum allowable contribution to each of our endorsed candidates.VoteVets.org PAC supports our endorsed candidates in the media.Oppose public officials who have failed our troops, Veterans, and nation on matters regarding the war and Veterans’ issues.VoteVets.org PAC exposes the records of the most egregiously incompetent public officials. Whether it is the failure of key Members of Congress to ask the most urgent and difficult questions on the war or those whose votes have hurt our nation’s Veterans, VoteVets.org PAC will hold a spotlight on the record for all Americans to see.VoteVets.org PAC is building an organization to fight for Veterans in the future.VoteVets.org PAC continues to enhance its credibility by researching, and disseminating, all government actions that impact our nation’s newest servicemembers and Veterans.VoteVets.org PAC will continue to be a strong advocate for legislation that fully supports our troops, military families and Veterans.

VoteVets.org Board of AdvisorsVoteVets.org Senior Advisors
Advisers are a separate entities and individuals for the organization. Just like there are advisers to companies that are not part of the company. It doesn’t mean that they are part of the nuts and bolts of the organization.
VoteVets.org PAC
You do know what a PAC is don’t you? PAC’s have public records which can be researched. Perhaps you should look behind the scenes and see where the PAC gets its money and what ideological individuals and organizations support it.
From what I found, it is a far left Liberal, purely Democratic organization that aligns itself with moveon.org.
No, I’m not screwed – it’s a cleverly disguised Liberal mouthpiece along the same lines as Kerry’s Vietnam Veterans Against the War that he belonged to.
See if this sounds familiar:
“Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) is a tax-exempt non-profit organization and corporation, originally created to oppose the Vietnam War. VVAW describes itself as a national veterans’ organization that campaigns for peace, justice, and the rights of all United States military veterans.”
Looks real familiar doesn’t it?
Guess what? There were members of VVAW that turned out not to be Vietnam Vets and some who claimed to be Vets and were not Vets at all.
The FBI investigated this organization and found that several of its leadership made trips to Hanoi, North Vietnam.
So pardon my jaundiced eyes on ideological based organizations like this.
I hope you Liberalcrites are enjoying your tag team time taking shots at me.
So far, you have failed miserably in your attempts to discredit me and my facts.
That is what you Liberals do right?
Instead of discussing the issues, you try to discredit people through ad hominem and distorted views.
Must make your mama’s proud that you have to constantly create lies to try and make yourself look good on a blog.
You want fair play and no trolls, yet some yahoo like “my opinion” pops up out of no where who suddenly knows me.
What a bunch of lying, troll nicking hypocrites you Liberal WE Blog posters are.
You don’t want to discuss the issues, you just want to call people liars and cause disruption on this blog and play the blame game.
When someone brings up anything factual, you respond with childish innuendo, empty rhetoric, personal attacks and ad hominem.
Sorriest bunch of losers I’ve ever witness.
Not aa adult among you that can keep his word and discuss issues fairly.
Good point, Kansas.
Let me enlighten the discussion here on WE, and introduce some facts so clear we can all surely agree.
You are a dipshit.
Better?

Yours is a good link too CF.
Rush Limbaugh is one of the most vile human beings to ever walk the planet. Somebody ought to send him an email with that soldiers words. Even if his “crack staff” (one wonders what crack they attend to given Rush’s “medical problem”) would never dare show it to him
J R,
Indeed. I’m really liking the idea of Representative Udall’s non-binding resolution condemning Rush’s hateful, lard-encrusted ass.
It will also be fine by CF2K to watch the Republicrites refuse to support it. Going into next year’s election, fine to that they’re willing to hang Rush around their own necks alongside George.
Rush has a staff?? Please dont tell me that the fool, Mr. Snerdly is real?? He is just a figment of Rush’s imagination!!
IF he has staff, they wouldnt dare show him anything even closely related to reality… It might pop his little bubble!!
And just think, Rush thinks OJ is totally self-centered and plays too much golf!! ROFLMAO!!!
I hate Limpbaugh because he makes us Dems look so stupid. He points out our hypocrisy. And he thinks he’s funny, doing it with those parodies.
Maybe we can make something up on him like we did on O’Leilley.
I monitor all those talk radio goons. I consider it valuable to know how and to the extent so many otherwise good Americans are deceived. Some of my analysis?
Neal Boortz failed attorney He openly admilts that his father was borderline cruel. I would guess young Neal was beaten well and often. This would explain his amusement with the pain and suffering of others.
Sean Hannity: Hannity KNOWS in his heart that he is nothing more than the attractive sock puppet and almost total construct of Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes. He’d never admit to it but it eats at him deeply that he is really no more than a pretty face with a lot of second hand muscle. Carried by clear channel, many of their stations are mandated to run his program whether they want to or not. If he were ever cornered well on the matter (his screeners prevent this) he would quickly and defensively melt down.
Mark Levin another failed attorney. Levin probably knew that his whiny nasal voice would not avail him well in a court of law in front of a jury. Too, his preteen style when referring to women is suggestive of deep insecurities with them. Possibly his effeminate voice is the source here too. Clearly a bully, this smallish man was likely the kid who regularly had his lunch money stolen. And he is gonna share that pain with anyone he can.
Michael Savage Formerly known as Michael Wiener (no kidding) With a name like that, this otherwise deeply intelligent man no doubt had a tortured childhood. Bitter that he was never taken more seriously in the scientific community, Wiener/Savage decided why not make a fortune ranting on the radio. His screaming tirades and late ruminations about running for President are suggestive that his main focus is himself and how he can focus everyone else on himself. To e’s credit, he IS a self made man. His show is individually syndicated.
Rush Limbaugh: From a family of lawyers. Rush had no aptitude for study. He explains that he is just too dynamic a person for study. Translation? He’s intellectually lazy and too narccissistic to risk finding out that he’s well…not really very bright. Rush probably wanted desperately to please his late father but never really felt he did. DEEPLY insecure Rush pretends at bombast and bravado. It’s heavy cover.Unsuccessful in marriage and with no children, Rush says he does not want children. His 3 ex wives are silent (well paid) but it is likely Rush is not accomplished in bed anymore than he was at University. Rush is a hypocrite and a coward who motivates his audience to treat him as divinely inspired in order to protect himself from the shame of how honetly small and pathetic a man he is.
And these are the disturbed folks who move so many millions of Americans.
OK now dinner is ready… Back later… maybe!!
Dummocrat,
Indeed: Limbaugh think he’s funny, doesn’t he?
As for “making something up,” maybe Rush will call a subordinate employee over the phone, masturabate, tell her she should purchase a dildo, and then masturbate himself to climax. You know, kind of like O’Reilley did.
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1013043mackris1.html
O’Reilly settled out of court, by the way.
That’s good CF2K! I love it when we make fun of Republicans. Of course O’Lielley isn’t one, but I like it anyway.
But CF2K, what if someone calls us on our hypocrisy and points out that at least O’Leilley wasn’t President and getting blow jobs from a government employee in the Whitehouse. That hurts me when they nail you like that.
If we nominate Hillary, we will lose. I like her, but I’m a momma’s boy, like a lot of our fellow Democratic men. I don’t think enough real men will follow her.
Sorry folks…this (Jessee Macbeth)
is the PHONY SOLDIER Rush was talking about
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Macbeth
in the transcript…he is a proud poster boy for the Vote Vets group for a while and marched in the usual “protest parade” cluster f**ks.
He was NOT talking about all soldiers against the war…just the PHONY ones, such as the many that have been arrested and turned in.
But he got outed as a loserboy that was NEVER in Iraq and was tossed out of the military cause he was crazy…like Moveon.
Thanks mrbill, excellent research skills as usual. :)
While I’m not a big Rush Limbaugh fan, he’s alright in my world. But he does get a crap load of criticism and BS, especially from the left who is bent in taking him out, that I find all this crap to discredit him unwarranted.
He’s a commentator and entertainer. He’s not the news. Funny that Media Matters (which sucks anyways) tries to portray themselves as a watchdog group of media news is focus all of their energy towards commentators. THEY ARE NOT THE NEWS! Nor do they even claim to be.
The Soros front group has their mission all wrong.
On Rush and the phony solider incident! Go see for yourselves!

For Chas and others…
You think one of these radio ranters is like a blogger? Just him and the phone and a mic? Hey lotsa people think that. In a one station market show it might even be true. But for those who hate talk radio and even for those who are fans of it, here is something more like the truth.
Now first off, the shows are largely planned beforehand. This is easy because usually from day to day there are only one or two stories getting much play. A staff of researchers is working right up to the minute the show starts with research. The hosts views are already backed up. A defense against .any arguement they can see coming against the host is planned as much as possible. This continues all through the show.
Now you call in. Well first you have to get in. With many other thousands of people trying also to do so, your odds are not good. Now lets say you get in. You are now in the hands of the screener. If you are with the host but inarticulate, you aint getting on. If you disagree with the host and are inarticulate or badly informed? YOU move to the head of the line! If you are against the host and have a good solid arguement, you aint getting on. The screener is either gonna hang up on you or , just for fun, send you to a permanent hold line. Snerdley enjoys that. If you have a good arguement and are against the host, the only possibility of you getting on is right before a “hard break” This gives the hos the excuse that he is up against the clock and has to let you go. Before you do go, the host has a short, canned arguement he is gonna throw at you. You’ll get no rebuttal.
See? The host and his screener, staff and producer are disk jockeys. The callers are records. The callers that get air are the ones that make the host or his politics look good. Think you are one of three or four callers? Nope. They’ve got 20 or more to pick for air just whenever it works best for them. Try lying to the screener? They have a ten second delay from voice to air. You just went outside their careful script. You’re gone. Even if they do let you on, they can “pot” you down (turn off sound of your call) that or the host will just talk over you.
Something else to mull over…seems the NYT has now caught on to the ETHANOL Nonsense and sees what is going on. Food problems worldwide, driving prices out of control for other poor.
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/29/world/29food.html?ex=1348804800&en=fc5f44d6448dc168&ei=5124&partner=permalink&exprod=permalink
Does not really CREATE ADDITIONAL energy , it uses as much as it creates…should be shut down and scrapped..UNLESS they can come up with CELLULOSE Based Ethanol on a large scale basis. Has potential..but GRAIN BASED is to inefficient and costly
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/15635751/the_ethanol_scam_one_of_americas_biggest_political_boondoggles
Rolling Stone had a great article covering this in depth…need to watch out for the ethanol , its solely a give away by the politicians to ADM and Cargill and large corporate farms.
Who in their right mind would BURN YOUR FOODSTUFFS…dimwits.
Looks like the Democrites have been taken to task on the “phony soldier” issue and been prove lying once again.
Just like the Vietnam Vets Against the War org back in Kerry’s day, where they drummed up “phony soldiers” to make up lies about the war.
The Democrites never learn that lying doesn’t work.
Re “phony soldiers”,
‘Limbaugh selectively edited “phony soldiers” clip, claimed it was “the entire transcript” ‘
http://mediamatters.org/items/200709280009?f=h_top
“Summary: In response to Media Matters’ documentation of his recent description of service members who advocate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq as “phony soldiers,” Rush Limbaugh claimed that he had not been talking “about the anti-war movement generally,” but rather “about one soldier … Jesse MacBeth.” Limbaugh then purported to air the “entire” segment in question. In fact, the clip he aired omitted a full 1 minute and 35 seconds of discussion that occurred between Limbaugh’s original “phony soldiers” comment and his subsequent reference to MacBeth.”
Full original transcript and audio at above page. The audio at around the 6:40 minute mark matches the transcript at MM page.
Dummocrat,
If I didn’t know for sure that you really ARE the Democrat you say you are, I’d almost think that your equating of Bill Clinton’s consensual sex with Monica Lewinsky to Bill O’Reilly’s unasked-for and unwelcomed sexual harrassment of Andrea Mackris was a fairly pathetic attempt to defend O’Reilly using the oldest of old Wingnut chestnuts, “Bill did it too!”
But I know you’d never do anything as cliche’ and intellectually shallow as THAT, Dummocrat. Nor would you ever carry water for O’Reilly by pretending that he’s always been an independent even though he was registered as a Republican from 1994-2000.
“In fact, O’Reilly was a registered Republican – until last week. O’Reilly acknowledges that since 1994 he was listed on the Republican voting rolls in Nassau County, where he lives. But he says it was the result of a clerical mistake, which he’s rectified. “I’ve always been an independent,” he says. “I always split my ticket. I vote for the person I think is best.”
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A62722-2000Dec12?language=printer
So, Dummocrat, it’s OK. We KNOW how hard you try to be a good Democrat, even though you keep tripping yourself up and saying these silly, regrettable things.
And, knowing how much you want to be one of us, how hard you try, but how you just can’t measure up, we can’t be mad at you. We let you tag along, knowing that Dummocrat just can’t help himself.
comos,
Indeed. Rush spinning and lying? Imagine! Just like his mentor and political patron, George W. Bush.
If I was a Republican, and I had to defend their unpopular ideas and dessicated leaders, I’d get used to lying, too.
Joe Williams,
Given your ignominious status as the ultimate shill and GOP suck-up ’round these parts, who gives a sh*t whether you think the attacks on Rush are ‘unwarranted?’
Facts are like kryptonite to Joe “Democrats = Nazis” Williams.
mrbill,Added to the whole fiasco calling itself ethanol is the fact the big mega-growers like Cargill and ADM get to sell it to the petroleum giants, who then tack on a hefty profit and sell it back to us, so we can use less energy, but more fuel. Gee, and government subsidized; ain’t government wonderful? I know I sure want another big busines . . . er . . . republican running the country.
But the problem is republicans are so tied to this through their ownership by big business, that it will take a major majority changeover to democrats to end this waste of food.
Hey, a win-win situation for everybody but the average voter.
It’s another Saturday night
and I ain’t got nobody.I got some money cause I just got paid. How I wish I had someone to share it.
I’m in a bloggy way!
Screw Ethanol. I get much much less MPG when I burn it than I do unleaded. In fact, it is cheaper for me to pay more for regular unleaded – than to buy enthanol.
Ethanol is a big con job all the way around.
Screw gasoline. It’s big oil and big money.
Screw ethanol. While viable in Venezuela, here it is the province of big ag and again big money.
What is needed to address the energy issue is little not big. Little sacrifices on everyones part. Little walks or bike rides instead of car trips. A little change in thinking.
You are fixed on little J R. Like having a little dick.
None of it will solve the worlds problems.
Go take a walk.
What’s that alternative to ethanol corn called? Switch grass or something like that?
“Democrat” or should I say “Kansas”
You’re confused. It is Rush who has the little dick. It is you have have the big dick in the form of Dick Cheney. Hey if it makes you feel like a man by projection..
The strength of America is in the little. I THOUGHT conservatives understood that. But that is why I am not one anymore
Democrat is not me J R.
I guess it doesn’t mean anything to you Libs that I agreed with CapnAmerica that if I was caught switching nics they could out me. Ask the Capn about the list that I’m on.
It’s getting quite old being accused of being every poster on the blog that Libs disagree with.
It was probably all a ruse that the Capn made up anyway as he accused me once again of being some one in Mississippi or something.
That makes at least the third time the Capn has broken his promise to me.
The first when they came back from the Wichita Voice and they had their “rules.”
The second time when he admitted that I had proven to him I only posted as I said I had posted and he agreed not to bother me about it.
The third time was just yesterday when he submitted the list of names to Phillip Brownlee with names (including mine) that allowed the phony nic users to be outed if they are one of the users on Capn’s submitted list (which includes me.)
Every single time, the Capn has broken his promise.
I don’t know why I trust that guy anymore.
Try to cooperate and all I get is grief from the lying Liberals.
I am more than fair “Kansas”
I am not aware of any rules set by capn. I’ve not been here.
Here is what I know. I know “Republikhan” is in your type pad ID. I know that Republikhan was formerly “Khan”. I know that posts from both of those nics closely matched posts from many other nics originating with “JM”
What I don’t know is the why. Why would anyone seemingly need to use so many nics?
Posted by: Kansas | September 29, 2007 at 07:03 PMKansas, you have some real issues.
——————————–
Ok let’s say for the sake of this debate that votevets is a liberal leaning organization. You happen to think that is a bad thing. I, on the other hand, do not. We will have to agree to disagree on that point.
Where, in the rule book, does it say that all people in the military are conservatives or Republicans? I bet there are a few good Liberals and Democrats in there also.
And where in that rule book does it say that you (no matter what your political beliefs are) can not express your grievances especially if you have fought in Iraq.
Patriotism doesn’t mean keeping your mouth shut when you see your country doing something wrong. You work to try a correct what is wrong. That’s the America I want to live in.
What I don’t know is the why. Why would anyone seemingly need to use so many nics?
Posted by: J R | September 29, 2007 at 10:34 PM
It’s an anonymous blog, get it?
I’m not JM Walker!
There is no sign in.
There is no requirement to use a real name.
There is no requirement to use the same name.
Stop focusing on the people in this blog and try to focus on the issues.
That’s why I’m here. Why are you here?
OK “Kansas” that’s a start.
See? Deal is, when you can continually change your ID you have no record, no history. Oh I admit that could be very freeing. No accountability at all.
It’s not a responsible or even wise tac of someone expecting to be taken seriously. Hence, your treatment here.
I’m opening a window for you here. Tell the blog all your past nics. Then pick one and stay there. Sheesh I’ve been gone better than 6 months and you still manage to be a major distraction here from matters more important. Why?
Anyways, here is your chance. Take it. That or I’ll join the crowd and waste lots of my time exposing you. I have better things to do. We all have better things to do. Don’t you?
Oh and the “I’m not J M Walker”
Yeah I know you are not. I know J M. You know very well the JM I refer to and if you don’t I’ll be happy to bring a bonedig of him here for you and everyone else.
Where, in the rule book, does it say that all people in the military are conservatives or Republicans? I bet there are a few good Liberals and Democrats in there also.Posted by: my opinion | September 29, 2007 at 10:37 PM
I knew very few Liberals when I was on active duty.
There was an even split of Democrats and Republicans, but that would be a guess.
The only Libs I ever ran across were a couple of nurses I dated. I got pretty sick of their constant whining about this and that. I mean, they couldn’t stop long enough to enjoy life!
There were some wives of Officer’s that were liberal, but I very seldom saw them or interacted with them.
Most Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Soldiers seldom talk about politics when they are on duty. If they do it’s why they have screwed us out of another benefit, then it doesn’t matter which political party or government position they belong to, they get blasted. :)
What they do after they get out is their own business, but don’t use the “I served in Iraq or Vietnam” as a soap box.
One of the first things they teach to all Military Service people is you cannot use the uniform to promote commercialism, political or private agendas that would cause disruption, lower morale or generally cause disorder among the military members.
Even though I’m no longer active duty, I still hold that standard for myself.
If I was to say something to lower or destroy the morale of military members, I couldn’t stand to live with myself.
I know what it is like to be on the other side of the world in a foreign country. I’ve been shot at (sort of – missile) and know the fear of dieing and how every thing turns into a dream state when you are in that mindset.
It is not prudent nor is it wise to barrage the command chain, which includes the President of the United States with innuendo and accusations of competence when a war is going on.
I don’t think these young men that belong to VoteVets.Org have thought about that solemn oath they took while they were in the military and how it affects others after they get out.
They are thinking of themselves and want to be heard – sure. But to align yourself with organizations like Media Matters and Moveon.org that want to destroy anything not of their ideology is just wrong.
If they want to use their former uniforms as soap boxes while using uncaring talking points to destroy morale, good order and discipline of active duty military, then they are going to have to deal with people like me.
People like me who know the heritage of the military uniform and know the responsibility that goes with it, even after you know longer wear it.
The former military people at VoteVets have lost their way and have forgotten that using an organization to subvert Military policy is not only immoral, but destructive to active duty service members.
I’ll be happy to bring a bonedig of him here for you and everyone else.

Be my guest and you can be assured you will lose your Blog privileges for disruptive and objectionable behavior.
Don’t duck me “Kansas”. I’m not gonna stop. You’re too much of a problem on a forum I have spent too much time on.
Hey bring it on. Last I knew it was you losing blog priviledges. I’ve met the editors. Have you?
For the record? This is not something I want to do. I’ve done it before and I don’t like it.
You’re not the Blog monitor J R.
I know the Publisher of the Wichita Eagle, we have met a few times.
So, let’s just get on with blogging and quit this vendetta stuff.
How about it?
And just how would it be disruptive for me to re air comments the editors already allowed you to make?
You’ve had your warning J R, either accept it and move on or deal with the consequences.
Speaking of O’Reilly CF2K
Yes, Kansas this does come from one of those liberal leaning website by the name of Huffington Post, but I want you to know that because I am a “fair and balanced” liberal, I will disclose that I do read NewsMax.com, WND, Townhall.com, and Human Events to name a few conservative site.

Olbermann RulesPosted September 25, 2007 | 07:16 PM (EST) by Marvin Ditman
One of the most frequently asked questions I get as a critic is what do I really think of Bill O’Reilly?
This is because I wrote a book titled “The Man Who Would Not Shut Up: The Rise of Bill O’Reilly,” a biography published in January by St. Martin’s Press. While it is not an authorized biography, he did give me 29 interviews anyway. I had such access because O’Reilly is from Long Island, and I was the media critic at the Long Island paper Newsday for 35 years. It was a great honor, apparently, for him to be asked questions by somebody he grew up reading every morning.
All of which makes me the world’s leading O’Reillyologist, more sensitive to changes in the most loved and loathed journalist on cable network news.
I should explain further that O’Reilly off the air is different than on “The O’Reilly Factor.” I’d ask him one question, and he would talk for 10 minutes. Having a conversation with O’Reilly is like trying to take a drink of water from an open fire hydrant.
One of his shortest answers occurred the day I asked him what he thought of Keith Olbermann.
“Countdown with Keith Olbermann” is the rival show on MSNBC at 8 PM. It was the 19th attempt by MSNBC to compete in the ratings since “The O’Reilly Factor” debuted in 1996.The eighteen earlier ones had failed.
Olbermann has been at war with O’Reilly since he went on the air March 31, 2003. A regular feature of his news hour has been O’Reilly winning Olbermann’s Worst Person in the World award, a bronze medal (worse), a silver (worser) and a gold (worst). Bill O’Reilly had the distinction of winning all the medals on a single broadcast (the night of Nov. 30, 2005). As of June, he had gone gold 57 times.
O’Reilly had been above the battle. Where he usually loved to get into media food fights, with epithets being thrown back and forth, which the media threw more oil on the fire by covering, he made an exception with Olbermann. He never mentioned Olbermann by name, preferring to identify him as “a notorious smear merchant.”
“He’ll be fired by the time your book comes out,” O’Reilly assured me. “His ratings are awful. He’s been last in his time slot for years. When CNN’s Headline News is beating you, it’s pretty bad.”
I faithfully recorded his prediction as O’Reilly’s Boswell, a term the New York Times Sunday book review used in praising my work.
Apparently, this hasn’t exactly happened as O’Reilly projected. As I explained in my cover story in The Nation issue of Oct.9, Keith Olbermann is on the rise. While MSNBC is traditionally ratings-challenged, Olbermann’s ratings in July alone had shot up 88% over last year. Not only hasn’t he fallen into the Sixth Dimension and disappeared like his 18 predecessors, Olbermann is now recognized by everybody (except O’Reilly) as the first real threat Fox News has ever faced at 8 o’clock
I didn’t want to tell Bill any of this. He has enough on his mind these days trying to get untangled from his Bushonian and pro-war positions.
I am worried about O’Reilly.
When I began studying him he was a semi-demented TV newsman, who rudely interrupted guests in debates, giving them the last word, which he also interrupted, but lately he seems to be losing it.
As an O’Reillyologist, I could see it happening more easily than the normal viewers who couldn’t watch O’Reilly without their blood boiling and wanting to tear his tongue out and burning him at the stake — and that was before they would punish him.
One night I was stunned to learn from the O’Reilly show that “a national underground network of pink pistol-packing lesbians is terrorizing America.” Violent lesbian gangs are a growing problem, the segment began. All across the country they are raping young girls, attacking heterosexual males at random. The story told me more than I ever wanted to know about pistol packin’ Lesbos who carried 9mm. Glock pistols, colored pink.
Nobody else had the lesbian gang story that day, as far as I could tell. Presumably, it was what used to be called in local TV news during sleaze sweep periods “an exclusive.” Because nobody else wanted it. But this was national television with three million or so viewers who may, or may not be, permanently terrified by the thought of lesbian gangs with pink pistols.
O’Reilly had originally caught my eye for his investigative stories that were well researched and that needed doing. But suddenly he was spending a lot of time on conspiracies like the plot against Christmas and his other favorite topic, how the media was out to get him. Basically, he is a total narcissist, with paranoid tendencies, like Imus and other big TV names. But something else was happening.
Aside from his story selection, his previous strength was his interviewing technique. Mini-debates were the core of the show. You need two sides — at least — to make a debate. Even if they were on his side, if the guests were off 1%, he now would jump all over them. “Your Alger Hiss! And you’re lying!”
He just seems to go berserk more often now.
Forget the important issues. Even his personality has changed. I was dumbfounded earlier this month when he was interviewing Tony Snow, his former colleague at Fox News, about his post-White House future, and the exchange went something like this:
O: So what are you doing next?
SNOW: Maybe a book. Or lecture circuit. I’m going to try to earn some money for my family.
O (snickers): Well, you’re never going to earn as much as me.
That may not be the exact language, but the sentiment is right. He had to tell Snow how much money he makes. He would never have done that in years past. He just never bragged about his money. Probably because he feared people would ask for loans. He is a very frugal person, as my book explains at great length.
Frankly, I can’t listen to him anymore. As much as I praised the early O’Reilly, I think he’s gone nuts. Between the fight with Geraldo, the weekly culture quiz and the body language segment of the show, he has jumped the shark.
It may even be a physiological problem. Could it be an undetected tumor that is short-circuiting his brain? Unfortunately, he has a great fear of going to doctors. So we’ll never know.
Threaten me then play nice with me?
Thanks no. Really please. Don’t make me do this to you.

One of Kansas’, aka Republican, Republikhan, K H A N (with multiple *’s), (stolen) J M Walker and ‘ ‘ (blank) reasons for being here seems to be posting lies about groups, and people that he hates.
Like the U.N., IPCC, credible climate scientists, Al Gore, the Sierra Club, me, and others
Kansas does not seem to “try to focus on the issues”.
And he even brags that he does not need facts.

Nothing but the same ole JR crap again today. Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
my opinion,
You probably know more about Oreily than I do. I don’t watch his TV show and don’t listen to his radio show.
The time I’ve watched he appears to be fair, but I put him in the same category as other “talking heads” to include Obermann, Wolf Blitzer, Sean Hannity, Limbaugh, Bortz and others.
It’s all spin, but facts are facts. If there is something I agree with is facts and if I get them wrong in interpretation then I’m wrong.
I get carried away sometimes with my own rhetoric about political affiliation and ideology, because I’m a fighter. I don’t whine about it, I fight back.
I do hate people that try to spin something when they know good and well it is false or purposely omit facts when they know it distorts the truteh.
I agree with you about Oreilly going nuts. I watched him for awhile, quite awhile ago, then he started getting a large, ego filled head about the “Factor” and how this and that, one thing and the other. I admire some of the investigative reporting he has done, but the Oreilly “No Spin Zone” is no longer applicable to his show.
Oreilly spins the news just as much as any other “talking head” out there.

Good lesson for this blog:
Principal Forces Teens to Apologize on Hands And KneesSaturday, September 29, 2007
WATERFORD, Calif. — A mother says she is furious after a high school principal allegedly made her son and another boy apologize to each other on their hands and knees.
The freshmen at Waterford High School outside Modesto were being disciplined for fighting.
One boy said the principal made them get on their hands and knees, look at each other through a chair and promise to stop their behavior.
Penny Watson — the mother of one of the boys — says she plans to file a complaint with the district.
Watson says Principal Don Davis told her he meted out the unusual punishment rather than suspend her son.
Davis said he could not comment while the matter was being reviewed.
Go away Max. I’m trying to help someone who has been here way longer than you.
J R,
IIRC, the editor has deleted three of Kansas’ posts over the last few months.

Democrat Majority in Congress Fails to Do Its Basic Job – Passing a Budget:
Bush Criticizes Congress for Failing to Pass Spending Bills
By VOA News
29 September 2007
President Bush says he will sign emergency legislation to keep the government running past the start of the new fiscal year on Monday, and has criticized Congress for failing to pass spending bills.
In his weekly radio address Saturday, Mr. Bush said it is “disappointing” the Democratic Party-led Congress has not passed any of the 12 annual spending bills funding his Cabinet departments.
Hi Cos
Do you remember LRB?
I hated how that came out. I really did. Ask anybody.
But this multi nic “kansas” thing. It has to end. For him and for the blog. Sheesh I thought I was gone so long it would be over with when I got back.
Way to go Principal Don Davis. Now that is some creative thinking on his part.
Could he be a liberal Kansas?
The Dems can’t pass a budget, can’t stop the Iraq war, can’t solve the Social Security/Medicare mess, can’t pass an Energy policy that will make America Energy Independent, can’t seal the US border, can’t deal with illegal immigration….
What the H can the Dems do?
Whine.
That is while you are in the military right? When you return to civilian life you can do anything and say anything as long as you don’t do it in your uniform.

Legally, that is correct.
However, it is also legal for me to fight constant lawsuits against someone as well.
I can also turn in anyone I want to into the IRS for suspicious financial activity that they fail to report.
They can talk about issues as Liberal Democrats if they want, but in my opinion they should not stand on top of the uniforms they wore to do so. It is in my view a dishonorable act and a detriment to the good order, discipline and morale of the United States Military.
I strongly suggest comparing Kansas’ post at,

“…When their warnings were ignored, some came to believe it was their patriotic duty to speak out, even if it meant terminating their careers.
It was a decision none of the men approached cavalierly. Most were political conservatives who had voted for George W. Bush and initially favored his appointment of Donald Rumsfeld as defense secretary.
But they felt betrayed by Bush and his advisers.”

I’ll deal with you and your 4 billy goats later.
“Kansas” you are Republikhan and Khan. I can go get the posts.
Why not own up?
I never denied being Republikhan, it says so on my typepad entry.
So what?
Max, Max, Max, don’t you remember the Republican were so mad when they lost control of congress that they did not finish nine of the spending bills. So the 110th congress had to finish those bills before they could start on the ‘08 budget.
Where was his criticism back in Nov. of ‘06 against the Republican controlled congress. It’s all politics.
“Kansas” you are also “khsn”?
I can go get their posts.
khan that is
J R,
This is the last time you will be warned about this.
This is disruptive and serves no purpose.
If you feel the need to feed your ego then do something else.

What is that say “All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing!”
Kansas, I would hope that you dont expect special treatment on the Blog, just ecause you are a veteran, and somehow got disabled, in some way, shape or form, which is not important… But you dont and wont get special treatment just because you served… You did your time in the service… Yet, nearly every day, you post something about your “expertise” relating to something you did, or learned, or experienced while on active duty!! That has obviously been a number of years… So… Get over it, huh??
Ego? I’m apologizing all over the place and appealing to whatever reason you have.
Trouble? I live it and love it. I guess you forgot that is what being an American is all about.
What you are calling ME out? Hell I am trying to help you. But hey bring it.
I’m not saying that President Bush is evil, but we need good men like these generals to speak out. The American people deserve to know the truth.

Actually Chas, there are Non Disclosure Agreements that cover military secrets and classified information that cannot ever be discussed.
But, you’re correct in assuming once you become a civilian, you’re free to speak.
However, I would caution those ex-military who are on inactive reserve that they can still be held accountable for actions they do while on said status.
Not likely, but it has been known to happen.

Well, they cannot solicit anyone on active duty under the guise of being former military.
There was a case awhile back, forgot the name of the organization, but it was former NCO’s who sold insurance and provided other services, banking/stock or something to that effect.
Anyway, they got in a bad habit of bothering people while they were on duty and the Judge Advocate banned them from military installations and any contact with any DOD function. They could talk to them off the base/post, but could not solicit during duty time or on station.
There are also approved and disapproved organization listed that one can or cannot join. Well, I should say – cannot join.
With that, I have to go to bed, long day tomorrow and I’m tired.
I express myself and my opinion here honesly Pat. I always have. There are archives. You can look. I’m way more moderated than I used to be.
Opinion is reduced to irrellavance if not based in fact and substance.
Good night Kansas. You keep up the good fight.

Pat you’ve no idea who you are defending here.
Let’s start the day with the history of the war in Iraq. Going back to the first president Clinton, and ending with an early statement by Hillary – which is before she was against the war, and later for the war, then against it, but now good to go until 2013:
“One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line.”
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998.
“If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program.”
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.
“Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face.”
Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998.
“He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983.”
Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998
“[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.”
Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998.
“Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.”
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.
“Hussein has … chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies.”
Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.
“There is no doubt that . Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies.”
Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, Dec, 5, 2001.
“We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them.”
Sen. Carl Levin (d, MI), Sept. 19, 2002.
“We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.”
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.
“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.”
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.
“We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seing and developing weapons of mass destruction.”
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.
“The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons…”
Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002.
“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force — if necessary — to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security.”Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002.
“There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years . We also should remember we have alway s underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.”
Sen. Jay Rockerfeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002,
“He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do.”
Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002.
“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.”
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002
“We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction. “[W]ithout question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime … He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. And now he has continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction … So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real …
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003.

He’s here to save the world ya know.
PRESIDENT BUSH LIED
I think a whole bunch of democrats lied, are still lying, and you are eating it up.
Just a reminder:
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program,3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,4.) That the money the participants put into the independent “Trust Fund” rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income
_______________________
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month — and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to “put away” — you may be interested in the following:————————Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent “Trust Fund” and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.————————-Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.————————-Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities????
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the “tie-breaking”deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US.————————-Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
This is MY FAVORITE:
A: That’s right! Jimmy Carter! And the Democratic Party of course!
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!————————-
Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violating of the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. Maybe not!.. many Democrats are awfully sure of what isn’t so!!
But it’s worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to? Actions speak louder than bumper stickers. Forward this to others so that they can be informed of the truth.

Hi Max!
You hiding under Pat’s skirt? Send a pic.
And just where did “kansas” go?
Don’t mess with me newby cons. I eat your like for breakfast.
Pat, maybe JR is a girl. Be nice to her.
Why don’t you HELP Kansas
Because he is his/her own person. Unlike liberals, we dont’ feel a need to gang up on everyone.
But I did follow your challenge to him, and if he cannot address it, well I think the proof is in the pudding.
I think a whole bunch of sleazy self serving Republicans lied, are still lying, and you are eating it up.
sing it bother sing it in the bathroom stalls baby.Paint it on that next bridge to nowhere
Ya know Cosmos, that Levee thing is almost as worn out as the global warming links.
Affecting Mark Levin….
I wanna know if Pat is cute!
Whar are you wearing Pat?
And in Max’s case, that’s apparently every day.
Graffiti Troll has an amusing little list of democratic quotes.
The big difference between them and Worst. President. Ever?
They didn’t invade and occupy the country.
And speaking of quotes:
“But let’s assume for the moment that we would have been able to do it [capture Saddam] . . . Then the question comes [of] putting a government in place of the one you’ve just gotten rid of; you can’t just sort of turn around and walk away–you have now accepted the responsibility for what happens in Iraq. What kind of government do you want us to create in place of the old Saddam Hussein government? Do you want a Sunni government, or a Shi’a government or maybe it ought to be a Kurdish government, or maybe one based on the Ba’ath Party or maybe some combination of all of those? How long is that government likely to survive without U.S. military forces there to keep it propped up?
We would have been in a situation once we went into Baghdad where we would have engaged in the kind of street by street house to house fighting in an urban setting that would have been dramatically different from what from what we were able to do in the gulf…
You would have been fighting in a built up urban area, large civilian population and much heavier prospects for casualties.
You would have found as well I think the disintegration of the arab coalition that signed on to support us in our efforts to eject the Iraqis from Kuwait but never signed on for the proposition that the United States would become some kind of quasi permanent occupier of a major middle eastern nation.
If you get into the business of committing U.S. forces on the ground in Iraq, to occupy the place, my guess is I’d probably still have people there today instead of having been able to bring them home. . . The bottom line question for me was: How many additional American lives is Saddam Hussein worth? The answer: not very damn many.”

He also said that putting American troops into Iraq is the “classic definition of a quagmire.”
Pat, maybe JR is a girl. Be nice to her.

Thank you “Just…” for proving that you do not understand dates, context, and are also UNABLE to think.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/wmdquotes.asp“Origins: All of the quotes listed above are substantially correct reproductions of statements made by various Democratic leaders regarding Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s acquisition or possession of weapons of mass destruction.
However, some of the quotes are truncated, and context is provided for none of them — several of these quotes were offered in the course of statements that clearly indicated the speaker was decidedly against unilateral military intervention in Iraq by the U.S.
Moreover, several of the quotes offered antedate the four nights of airstrikes unleashed against Iraq by U.S. and British forces during Operation Desert Fox in December 1998, after which Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Gen. Henry H. Shelton (chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) announced the action had been successful in “degrad[ing] Saddam Hussein’s ability to deliver chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.” ”

And Bush senior saw it coming. I’m not fan of the Bush family, but Hillary scares me more. Her statements have bounced all over the place on Iraq. She may not have said she was leaving the troops there until 2013 – but that is a far cry from a few months ago when she was adamant that we need to pull them out now. Yes, it leaves her wiggle room.
BUT I DON’T WANT ANY WIGGLE ROOM!I WANT THEM HOME NOW!!!!!!!!
Hey Max? You are like 19 and crew leader at Taco villa right?
Any of you pukes note how “kansas” skipped out when I called him out? Now you remember that. Learn from it.

Clinton Donor Scandal Widens

By: Charles R. Smith
Hillary Clinton’s donor scandal woes have widened to include links to Chinese mobs, scams involving the ex-first lady as a front, and required donations to her campaign. A Laguna Beach investment firm filed a lawsuit against Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu, claiming he defrauded investors out of at least $23 million and required them to donate to Hillary Clinton.
According to the lawsuit filed by Briar Wood Investments, Hsu persuaded the company’s operator to do business with him by taking him to Democratic Party events where New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton praised Hsu.http://www.newsmax.com/smith/clinton_donors/2007/09/24/35133.html

” wonder how this will turn out?Clinton Donor Scandal Widens”
Not a lot of press covering it. I guess that is to be expected.
Hillary praising Hsu at fundraisers, and now she claims not to know the guy.
“kansas” with his defenders.
After he quits the field. Telling that.
Max I think it’s going to catch up with her, but the press won’t cover it and certainly will not investigate in unless there is an uprising of demand to know the truth.
Hillary has baggage, and I think her statement on 2013 on Iraq is just to cover herself and allow her to garner a second term. I know a lot of people who thought Hillary was their knight in shiny armor who would end this damn war. Now they are puzzled. But that is good because that should lead to questioning the party dogma.
I hope she gets the dems nomination.
I wonder how this will turn out?

I KNOW you are watching “kansas”
What else do you have to do?
I’ll be here “kansas” or “khan” or “Republikhan” when you find your courage.
If Hillary gets elected before the Hsu and other investigations are completed, she could be impeached, leaving us with Obama as Pres.
Course Obama also is tied to Hsu, so that would leave us with Pelosi as Pres.
Course Pelosi is tied to Hsu, so that would leave us with who?
Senate Majority leader is next.
Isn’t that KKK Leader Senator Robert Byrd?
That’s something to think about when you vote for Hillary.
You are really voting for the KKK.
Course Pelosi is tied to Hsu, so that would leave us with who?
Jeb Bush then Laura bush then babs bush of course max bush hey bush spelled backwards is hsu b
Noted for the record.
I TRIED to help “Kansas”
He bugged out.
I am dome being polite.
I’ve been dome at polite.
Now I am done with polite.
They really need to get these investigations completed before the elections next November.
That could be awful for the country to have to deal with impeaching Hillary, if the investigations aren’t done until 2009.
How can you vote for Hillary while these investigations are still pending?
How can she plan to win and be there until 2013, if last month she called for a withdrawal plan?

Clinton, Kerry & Boxer Introduce Legislation Requiring Pentagon to Prepare for Iraq Redeployment
That is why we are introducing this legislation – Senators Kerry, Boxer, Lautenberg, Bayh, Brown and Whitehouse — to mandate that the Pentagon brief Congress on contingency planning to ensure the safe and secure redeployment of our troops from Iraq.

J R,
It’s “interesting” how the thread switched to attacking your typos, and Hillary.
She’s a woman. She has the right to change her mind – all the time.
And she’s a liar.
She’ll promise to withdraw the troops immediately to get re-elected to the Senate in 2006. Now that she’s elected, and running again, she’s promising 2013.
She will be one scary crazy unpredictable btich as President.
She will be one scary crazy unpredictable btich as President.

Here is what she said November 29, 2005:
I do not believe that we should allow this to be an open-ended commitment without limits or end. Nor do I believe that we can or should pull out of Iraq immediately. I believe we are at a critical point with the December 15th elections that should, if successful, allow us to start bringing home our troops in the coming year, while leaving behind a smaller contingent in safer areas with greater intelligence and quick strike capabilities. This will advance our interests, help fight terrorism and protect the interests of the Iraqi people.

Don’t encourage it Cosmos. If you go back and read the last ten posts over the last two hours by your buddy, you will see zero opinions. He challenges other posters like a bully, name calling, and general put downs. I choose to ignore him/her. I warned another poster (who he/she attacked) and pointed out discrepancies in the “hero’s” posts. Keep posting opinions. That is the best thing to do, don’t you think?
Some things Hillary will do are predictable:
1. Record increase in income taxes.
2. Record increase in Socialist government programs.
3. Hillarycare! will control our health.
4. Guns will be banned. (That will control our ability to live – just in case Hillarycare! doesn’t kill us off fast enough)
5. She will surrender US troops in Iraq OR not.
6. She will do nothing to increase US Energy Independence.
7. She will sign a Kyoto type treaty that will send even more US jobs overseas.
8. After taking a weak position on National Defense and cutting Defense spending, Hillary will crap her dress when Iran drops a nuke on San Francisco and NYC. Then she’ll blame Bush. Then she’ll go to the UN and cry for help. Then she’ll hand over control of our military to the UN.
The USA will be totally screwed.

From a person who wants to live independent from government interference in their life – and one who does not believe in robbing Peter to pay Paul (because Paul is poor), you are absolutely correct.
From a socialist viewpoint, this is all just a big first step toward the US Socialist States of America.
Personally, I’m moving as much to tax exempt and off shore as I can before she takes office.

2 Trillion dollars for Iraq gotta git me sum dat gravy manThursday, September 27, 2007WASHINGTON NEWSNew Showdown Looming Over War Funding
Defense Secretary Roberts Gates on Wednesday appeared on Capitol Hill to unveil the Administration’s supplemental funding request for $190 billion for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Media coverage highlighted the increasing price tag for the two conflicts. CNN’s Situation Room reported Gates “acknowledged the price of the prolonged war is steep,” and he “withstood a flurry of broadsides from committee chairman and ardent war critic Robert Byrd, who railed against what he called the nefarious infernal war in Iraq.” The Washington Post says on its front page that the Democrats “have failed to force a shift in policy on troop rotations or the adoption of withdrawal timelines, but the debate over war funding offers them another chance to push for a change in course.”
The story ran on all three networks, with ABC World News reporting, “If the money is appropriated, that would bring the official cost of the war to over $650 billion. Some outside analysts say when all costs of the war are computed, Iraq and Afghanistan represent a trillion-dollar war.” NBC Nightly News reported, “The request is nearly $50 billion more than the original estimate.” What NBC calls “nearly” $50 billion, according to media accounts USA Today and the CBS Evening News, among others, is actually $42 billion.
The CBS Evening News also put the figure at $42 billion, and noted Gates “said the additional money is needed to pay for thousands of mine-resistant vehicles and to replace damaged equipment.” The AP said, “More specifically, the request includes some $11 billion for 7,000 mine-resistant vehicles.” This is “in addition to the 8,000 vehicles already planned for fielding.” McClatchy reports Byrd “said the total for Iraq didn’t include indirect costs such as veterans’ care or the ultimate costs of long-term involvement, which the Congressional Budget Office has said could exceed $2 trillion.”
Now I’ll have Hillary nightmares, but need to zzzzz anyway.
YOu can bet they won’t be wet dreams!
